00:00We have about a week until the wedding's booking.
00:03We're going to have to hustle.
00:07We were able to finish everything,
00:10get it ready for the bride and groom and their wedding party.
00:15It sort of ramps up our excitement to continue and finish the project.
00:19Q's at that age where he's finished school
00:21and he's got so many opportunities ahead of him.
00:24So what are your plans?
00:25Do some tour guiding and fishing charters.
00:28Want to go into business together?
00:29I would love to.
00:30So we've got the opportunity to buy another hotel
00:33and acquire another 600 acres.
00:36I don't think we ever were finished in Bahamas.
00:40I think we just took a moment and pressed pause.
00:43There is so much to do, it's almost unfathomable.
00:47Where is Willow?
01:01Willow!
01:02You want a treat?
01:03Okay.
01:06No!
01:07I love you.
01:08With so many projects on the go in three different countries,
01:11we haven't been home a lot lately.
01:13Here, eat the rest of this.
01:16Uh, Jojo, can you get me the blue cloth, please?
01:19Luckily, the kids are old enough to feed themselves.
01:22Hello.
01:22I don't trust either of you cooking.
01:26I know, you can barely make a smoothie.
01:29We tried.
01:31I'm gonna...
01:32Everybody's broken.
01:37You'll be okay.
01:38Just stir.
01:38Why are you, like, a dirty human?
01:47Now that the wedding is completed...
01:50We can breathe a sigh of relief.
01:55Everyone's, like, calm, cool, and collected today
01:57after last night's festivity.
01:59It went great.
02:00Bride and groom are happy.
02:01Parents happy.
02:03They had beautiful weather.
02:04That's in the rearview mirror, though.
02:06So then when I look back here,
02:08we have to look beyond the tent and the tables
02:11and the beautiful flowers and glasses of wine...
02:13Yeah.
02:14...and focus on the work.
02:16Which scares me to death.
02:18Yeah.
02:18People are gonna be checking into these rooms
02:20in the blink of an eye.
02:21Each one of these rooms,
02:23I do not see a clear path forward.
02:25Well, we have to make it happen.
02:27We're asking people to finish certain areas
02:30before we finish rough-ins and others,
02:32so it's all gonna cascade.
02:33We still don't have power.
02:35We're everywhere on property.
02:37So right now, we have two rooms ready.
02:40We're putting furniture in rooms
02:42with contractors still doing rough construction.
02:46We don't have an option.
02:48We need to finish it.
02:50I have no idea how we're gonna get it done.
02:52Yeah.
02:52This will be, like, a fast-moving hurricane.
02:56It's gonna seem very chaotic and very messy,
02:58and, like, it'll never end,
02:59and all of a sudden, the sun will come out,
03:01the ocean will be calm.
03:02Okay, we're comparing this to a hurricane.
03:04Either or.
03:05Either or.
03:05Somehow, we managed to pull it all together
03:07for the wedding,
03:08but in the big picture,
03:10that was only two rooms,
03:11and we still have 20 units to go.
03:14Yeah.
03:14The clock is ticking.
03:16But the sun will come out tomorrow.
03:17And the power will come on.
03:18We hope.
03:20Oh, gosh.
03:21Okay.
03:21Here we go.
03:22It's really interesting to understand
03:27the longevity of a hotel.
03:30Usually, every seven years,
03:31you're doing a full refurbishment
03:33just because of the wear and tear of a property.
03:36Hi.
03:36Hi.
03:37How are you?
03:37Good to see you again.
03:38So when you're looking at finishes
03:40that you're selecting,
03:41it really is important to make sure
03:43they are hospitality-grade.
03:45How does this one work?
03:46It can be a wall switch or a remote
03:49or voice command.
03:52This is really cool.
03:53I love that they can screen print
03:55on some of their drapery,
03:57on some of their shears and blinds.
03:59Thermal welding.
04:00I don't hear that every day,
04:01but I love it.
04:02This is something I'd like to incorporate somewhere.
04:04I just don't know where yet.
04:05First are the instructions.
04:07Always key,
04:08unless you're my husband,
04:09and you ignore.
04:11For today,
04:12I really just want to understand
04:13what all the options are.
04:15So these are all automated as well?
04:17Yes.
04:18It's really important
04:19that we look at the end user
04:21and how we can get to that final finish
04:24within our time frame.
04:25Somebody's going to have a beautiful drape.
04:27Yes.
04:27Helped by Sarah Bombler.
04:32The piers at Pines and Ponds
04:33are pretty beat up.
04:34I mean, they're subject to
04:36all the weather,
04:37the sun,
04:37the wind,
04:38the salt,
04:38the traffic.
04:39We're replacing the old deck boards
04:42on the pier
04:42with new PVC decking.
04:44It still looks like
04:46a wooden deck board,
04:47but it's not going to rot.
04:48It's the perfect product
04:50for these piers.
04:51That's looking good, Ed.
04:53Making some progress.
04:54We're all trying to.
04:55Look at that.
04:56You're almost there.
04:57It's nice to be down
04:58on the dock with Ed.
04:59We're doing a little bit of work
05:00getting some of the deck boards
05:01put down.
05:02We're just out here
05:03on the dock
05:03having a little fun.
05:04You know what's great
05:04about this stuff?
05:05It's going to outlast
05:06the structure of the pier.
05:08Great thing, too,
05:09this won't retain the heat
05:10like a solid composite will.
05:12A lot of the work
05:12is setting up these rails.
05:13Once you get everything clipped in,
05:15you know,
05:15if we damage anything,
05:16we just pop it out,
05:17put another piece in.
05:18You could have a heck
05:19of a business down here
05:19in the Keys
05:20trading out all these decks
05:21for wood.
05:21Yeah.
05:28It's always fun
05:29to see what's new.
05:31Visits like this,
05:32I look at what I can use now,
05:34what I might tuck away
05:35for future use.
05:36But it's just an opportunity
05:37to get out there
05:38and start being creative.
05:40They just have
05:40a wonderful selection
05:42in their showroom here,
05:43so it will give us
05:43some inspiration
05:44for how we're going to layer
05:45the finishes on property.
05:47This was what I wanted
05:47to come in and see in person
05:48that I saw on your website.
05:50Let's take a look at that.
05:51And let's do this one, too.
05:52One of my favorites.
05:53There's amazing patterns.
05:54There's beautiful colors.
05:56There's just such unique things
05:57that you can find.
05:59These are all stunning.
06:01Area rugs,
06:01I still have to do?
06:02Let's do it.
06:06We need indestructible.
06:07Indestructible.
06:08Think sandy feet.
06:09Indestructible.
06:10You can't buy
06:11traditional fabrics.
06:12They will disintegrate
06:13very quickly,
06:14putting in commercial machines.
