The Concacaf women's U17 qualifiers kicked off with T&T hosting Group B.

Honduras have already taken the advantage after beating Belize 1-0 earlier at the Ato Boldon stadium.

And the young Warrior women will go into action at the top of the hour against the US Virgin Island.

T&T will want to keep pace to finish as an automatic qualifier to the final round...where the top finishers will go through.

00:00Hi, my name is Mia Lee Chong. I am 15 years old and I'm from Jacksonville, Florida and I've played
00:07with the Trinidad and Tobago Youth National Team since under 14 and under 15 and I'm back again
00:13here for the under 17 Conqueror Cup World Cup qualifiers. Mia Lee Chong is one of four foreign
00:20base players in the TNT squad. She and fellow midfielder Sani Wilson both come from the state
00:25of Florida. Mia's connection is through her Trinbagunian father and has already represented
00:30TNT at the under 14 and under 15 levels. But while the young midfielder has adjusted to the
00:35Trini culture, she spoke about her initial experiences. I would say going back to when
00:40I very first came here for under 14, it was like it was the first time I came to the country so
00:44there's a lot of like new experiences, challenges, like the accents and trying new food and everything
00:51but like now after hanging out with the girls I love it here and I'm so excited to be back.
00:56The other two foreign base players come from England in goalkeeper Zaria Aimi and we get to
01:00meet the other. My name is Anya Thompson. I'm from London, we're just outside London and I'm here to
01:06play for the under 17s at this World Cup qualifiers in Trinidad. So I play centre-back usually although
01:13more recently I've been playing in midfield, sometimes defensive midfield, sometimes more
01:19and I'm really enjoying that. Thompson, whose grandmother still lives in Trinidad,
01:23explained what it means for her to represent TNT and how she's settled with her teammates.
01:27It means so much, especially for my family as well, my Trini family. They're so proud that I'm
01:33playing here. How was the work, meeting some of the girls for the first time? How has that been
01:38so far? They're so friendly. Yeah, I've only just spoken to some of them, they were helping me
01:42through the warm-up and everything. However, one of the locals who is expected to be among the
01:49goals is attacker Aurel Martin. My name is Aurel Martin, I'm 60 years of age. I'm from Arima,
01:57I attend Bishop Harrissey High School East and my aspirations for this tournament is just to win
02:04and play as best as I can to help my team score plenty goals, have a lot of fun and just stay
02:11focused on getting to the World Cup.
