00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today it's all about the exciting comparison of the Mobilized Duo and the Citroen Army.
00:11Please note that our comparison is not a real direct comparison, but only a virtual one.
00:18The vehicles in the video are example vehicles for visual representation.
00:23Light electric vehicles are becoming increasingly popular in Europe, especially among young drivers.
00:30In Germany, you can drive such vehicles from the age of 15 with a Class AM driving license.
00:37Two representatives of this genre from France are in particular focus,
00:41the well-known Citroen Army and the new Mobilized Duo,
00:44which is considered the spiritual successor to the Renault Twissy.
00:49Both vehicles are extremely compact at around 2.4 meters long,
00:53although the Mobilized Duo is slightly narrower at 1.3 meters than the Citroen Army,
00:58which is just under 1.4 meters wide.
01:02The Mobilized Duo stands out with its highly simplified and functional design language.
01:08The 13-inch wheels are positioned on the outer edges of the body,
01:12which offers advantages both during production and repairs.
01:17Its unpainted surface is made of approximately 40% recycled material,
01:22making scratches barely noticeable.
01:24The Citroen Army also features a minimalist yet striking design.
01:30The symmetrical structure with vertical body panels contributes to cost efficiency and space utilization.
01:37A special feature is that the doors open differently.
01:40The driver's side opens in the opposite direction,
01:42the passenger side conventionally, which offers advantages during assembly.
01:47Various design packages are available as options for the Army,
01:51including wraps and additional body elements.
01:55Both vehicles offer interesting interior concepts.
01:58The Mobilized Duo relies on a tandem seating arrangement, i.e.,
02:02a seating concept positioned one behind the other.
02:05While the rear seat is fixed, the front seat can be adjusted for length.
02:10The interior design is functional,
02:13with large buttons and a small display showing speed, driving mode, and remaining range.
02:17An airbag and seat heating are standard.
02:22Air conditioning is optionally available.
02:25Luggage space is available, but limited.
02:28There's still room for two small suitcases.
02:31The Citroen Army offers a more airy feeling thanks to its side-by-side seating.
02:36Behind the seats, there's some storage space for a bag or small carry-on luggage.
02:41The interior is deliberately simple.
02:43A central element is the smartphone, which serves as an infotainment system in a holder.
02:49There are no door handles, instead, fabric loops have been installed.
02:54The windows can be opened manually.
02:56The standard equipment includes LED lights, a USB port, a dehumidifier, and a large panoramic roof,
03:03which creates a pleasant feeling of space.
03:05In terms of technical specifications, the Mobilize Duo is slightly ahead, at least in the 80 EVO variant.
03:13While the 45 NEO version with its 8 horsepower, like the Citroen Army, reaches a maximum of 45 kmph,
03:21the more powerful 16-horsepower version can reach speeds of up to 80 kmph.
03:27However, this requires a driver's license for drivers, as it no longer falls under the light vehicle category.
03:33Both Duo models are equipped with a 10.3 kWh battery, allowing a range of approximately 160 km.
03:45Charging is possible either via an integrated 1.8 kW Shuko cable, which allows a full charge in around 6 hours,
03:53or with an optional Type 2 cable at public charging stations, where the charging time is approximately 5 hours.
03:59The Citroen Army also has 8 horsepower and also reaches a top speed of 45 kmph.
04:08However, the battery is significantly smaller at 5.5 kWh, which is also reflected in the range.
04:15According to the manufacturer, this is approximately 75 km.
04:19Charging time at a household wall socket is around 4 hours.
04:23In terms of price, the Citroen Army has the advantage.
04:27With a starting price of around 8,000 euros, it is one of the most affordable electric vehicles on the market.
04:33The mobilized Duo is significantly more expensive, at just under 10,000 euros for the 45 NEO version,
04:40and anyone opting for the 80 Evo variant can expect to pay over 12,000 euros.
04:45According to online users, the Duo offers better build quality and greater everyday usability thanks to its longer range,
04:54while the Army impresses with its charming design and lower cost.
05:01As always, you'll find the link to read the article in our magazine in the video description.