06:16So there's sort of
06:17a different layer
06:17when you're looking
06:18at hospitality.
06:19It's not just
06:20a beautiful pattern.
06:21It's how it will stand up
06:22over time.
06:23I love it.
06:24Yeah.
06:24Okay, well,
06:25you're already a yes.
06:29It's been a busy few weeks.
06:31Construction crews
06:32are working around the clock.
06:33So at this point,
06:34we're going to step away
06:35for a few days,
06:36regroup with the kids,
06:37and get back
06:38to some of our other projects.
06:40No matter how many things
06:41we have going on
06:42or how much we're traveling,
06:43we do take the time
06:44to spend time
06:45with the kids
06:45away from work.
06:47Hi.
06:48Hello.
06:48There he is.
06:49How are you?
06:50Good.
06:50Hungry.
06:51Hungry?
06:52We went ahead
06:53and ordered you food.
06:54I hope that's okay.
06:55That's perfect.
06:56So what's your plan
06:57while you're here?
06:58Are you going to go
06:59on the water a little bit?
07:00Get a boat?
07:01A fishing?
07:01He just comes to visit us.
07:02He's having lunch.
07:03She's going back down
07:04to the boat.
07:04Oh, I came for the food.
07:06I was just saying to them,
07:08when we first came
07:09and used to run a boat,
07:10you searched for places
07:11that you could get to
07:12by a boat.
07:13But imagine this
07:14on the other side
07:15of Andros,
07:17where you could park
07:18your little boats
07:18and just have a little
07:19structure, like,
07:20on the water there.
07:21You could build something
07:22like this out on piers.
07:23That's exactly what I mean.
07:24Maybe incorporate it
07:25in part of the pier
07:26that goes out
07:26if we built, like,
07:27a restaurant.
07:28In Andros, like,
07:29think about all the bone
07:30fishermen that are out there,
07:31people just coming
07:32for the day,
07:33but they can pull up,
07:34park their boat,
07:34have a bite.
07:35That is a good idea
07:36for all the bonefish lodges.
07:37Yeah.
07:38Our kids have always
07:40kind of been involved
07:41in our business,
07:42so watching them
07:44taking interest
07:45in different parts
07:45is really exciting for me.
07:47We're not going
07:47to force them,
07:48but certainly
07:49if we're attempting
07:50to build a legacy,
07:52you know,
07:52in the Bahamas,
07:53that's up to them.
07:55What do you guys think
07:57about the projects
07:58in Bahamas?
07:59I think it's a cool idea,
08:01but, like,
08:01it's a lot.
08:02Yeah.
08:03Yeah.
08:03Did you hear it's going
08:04to take, like,
08:0510 to 20 years?
08:07That's a really long time.
08:08But,
08:09this is what I said.
08:10You work for, like,
08:1120 years,
08:12the rest of your time.
08:13Or wait,
08:13is it, like,
08:1450 years?
08:15So in 20 years,
08:16both of you will be
08:16how old is it now?
08:1820...
08:18I'll be, like,
08:1933.
08:21I'll be 31.
08:22I'll be 37.
08:23I'll be 70.
08:26And then you want
08:27to invest in
08:28that you want
08:28to pay your parents
08:29to work at?
08:30By investing,
08:31that doesn't mean
08:31our money.
08:33Yeah.
08:33Okay?
08:34Just, just...
08:35I want to be clear.
08:36You work your money,
08:38you invest.
08:39I mean,
08:39everything's relative,
08:40right?
08:41A guy swimming
08:42is jealous of the guy
08:44on a paddleboard.
08:44A guy on a paddleboard
08:45is jealous of the guy
08:46in a kayak.
08:47You just have to decide
08:48who you want
08:49to be jealous of.
08:51Not the guy
08:51on the kayak.
08:52Well, then you have
08:53to go out
08:53and work for it.
08:54They may not
08:55follow in our footsteps,
08:57but I hope
08:58we've at least
08:59shown them
08:59how you can rise
09:01to these new opportunities
09:03and hopefully
09:03they'll take that
09:04into their own lives
09:05in some little way.
09:07I feel like
09:08we all agree
09:09that we're gonna spend
09:10a little more time
09:11here again in the future.
09:12Let's all be here.
09:13I miss...
09:15I love you.
09:15I love all of them
09:16to be here.
09:17You're gonna kidnap the kids?
09:19Uh-huh.
09:19Well, we got one already.
09:21Well, I'm leaving
09:21after lunch, so...
09:23He just comes
09:23for the free food.
09:24He'll come back
09:25when he's hungry.
09:31Okay.
09:32Let's go, let's go.
09:34It's a big afternoon
09:35for the Bombler family.
09:37All right.
09:38All buckled in.
09:39We're all going go-karting,
09:41and Charlotte has invited
09:42her boyfriend, Nick,
09:43who is pretty much
09:45part of the family.
09:46Oh, boy, oh, boy, oh, boy.
09:48Oh, man.
09:50Go, human.
09:52All right, Charlotte.
09:54Go, go, go, go in.
09:55All right, go.
09:56Here we go.
09:58Days like today,
09:59I think,
10:00are our favorite days.
10:02I love how Nick's last.
10:04Oh, he's not gonna be
10:05last for long.
10:06He's gonna be last for long.
10:08These are the days
10:09when the phone stays
10:11in the car.
10:11There's no getting back
10:12to email.
10:13It's just a little
10:14friendly competition
10:15with the kids.
10:16Who's your money on?
10:18My money's on Joe.
10:20I bet I can pass
10:21Miss Daisy out there.
10:23You want to go?
10:23Yeah.
10:24Let's go.
10:24It's fun to watch
10:25your kids have fun,
10:27but it's more fun
10:28to try and wipe the track
10:30with your children.
10:31So we're gonna suit up,
10:33and we're gonna go out there
10:34and see what happens.
10:42You're very competitive
10:45when it comes to go-karting.
10:46Uh, I think everybody
10:48is competitive
10:49when it comes to go-karting.
10:51Our children,
10:52our family.
10:56All of us.
10:56And you and I.
10:57Mm-hmm.
10:59Here comes Mama Sloth
11:00down the straightaway.
11:01She's barely touching
11:02the accelerator.
11:03The gas pedal's
11:04on the right!
11:05On the right!
11:07Let's go, Joe!
11:07Get her!
11:08Get her!
11:09Charlotte's following her.
11:10She's going to get groceries.
11:11I think the reason
11:14we work...
11:14Look who it is!
11:16...are for those times
11:17that we don't need to work.
11:19You just couldn't
11:19keep up with us,
11:20could you?
11:21Oh, I-I-I finished
11:23three laps ago.
