00:00Hold on goal to go.
00:02This is a really nice job by Daryl Baker because they leave him out there one-on-one.
00:07And he's going up against, you know, the best receiver statistically, one of the best route runners.
00:13I mean, it's hard to say that he's not the guy right now, even with the, you know, some of the receivers that are out there,
00:17the Justin Jeffersons of the world, so Jamar chases.
00:20But he's having a tremendous season, and you trust Daryl Baker to go one-on-one with him in that situation.
00:25Daryl Baker, 30-yard try.
00:29He hit from 47 earlier, and this kick is good.
00:33Makes it 13-3, Seattle, 444 to go in the first half.
00:38We'll step aside from Nashville, where the Titans are trying to find the right note against the Seattle Seahawks.
00:49Printer's Alley, which used to have a printing and publishing hub in the early 1900s,
00:53and then Prohibition came, and they said, let's turn it into a nightlife area.
00:58Surprisingly, when Prohibition left, it stayed a nightlife area.
01:00No more printing?
01:01No more printing.
01:02Nobody wanted to come back and print?
01:03Nobody's printing down there.
01:05The moonshine label?
01:06Try to find a printer in Printer's Alley.
01:08You can't do it.
01:14Seattle with the 13-3 lead.
01:16That kickoff strategy, bouncing at the 10.
01:18Oh, that's a really nice fielding of the kick.
01:20Holy cow.
01:20Yeah, DK, a little baseball background there, scooped that one up on the short hop.
01:25Well, this week, NFL players are wearing custom cleats through My Cause, My Cleats
01:29to spotlight the causes closest to their hearts.
01:32Our man Daryl Johnston, he's got his custom cleats as well.
01:35You can bid on him.
01:36Look at how proud he is.
01:37Bid on him now by going to NFL.com slash auction and typing in his name in the search bar.
01:41100% of proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Sadie Keller Foundation for Childhood Cancer Awareness.
01:48We had to get that shot because the value of those shoes goes up considerably.
01:52They're now player-worn.
01:53Player-worn.
01:53Booth-worn and worn on the field.
01:56Oh, my gosh.
01:57Moose-worn.
01:58A moose-worn shoe is worth a lot.
02:01First down and 10.
02:05And motion from DK.
02:08Ward under pressure, and he'll just spike that one at the feet of his lineman, J.C. Latham,
02:14and it brings up second down.
02:17Well, Moose, I know this is something that means a lot to you, the Sadie Keller Foundation.
02:21Tell me a little bit more about it.
02:22Yeah, Sadie Keller is a young girl I met years ago and met her around the Christmastime season.
02:28So she was doing a toy drive because when she was fighting her leukemia, she got out just before Christmastime,
02:33and she wanted to make sure that Santa Claus knew there was a lot of kids that were in the hospital
02:37and weren't going to be home at Christmastime.
02:38And so she's made sure that those kids get presents brought into the hospital.
02:42So we've always helped her out every year.
02:44And that's just a part of what Sadie Keller Foundation does for childhood cancer awareness.
02:50She's been on Capitol Hill multiple times.
02:53She's been at the White House multiple times.
02:55She was a big spokesperson for the STAR Act, which is childhood cancer survivorship, treatment, access, and research.
03:02So she's just one of those unique people that you get a chance to meet in your life
03:06that has taken something that was a challenge and a negative in her childhood
03:11and just made a complete positive out of it and helped so many other kids that are battling childhood cancer.
03:16Yeah, my cause, my cleats is such a cool thing.
03:18The NFL does this over the next couple of weeks.
03:20You'll see it this week around the league.
03:21You'll see it next week because they allow teams to be able to do it at their home field.
03:27Third down and nine at the 28.
03:29Ward over the middle, open, and a first down.
03:34It's James Prochet, his first catch of the year, and a big one to get a first down for Tennessee.
03:41And that gets us our second game break with Carissa.
03:43Thank you so much, Kevin.
03:45Giants up three on the Lions.
03:46Jameis Winston throws his second touchdown pass of the first half.
03:49This one, nice catch by Isaiah Hodgkins, back of the end zone.
03:54Giants lead this one 17-7.
03:56Kev?
03:56Our talent spotter, David Salati, decked out head-to-toe in Giants gear today.
04:04He's very excited about that.
04:07First down and 10 at the 49-yard line.
04:11Motion from DK across.
04:13And on first down, the handoff is to Pollard.
04:16Not much there, and it's second down for the Titans.
04:21And for more on Cam Ward and his communication, we check in with Allison.
04:25Well, Cam takes so much pride and a lot of confidence he draws from the mental work he puts in, all the film he studies.
04:31And he told us in watching Seattle that they do some things differently and like to play more games with their blitz pressure.
04:35But he still feels confident and he knows where his hot is coming from.
04:38And that's what he was talking to with his receivers.
04:41He took the iPad over to them.
04:42He talked to them about when they bring that corner blitz, how he will communicate to them, and what they need to do.
