01:51As a young boy, what he did for me throughout my whole career,
01:56you know, getting the opportunity to play this game
01:58and be a part of this game,
01:59and a lot of that's because of everything he went through for me
02:02and everybody liked me.
02:04I look forward every year to getting a chance to wear his number on my back.
02:09Everybody in this game, especially at this level,
02:12knows the impact that he had.
02:15What Jackie did is something that we should always learn from.
02:18We should be educated on, and his perseverance and what he went through
02:23to put a major league uniform on is something that we should cherish.
02:27It just shows you what a special person Jackie was,
02:30not only on the field but off the field.
02:33Being able to all unify around the same thing to better our game
02:36is really, really important.
02:39Jackie Robinson Day is one of the most special days of the season for us.
02:43We have the best of the best competing.
02:45It's thanks to Jackie, and to be able to honor that is really special.
02:50You know, great baseball player, but also what he did for this sport is pretty amazing,
02:53so to be able to throw on 42 just makes it that much more special.
02:56So putting on the 42, everybody coming together across the league
03:00and wearing the same number, just kind of coming together as a league.
03:03My favorite Jackie Robinson quote is,
03:06a life isn't measured by what you do but the impact you have on others.
03:10I actually had that quote on my wall growing up.
03:12It's an honor to go out there and take the field and put that number on.
03:16The most impactful players in our game have followed him
03:19and obviously the player that he was on the field,
03:21but there's not really a player more influential than Jackie Robinson.

04:34Jansby Swanson is in the sixth spot, and he'll play shortstop.
04:38Miguel Amaya does the catching batting seventh.
04:41Cole Armstrong hits eighth, and Matt Shaw will bat ninth.

06:05The sweeper is one of the pitches that he added when he came to Philadelphia and started working under Caleb
06:12Cotham.
06:12So it's only been two years he's had this pitch.
06:16And there it was.
06:20Again, for Bregman, three for 27 against breaking balls.
06:27Basically sweeper, slider, curveball.
06:30Here comes a 1-2.
06:33And a swing and a miss, and he got him.
06:44Yeah, so that one up on the board is a sweeper as well.
06:48I mean, that didn't have a lot of side-to-side actions of depth to that one.

06:55But either way, that's a quality pitch.

17:35if you don't want to get into
17:36the weeds folks and I understand
17:37that but there's a statistic
17:39called lost a left on base
17:40percentage and league wide year
17:42in and year out for pitchers it's
17:44about 70 72 percent of the base
17:46runners you allow are left on base
17:48and if you are significantly lower
17:50than that a lot of times that's
17:52luck just sequencing that one
17:55slashed into right center field
17:57and a base hit for Dansby Swanson
17:59with two outs a man aboard first

18:03for Lozardo his left on base rate
18:05is forty six point five percent
18:08that is a fourth lowest in MLB

19:32the closer a couple of seasons ago
19:34Kirk Council talked about Porter
19:38Hodge from spring training to the
19:39end of the year was the Cubs most
19:41improved player in 2024 last year
19:45was a very uneven year and now
19:48health puts up a roadblock yeah if
19:51I didn't know better I would think
19:52that arm injuries are contagious