11:24Taking some time off,
11:26enjoying some time
11:27with the kids,
11:28you know,
11:28trying to, uh,
11:29T-bone them
11:30and run them off a track
11:31is-is rewarding.
11:34Really, really,
11:35really good try.
11:37Ha-ha-ha-ha!
11:41You know, it'll be good
11:56to catch some of those, uh,
11:58little black and white ones
12:12with the human teeth.
12:13Sheep's head?
12:13Sheep head, yeah.
12:15Having spent some time
12:16here in the Keys,
12:16it's-it's important
12:17when we're down here
12:18that we take a little bit
12:19of time away from work
12:20to get out there
12:21on the boat
12:22and go fishing.
12:23These things that make
12:24the Keys a special spot
12:25that will draw people
12:26down here,
12:26we have to make sure
12:27that we're in tune
12:28with those activities.
12:30So are we gonna have
12:30a little competition,
12:31like first fish,
12:32biggest fish?
12:33Brett's a great sounding board
12:34because, you know,
12:35we're both in the same business.
12:36I always throw, you know,
12:37ideas at him
12:38and he's-shakes his head
12:40a little bit.
12:41So we got two big
12:42opportunities coming up.
12:43There's, uh,
12:44another hotel on the island
12:45on the backside
12:45that's 10 units
12:47and 10 acres
12:48of development land
12:49we're looking at.
12:49So that's probably
12:50an $8 million spend.
12:52And then,
12:53somebody kind of
12:54knocked on our door
12:55and the 600-acre parcel
12:57of development land
12:57north and south of us
12:58and across the road
12:59is for sale.
13:00So they want $19.5 for that,
13:02but that's probably
13:02$150 or $200 million
13:03development.
13:05Did you bump your head?
13:06Run it by you?
13:07You-you know,
13:08we were just talking about
13:09you trying to think
13:10about time off
13:11and-and have a little bit
13:12of fun and chill out
13:13and-
13:13Trying to slow it down.
13:14This grand idea
13:15you're telling me about
13:16right now in-over in Andro's
13:18is definitely not
13:18going to do that.
13:19I-I think you're
13:20going to get busier.
13:21It sounds bigger
13:22when you hear it
13:23after you've said it.
13:25Didn't you learn enough
13:26on the first hotel fun
13:27with all the surprises
13:28and now you want
13:29to do it again times 10?
13:30We had a pretty epic
13:31few years with the kids
13:32on the island
13:33working on the hotel
13:34in the first place.
13:35Now that that's over
13:36and the-the kids
13:37are starting to flap
13:38their wings a little bit
13:38and we're traveling
13:40so much in different places.
13:41I-I do miss that.
13:42Can't say I completely
13:43agree with you
13:44going over there
13:45and doing what
13:45you're about to do
13:46but if that's what
13:47you really love to do
13:48I'd have to say
13:48I support it.
13:49We've really become
13:50part of the community
13:51on South Andros.
13:53We know a lot of people
13:54there.
13:55We've made a lot of friends
13:55and there's people
13:56that feel like family.
13:58This could really be
13:59a chance for us
14:00to create
14:00like a legacy over there.
14:01I mean,
14:02I-I picture building
14:03an entire community.
14:04We-we should just
14:05get back to fishing
14:05and enjoy our day
14:06because it doesn't
14:07sound like you're
14:07going to have
14:07a whole lot of time
14:08on your hands.
14:09Just-we'll just be
14:09fishing in a different spot.
14:11Yeah.
14:11I'm going to have
14:12to come visit you.
14:13Yeah, now you got
14:14me thinking.
14:14Yep.
14:21Are these all the boards?
14:22They are.
14:23Oh!
14:24We've got these
14:25brand new paddle boards
14:26for the property.
14:27These are gorgeous.
14:28I always like a little bit
14:29of the Maple Leaf
14:30and they have made
14:31a very long trip
14:32all the way
14:32from Canada.
14:33Here, right,
14:34we talked about
14:34the new logo.
14:36Across here,
14:36finds bombs.
14:37Perfect.
14:38We need to have
14:39these amenities
14:40for guests.
14:41Kayaks, paddle boards,
14:42the boat,
14:43the fishing,
14:43the excursions.
14:45All of that is
14:45what truly makes
14:46somebody's vacation
14:47and experience
14:47here on property.
14:49All right.
14:49Got that one?
14:50Yep.
14:51I'm good for now.
14:56All right,
14:56can we do a little
14:58shooting action
14:58over here?
14:59Yep.
15:00It's always great
15:01to take a little time off
15:02and just, you know,
15:03kind of sit by the ocean
15:03and relax alone,
15:05just the two of us,
15:06with the photographers
15:07and entire film crew.
15:10As the kids would say,
15:11slay.
15:12Slay?
15:13That's what the kids...
15:13Is that what
15:15our kids would say?
15:16Do you know
15:16what you're wearing?
15:17I don't know.
15:18You brought blue,
15:19gray, and then...
15:20Which one are you
15:20starting in
15:21so that I can coordinate?
15:23Whichever one
15:24you tell me
15:25to wear first.
15:26Perfect.
15:28I don't know
15:28what to do
15:29with my hands.
15:30You just love
15:31these days.
15:32Walking is so awkward.
15:34You're probably
15:35going to do this
15:35a couple times.
15:36It's walkward.
15:38Just so that...
15:38Work it,
15:39work it,
15:39Vogue.
15:40Hold right there.
15:41I'm going to get
15:42a little tighter.
15:42I can only suck it
15:44in and flex
15:45for so long.
15:46The pomp and
15:47circumstance.
15:48Yeah, that's my
15:49favorite.
15:51That's what I was
15:52born for, really.
15:53Maybe radio.
15:54I mean,
15:55you get the face
15:56for it.
15:56Face for radio.
15:57I fell in love
15:58with your face.
15:59It's good.
16:06Sarah?
16:07Yeah, I'm in the kitchen.
16:09What's up?
16:10What's with all these
16:10boxes at the front door?
16:12I think most of them
16:13are going to the island.
16:14And there's some paint
16:15there, too,
16:15for the angler
16:16for Q's boat.
16:17Q was supposed
16:17to take that
16:18the last time
16:18he went over
16:19on the other boat.
16:20Speaking of boats,
16:21you know that sailboat
16:22that I was looking at?
16:24The one that your eyes
16:25were all glazed over?
16:27You were like,
16:27ooh.
16:28That one?
16:29She's a pretty boat.
16:30Well, JP and I bought it.
16:32So it's our sailboat now.
16:34I've been looking
16:35at this sailboat
16:35for over a year now.
16:38So when it became
16:39available for sale,
16:41literally,
16:42I jumped on it.