04:47Guys, watching him engage and interact on the sideline, you would not think he is a rookie.
04:52Yeah, they've been impressed with his work ethic for sure as he finds Prochet again for his second catch on the drive.
04:58And it'll leave him a yard short of a first down.
05:01Talking to Mike McCoy, talking with everybody around this franchise, first in the building.
05:06He lives at the building.
05:07He's always in film study.
05:08He's trying to get better and better each week.
05:11And Mike McCoy said, I've seen it a lot over the last month, the growth from this young quarterback.
05:14Yeah, actually good friends with Zach Woodfin, the strength and performance coach here in Tennessee.
05:19And that's what he said, training camp.
05:20It's 530.
05:21We open up, first guy in the shop.
05:23Here comes Cam Ward.
05:24Regular season, it's 6 o'clock.
05:26Here comes Cam Ward.
05:27It's just who he is.
05:28He's very strict and disciplined in his approach to the game.
05:31And when we ask people, do you have the guy?
05:33Do you have your future?
05:35We sure do.
05:36We sure do.
05:38Verizon halftime coming up with Kurt, Terry, Howie, Michael, and Gronk.
05:43How about Emmanuel Wilson running it in?
05:45Jameis Winston airing it out.
05:47And if you had Emmanuel Wilson and Jameis Winston as the two highlights of the Verizon halftime show, you win.
05:54Cam Ward airing it out too.
05:5579% completion percentage in this first half.
05:59Now a third and one for the Titans.
06:02They're one for one today.
06:04On third down and one.
06:06Play action for Ward.
06:08Floats it down the sideline for his tight end helm.
06:11And he can't pull it in.
06:14It'll bring up fourth and one.
06:15And you've got to think.
06:16You're one and nine.
06:17It's 13 to three.
06:18You're going to go for it here.
06:20Yeah.
06:20And I think you knew that on the third down play selection.
06:23Let's see if we can get something over the top.
06:26And Gunnar Helm, he elevated a little bit early.
06:29So the timing on the jump kind of threw him off a little bit.
06:32But I like that play call.
06:34Let's be aggressive.
06:34See if we can take a shot.
06:35We've got a Seattle Seahawks player on a knee right now.
06:39I think it was Uchenna Nwosu who was in coverage on Gunnar Helm on that last play.
06:43Just what you needed.
06:44Somebody else in that linebacker area that's going to be dinged up for Seattle.
06:49I mean, you've already got Ernest Jones out.
06:52Connor O'Toole was inactive today.
06:54Surratt is out for the rest of the day.
06:56And now Nwosu dinged up for Seattle.
07:01Time out in Nashville.
07:02Uchenna Nwosu is the guy in coverage playing that edge position.
07:09As Gunnar Helm releases, he's going to have to take him in coverage.
07:11And just lands a little bit awkwardly on the knee right there.
07:15And as he was making his way back to the huddle, he's like, wait a minute.
07:18Something doesn't feel right.
07:19Looks to be okay, though.
07:20Not getting any attention paid to him.
07:22On fourth and one, Titans will go.
07:24They go with Chestnut trying to push the pile.
07:27I don't think he got there.
07:28Terrific surge up front by the middle of that tent, that Seattle line.
07:35And it looked by initial indication that he's short, and he is.
07:39A turnover on downs.
07:41Seattle gets the stop on fourth and one.
07:45Well, you've got a complete miss by Kevin Zeitler.
07:48And that's the problem because that's right where the football is going to be run.
07:52And you're hoping to get a duo on this.
07:54So watch 70.
07:55You're trying to get a duo there, and he misses.
07:57You can see him come through right there.
08:00So as he's trying to get that big hit along with Skoranski pulling there,
08:06and you just miss.
08:07So you lose one of your big bodies up front to get some push.
08:11So now two-minute drill time for Sam Darnold with two timeouts
08:16and a minute 48 to work with.
08:18And remember, Seattle won the toss and elected to defer.
08:21They're going to get the football to start the second half.
08:23On first down, handoff up the gut.
08:31Zach Charbonnet picks up two.
08:35Well, they stood up on that last drive once they got down into the deep red zone
08:39and held them to a field goal.
08:40Yeah, that scenario is sitting here.
08:43It was a great job there.
08:44And offensively, just so frustrating.
08:46You saw how well Cam's been throwing the ball today
08:49compared to how he's been throwing it during the course of the year.
08:52It's 79% completion percentage.
08:54Do you think about getting him out on the edge on that play
08:57instead of running into the heart of that Seattle defense?
09:03Cup in motion.
09:05Quiet day so far for Cooper Cup.
09:08Second and eight.
09:09Pressure comes.
09:10Darnold outlet to Charbonnet.
09:12Charbonnet up the sidelines.
09:13He's got a first down and out of bounds at the 49 of Tennessee.
09:19Running behind Rasheed Shahid to pick up nine and a first.
09:23And that just helps, you know, with the decision-making process, right?
09:26When you've got a quarterback that checks it down,
09:30trusts his running back to, hey, there's a swing.
