Transcript
00:00In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, the Lord be with you.
00:19Dear friends, today as a Universal Church, we are celebrating the memoria of St. Josaphat,
00:27a bishop and martyr, who really worked tirelessly at the cost of his life for the sake of the
00:34unity of the Church. So dear friends, let us come before God as we are. Let us acknowledge
00:40our littleness, our human weaknesses, fragility before God. But most importantly, let us acknowledge
00:48the merciful heart of God for us as we prepare ourselves to celebrate this sacred mysteries.
00:54You were sent to heal the contrite of heart. Lord, have mercy. You came to call sitters.
01:04Christ, have mercy. You are seated at the right hand of the Father to intercede for us. Lord,
01:13have mercy. May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and lead us into life everlasting.
01:23Let us pray.
01:28Stir up in your church, we pray, O Lord, the Spirit that filled St. Josaphat, as he laid down
01:37his life for the ship, so that through his intercession, we too may be strengthened by the same Spirit,
01:47and not to be afraid to lay down our life for others.
01:52To our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever.
02:03A reading from the letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians, I, the prisoner in the Lord, employ you to lead the life worthy of your vocation.
02:18Bear with one another, in complete selflessness, gentleness and patience.
02:27Do all you can to preserve the unity of the Spirit by the peace that binds you together.
02:36There is one body, one Spirit, just as you are all called to one, and the same hope when you are called.
02:47There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God, who is Father of all, over all, through all, and within all.
03:01Each one of us, however, has been given his own share of grace, given as Christ's allotted deed.
03:13To some his gift was that they should be apostles, to some prophets, to some evangelists, to some pastors and teachers,
03:24so that the saints together make a unity in the work of service, building up the body of Christ.
03:33In this way, we are all to come to unity in our faith and in our knowledge of the Son of God,
03:42until we become the perfect person, fully mature within the fullness of Christ himself.
03:51The Word of the Lord
03:54Your Response
03:56Happy are they who hope in the Lord. Happy are they who hope in the Lord.
04:03Happy indeed is the man who follows not the counsel of the wicked,
04:08nor lingers in the way of sinners, nor sits in the company of scourts,
04:13but whose delight in the law of the Lord, and who ponders his law day and night.
04:20Happy are they who hope in the Lord.
04:24It is like a tree that is planted beside the flowing waters, that yields its fruit in due season,
04:32and whose leaves shall never fade, and all that they he who does shall prosper.
04:39Happy are they who hope in the Lord.
04:44Not so are the wicked, not so. For they like windward to calf, shall be driven away by the wind.
04:54For the Lord guards the way of the just, but the way of the wicked leads to doom.
05:00Happy are they who hope in the Lord.
05:03Alleluia! Alleluia!
05:06Remain in my love, says the Lord.
05:09All who live in me, are in them, will bear much fruit.
05:14Alleluia!
05:17The Lord be with you.
05:19A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John.
05:23Glory to you, O Lord.
05:26Jesus raised his eyes to heaven and said,
05:30Holy Father, I will pray, not only for these,
05:35but for those who also, who through their words, will believe in me.
05:41May they all be one.
05:44Father, may they be one in us.
05:47As you are in me, and I am in you.
05:51So that the world may believe it was you who sent me.
05:56I have given them the glory you gave to me.
06:01That they may be one as we are one.
06:05With me in them, and you in me.
06:08May they be so completely one.
06:11That the world will realize that it was you who sent me.
06:17And that I was loved them as much as you loved me.
06:21Father, I want those who have given me, to be with me where I am.
06:28So that they may always see the glory you have given me.
06:33Because you loved me before the foundation of the world.
06:37Father, the Righteous One.
06:40The world has not known you, but I have known you.
06:44And these have known that you have sent me.
06:49I have made your name known to them.
06:52And will continue to make it known.
06:55So that the love with which you loved me may be in them.
07:01And so that I may be in them.
07:05Brothers and sisters, the Gospel of the Lord.
07:09Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation.
07:22For through your goodness you have received this bread we offer you.
07:25Fruit of the earth and work of human hands.
07:28It will become for us a bread of life.
07:30For through your goodness you have received this bread we offer you.
07:47Fruit of the bread and work of human hands.
07:51It will become for us a spiritual truth.
07:56Blessed be God for you.
07:57For through our goodness we have received this bread we offer you.
08:00Fruit of the bread and work of human hands.
08:01It will become for us a spiritual truth.
08:03Blessed be God for you.
08:04How many spirits have led by your children.