16:43If you're putting this
16:44as part of the guest amenities,
16:46you're adding this
16:47to an excursion
16:48and a guest is coming
16:48and staying at our hotel
16:50and expecting to spend
16:51a night or two
16:52on the boat,
16:53would they not be like,
16:54oh, if this is an offering,
16:55I'm sure the linens
16:57are beautiful,
16:57I'm sure there's
16:58a full team,
16:58I'm sure they're going
16:59to put this up
16:59and dinner.
16:59People that are going
17:00to charter the sailboat
17:01overnight or for a long
17:02period are sailors
17:03and they know
17:04what to expect.
17:05Okay.
17:06Go, have fun.
17:07You can swap the decks.
17:09You can just lay up
17:10on the front,
17:11like at one of those
17:11mermaids on the front
17:12of the sailboat,
17:13on the ship.
17:14Leave before I scream
17:15at you.
17:16Okay.
17:17That's probably
17:17a good plan.
17:18Anyway.
17:20Congratulations.
17:21Ahoy, matey.
17:22Ahoy, matey.
17:22What am I supposed to?
17:23There you go.
17:24Ahoy, matey.
17:28What's going on, buddy?
17:30Hey, man.
17:31You ready to do this?
17:32Oh, yeah.
17:33JP's a friend of mine,
17:34also a carpenter,
17:35an avid sailor,
17:36and when I talked
17:36to him about this boat,
17:37about maybe partnering
17:38on it to get it together,
17:39go on a sailing trip,
17:40get it down into the Bahamas,
17:42get it working,
17:43he was on board.
17:44So now we just have
17:44the adventure
17:45of getting it over there
17:46and staying alive, really.
17:49Can you believe
17:49this is about to happen, JP?
17:50No, I can't.
17:52There's a lot
17:52on the go right now.
17:54Was it really necessary
17:55for you to be on that trip,
17:58or is that something
17:58professional sailors
18:00could have managed?
18:00I am a professional sailor.
18:03I think it was a safety thing.
18:05I had to be on the boat.
18:07Sure.
18:09It's happening!
18:11We are off to the races
18:13at six knots.
18:17Today we want
18:18to get some sails up.
18:19We're heading for Key West
18:20today and part of tomorrow.
18:24We've got full sail up.
18:25We've shut the engine down.
18:27It's absolutely ideal.
18:29Perfect wind conditions,
18:30perfect weather,
18:31and I think we're all
18:33very excited for the trip.
18:37What could possibly go wrong?
18:44Brian is currently off
18:45on his boating adventure,
18:47so I have an opportunity today
18:49to actually pop into
18:50a local gallery.
18:52Pasta, the artist,
18:53is, well, he's a legend here,
18:55and we would love
18:56to incorporate
18:57some of his artwork
18:58in the hotel rooms.
18:59It will give that
19:00punch of color,
19:01that additional personality,
19:03and bringing home
19:04a little piece of
19:05Isla Mirada
19:05to the property is key.
19:08Good morning!
19:09Hey, how are you?
19:10I caught you
19:11in working mode.
19:12This is beautiful.
19:14I don't think I've ever
19:15been in your gallery before.
19:16No, it's been a little
19:17staple down here,
19:18but we haven't had
19:19this experience yet.
19:20How long have you
19:20been here in the Keys?
19:2120 years in the Keys,
19:22and then 20 years
19:24in the gallery business.
19:25So this one,
19:26my eye is drawn to it
19:27right away.
19:28This is a tarpon,
19:29kind of like a sunset deal
19:30on the last go-around
19:31trying to catch him
19:32for the day.
19:33And every child to me
19:34that comes to Isla Mirada,
19:35Lincoln and Josephine
19:37in particular,
19:37my littlest two,
19:38it's all about the tarpon.
19:39150-pound tarpon
19:40right at the dockside.
19:41You just can't beat
19:42that kind of feel, right?
19:42You can't beat that.
19:43Nope.
19:43So this is a definite.
19:44And then can we walk
19:46through the rest
19:46of your gallery?
19:47Absolutely.
19:47Let's do it.
19:48Now this,
19:50my kids spent many a morning
19:52fishing in the mangroves.
19:53That's right.
19:54That's right.
19:54This to me is indicative
19:55of the Keys.
19:57It's a limited edition.
19:58It's called the Keys to Life.
19:59Now this piece
20:00is beautiful too.
20:02Yeah, this one's called
20:02The Two of Us.
20:03It's kind of an antique
20:04poster look.
20:05I did the muted colors
20:05on this one.
20:06We have a color palette
20:07in some of the units,
20:08these palmetto leaves,
20:09and they're this beautiful green,
20:11but I think combining them
20:12and putting this
20:13in the dining area
20:14would be spectacular.
20:16There is a lot for me
20:17to take in,
20:18so is it okay
20:19if I let you get back
20:19to work and I'm just
20:20going to wander?
20:21Shop away.
20:22All right.
20:23It's great to be able
20:23to work with local artists.
20:25They know the area.
20:27They know the community.
20:28They really bring the spirit
20:30and the energy
20:31into the hotel.
20:33Another big one coming.
20:35Hold on.
20:36The wind continued
20:37throughout the day
20:38to build,
20:39and at this point,
20:40we've got 12 to 15-foot
20:42rollers coming in.
20:43The sun is going down.
20:44It's absolutely howling.
20:46We're getting gusts
20:46in the mid-30s.
20:50What's difficult mentally
20:52is that we know
20:53we've got 12 hours
20:56of this in the dark
20:57when you can't see
20:58those monster waves coming.
20:59So we're getting wet.
21:00Things are getting thrown around.
21:02This shakedown cruise
21:03has turned into
21:04a shake-it-up-and-hold-on-sail.
21:07The seas were angry
21:09that night, my friends.
21:12The next day,
21:13the wind picked up
21:14significantly,
21:15and at this point,
21:16we were 70-plus miles offshore.
21:19Oh, this is very...
21:20And then a 35-knot
21:24continuous wind
21:25arrived
21:26in 15-foot-plus seas.
21:29That was a big one.
21:32We got slapped around
21:33a little bit.
21:33We're in it now.
21:39We had a great
21:40first day sailing,
21:41but the second day,
21:42we were taught
21:43a bit of a lesson
21:44by the ocean.
21:45It doesn't look like
21:46I'll be making it
21:46to the Bahamas
21:47in the boat today,
21:48but I still have to get there.
21:49Looking at this large
22:03parcel of land
22:04around the hotel,
22:05there's a few reasons
22:06that there aren't foundations
22:08going into the ground already.
22:10Obviously, we've got,
22:11you know,
22:11the other hotel,
22:12Pines and Palms,
22:13on the go.
22:13We've got projects
22:14in Canada happening.
22:15But if we want
22:16to make this happen,
22:17we really have to focus on it
22:18and start going through things
22:19point by point
22:20and cleaning them up.