09:32Let me just get it out to Zach on the outside.
09:34And then you've got wide receivers down the field working to extend the run.
09:39That really creates that confidence in Sam Darnold
09:42where I don't have to force the ball.
09:44I've got really talented guys around me to help out.
09:49Darnold on first down.
09:51Missed his target there.
09:53Shahid looked like he was open.
09:55Coverage in the area from Kevin Winston.
09:58And it'll bring up second and ten.
10:01Still 57 seconds.
10:02Still two timeouts.
10:04An eternity for Darnold and this Seattle offense came into the week.
10:09Top six in the National Football League in total offense.
10:12Fourth through the air.
10:13And the third-best scoring offense, like we talked about.
10:16They have everything they need.
10:18Offense, defense, special teams.
10:22Just that one tricky area.
10:24It's just minorly important in the NFL.
10:28It's Charbonnet up the middle.
10:30Nice run by Zach Charbonnet.
10:33Somehow found space where it looked like there wasn't any.
10:36And he picks up 13.
10:40And they're going right at, you know, Jeffrey Simmons.
10:43So, that's impressive.
10:45That's good blocking up front.
10:46Here's Darnold on first down.
10:49Jackson Smith and Jigba.
10:51Dancing from the 30-yard line.
10:53And a stiff arm out of bounds at the 25.
10:55Chased out by Winston after an 11-yard gain.
10:58Stops the clock with 31 seconds to play in the first half.
11:07So, Darnold and company with 31 seconds.
11:09Still those two timeouts to work with.
11:11So far, excellent operation in the two-minute drill.
11:15I'm just, I'm very impressed with Mike McDonald and how he handles as a first-time head coach, end of half, end of game.
11:22It's a challenging thing for a head coach to do, especially when you're a play caller on that defensive side.
11:27And you're up there and you're watching everything.
11:29He's just, he's been outstanding here in year two.
11:34Here's Darnold on first down.
11:35Pumps and throws over the middle.
11:37There's Cooper Cupp.
11:38His first catch.
11:39And a coop sound.
11:41With the timeout called at the 13-yard line.
11:47One timeout remaining for Seattle.
11:49The greatest rivalry in sports is back on Fox.
11:52It's Ohio State, the top-ranked, undefeated, defending national champ, heads to the big house at Ann Arbor, where 9-2 Michigan is waiting.
11:59Having won four straight over their hated arch-rival Buckeyes.
12:03It all starts at 9 a.m. Eastern with a special three-hour edition of Big Noon Kickoff.
12:07Live from Ann Arbor.
12:08Then it's the game.
12:10Ohio State and Michigan at noon right here on Fox.
12:14You know JSN will be watching that one, former Buckeye.
12:19Zach Charbonnet began his career at Michigan.
12:21He may care less after having been a Bruin.
12:27Ann Arbor played at Miami.
12:28The great conversation from last year.
12:31You win the national title, but on the football, it's going to say, lost Michigan.
12:35Does that matter?
12:36I mean, that's how much that rivalry means where you win a national championship and a lot of Ohio State fans, well, ah, geez, you know, we lost to Michigan.
12:47Darnold.
12:49With time.
12:49Checks over the middle with Smith and Jigba, who runs toward the sideline, and he goes down inbounds.
12:56Clock will run, but a timeout is used.
12:58Seattle's final timeout is called.
13:0013 seconds to go in this first half.
13:08Let's check in with Kurt Menefee in Los Angeles.
13:10There is an injured player on the far sideline, out of bounds on the sideline, and it's Daryl Baker who is down for Tennessee.
13:20So Daryl Baker being tended to by the athletic training staff, which means that Seattle does not use that timeout.
13:34They still have one timeout remaining as a result of the injury, and Tennessee gets charged with the timeout because of the injury on the far sideline.
13:45So while they tend to Daryl Baker, we will step aside.
13:4814 seconds remaining in the first half.
13:53Daryl Baker up, able to get over to the sideline under his own power.
13:56No training staff around him.
13:58You see what happened here with Daryl Baker.
14:00Yeah, Zach Charbonnet coming back to get a block on him.
14:02You see that elbow kind of go in that rib cage, hip area.
14:05Oh, boy, again, from experience.
14:08That does not feel good.
14:11For Seattle, a team that's 7-3, is firmly in the mix, not only in their division, but in this overall playoff picture right now in the driver's seat for a wild card.
14:22But the NFC West is certainly not out of reach for the Seattle Seahawks.
14:25They've got a game against the Rams coming up on Thursday Night Football in a few weeks.
14:29So everything wide open right now in the NFC playoff picture for Seattle.
14:33Yeah, you look at some of the projections in the matchups.
14:35I mean, you could be in the month of December with San Francisco, Seattle, and the Rams all with 10-plus wins.
14:44Second and nine.
14:45And this play stops before it starts.
14:48A little motion against Seattle.
14:53I really think...
14:54Offense number 72.
14:56Five-yard penalty.
14:58Second down.
