00:00It's a case of rinse and repeat for the West Indies on their tour of New Zealand.
00:04After winning the opening match, the Caribbean men have struggled to play consistent cricket
00:09and the main issue once again for the skipper is their top order batting.
00:13Paul Blair has been our Achilles heel for this series. Unfortunately as batters we didn't
00:18assess and adapt it as quickly as we should have or wanted to I should say. But credit
00:23still must be given to the guys in the lower half. Putting their hands up,
00:27we may have given them a bit too much work to do in the back end as batters, but it's certainly
00:33an area that we need to improve quickly going into this ODI series as well. Take all the learnings
00:37that we could have gained from this series, whether it's the lengths that they bowl, the conditions
00:42that we've got to face. But the skipper didn't only focus on the negatives. I also think we need to
00:47focus on the positives. From a bowling standpoint, 40 was excellent in the poor play. The guys have
00:53been feeling pretty well. Areas that we can improve, yes, but you've still got to take the positive
00:59from it. While another positive has been the all-round performance of Romario Shepard.
01:04Yeah, Shepi, he's always been a hard worker, someone who's very detailed with his preparation.
01:09He does a lot of research and it's great to see that his success is coming more consistently.
01:14From his standpoint, I can tell you he's one who wants to do well every single game. He's always
01:20talking about the game, always talking about ways to improve. So it's great to see him coming out and
01:23being a lot more consistent. And he's been really good with the ball, coming and picking up some
01:28very crucial wickets and some crucial stages. Terence Clark keeps the support.