22:22There is so much land
22:23available on this island.
22:25It scares me
22:26because when you have
22:26this much land,
22:28it can be developed
22:30in a way that makes sense
22:31for the island
22:32and for the community
22:33and how they can thrive
22:34and survive,
22:36or it can be developed
22:37in the completely wrong way.
22:41Yeah.
22:41We don't want to create
22:42another metropolitan development
22:44of concrete and glass.
22:46That's the farthest thing
22:47from what I would ever want
22:48out here.
22:49We really want this
22:50to be a benefit
22:51to the community
22:52and want everybody
22:52to be on board.
22:54Yeah, I think we want
22:55to respect the process.
22:56This area, to me,
22:57is where we could have
22:59sort of like a market center,
23:00a hub, artisan shops.
23:03There's so many options
23:04for expansion here.
23:06We could do residential lots
23:07on the beachfront.
23:09We could do new back-of-house,
23:11farming, stores,
23:13that kind of thing.
23:14Apiary.
23:15Apiary, yeah.
23:15We've got to get
23:16some honey going.
23:17This is next level
23:18from renovating
23:20an existing hotel.
23:21I mean, it's a massive project.
23:24I really want to look
23:25at what we can offer
23:26that puts us on the map
23:27for protecting this land
23:30and not just being sustainable,
23:31but actually like giving back
23:33to this island
23:33through our farming.
23:35Well, I think this
23:35is a perfect example.
23:36We're not going to come in
23:37and clear-cut this
23:38and just, you know,
23:39build modern, boxy homes.
23:41I think we take
23:42that villa concept,
23:43smaller, better design.
23:45So you're saying
23:46like nestle,
23:47like way in here.
23:48Yes, nestling.
23:49Just nestle a villa
23:51over here,
23:52nestle one over there.
23:53So your view
23:54would essentially
23:55be the ocean.
23:57It's easy to stand
23:58in the bushes
23:59and think,
24:00oh, well,
24:00I have a tennis court's here
24:01and a this there.
24:02You know,
24:02you have to plan
24:03these things out
24:04with people
24:04that know what they're doing.
24:05You can't just start
24:06randomly plopping
24:08things into place.
24:09Phase one
24:10is an acquisition
24:12of the other property,
24:13the sunset.
24:15Cerule Lamar
24:15is a great spot
24:16to wake up
24:16and watch the sunrise
24:17over the tongue
24:18of the ocean.
24:19But there are times,
24:20you know,
24:20when you want to see
24:21the sunset.
24:22So on the backside
24:22of the island,
24:23there's another little
24:24resort and property
24:25called Tiamma.
24:26It'd be great
24:27to add that
24:27and we'd have
24:28this kind of
24:29perfect trifecta.
24:30Development land,
24:31a resort on the backside
24:32of the island
24:33where you have your coffee
24:34in the morning
24:34at Cerule Lamar,
24:35you go back,
24:35watch the sunset,
24:36at Tiamma.
24:37Phase two,
24:38more land acquisition,
24:39residential lots,
24:41start to put
24:42in some farming.
24:43You can kind
24:44of have that vision.
24:45It's hard to
24:46see the nuts
24:47and bolts quite yet.
24:48Well, by phase five,
24:49I'm on the horizon
24:51in a boat.
24:53Phase five?
24:54Waving goodbye.
24:55Phase five
24:55is probably
24:56like 10 years
24:57from now.
24:57Looking at,
24:58you know,
24:59the potential
24:59of owning
25:00600 acres
25:01of raw land,
25:02there's so much
25:03that we could do
25:04with that.
25:04It's daunting,
25:07but it's exciting.
25:10Yeah,
25:11it's a good spot.
25:12Well,
25:12that doesn't grow old.
25:13It's a good spot
25:14for front porch.
25:16I'll sit here
25:16and rock my way
25:18into eternity.
25:20That was phase five,
25:22sweetheart.
25:22We still have phase one
25:23through four.
25:24Yeah,
25:24we got some work to do.
25:25Oh,
25:26there's your boy.
25:35Our boy.
25:37Oh,
25:37Captain Stevie
25:38and his sidekick Q.
25:39Yeah,
25:40buddy.
25:41Today is a mock
25:43charter experience
25:45with Steve
25:46and Quinton.
25:47Really,
25:47the goal for today,
25:49these two would like
25:50to do some fishing charters,
25:51but they need practice.
25:52So here I am.
25:54I'm the mock guest
25:55to see how they do.
25:57You ready to catch
25:58some fish?
25:59I am ready.
25:59You know,
26:00Mommy,
26:00I like to fish.
26:01Sound good.
26:02But I'm not here
26:03just to have fun fishing.
26:04I'm here to make sure
26:06everything goes well.
26:07Everything goes well.
26:08All right.
26:09I've been fishing forever.
26:10Absolutely love it.
26:11Been fishing since
26:12before I can remember.
26:14I honestly think
26:15I was fishing
26:15when I was one or two
26:17with my dad,
26:17with my mom,
26:18family,
26:18siblings,
26:19the local guys here.
26:20It's my favorite hobby.
26:22Are you guys prepared?
26:23Do you have towels
26:24for the guests?
26:25Towels,
26:26water.
26:26I would like a towel now.
26:28We will have towels.
26:29Usually,
26:30there is always
26:30a mom and dad
26:31trailing behind
26:32with water
26:33and snacks
26:34and towels
26:35and sunscreen
26:35and hats
26:36and sunglasses.
26:37I thought you might forget,
26:38so I brought my own.
26:39First step in a guest experience.
26:41Nothing has changed,
26:43even though he's 20.
26:44Now, you said just...
26:45Flip your bill
26:45and let it go down.
26:46Let her go.
26:47Yeah.
26:47You'll feel a little
26:48tap, tap, tap, tap,
26:49and then these are circle hooks.
26:51You don't have to set the hook.
26:52I don't have to set the hook?
26:53You can just reel into it.
26:54It'll set itself.
26:55Oh!
26:57There you go.
26:57You got one.
26:58Yeah, you got one.
26:59Okay.
26:59Keep an eye down, too,
27:01when you see him.
27:02You need a hug?
27:02Oh, yeah!
27:04It's a barracuda.
27:06Oh, my goodness!
27:08Oh!
27:09Let me grab the gaff.
27:10Get a gaff, Q.
27:13We're pretty fish.
27:14Ready to go!
27:15Pretty colors.
27:17That's a great first fish.
27:18It didn't take my mom
27:19very long to catch a fish,
27:20which is exactly
27:21what I wanted to see.
27:22Hold my finger
27:23when I feel tap, tap.
27:25Just reel it.
27:26Just reel it.
27:28Oh!
27:28Oh, way to go!
27:30She's on it!
27:30That's a fish!