14:59It's a full start.
14:59Yeah, it's that element that we...
15:02As we're looking at red zone offense versus red zone defense, and you're trying to figure out, you know, what are some of the things that are really big players in this?
15:09I mean, that's one of them right there.
15:10Just those penalties.
15:12Those little setbacks.
15:13You know, the mistakes that an offense makes inside the red zone are magnified so much more.
15:18So that five-yard fault start that's out, you know, between the 20s and things like that, can you overcome that?
15:24It's hard down here just because of how everything gets compressed.
15:27Darryl Baker back out there for Tennessee.
15:31Second and 14 from the 17.
15:35Darnold under pressure on the run.
15:38Throwing for the end zone.
15:39A flag is down.
15:40The pass incomplete.
15:41Looking for Rasheed Shahid.
15:45And this flag is going to be against Tennessee.
15:48There's also a penalty flag around where Sam Darnold was when he got rid of the football.
15:52There were fouls by both teams during the play.
16:00Holding offense number 76.
16:03Prado pass holding defense number 35.
16:07Those penalties offset.
16:08He's second down.
16:10So nine seconds to go, and it's second and 14 once more.
16:14You still have one timeout if you're Seattle to work with before the end of the half.
16:19You look at it that time, you can get into the end zone.
16:30Can you get into the end zone twice?
16:34If you wanted to be your fourth down, I mean, this is the one.
16:37You've got the time to get it into the end zone at nine seconds.
16:42See where Darnold goes with it here.
16:44Darnold looking to the end zone for Jackson Smith and Jigba incomplete out of bounds.
16:53He caught the ball, but he didn't get his feet down.
16:56Samuel Womack making sure to help him get out of bounds.
17:01A good job of understanding the situation, but I tell you what, Samuel Womack, who had the penalty on the previous play,
17:08on that play, he's got to be able to pick that football up.
17:11You've got to be able to play that defense and understand when that ball could be coming and get your head turned around.
17:16He's lucky that they ran out of real estate right there, and Jackson Smith and Jigba couldn't get those feet down.
17:22From 36 yards to close the half for Jason Myers, two for two this afternoon.
17:28And the kick by Myers is good, and Seattle with a 16-3 lead at the half.
17:39Time to get more stats with Geico.
17:43Seattle four drives, four scores today.
17:46Their average starting field position a big deal.
17:48Their own 43-yard line.
17:50That's helped.
17:51126 yards passing to 45 on the ground.
17:55Halftime here in Nashville with a 16-3 lead for Seattle.
17:59We go right to Los Angeles.
18:01The Verizon Halftime Show starts now.
18:07Well, this week, NFL players are wearing custom cleats through My Cause, My Cleats to spotlight the causes closest to their hearts.
18:14Darnold with time going up top for Jackson Smith, and Jigba drops it in the bucket, and he will backpedal for a touchdown.
18:29That was today's game flow presented by Progressive.
18:36A first half that saw Seattle take the 16-3 lead into the locker room.
18:40Very workman-like first half with that one big play to Jackson Smith in Jigba.
18:45We welcome you back to the booth alongside Darrell Johnston.
18:48I'm Kevin Kugler.
18:49The Seattle team's got it all.
18:50They've got the special teams, the defense, the offense, and today no turnovers.
18:54Yeah, I think that that is obviously the biggest thing that we talked about, and if they can continue to do that throughout the course of this game and down the season,
19:01they're going to be a tough out when you get to the playoffs.
19:03Tennessee, I'm impressed with today.
19:05I mean, they've come out, and they haven't shot themselves in their foot the way they have so many times during the course of the season up until this point.
19:14They've stood up.
19:15There's a couple of drives there with Seattle with an opportunity to really kind of put some stress on this game,
19:21and their defense was able to hold in there.
19:23This opening series is huge because Tennessee's defense has done it twice.
19:29Can they come out and do it one more time and get this offense, the football back?
19:33I think Cam Ward has played well, so as good as we thought the Seahawks team was coming in,
19:39if they could kind of work on that turnover issue, and they have in the first half,
19:43I'm impressed by Tennessee hanging in there and slugging it out with them.
19:47Here's Shahid to work, and Shahid dropped at the 24-yard line.
19:55James Williams on the tackle as we send it down to Allison Williams, who talked with both coaches.
20:00Yeah, I'll start with Tennessee, and Mike McCoy will see his defense to start here.
20:04And pleased with the way they played in that first half, especially in the red zone,
20:07enforcing field goals.
20:08He said, we came up with some big stops defensively, and it's on our offense now
20:11to stay on the field a bit and take some pressure off of our defense.
20:15And we got off to a good start.
20:16Cam Ward playing well, but the penalties, it really hurt us.
20:19And that's kind of what Mike McDonald said as well.
20:21He's got an issue with the penalties on offense.
20:23He said, it's all operational stuff that is killing us, especially in the red zone.
20:28And we got to get back to the principles we practice all the time and clean up some of
20:32our pre-snap issues.
