00:00Tonight's friendly against Jamaica is only a subplot of the bigger picture, which is TNT creating history and securing their first qualification to the FIFA Women's World Cup.
00:10That campaign will start officially next month and co-head coach Damian Briggs explain how they will approach qualification.
00:16I think after this game, we're going to be having meetings around scouting network, different types of players, what types of players we've got, how we're going to match it up.
00:28Look at the opposition, what they've got and, you know, we're trying to get the best team possible to go and compete against the three teams that's in our group, which all play with a different style.
00:42Obviously, the two, so more South American base would be a different style to South Barbados and we want to be able to go and mix and match and become adaptable and be able to adjust to the different styles of play.
00:55So that's what we're working on.
00:58As for the impending grandparent rule, the coach is receptive to the rule and the potential it can bring.
01:04I think if it gives us the eligibility to get, you know, players in that we think would come into the team and help, you know, make the team better.
01:14We're always trying as staff to find players that will give us that improvement.
01:19And, you know, in the game of football today, as you know, if you can get the best of the best, you will go and look for the best of the best.
01:27So if it helps us to get players, so welcome it as well.
01:31With our national women being inactive for almost two years, the fitness of players is a genuine concern.
01:38But coach Briggs assured the ladies are working hard and should be ready for the challenge.
01:43At this moment, are we all where we want to be?
01:48No, because obviously time and so forth.
01:53But we are in a much better place.
01:57Chi is up for it, like the rest of the team.
01:59They have been working hard, especially in the sessions.
02:03You know, they've been putting it in.
02:05You know, they've worked really, really hard.
02:08And off the pitch, they've worked really hard as well from a tactical standpoint to understand things and, you know, asking questions.
