00:00Welcome to the new video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today we're talking about the revised 2025 model of the NIO EC6.
00:08The all-electric coupe is one of the Chinese manufacturer's flagship models and has now undergone extensive redesign.
00:15The model update is based on the NT2.5 platform, which also underlies the revised ES6, ET5, and ET5 touring models.
00:24Pre-sales officially start on May 10, and the first vehicles will be on display in Chinese showrooms from May 16.
00:34Those who complete their reservation by June 30, 2025, will receive 5 years of free battery changes, 240 vouchers, and 10,000 NIO points upon delivery.
00:44The new EC6 borrows many elements from the flagship ET9, including a redesigned interior with a horizontal touchscreen that now dominates the center console.
00:59The central control element is a 15.6-inch amulet screen with a horizontal orientation.
01:04Complemented by a 19.4-inch head-up display in the windshield and a digital rear-view mirror with 8-megapixel resolution,
01:15the Nomi-made voice control system in version 3.0 enables more natural voice interactions.
01:22Also new is the classic steering column stock as a gear selector, creating additional space in the center console.
01:28Practical innovations such as two wireless charging pads with cooling function and sliding cup holder covers increase everyday comfort.
01:41The new IC6 continues to feature an all-wheel drive system with two electric motors,
01:46a 150 kW asynchronous motor on the front axle and a 210 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor on the rear axle.
01:53Together, this results in an output of 490 horsepower and a maximum torque of 700 Nm.
02:04Customers can choose between three battery sizes, with the largest, at 150 kWh,
02:10enabling an estimated range according to the CLTC of up to 935 kilometers.
02:17The familiar battery service model also remains, allowing users to rent the battery instead of purchasing it.
02:23This offers an option for lower entry-level prices.
02:27The Neo EC6 also benefits from the company's new proprietary Shenji computing unit,
02:32whose performance is equivalent to four market-leading processors.
02:38This not only enables faster computing, but also more efficient task distribution and improved AI-supported safety functions.
02:46The chassis has not been fundamentally changed, but there have been aerodynamic optimizations to the body design.
02:53In particular, the redesigned headlights with slimmer daytime running lights visually distinguish the 2025 models from their predecessors.
03:02For occupants, the Neo promises a higher level of comfort.
03:06The seats consist of an 11-layer structure with 3.5 centimeters of soft foam
03:10and are upholstered in high-quality nap-napper leather with leaf-textured stitching.
03:14All front seats offer heating, ventilation, and massage functions as standard.
03:21In the rear, a new easy-access function facilitates entry and exit.
03:26Visually, the EC6 remains true to its sporty, elegant coupe design.
03:31Together with the ES, the model has already attracted almost 370,000 customers,
03:36making it one of the best-selling premium electric SUVs in China.
03:42Neo hasn't yet announced official prices for the 2025 model year.
03:47Previous starting prices were around €41,000 for the ES6 and around €44,000 for the EC6.