20:33Yeah, 0 for 2 in the red zone.
20:35Now 1 for 6 the last game and a half for Seattle.
20:38Darnold on first down.
20:39Flushed, finds Smith and Jigba.
20:41Another big play.
20:43Jackson Smith and Jigba still on his feet and finally out of bounds at the 20-yard line
20:48of Tennessee.
20:50Kevin Winston wrestled him out 56 yards downfield and a big play on first down.
20:56Yeah, you're talking about the one guy you can't let do this.
21:00And I know that at some point there's going to be defensive calls and you want to be able
21:04to play a little bit man-to-man.
21:06But you've got to be very, very careful based on where you are pre-snap and how you're going
21:13to have your coverage set.
21:14That's the second time they've gotten Jackson Smith and Jigba on a safety and it's 110 yards
21:20of offense.
21:20His eighth 100-yard game of the season.
21:25It extends the Seattle record as Kenneth Walker is banged out near the 14-yard line.
21:30Well, last week extended throws were a problem for Sam Darnold.
21:3759% completion when he had over two and a half seconds to throw.
21:40But today, over 15 yards per attempt, one touchdown, a 70% completion percentage.
21:45And his 25th completion a moment ago, Moose, of 25 yards or more.
21:50He came into the week.
21:51It was Goff, Mahomes, and Darnold each with all of those big plays.
21:56And now both of those other guys are playing right now, but Darnold moves one ahead for
22:00the moment.
22:02Yeah, the efficiency of the run game and it's really picked over the last three weeks and
22:06now getting back to some of those explosive pass plays.
22:09On second and four play action.
22:12Darnold to the end zone.
22:13Smith in Jigba with his second touchdown of the day.
22:1713 yards and Seattle storms down the field to grab six out of the locker room.
22:26Just watch the route.
22:31So he's going to win inside.
22:33Then he's going to bend outside to give him some space from the safety before he comes
22:36back.
22:37And just really well-timed, well-thrown by Sam Darnold.
22:41But what really nice structure in the route to be able to free himself and keep him away
22:45from a big hit from the safety.
22:50Myers on for the extra point.
22:52And a flag and this will not make Mike McDonald happy.
22:58Another operational penalty.
23:03He told Allison that was something he was really frustrated by in that first half.
23:08And false start by the right guard.
23:14It's a five-yard penalty.
23:18Fourth false start today for Seattle.
23:22Yeah.
23:22And it's not necessarily the number in the yards.
23:25It's just the type of penalty that's frustrating because it's within your control.
23:29It's a lack of concentration and focus.
23:32So five yards back for Myers.
23:35A 38-yard extra point.
23:38And the kick is good nonetheless.
23:4023-3 Seattle.
23:43What a burst out of the locker room.
23:45Darnold, Jackson Smith, and Jigba connecting for their seventh touchdown of the year in Seattle.
23:51In control.
23:53Handing out some love in Nashville.
23:59Jackson Smith and Jigba all smiles.
24:01Why not?
24:01Six catches.
24:03155 yards.
24:04Two touchdowns.
24:05He's found himself in favorable matchups all day long.
24:08And more importantly, his quarterback has found him when he's been in those favorable matchups.
24:16DK a yard deep in the end zone.
24:18He'll bring it out.
24:19Looking for a big play.
24:21Can he find one on the edge?
24:23He's run out of bounds near the 27-yard line.
24:26More on Jackson Smith and Jigba when you look at what he's done from a receiving yards per game.
24:33Pretty quiet those first couple of years.
24:35But this season, he's burst onto the scene in a big way.
24:38Averaging over 20 yards per game more than every other receiver in the league.
24:42And since the merger in non-strike seasons, only Calvin Johnson in 2012 averaged over 20 receiving yards per game more than anybody else for an entire season.
24:52And that's the pace that Jackson Smith and Jigba is on right now.
24:56Yeah.
24:56Coming into today, he was 238 yards ahead of George Pickens, number two.
25:00And a toss to DK.
25:04And DK up the sideline and out of bounds at the 30-yard line.
25:07And more on the talented wide receiver we check in with Allison.
25:10Yeah, the numbers are impressive, right?
25:12But Sam Darnold loves this guy because he doesn't care about any of them.
25:15He truly just cares about winning.
25:17He also loves the attitude, the energy he plays with.
25:21He said he has this childlike enthusiasm to him.
25:24Yes, he can even laugh at himself when he can't quite find the bench on the sideline there.
25:28He said he just brings an energy and a joy to this game at all times.
25:31He's one of those guys you just want to be around.
25:33That was almost another operational error, the operation of sitting down for Jackson Smith and Jigba.
25:42Ward off play action.
25:43Floats it over the head of Pollard.
25:45Oh, he had Pollard open.
25:47He had a blocker in front and room to run.
25:49And Cam Ward tapping his chest and that's on me.
25:51Yeah, that's the first time that we've seen that here this afternoon.
25:55It's one of the things you'll see on tape from time to time.
