00:04Today we're talking about the revised ET5 sedan from NIO,

00:08which is attracting attention with impressive technology, comfort, and an enormous range of over 1,000 kilometers.

00:17The Chinese manufacturer has unveiled the new generation of the ET5

00:21and has incorporated more than 500 improvements over the previous model,

00:25including optimizations in design, driving comfort, intelligent vehicle control,

00:30and performance.

00:33Even visually, the sedan has undergone clear developments.

00:38The front end has been redesigned and now features intelligent ADB matrix headlights

00:42and striking LED daytime running lights in a double-dash design.

00:47The hood also appears more dynamic and sporty thanks to its new shape.

00:52The ET5 is now available in the new exterior color Sunset Purple,

00:56which gives the vehicle a particularly elegant appearance.

01:00Sporty accents are provided by glossy black add-on parts on the bumpers, side skirts, and diffuser,

01:06as well as new, aerodynamically optimized 5-spoke 20-inch wheels.

01:12Inside, NIO relies on a high-tech yet homely ambience.

01:16A horizontally arranged amulet display with a diagonal of around 4V serves as the central control and display unit.

01:26This is complemented by a digital instrument cluster with a diagonal of approximately 0.25 meters,

01:33an impressive augmented reality head-up display with a screen diagonal of 1.3 meters,

01:38and a digital rear-view mirror.

01:39Three new interior colors are available, purple, pearl, and gray.

01:45The seats are equipped with an 11-stage comfort system, including two-part upholstery and high-resilient foam.

01:51The rear seat cushions offer even more support thanks to a contact surface that has been extended by 7 centimeters.

02:01Furthermore, infrared reflective side windows and a double-silver-coated panoramic roof

02:05with up to 99% IR rejection ensure a pleasant temperature in the interior.

02:12NIO has also made technical improvements.

02:14The specially-developed NX9Z1 chip achieves a computing power equivalent to that of four market-leading processors.

02:24In combination with 29 sensors, including a LiDAR sensor with 300-line equivalents and a 4D imaging radar,

02:31highly precise environmental detection is possible.

02:36This enables the implementation of advanced driver assistance systems that,

02:39with NIO's so-called world model, enable predictive navigation at lane level.

02:45Starting at the end of June, a major software update via radio will significantly expand the functionality of the driver assistance system.

02:54The ET5 continues to be powered by an all-wheel drive system with two electric motors

02:59that together generate around 500 horsepower and around 700 Nm of torque.

03:03Batteries with 75 and 100 kW capacity are available for energy supply.

03:12This gives the sedan a range of up to 585 kilometers according to the CRTC standard.

03:19In addition, a 150 kW battery can be rented for temporary use, enabling a range of over 1,000 kilometers.

03:27Prices start at around 38,000 euros for battery rental or around 44,000 euros when purchased with the battery.

04:16With a towing capacity of up to 1,400 kilogram and a maximum nose weight of 75 kilograms,

04:23it is ideal for use with a bike rack or caravan.

04:29The model also offers an intelligent, dimmable panoramic roof, exclusive to the Touring.

04:34Comfort is ensured by 14 electrically adjustable seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions,

04:43as well as an impressive sound system with 23 speakers in a 7-to-1 configuration.

04:50The Touring also features two wireless fast charging pads, each with a 50-watt charging capacity.

04:55With its enhanced comfort features, innovative assistance systems, and enormous range,

05:03the NIO ET5 Touring positions itself as a serious competitor in the upscale electric sector,

05:08despite slightly higher prices compared to rivals like the Tesla Model 3 or the CR907.
