00:00Can God's Words Be Changed?

00:04The Bible vs the Qur'an Did you know that according to the Qur'an,

00:09no one can change the words of God?

00:12In the Qur'an, Allah tells us in Surah Qaf, chapter 50, verse 29, my word cannot be changed.

00:21He also says the same in Surah Yunus, chapter 10, verse 64, the words of God shall not change.

00:28This is why Muslims believe the Qur'an is special.

00:32It has never been changed.

00:34For over 1400 years, every single word has stayed exactly the same.

00:41Now let's talk about another holy book.

00:44The Bible also teaches that no one should change God's words.

00:49For example, in Matthew, chapter 5, verse 18, and Isaiah, chapter 40, verse 8, it says,

00:56God's words last forever, but unfortunately, there are many versions of the Bible today.

01:03For instance, the Protestant Bible has 66 books, while the Catholic Bible has 73 books.

01:11According to Christian sources, there are more than 3000 versions of the Bible in different

01:17languages around the world.

01:19The original language of the first part or the Old Testament of the Bible was in Hebrew,

01:26given to prophets like Moses, Solomon, and others.

01:30But the original Hebrew text does not exist today.

01:34What we have today comes from translations like Greek.

01:38The New Testament or the last part of the Bible, which God sent to Prophet Jesus or Isa,

01:44peace be upon him, was also originally in Hebrew.

01:48But the oldest copies we have today are in Greek.

01:52And here's something surprising.

01:55Jesus, peace be upon him, did not even speak Greek.

01:58His language was Hebrew.

02:01So the original words of Jesus, peace be upon him, were unfortunately not fully preserved.

02:07Because of this, Muslims believe the Bible today might have some of God's words.

02:13But it has also been changed over time.

02:16That is why Muslims do not see it as the complete word of God.

02:21Muslims love and respect Jesus or Isa, peace be upon him, as a great prophet from God Almighty,

02:28who came to spread peace and guide people to the right path.

02:32Allah gave him a holy book called the Injil.

02:37But Muslims believe the Injil given to Jesus, peace be upon him, is not the same as today's

02:44New Testament.

02:46So to conclude, Muslims believe a holy book must remain unchanged to fully be the word of

02:53God.

02:54Today, the Quran is the only holy book in the world that has stayed the same word for word

03:00from the time of Prophet Muhammad until now.
