00:00Welcome to the latest video from the Car Magazine Tuning Block, in which we take a closer look at
00:11the brand new all-electric minicars Citroen C3 and Hyundai Insta. You can find the link to read
00:19the article in our magazine in the video description. The minicar segment has changed
00:25significantly in recent years due to strict safety and emissions regulations. High prices and low
00:31profitability have deterred many manufacturers. However, in 2025, fully electric models such as
00:39the Citroen C3 and the Hyundai Insta could revive the market for these minicars. Both vehicles score
00:46points with manageable entry-level prices and are aimed at city dwellers as well as drivers who want
00:51to be mobile beyond the city limits. The Citroen C3 also offers options with a combustion engine and
00:58hybrid drive, while the Hyundai Insta is available as a fully electric model. Both models impress with
01:06their individual design and equipment that offers just the right amount of technology for everyday
01:10use. On the exterior, the new Citroen C3 features a traditional design with clear vertical and
01:18horizontal lines. The front section is dominated by LED headlights with the characteristic light
01:24signature of the latest models. Black plastic trim on the wheel arches and side skirts gives the C3 a
01:32robust and versatile character. Two-tone roof and body combinations as well as numerous customization
01:39options particularly appeal to a younger audience. The Hyundai Insta, on the other hand, adopts the
01:48personal design of its Korean sibling Caspar and impresses with typical Hyundai details such as the upper
01:53headlights and pixel design. The circular light cluster below gives Insta its own personality.
02:01Plastic applications on the Insta also underline its robust appearance. Inside, the Citroen C3 relies on
02:11the advanced comfort concept, which focuses on the well-being of the occupants. The dashboard is
02:19uncluttered and equipped with a small upper display that shows the most important information for the
02:23driver. The base version features a central smartphone holder, while the Max version boasts a generous
02:3210.25-inch touchscreen. Ergonomically arranged controls and ample space for four adults are also available.
02:45At 310L, the boot offers one of the largest volumes in the segment.
02:49The Hyundai Insta, on the other hand, surprises with a few hidden details and, at first glance,
02:56a somewhat more elaborately designed interior. The omission of a center console creates a more
03:02generous sense of space and plenty of freedom of movement for the front occupants.
03:08The Insta is equipped with 210.25-inch displays as standard, while a large air conditioning unit with
03:14numerous functions and many physical buttons is located below the center screen.
03:19The boot volume can be expanded to up to 105L through clever use of space and seat folding mechanisms.
03:30Under the bonnet, the Citroen C3 offers three different drive options, petrol, mild hybrid and
03:35electric. The petrol engine is a three-cylinder 1.2-liter pure tech with 100 horsepower, which is also
03:43available in the hybrid version with a torque of 205Nm. The 48V hybrid system allows half of the time in
03:52city driving in electric mode. The electric version of the EC3 is powered by a 113 horsepower front
04:00mounted motor, which uses a 44 kWh iron phosphate battery and offers a range of around 326 kilometers
04:08according to the WLTP cycle. The maximum charging power is 100 kW. The Hyundai Insta is offered as a
04:17fully electric model and is available in two configurations. The entry-level version develops
04:2477 horsepower and is equipped with a 42 kWh battery, which enables a WLTP range of 327 kilometers.
04:35The long-range version with 115 horsepower has a 49 kWh battery and achieves a range of 370 kilometers.
04:43The maximum charging power of the Insta is 85 kW. Prices for the Citroen C3 start at 15,240 euros for the
04:54petrol version. The EC3 starts at 23,300 euros, while the 48V version is available from 21,950 euros.
05:07Standard equipment includes traffic sign recognition, cruise control, driver fatigue detection,
05:12reversing sensors and steering wheel controls. The fully electric Hyundai Insta is available
05:18from 23,900 euros for the 97 horsepower version, while the more powerful 115 horsepower version starts
05:26at 25,400 euros. Did you find the information about the Citroen C3 and Hyundai Insta interesting?