25:57It's usually downfield, right?
25:58He'll have somebody wide open in space and he'll overshoot him.
26:02And that was the first time they were on a check down.
26:04Just kind of giving that football out to Tony Pollard.
26:06Just too high over the top.
26:08Couldn't make a play on it.
26:09And he does.
26:09He's got Chico Conquo coming in behind him as a blocker.
26:12So some potential on that play there.
26:15Uchenna Nwosu back on the field for Seattle defensively.
26:19Pressure comes.
26:20Ward's in trouble.
26:21Williams has him in the sack.
26:23Sixth sack of the year for the vet, Leonard Williams.
26:29And he brings up fourth down.
26:34Yeah, I mean, you're just kind of working your way across that defensive front.
26:39You know, you've got everybody kind of blitzing into the middle and you're just going to slide.
26:42And, you know, it looks like Cam Ward, we've been telling him that opportunity to pull that football down and run.
26:46And you go to do that and all of a sudden here comes 99 to make the tackle.
26:52Leonard Williams, we had a great conversation with him about the importance of this year.
26:58And he said, I've been trying to reiterate that to the guys the last few weeks.
27:01I've been to the playoffs once in my previous 10 years in this league.
27:06Getting to the playoffs isn't easy.
27:08And it's fun to be playing meaningful football right now.
27:11A flag down on the return.
27:15And Leonard Williams really was poignant about this.
27:18And I've had a lot of years where I wasn't playing meaningful football right now.
27:20And it is tough.
27:22You could tell he feels for the guys on the Tennessee side.
27:24Yep.
27:24But he said, I keep telling my guys, this is special.
27:28This year is really a big deal.
27:30That's why.
27:30And the return holding number 19 of the receiving team.
27:34Ten-yard penalty for South Seattle.
27:37That's why they've got to figure out this turnover issue.
27:40The giveaways.
27:41Because you don't get an opportunity very often in your career with everything lined up
27:46the way it is right now for Seattle.
27:48So you've got to sort it out so they can experience that joy of meaningful games and what it feels
27:53like to be in the playoffs.
27:54On the cusp of history for the Seattle Seahawks, Jackson Smith and Jigba just two yards away
28:02from tying, three yards away from knocking DK Metcalf off the top of the list for the most
28:08yardage for a receiver in a single season in Seattle history.
28:13Darnold on first down, floats it over the head of A.J.
28:16Barner, and it's incomplete.
28:20Jackson Smith and Jigba has had himself a day today, Moose.
28:23Yeah, he may have some trouble feeling his space on the sideline on that bench, but no
28:28problem when he's out on the football field here this afternoon.
28:30Just excellent routes.
28:32His release is off the line of scrimmage and how they help him set up that space.
28:36And you are not going to cover him man-to-man with his safety.
28:42And they've caught him a couple of times here this afternoon with one-on-one against the
28:47safety, and he has made them pay with big plays down the field.
28:50Second down and 10 from the 22.
28:55Here's Smith and Jigba.
28:56There's the record.
28:58DK Metcalf move over.
29:00There's a new single season receiving yards leader in Seattle history.
29:06And it's Jackson, Smith, and Jigba.
29:08And again, just that ability to find the soft spot.
29:11It's just a little curl route right there, and it's very, very simple.
29:15And I tell you, he's a handful for everybody.
29:19Just look at that quick little turn.
29:21And when you can take that short little throw and get it to a third and two and keep your
29:26offense on the field, that's great stuff.
29:29Season high 163 yards today for Smith and Jigba.
29:33Third down and two for Seattle.
29:38Over the middle, trying to fit it in the cup, and it's broken up by Darryl Baker.
29:44Seattle had scored on their first five drives, but Tennessee comes up with a stop of the
29:50punt team coming off.
29:51Yeah, really nice job.
29:53Making a play on the football right here.
29:55A little bit of soft right there by Darryl Baker.
29:56And then the break on the football when he sees it gets a hand on it to make the deflection.
30:00Nice job by this Titans defense.
30:05Digging a little deep there.
30:06That was a big series.
30:08You let them come out and have that quick touchdown to start the second half here.
30:13First punt of the day for Michael Dixon.
30:18Dike.
30:21Backpedaling.
30:22Great punt by Dixon all the way to the 12.
30:25Dike trying to get to the outside.
30:27He does.
30:28He's got a wall of blockers.
30:29Dike.
30:30To midfield and beyond.
30:32All the way down the sidelines.
30:35Dike will take it to the house.
30:37Touchdown, Tennessee.
30:39A special team's play from 90 yards for six.
30:43His second this season.
30:53He had a 67-yarder against the Chargers.
30:57Now a 90-yarder to put a touchdown on the board for the Titans.
31:02Yeah, we've seen a couple of these where when you get too many people to one side of the field, right,
31:06it's a directional kick that way.
31:08And you get going the other way and just look at all the Seahawks players that are trapped on that side.
31:14And now watch.
31:15There's the Titans.
31:16They're all lined up.
