00:07A fresh chapter in the model history of the traditional Italian brand.
00:15Combining its urban design with efficient hybrid technology,
00:19its striking style reminiscent of the iconic Panda model from the 1980s and its focus on sustainability,
00:24the new small car is particularly aimed at city families looking for an affordable and at the same time modern entry into electrified mobility.
00:35The new model was developed entirely in Italy, more precisely, at Centro-style Fiat in Morafi Fiori near Turin.
00:43Together with its fully electric sister, the Fiat Grande Panda Electric,
00:47the Fiat Grande Panda forms the basis of a new global vehicle family.
00:51Thanks to its compact dimensions of 3.90 meters in length, 1.067 meters in width and 1.850 meters in height,
01:01it remains easy to handle in city traffic, yet offers sufficient space for up to 5 people.
01:07The vehicle is based on the versatile smart car platform from the Stellantis Group,
01:11which enables both hybrid and electric drives.
01:15A clear commitment to flexibility in a changing mobility market.
01:18The Fiat Grande Panda Hybrid is powered by a modern turbocharged engine with 3 cylinders and a displacement of 1.2 L.
01:27It generates an output of 101 horsepower and uses the efficiency-enhancing Miller cycle,
01:32in which the intake valves close earlier than usual.
01:36This technology reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions at the same time.
01:41The petrol engine is supported by a 21 kW electric motor, which is powered by a 48-volt lithium-ion battery.
01:51The energy for this comes exclusively from recuperation when the vehicle is decelerating.
01:56The electric unit is seamlessly integrated into a specially developed 6-speed dual-clutch transmission,
02:03which transfers the drive power to the front wheels.
02:06This so-called IDC transmission allows comfortable two-pedal driving and is therefore completely in keeping with the typical easy-drive philosophy.
02:16The advantages of this drive system are obvious.
02:19The electric support when starting off, known as E-launching, and the E-creeping,
02:26in which the vehicle rolls electrically at low speed,
02:29result in lower fuel consumption and a quieter, more relaxed driving experience, especially in city traffic.
02:35In certain situations, such as at speeds below 30 km per hour on level ground or in traffic jams,
02:44the Grande Panda Hybrid can even drive purely on electricity.
02:49Even parking maneuvers, whether forwards or backwards,
02:52are carried out exclusively electrically a feature called e-parking.
02:57The system also features e-ching, i.e. electric propulsion in stop-and-go traffic.
03:05Thanks to the interaction of the combustion engine and electric motor,
03:08comfort is maintained while consumption and emissions are reduced.
03:13The design of the new Fiat Grande Panda Hybrid is clearly Italian in character and pays homage to the early Panda models.
03:21Powerful lines, wide wheel arches and striking LED headlights with a pixel look reveal a connection to the first video games of the 1980s.
03:30The love for the brand identity is also evident in the details.
03:35The three-dimensional Panda on the doors,
03:38the Fiat lettering on the rear and the logos printed in the shape of a grid in the C-pillars create a harmonious overall image.
03:46The color palette has been deliberately chosen to be vibrant and is based on the Italian joie de vivre.
03:52From lime yellow to aqua green to gelato white, all the senses are addressed.
03:56Inside, the Fiat Grande Panda Hybrid impresses with plenty of space, practical storage compartments and a boot volume of over 400L,
04:06which can be expanded to almost 1,400L with the rear seats folded down.
04:12Tasmania Blue dominates the color scheme.
04:14This is complemented by yellow accents on the ventilation elements of the center console and the seat covers.
04:19One highlight is the use of BAMBOX bamboo fiber text.
04:25A sustainable material that consists of around one-third bamboo fibers and has a pleasantly natural feel.
04:33In the LA Prima version, this material is used on the dashboard.
04:37The sustainability concept is supplemented by the use of La Polen Ecotec,
04:44an innovative composite material made from recycled beverage cartons.
04:50Each vehicle contains the components of around 140 boxes,
04:54clearly visible through its characteristic blue color and the slight glitter of the aluminium.
05:00The Fiat Grande Panda Hybrid is available in three equipment lines,
05:04Pop, Icon and La Prima.
05:05Prices start at around €19,000.
05:10Even the basic equipment comes with modern driver assistance systems,
05:14a digital instrument cluster with a screen diagonal of 10 inches,
05:17an electric parking brake and manually controlled air conditioning.
05:23The Icon variant supplements the range with a 10.5-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system,
05:28six speakers and LED technology for the front and rear lights.
05:32Optional equipment packages are available for additional comfort.
05:38The tech package includes, among other things, a navigation system, automatic climate control,
05:43a reversing camera and wireless charging for smartphones.
05:46The winter package adds heated seats, steering wheel and windscreen.
05:50For those who value more design, the style package includes 16-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, tinted rear windows and underbody protection.
06:01The top of the range Prima model rounds off the equipment with 17-inch alloy wheels and bamboo trim.
06:06In terms of safety, numerous driver assistance systems are standard.
06:11These include cruise control, a speed limiter, active emergency braking and lane departure warning.
06:18The system also detects speed limits, monitors the driver's attention and warns of impending fatigue.
06:27The LA Prima version also features front parking sensors and a rear-view camera.
06:33The new Fiat Grande Panda Hybrid also meets modern requirements in terms of connectivity.
06:39Two digital displays, wireless smartphone connectivity and multiple USB-C ports enable convenient use of communication and infotainment functions.
06:47Thanks to NFC technology, a simple touch is all it takes to control key functions, for example to quickly and safely switch between applications.
06:59The standard Connect One services include an SOS emergency call, roadside assistance and regular vehicle data.
07:07The range of connected services is set to be expanded even further in the future.
07:12The overall package is rounded off by a wide range of accessories.
07:17There are over 100 specially developed components to choose from, including stylish sticker sets that pay homage to the original Panda model and add a personal touch to the new Fiat Grande Panda Hybrid.