27:31That's a big fish.
27:32Yeah, that's a big one again.
27:34Q, you getting whooped!
27:36I'm not even...
27:37I don't even have a mate of water!
27:40Put it under your right shoulder.
27:42Under...
27:42Right under here.
27:43Under your armpit.
27:44There you go.
27:45Under my arm!
27:46Pull up, reel down.
27:47Pull up.
27:47Pull up.
27:48Reel down.
27:48Reel down.
27:49There you go.
27:50Professional.
27:51Professional!
27:52I'm gonna have my own fishing shop!
27:55Oh, this one's pretty!
27:57Catching all types of fish out here today.
27:59I love it!
28:00Now, just for the record,
28:022-0.
28:03Q, you're doing your job, buddy.
28:04I am.
28:05As long as the guests are catching fish.
28:07So I guess Mom
28:08win the championship today.
28:10If you'd like,
28:10I can teach you.
28:11Ah, funny.
28:12Give you some lessons.
28:14As a first mate,
28:15my job's to make sure
28:16that our guests are happy,
28:18well-fed,
28:18and catching a lot of fish.
28:20I think the experience
28:21went great today.
28:21I think my mom had a lot of fun,
28:23caught some fish,
28:24the weather was beautiful.
28:25I'm hoping she'll leave us
28:26a good review.
28:27You two,
28:27you have my approval.
28:29We're gonna clean up
28:30and grab some of the snacks
28:33that you brought.
28:34And the water.
28:35Ah!
28:36Good thing your mom
28:39comes prepared.
28:45You ready?
28:46You good, Keith?
28:47We're ready.
28:48All right.
28:49It's been a minute
28:49since we were at the blue hole
28:51here doing some work
28:52on the deck.
28:55Oh!
28:56Ha!
28:59Let me see how we put this
29:01together real quick.
29:03And I'll watch you do it.
29:05Jumping off the deck,
29:06into the blue hole
29:07with your dive gear on
29:08is the easy part.
29:09Once you've done the dive
29:10and you've got to get
29:11back up to the deck,
29:13it's quite a haul up
29:14a very steep ladder.
29:15And we definitely have
29:15some divers that just
29:16aren't physically capable
29:17of carrying all that gear up.
29:19Now we're gonna make life
29:20easier for ourself.
29:22Okay.
29:22We can get this thing
29:25hanging over here.
29:26Right.
29:26With some pulleys.
29:28Wheel the stuff down.
29:29Down, up.
29:30I mean, it's easy to get down.
29:31You just put it on,
29:32you go.
29:32It's gonna give a lot more
29:33people access to diving
29:34in the blue hole.
29:35So first,
29:36if you guys can hold
29:37that up.
29:38Yeah.
29:39Flip that over.
29:40Okay, out a little farther.
29:41I see it.
29:43Out there.
29:43Lift it up.
29:45Let it sit in here.
29:46Boom.
29:47Okay, so if you hold
29:47it right there.
29:48Right.
29:49I'll be totally honest,
29:50I made this up in my head
29:51last night,
29:52laying in bed.
29:54Yeah?
29:55It's gonna get it to work.
29:55I think it's gonna work.
29:57I don't think there's
29:57any way I'm reaching
29:58the end.
29:58You're gonna reach it.
29:59We're gonna help you.
30:01No, don't.
30:02Don't.
30:03He doesn't want me
30:03to help him.
30:04Okay?
30:05How is that gonna work?
30:06We don't need my dad.
30:07Who needs my dad?
30:09Play the clip.
30:10I think you learned
30:11this from watching us,
30:12me and your dad, right?
30:13No, no, definitely
30:14not you two.
30:15I learned some bad habits.
30:17Grab some dive gear, Q.
30:19Let's try this out.
30:20Okay, you ready?
30:23Let her down nice and easy.
30:25I got it.
30:28Yeah, down a little more.
30:30Keep going.
30:32Splash down.
30:33You know what we
30:33haven't tried yet, though?
30:34What's that?
30:35The recovery.
30:36Here, let's try this.
30:42Q, please recover
30:43the dive gear.
30:45Boom.
30:46Oh, that was too easy.
30:47That works.
30:48All right, let's go
30:49for a dive.
30:49Yeah.
30:50Did you want
30:50to carry this down
30:51or did you want
30:52me to lower it down
30:52for you?
30:53So, look,
30:53I'll do all of Lauren.
30:54You guys just get ready.
30:56I want to get down there.
30:57I want to see you
30:58jump in, though.
30:59Lawrence looks ready.
31:01He's one of those guys
31:02if he makes a promise,
31:03he follows through.
31:04We get this deck rebuilt.
31:05We just jump.
31:07I try as long
31:08as we ain't doing it naked.
31:09All right.
31:11I'm feeling pretty confident
31:12that I'm going to see
31:13Lawrence get in
31:14the blue hole today.
31:15You want to go first?
31:16No.
31:17We can do it together
31:18however you want to do it.
31:20Just show me
31:21how you position myself.
31:22Well, I'm just going
31:23to go under here
31:23and jump in.
31:25Okay.
31:26All right.
31:26You going to come?
31:27Yeah, sure.
31:27You want to go first?
31:28No, no.
31:29I'm just going to,
31:29first I got to get
31:30set up here.
31:32Whoa!
31:34I'll be there!
31:35Is this your first time
31:40in here?
31:40Yeah.
31:41No.
31:41Yeah.
31:42I'm not surprised
31:43I got pushed
31:44into the blue hole.
31:45I was expecting that.
31:47What I wasn't expecting
31:48was for Lawrence
31:48to just jump right in
31:50beside me.
31:51It was awesome.
31:53First time in my life,
31:54buddy.
31:55First time in my life.
31:57I'm fairly confident
31:58nothing's going to eat him.
31:59And we're good to go.
32:01Lawrence, we're going down.
32:03Yeah!
32:03I'll fight!
32:08Here on Andross
32:09or anywhere in the Bahamas,
32:10you know,
32:10we have the most amount
32:12of blue holes
32:12anywhere in the world.
32:14And it's absolutely beautiful.
32:16You get down to this
32:17absolutely crystal clear water
32:18and you feel like
32:19you're in space
32:20inside a cave.
32:21It's pretty mystical
32:22down there.
32:22And I think for people
32:23to have the opportunity
32:24to come down
32:24and scuba dive in them
32:26and for me to have
32:27the opportunity
32:27to scuba dive
32:28with my son here
32:29is just,
32:30it's amazing.
32:30All right.
32:44It's training day.
32:45Training day?
32:46Yeah, I need you
32:47to learn all this stuff
32:47so you can replace me.
32:49I don't want to replace you.
32:50Why don't you want
32:51to replace me?
32:52Because I don't have to deal
32:52with all your problems.