31:17And it's kind of that picket fence, build-a-wall style return and well executed by the Tennessee Titans.
31:23Extra point is good.
31:28And it's 23-10.
31:31Special teams, a spark for the home team in Nashville.
31:38Chimare Dike from 90 yards takes it to the house.
31:42Cam Ward's fired up.
31:4423-10 Seattle in Nashville.
31:46Chimare Dike, his second punt return for a touchdown in the last three games.
31:54Did it against the Chargers.
31:55Did it here today.
31:57And it tied the Titans franchise record.
32:00Pac-Man Jones had a 90-yarder in 2006.
32:03So, a 23-10 Seattle lead now.
32:11And Seahawks special teams coach Jay Harbaugh, you know he's not going to be thrilled with a breakdown there.
32:21Rashid Shaheed trying to return the favor, but he's stuck at the 26-yard line.
32:27Let's go back to the return and see how it unfolded.
32:29Yeah, the great thing is he takes it north-south, and then he's going to make his break.
32:33So, we're going to freeze it right when he pulls everybody in.
32:35So, right there.
32:36So, now you've got all these guys from Seattle that are trapped on the inside.
32:41There's one guy that can make that play, and then there's a guy from, there's Julius Chestnut up there saying,
32:46I got you, just get over this side and we got you.
32:48So, there's one opportunity to make a play on that,
32:51and it was going to have to be done by Jamie Sherriff, number 50, was the one guy who didn't get kind of caught and pinned.
33:01And once DK got around that corner, they had a nice little wall set up.
33:05Here's Walker down the sideline.
33:08Nice run on first down for Kenneth Walker III.
33:11He picks up 19.
33:15I always thought of him as kind of that power runner.
33:18It was kind of funny getting ready for the game this week, and you see how, you know,
33:21really Zach Charbonnet is kind of that short yardage goal line runner,
33:25and Kenneth Walker's got, you know, the big explosive plays.
33:28And we've talked about the production passing, but when you can do that,
33:32and there's a little bit of that Cooper Cup effect, right?
33:35That's one of the things that Cooper's going to bring to that wide receiver position.
33:38It's just not about catching footballs.
33:40Back-to-back big games for Kenneth Walker.
33:44He was six carries for 18 yards, had 19 and now 11 in back-to-back carries.
33:51And Kenneth Walker gets another first down.
33:54And we talked about JSN the last time, but it's Cooper Cup here on this one.
33:59You'll see him coming into the screen right there.
34:01And every once in a while, you can catch a guy off balance
34:03and get yourself a nice little highlight block right there for Cooper Cup.
34:08But, yeah, you know, Kenneth Walker in this offense, they run the ball
34:13when you talk about run-pass ratio more than anybody in the NFL.
34:16But they're not getting, you know, great yards per carry, but they stay with it.
34:20They make you stop it in the second half.
34:24Play action.
34:25It's Walker out of the backfield.
34:27Lots of room.
34:28His fullback in front.
34:29Walker out of bounds at the 15-yard line.
34:3229 through the air to number 9.
34:39Well, you catch him on a blitz.
34:41You've got Cody Barton coming on the blitz, and you've got the perfect play call
34:45because you've got the wide receiver on that side clearing to the opposite side.
34:48There's not a Titan defender within 10 yards when Kenneth Walker makes that catch.
34:55But, Darrell, now it's the red zone for Seattle again.
34:59One for four last week.
35:01Touchdowns to the red zone.
35:02One for three this week.
35:06Is that progress?
35:07Does that count as progress?
35:08Not if they don't get one here.
35:12Play action.
35:13Darnold turned around, saw a defender in his face,
35:17and knew where Jackson Smith and Jigba was.
35:19Able to get positive yardage when he had James Lynch turning right into his face.
35:24He gets four.
35:25I tell you, that's a throw right there where you know your quarterback has confidence.
35:29And it's going to be play action pass.
35:33He's going to go from opposite hash to the outside on a line with some tight coverage.
35:39So, that shows you the arm talent that Sam Darnold has.
35:44And that's kind of that whole thing of make sure you have that balance because you do know and you do feel like you can make those throws into those tight areas.
35:51He just showed you a great throw right there.
35:53Second down and six.
35:56Charbonnet.
35:57Up the middle.
35:58Got low.
36:00And gets down to the five-yard line with a first down.
36:03First and goal coming up for Seattle.
36:05Six on the ground for Charbonnet.
36:07And that's what this team does in the red zone more often than not.
36:10They run the football.
36:1164% of the time in the red zone, Seattle is running.
36:14That's by far the most in the National Football League.
36:16Yeah, and I've always believed that if you're going to be a good red zone offense, you have to be able to run the football once you get down here.
36:23It's so much easier for the defense to defend the pass game because we've condensed the area so much.
36:29Good response brewing by Seattle here.
36:33First and goal at the five.
36:39Darnold back to Charbonnet.
36:41Bouncing to the edge.
36:42Charbonnet towards the goal line.
36:44Touchdown, Seattle.
