00:19In Mecca, during the early days of Islam, many people did not believe in life after death or the Day of Judgment.
00:27To help them understand and picture what will happen on the Day of Judgment, Allah sent Surah Infitar and Surah Taqweer around the same time.
00:38In the first part of this Surah, Allah tells us what will happen at the end of the world.
00:44The sky, which is usually calm and beautiful, will split apart, and the stars will fall down scattered all over the place.
00:53The seas will burst and overflow, and the graves will be turned upside down, bringing people back to life.
01:00On that day, everyone will see the good and bad things that they did in their lives.
01:06Some things will make us sad that we missed on, like giving charity or praying at the mosque.
01:12We will also be glad that we did not do certain things, like say something bad when we were mad or stopping ourselves from doing something bad others told us to do.
01:22We have to remember that what we do can affect the people around us and even people in the future, even after we die.
01:31The Prophet Muhammad explained that if someone starts a good habit in Islam, they will keep getting rewards for everyone who follows that habit.
01:42But if someone starts a bad habit, they will be in trouble for all the people who continue to do bad actions because of them.
01:53That is why it is so important to be the best Muslim we can be.
02:00Unfortunately, a lot of people are careless even though our Creator Allah is so generous.
02:09He created us perfectly and gave us strong bodies, smart brains, and good hearts.
02:17He made us perfect in our own unique ways with arms and legs, eyes and ears, everything working just right.
02:28He made us all in different shapes and sizes and no one is exactly like another person.
02:36Sadly, even after all of Allah's blessings, people still don't believe in the Day of Judgment.
02:45Now, did you know that Allah has sent special angels to watch over us?
02:52Each of us has two angels, one on our right and one on our left side, and they are called Kiraman Katibin, which means noble writers or recorders.
03:04They record all of our good and bad actions, and they know everything that we do, even if we do something in secret.
03:13The people who have been good, who followed what Allah asked them to do, will be in paradise.
03:21The good people who tried to do what Allah wanted will be happy in paradise and will get everything they wish for.
03:30But the bad people who ignore Allah's laws and orders and did bad things will go to the blazing hellfire.
03:39They will enter to burn there on the Day of Judgment, and they will not be able to escape.
03:46Some scholars say, as soon as the evil disbelievers die, they will see the hellfire from their grave.
03:54For them, it will be like a window to Jahannam.
03:58They can't look away from it or close their eyes, and on the Day of Judgment they will be thrown into it.
04:06It is so serious that in Surah Infitar, Allah asks us twice,
04:13Do you know what the Day of Judgment is?
04:18He then explains that on that day no one will have the ability to do anything for anyone else,
04:25and only Allah will be in control and make all the final decisions.
04:32To conclude, Surah Infitar reminds us that everything we do in this life matters.
04:39Every choice, big or small, is written down and will be shown to us on the Day of Judgment.
04:46The Most Merciful, Allah gives us many chances to do good, and we should take them while we still can.
04:56Let us try our best to follow Allah's guidance, treat others with kindness, and be grateful for the blessings He has given us.
05:09Because in the end, only our good deeds will help us when we stand in front of Allah on that final day.
05:19May Allah guide us to enter the highest level of Jannah.