32:54But you're one of them.
32:55Oh.
32:58We don't have great Wi-Fi
32:59all over the property
33:00at the hotel
33:01so the big benefit
33:02of the Vosker cameras
33:03is there's a SIM card
33:04so it's got 4G LTE connectivity.
33:07So even where we don't
33:08have Wi-Fi coverage
33:09we still have coverage
33:10with the camera.
33:11We want to mount one
33:13here looking into back
33:14of house
33:15because we want to know
33:15if anyone's coming in
33:16from back of house
33:17at night.
33:18Okay.
33:18So this guy here
33:20is going to screw
33:22into the tree.
33:23Yep.
33:23This is going to screw
33:24into the back there
33:25and then we can position it
33:26with the ball
33:27where we want.
33:28We're going to scan
33:29the QR code.
33:31Close it up.
33:32Mount it up.
33:33It works.
33:35Get up there.
33:37Now that Quentin
33:37is 20
33:38and he's actually here
33:39doing a little bit
33:40of work at the hotel
33:41it's kind of nice
33:42working with him
33:42and I mean really
33:43as a parent
33:44you're training
33:45somebody to replace you.
33:47It's an odd sensation
33:49but it's actually
33:49kind of nice.
33:50This isn't a bad ladder
33:51to choose.
33:52Yeah it's a little
33:53shakier.
33:55You can literally
33:57train a monkey
33:58to install these.
33:59Look.
34:01Okay there you go.
34:02I didn't think
34:03you're going to get
34:03any easier to install
34:04these but for me
34:06it's pretty easy.
34:08How does that angle look?
34:09I think you're good.
34:10That's it?
34:11That's it buddy.
34:12We have a few more
34:13to install around
34:14the property.
34:14Quentin has the hang of it.
34:15I'm going to let him
34:16take the cameras
34:16the ladder
34:17find a couple
34:18other places
34:18that we need them
34:19and he can finish up.
34:21Success!
34:27Alright so I did
34:28the pre-flight
34:28and everything.
34:29You ready to go to Turks?
34:30I am.
34:30First time ever.
34:31Here you jump in.
34:33We're looking good to go.
34:35We're very lucky
34:36to have friends
34:37and associates
34:38that have a wealth
34:39of experience
34:39in the Caribbean
34:40when it comes to
34:41development and hospitality.
34:43And I think
34:44looking forward
34:44and looking to build
34:46our business
34:46we're fairly green
34:47in that area
34:48so it makes sense
34:49for us to visit
34:51these people
34:51see their operations
34:52you know
34:53take what advice
34:54we can from them.
34:55I think this trip
34:55will be a little bit
34:56different for both of us
34:57because we don't usually
34:58do the all-inclusive
35:00larger hotel.
35:02We're on our way
35:03down to meet
35:03with Adam Stewart
35:04who's CEO
35:05of Sandals Group
35:06and Beaches
35:07very different
35:08from where we are.
35:11Adam's got a wealth
35:11of knowledge
35:12and has graciously
35:13offered to meet us
35:14in Turks
35:14and let us
35:15pick his brain.
35:19It's a lot bigger
35:20than I thought.
35:21It's a big operation.
35:23We've passed more rooms
35:24than we have
35:25on our entire island
35:26so far.
35:26Well we knew that.
35:28Adam's definitely
35:28going to need
35:28to show strikes.
35:29We're going to get lost.
35:31This was the original
35:32property here.
35:33This started
35:33as 150 rooms
35:34and then we added
35:35two wings in the back.
35:36This was $19.95.
35:37For a larger development
35:40do you do
35:41master planning,
35:42urban planning
35:43of the whole
35:44property?
35:45We'll buy real estate
35:46and put it aside
35:47for years,
35:4810 years.
35:48We bought this real estate
35:49that we're developing
35:50now in 2006.
35:51This looks spectacular.
35:54Beaches,
35:54Stark, St. Caicos
35:55is 1,100 rooms.
35:57We're about to build
35:57101 more.
35:58How do you know
35:59it's time?
35:59You just know.
36:00You just know.
36:01You just know.
36:02It's like love, you know?
36:03You know, you know.
36:04It's, um,
36:05yeah, you know,
36:05you feel the demand
36:06of the customers.
36:06You see things evolve
36:07talking to our team members,
36:09talking to our guests.
36:10The feedback
36:10they voluntarily put forth
36:12is so much
36:14of what drives
36:14what's coming next.
36:15You know,
36:15knowing your lane
36:16and who you are,
36:17who your customer is,
36:18is sort of vital.
36:19So there's a customer
36:20that will not come
36:21to my resort,
36:22but they will go
36:23to your resort.
36:24They're looking
36:24for something small
36:25and more intimate.
36:26It's funny
36:26because there's
36:26hundreds of thousands
36:27of customers
36:28that won't come
36:29to our resort
36:29that do come to your resort.
36:30Yes.
36:31Yes.
36:31Every year.
36:32It's finding your lane
36:33and as simple
36:34as that sounds.
36:35Yeah.
36:35That really is the art.
36:37How to grow and scale,
36:38that's part,
36:39in all honesty,
36:39that scares me.
36:40We built it
36:41one brick at a time.
36:42Yeah.
36:43You know,
36:43one layer at a time.
36:44So you just kind of,
36:45you guys are at that
36:45same place
36:46that I remember
36:46our family being.
36:47You just keep
36:48stacking.
36:49Keep layering.
36:49Keep stacking,
36:50stacking.
36:50You look back
36:51after five,
36:52seven,
36:52ten years
36:52and you're like,
36:53you know,
36:53remember what we did.
36:55It's worth it.
36:56It's worth it.
36:56I think that was a good trip.
37:05It was a whirlwind,
37:06that's for sure.
37:07I got a lot out of it though.
37:09The way they're always adding
37:10a new amenity every year
37:11to keep things fresh
37:12for people that are coming back.
37:13Multi-families and their kids
37:15are booking single units
37:17and they've got the service there,
37:18they've got their independent pool,
37:20the playgrounds for the kids,
37:21they've got the multiple boats,
37:22the whole thing.
37:23I think that's what we have to add.
37:25He was also very clear
37:26they honed in on exactly
37:28who their clientele is
37:30and what they offer
37:31their clientele.
37:33What I did appreciate
37:34hearing from Adam
37:34is that we do have
37:36the fundamentals in place.
37:38We are headed
37:38in the right direction.
37:40It's a big step
37:41but it's just a matter of,
37:43you know,
37:43keep moving it forward
37:44and scaling things.
37:46This is a much larger scaling
37:48than we've ever looked at before
37:50in any business.
37:51Yeah, the numbers
37:52are a little bigger.
37:52There's more zeros for sure.