36:47Five-yard scamper for Zach Charbonnet.
36:52His seventh rushing touchdown of the year.
36:55And the Seahawks with a big-time response to the punt return touchdowns.
37:00Keep an eye right here on Jalen Armour Davis.
37:03I mean, he's going to be the guy that's going to have to make the play, right?
37:05Everybody else gets eaten up.
37:06He steps up inside.
37:08And once he misses, they have nobody that set the edge.
37:11It continued to get transferred down the line.
37:14And Jalen Armour Davis was the last guy who had that responsibility.
37:18He came up into the gap, got out-leveraged for the touchdown.
37:20Extra point is good.
37:27And a six-play, 74-yard response that saw no third downs.
37:34Clint Kubiak said, why get to third down?
37:36They didn't get to third down, and they lead 30-10.
37:40And now these messages.
37:42When two mammals love each other, sometimes they do like a hug.
37:46Hey, Chris, you're out.
37:47Huntley, you're in.
37:48Tyler Huntley, back up here.
37:50If only there were backups in real life.
37:52But at least there's Progressive to protect your home and auto.
37:55Wow, I feel really prepared for life now.
37:57Hey, what's up?
37:58Shh.
37:58Hunting for holiday deals.
38:00We both have a lot of specific wish lists.
38:03Wish lists nailed.
38:04Best Buy has new doorbusters every Friday, all season.
38:06Every Friday?
38:07Shh.
38:08Get new doorbusters every Friday, all season long, at Best Buy.
38:11So Sam Darnold and this Seattle offense watched that punt return for a touchdown.
38:20Calmly strode back out on the field.
38:23Six plays, 74 yards, and a crisp 3-42 without a third down on the drive,
38:28and they're back in control 30-10.
38:29How about that?
38:30No third downs needed.
38:31The confidence that this team has, it was one of the things we talked about with Tennessee.
38:37If they can find that consistency and start to build that confidence,
38:40that's when things start to turn positively in your direction.
38:43Seattle has that.
38:45They don't blink when they have things go on,
38:47and that's because there's such great balance throughout this team,
38:50and we've talked about how good they are in all three phases.
38:53And today, with that turnover problem eliminated,
38:56you can see how challenging it is to play this team
38:59because it's tough to find a weak spot unless they're helping you with the turnover.
39:10Julius Chestnut, the return man from the goal line for Tennessee.
39:20Chestnut, a little stutter step across the 30 and down at the 32-yard line.
39:26A flag is down as well.
39:28Cody White on the tackle.
39:29Seven penalties against Seattle today.
39:40Five accepted against the Titans.
39:44Five accepted against the Titans.
39:44Five accepted against the Titans.
39:46Illegal formation, number 31 of the receiving team moved after the ball was declared ready for play.
40:15The five-yard penalty will be enforced from the end of the play.
40:18It's Tennessee's ball, first and ten.
40:21We've got a big NFC North showdown on tap for Thanksgiving game.
40:25Detroit is the Lions take on the Green Bay Packers.
40:2712-time Grammy winner Jack White.
40:30Big deal.
40:31Headline of Thanksgiving halftime show powered by Verizon.
40:34Kickoff 1 p.m. Eastern right here on Fox.
40:406.34 to go in the third.
40:42Jack White sings us back to a Tennessee offensive series.
40:47First down and ten after the five-yard penalty back up to the 27-yard line.
40:51Ward on first down to the air.
40:53Flag is down as Okonkwo is stopped at the 33-yard line.
41:00Six-yard pickup on the play.
41:02We'll see about the flag.
41:03Illegal formation.
41:11Offense number 55 lined up in the backfield.
41:14Fabio Pennington, repeat first time.
41:16J.C. Latham, who was flagged for four penalties last week.
41:22The second-year man out of Alabama.
41:24You were talking about him earlier, Moose, when we were getting ready for this game.
41:27You said you've been pretty impressed with his move from the left side to the right side.
41:30Yeah, it's not easy.
41:32He's dropped a little bit of weight.
41:33He's gone to the right side.
41:34He seems a little bit more comfortable there.
41:36Unfortunately, he had some injuries earlier on in the season.
41:39Missed six games with a hip injury he had in training camp.
41:42But you watch him on tape, and if he can just get a hold of this penalty issue,
41:48he can take a step in his second season.
41:51Ward chased by Williams.
41:52Finds Pollard.
41:53And then a big hit again from Drake Thomas.
41:55My goodness, we've seen O'Connell smacking people.
41:59We've seen Thomas lay in the wood.
42:02And we've got another flag on the play.
42:04Yeah, you see 42.
42:05Look, I mean, he's going all the way up, trying to pressure the passer.
42:09And then there's that turn and run.
42:11And I tell you, you hear that crack from Drake Thomas on so many tackles.
42:17While the quarterback was in the pocket, illegal contact.
42:20Defense, number 29.
42:22Five-year penalty from the previous spot.
42:24Automatic first down.
42:25Josh Joe.