08:05May the Lord of God make you such blissfully pleased you God.
08:09Let us pray for my impurities and bless me for my soul.
08:14Pray, my brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the Almighty
08:27Father.
08:30Close your hands.
08:34Most merciful God, pour out your blessing upon these sufferings.
08:39Confirm us in the faith that St. Josephus professed by the shedding of his blood through Christ
08:49our Lord.
08:51The Lord be with you.
08:54Lift up your hearts.
08:56Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
09:00It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere, to give
09:06you thanks, Lord, Holy Father, Almighty and Eternal God, for the blood of your blessed
09:13martyr, St. Josephus, pour out like Christ's glory to your name.
09:19Show forth your marvelous works, by which in our weaknesses you perfect your power, and
09:26on the feeble bestow strength to bear your witness to Christ our Lord.
09:31And so, with the powers of heaven, we worship you constantly on earth, and before your majesty.
09:39Without end, we acclaim, Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of hosts, heaven and earth are full
09:47of your glory.
09:49Hosanna in the highest.
09:51Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
09:54Hosanna in the highest.
09:55You are indeed holy, O Lord, and fount of all holiness.
10:01Make holy therefore these gifts, we pray, by sending down your spirit upon them like a
10:06dewfall, so that they may become for us the body and the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
10:14At the time he was betrayed, he entered willingly into his passion.
10:19He took bread, giving thanks, broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying,
10:25Take this, all of you, and eat of it.
10:31For this is my body, which will be given up for you.
10:35In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice, and once more giving thanks,
10:54he gave it to his disciples, saying, Take this, all of you, and drink from it.
11:01For this is the blood of, this is the chalice of my blood, the blood of the new and eternal
11:09covenant, which will be poured out for you and for many, for the forgiveness of sins.
11:17Do this in memory of me.
11:31The mystery of faith, we proclaim your death, O Lord, and profess your resurrection, until
11:42you come again.
11:44Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection, we offer you, Lord,
11:50the bread of life and the chalice of salvation, giving thanks that you have held us worthy
11:57to be in your presence and minister to you.
12:01Humbly, we pray, that partaking of the body and blood of Christ, we may be gathered into
12:08one by the Holy Spirit.
12:10Remember, Lord, your church, spread throughout the world, and bring her to the fullness of
12:16charity, together with Leo, our boy, and Charles, our bishop, and all the clergy.
12:24Remember also, our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection,
12:30and all who have died in your mercy.
12:33Welcome them into the light of your face.
12:37Have mercy on us all, we pray, that with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, Saint
12:43Joseph, her spouse, with the Blessed Apostles, and all the saints who have pleased you throughout
12:49the ages, we may merit to be coerced to return our life, and we praise and glorify you, through
12:58your Son, Jesus Christ.
13:03Through him, and with him, and in him.
13:06O God, Almighty Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is yours, forever
13:15and ever.
13:18At the Savior's command, and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray.
13:23Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
13:28Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as he is in heaven.
13:32Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who
13:39trespassed against us.
13:41And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
13:45Believe us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that by the help
13:52of your mercy, we may be always free from sin, and safe from all distress, as we await the
13:59blessed hope, and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
14:03For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and forever.
14:09Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your apostles,
14:12Peace I leave you, my peace I give you.
14:15Look not on our sins, but on the faith of your church.
14:20And graciously grant for peace and unity, in accordance with your will.
14:25For live and reign, forever and ever.
14:27Peace of the Lord, be with you always.
14:31Let us offer each other a sign of peace.
14:33Peace to the Lord.
14:41Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
14:44Mercy on us.
14:46Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
14:49Mercy on us.
14:51Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
14:54Grant us peace.
14:55Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who takes away the sins of the world.
15:19Happy are we who are called to the supper of the Lamb.
15:25My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament.
15:32I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul.
15:37Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
15:40come at least spiritually into my heart.
15:43I embrace you as if you were already there,
15:46and unite myself wholly to you.
15:49Never permit me to be separated from you.
15:52Amen.
15:52Let us pray.
15:56May this heavenly table, O Lord,
16:00bestow on us
16:01a spirit of fortitude and peace,
16:04so that,
16:07following St. Joseph's example,
16:10we may willingly spend our lives
16:12working for the honour and unity of the Church,
16:16through Christ our Lord.
16:19The Lord be with you.
16:22Now, mighty God bless you,
16:23the Father,
16:25the Son,
16:26and the Holy Spirit.
16:28Go in peace
16:28and proclaim the Gospel
16:30by your life.
16:32God bless you.