37:54But I also don't want
37:56to spend too much time
37:57just contemplating.
37:59There's a lot of work to do.
38:01We just have to start.
38:02Like, hurry up and start.
38:04We built it,
38:04the people came,
38:05now we need to build more
38:07the more people will come.
38:09It's just that easy.
38:10Just that easy.
38:11You ready to fly?
38:21Yeah, are you excited
38:22for today?
38:23Yep.
38:23Okay, ma'am,
38:24in the airplane, please.
38:25Thank you, sir.
38:26All right.
38:30We're on our way over
38:31to Great Exuma
38:32to meet with Sean.
38:33He's a developer up in Canada,
38:35developed a project
38:35here in Exuma.
38:37He's doing more
38:38of a residential development.
38:40Larger properties,
38:42multi-family units,
38:43but a bit smaller scale
38:46than some of the other
38:46hotel projects we're looking at.
38:48So it's something for us
38:49maybe a little bit more
38:50attainable with respect
38:51to how we can sort of
38:53wrap our heads around
38:54developing 600 acres.
38:56We've had guests
38:57that are down
38:58like 15, 18, 20 times now.
39:00Which is amazing.
39:01They've started asking,
39:02like, you know,
39:03what are the investment
39:03opportunities?
39:04Business model-wise,
39:06you've got 29 lots.
39:0829 in total, yeah.
39:09You've got nine under construction,
39:11three completed.
39:12Yes.
39:12Concierge team has welcomes
39:13at the airport,
39:14pickups, drop-offs.
39:15Okay.
39:16It's a full service.
39:17You've essentially
39:18put together the infrastructure
39:20of a hotel.
39:21Correct.
39:21A mini hotel.
39:23With residential properties.
39:25Yes.
39:26All the rental money
39:27goes into one account
39:28and then it pays out
39:29the concierge teams,
39:30landscape teams,
39:31electricity, utilities,
39:33that kind of stuff.
39:33Everything goes from there.
39:34Anything left goes
39:35to the individual owners.
39:37To be honest,
39:37it wasn't at all
39:38what I expected.
39:39It was a very different model
39:42because I think just the size
39:43and scale of these homes
39:45to also be doing them
39:47almost like nightly rentals
39:48like we do at the hotel.
39:50Some are Sean's properties,
39:53some are independently owned.
39:55So it's a combination
39:56hotel, residential community.
40:00Okay, so this is your
40:01open concept kitchen.
40:03Kitchen over there?
40:04Kitchen.
40:05Yeah.
40:05There'd be an island there,
40:0710 or 12 foot island,
40:09big table here.
40:09Dining.
40:10So bedrooms on either end?
40:11So two bedrooms over there,
40:12two bedrooms over there.
40:13I'll show you through.
40:14Okay.
40:16Beautiful views.
40:18En suite here,
40:19closet at the back.
40:20Walking closet,
40:21big view out back,
40:22big, big doors.
40:23You'll be able to walk through,
40:24go over to the deck.
40:25Gorgeous.
40:26We find that it's
40:27three, four families coming.
40:29They're sharing it.
40:30They're sharing it.
40:30They're sharing it.
40:30We're flying a lot.
40:31So we're doing,
40:32on occupancy,
40:32like on three or four homes,
40:33we can do 60, 70 people a night
40:35just with three or four.
40:36Right.
40:36Which sometimes is more than
40:37the hotels that are close to us.
40:39Yeah.
40:39We're at capacity at 65, 70 people a night.
40:43We're fully loaded.
40:44And we do that in three houses.
40:46It's an interesting model.
40:47I think somewhere between hotel room
40:50and seven bedroom with en suite mansion.
40:55Yes.
40:56Is the sweet spot for the next generation of travel.
41:01We're looking at a project that is,
41:03I think, more affordable,
41:05but has the same amenities,
41:07you know, in maybe a smaller,
41:09more spread out scale.
41:10This is a 600 acre parcel that's available.
41:13All around you now.
41:15All around us now.
41:16So just to do these beachfront sides,
41:19we could easily put in
41:2151 200 foot lots on the ocean.
41:25The acquisition of Tiamo gives us
41:27another 13 units right off the bat,
41:30but it also gives us another dive shop.
41:32It gives us the water sports,
41:33boat rentals, the cedar rentals,
41:35the sailboats.
41:35It gives us the lee side,
41:37you know, for the sunset.
41:38I think there's a bill that they'll come,
41:40but I think you're a little crazy.
41:43Yeah.
41:44Probably similar to something that I would do.
41:47As we sit here.
41:48Maybe slightly as stupid as I am.
41:50We're trying to figure out what makes sense for us,
41:53and the only way to do that,
41:54I think,
41:54is to see every different scale out there,
41:56from 6,000 square foot custom homes
42:00to smaller independent villas
42:03like what we have,
42:03which is like 700 square feet.
42:06It's going to be a push.
42:07Mm.
42:08An adventure.
42:09And we'll see if you guys are still together at the end.
42:11We've been through so much.
42:13We can handle a little more.
42:15We came down here to learn a few things,
42:17and I think we did.
42:26So?
42:27Another busy day.
42:29Yeah, I think it was a worthwhile trip over to Exuma, though.
42:32The average income family
42:35can have that elevated experience,
42:39you know,
42:40in a home that you wouldn't necessarily rent by yourself
42:43or could afford to.
42:44True.
42:45Is that a motto we should look at
42:46for a way to capitalize on land
42:49that is not beachfront
42:50with something like a golf course or tennis?
42:53That multifamily aspect is interesting.
42:56It's something we need to look at,
42:57but I don't think it's the direction
42:58the entire thing will go.
42:59There are so many ideas floating around in our heads.
43:02I just don't want to get sidetracked
43:04from what we really want
43:05by seeing what other people have done.
43:07Yeah.
43:08Don't want to build them too big.
43:10Don't want to build them too small.
43:13We don't know what we want yet.
43:15That's the bottom line.
43:16I need to find the right chair
43:17and the right temperature of porridge
43:19that will make you perfectly pleasantly happy.
43:26We're counting down the days,
43:27but we're so far from finished.
43:3220 working days.
43:34I think we're kind of screwed in here.
43:3630 years of backbreaking labor,
43:38and here I am on a Sunday hanging pictures.
43:42I'm never doing this again!
43:44In the units that are on the stilt,
43:46there's some serious structural issues.
43:48We knew it was rusting out in areas.
43:50It was really bad.
43:51If the structure in these buildings isn't repaired,
43:54this building may not be here.
43:56I'm not worried about this.
44:00The fact that there's...
44:01How many of these?
44:02A few.
44:03Yeah.
44:04That's the only thing I'm worried about.
44:06Tick-tock, tick-tock, Jo.
44:07The guests are coming.
