00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:04Today we're talking about the 2025 Mobilize Duo and a detailed look inside this new electric microcar.
00:13The Mobilize Duo is the spiritual successor to the Renault Twizy and offers clever innovations as well as surprising spaciousness.
00:21It is without a doubt one of the most exciting new products in the electric microcar class.
00:26With its compact design, it is primarily intended for urban traffic, where space is at a premium and narrow lanes dominate everyday life.
00:36The Duo is a tandem two-seater from Renault and represents a logical further development of the Twizy.
00:43It sets new standards in terms of design, comfort and safety.
00:47Particularly striking is the simple but well-thought-out interior, which surprises with practical solutions.
00:53For example, with a vertically opening door that is ideal for tight parking spaces, or the airbag in the steering wheel, which is almost a sensation in this vehicle category.
01:04Despite its compact dimensions of 2.4 meters long and only 1.3 meters wide, the cockpit appears surprisingly tidy.
01:12The design is kept functional.
01:14The controls are large, clearly visible and easily accessible.
01:18The digital instrument cluster is particularly eye-catching, as it clearly displays the driving mode, speed and battery level.
01:27The infotainment system is linked to the driver's smartphone, which can be connected via USB-C and charged at the same time.
01:35An interesting and often neglected detail is the adjustable air vent, which has been sensibly integrated here.
01:41And as already mentioned, the steering wheel is also equipped with an airbag.
01:47An absolute rarity in this vehicle segment.
01:51Anyone willing to spend around âŹ1,000 more can even upgrade the duo with seat heating and air conditioning.
01:58The interior is dominated by robust and functional materials.
02:03Plastic is used in particular, but it appears solid and durably manufactured.
02:07The driver's seat is well padded and comfortable, while the rear seat is integrated directly into the body.
02:15At least it has side armrests.
02:17The generous glazing including a skylight ensures plenty of light in the interior and significantly alleviates the otherwise typical cramped feeling of tandem vehicles.
02:28The upper windows can be opened and locked if necessary.
02:31In terms of space, the Mobilize Duo is cleverly designed, even if there are compromises.
02:40The driver's seat offers ample space and comfort, while the rear seat is more of an emergency seat for short distances, especially if head and legroom are limited.
02:50There is no flexible seating configuration here, as the rear seat is permanently installed.
02:55There is also no real trunk.
03:00Due to the upward opening doors, there are also no storage compartments in the doors or in the dashboard.
03:06Instead, Mobilize recommends using the space behind the front seat.
03:10Two small cabin trolleys fit in there.
