00:00welcome to the video from the car magazine tuning blog about the hyundai insta as always you can
00:12find the link to read the article in our magazine in the video description today we're taking a
00:20closer look at the hyundai insta and comparing it virtually with its main competitors the fiat
00:24grande panda electric the dacia spring and the renault 5ch electric since this is not a real
00:33comparison test we ask for your understanding that we can only show each vehicle individually
00:37using example vehicles a real comparison test is to follow later this year with a length of 3.83
00:46meters the hyundai insta is one of the small electric cars
00:49for comparison the fiat 500 electric is 20 centimeters shorter while the dacia spring is
00:57similarly long at 3.7 meters but even more compact
01:03with a height of 1.8 meters the insta towers over typical small cars and instead moves more into the
01:09suv category is just as high as the fiat grande panda electric or the citron ic3 but taller than the
01:18dacia spring the renault 5ch electric and the mini cooper electric
01:24the proportions of the hyundai insta therefore appear rather chubby due to its great height and
01:29comparatively short length with an entry level price of just under 24 000 euros the insta is one
01:35of the more affordable electric cars on the market however the dacia spring is even cheaper with a base
01:42price starting at 60 900 euros the libator t03 from 8 900 euros and the citron ic3 from 23 300 euros
01:53the fiat grande panda electric starts at 24 990 euros while the fiat 500 electric is priced at a
02:00similar level
02:04the hyundai insta's direct competitors are therefore primarily the fiat grande panda electric the dacia
02:09spring and possibly the renault 5 which belongs to the small car class
02:16the fiat grande panda electric in particular seems to come closest to the hyundai insta
02:20even though it is 17 centimeters longer at almost 4 meters
02:27in the top version with only 85 liters and a range of up to 370 kilometers
02:32the hyundai insta sets some standards within its comparison group
02:35it offers the greatest range and also charges the fastest
02:42in order to better assess the practical relevance of the charging times
02:46we compare the values for the recharging range i.e the distance gain per minute of charging time
02:53the hyundai insta achieves the best value in this comparison with around 8.6 kilometers per minute
02:59however it should be noted that this is not an exceptional value in the overall picture
03:06but rather average after all the insta is primarily designed as a city car
03:13in terms of performance the hyundai can also keep up even if the slightly more powerful renault 5 is
03:18significantly faster in acceleration in terms of boot space the fiat grande panda electric is ahead
03:27which is not least due to its greater length in terms of price however the dacia spring remains
03:34unbeaten the hyundai insta is unlocked via remote control a digital vehicle key is only available in
03:42higher trim levels in this case the car can also be unlocked via an app the front door handles are
03:50designed as brackets while the rear ones are discreetly integrated into the c-pillar
03:58the cockpit of the insta comes standard with two 10.3 inch screens which are not arranged next to each
04:03other but at different heights a navigation system is already included from the basic select variant
04:11onwards the short center console allows you to easily slide from the driver's side to the passenger side
04:19this is a particularly practical feature when getting in and out of tight parking spaces
04:25the cup holder is integrated directly into the driver's seat creating additional space in the center
04:30console the power windows can be operated using four separate buttons while the exterior mirrors are
04:36adjusted using a four-way rocker switch in times when many manufacturers are doing without haptic controls
04:44such practical details are definitely to be rated positively
04:50another useful feature is the adjustable recuperation which can be conveniently controlled using the steering wheel
04:56paddles the transmission selector is designed as a steering column lever similar to the ionic 5
05:02and enables intuitive operation of the parking neutral reverse and drive modes
05:09particularly noteworthy are the rear seats that can be moved forwards and backwards
05:13as well as the folding front seat backrests which are available from the trend trim level
05:20this gives the insta remarkable interior flexibility and can even be used as a mini hotel room to some
05:25extent according to seat tests the insta offers sufficient space in the rear
05:33in the renault 5 for example it is no longer possible to push your feet under the front seat when
05:38it is in the lowest position in the hyundai insta on the other hand this is possible
05:45the trunk looks usable in the pictures
05:49in its vehicle class the hyundai offers a solid range and an acceptable charging speed
05:54at least for a city car
05:58the interior variability is particularly impressive which stands out in the subcompact suv segment
06:05however the 17 centimeters longer fiat grande panda electric has the edge in terms of trunk volume
06:12in terms of price the dacia spring remains unbeatable
