00:00Quran Journey, Quran Journey, let's understand the words, and gain the knowledge from the Quran Journey.
00:17Surah Al-A'la
00:19Surah Al-A'la has two main parts.
00:21The first part gives instruction to Prophet Muhammad
00:26praising Allah and fulfilling his role as a prophet.
00:31In the second part, it talks about two groups of people, the believers and the bad non-believers.
00:38Finally, the Surah mentions that the advice mentioned in the Surah was also mentioned in the earlier message of Prophet Ibrahim and Moses.
00:49Surah Al-A'la starts with praising Allah , the Most High,
00:55our one and only God.
00:57He is our Lord who has power over everything in the universe, what we see and what we don't see.
01:05He has created and designed everything and guides them all to follow his rules.
01:12As a creator and planner, he brings out green plants from the earth for the animals.
01:19Allah even dries them up and turns them into dust-colored straws, which also used as food for animals.
01:28Basically, after Allah creates everything, he sets specific rules and provides all the important things for his creation to survive.
01:41Everything has to follow Allah's rules because he is the creator.
01:47He created us and as guidance, he gave us the Holy Qur'an.
01:52Allah taught that guidance to our last prophet Muhammad , and Allah continues to protect that guidance.
02:06That is why in human history, there has only been one book, the Qur'an, that remains unchanged for 1400 years.
02:17When Prophet Muhammad , was receiving the Qur'an from Angel Jibril ,
02:24the Qur'an, that is one of the special gifts from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to the Prophet.
02:52One time, during prayer, Prophet Muhammad forgot to recite a verse of a surah, but it did not mean that he forgot it permanently.
03:05It was a temporary slip of memory.
03:09And to protect the Qur'an forever, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala always watched over him and helped him remember the Qur'an.
03:18He even showed Prophet Muhammad , the easiest way to spread Islam.
03:24He did not need to worry about who accepted Islam or not.
03:29The Prophet's job was to only tell the people about Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and Islam.
03:35The people who were good and smart listened to the good advice and tried to learn and understand from it and got a lot of benefit from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala's guidance.
03:48For an example, when Muhammad became a prophet, some of his closest people accepted Islam right away, like Khadija, Ali, Zayd and Abu Bakr .
04:03But then there were others who didn't care at all, and they even tried to ignore the advice because they did not want to learn or change their ways.
04:15For them, no matter how much good advice they heard, it didn't help them because they did not care or want to listen like Abu Jahl, Abu Lahab, Umayyah and many more.
04:30For them, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala made the hellfire.
04:34It is a terrible place where they will suffer a lot because they won't die and they won't live either.
04:44It will be like they are stuck in between and it will feel extremely terrible all the time.
04:52But the good people who accept Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala's guidance and followed Muhammad's hadith be the winners.
05:04They worked hard to be good people and tried their best to be honest and helpful all the time.
05:12They will get the winning rewards in this world and the hereafter.
05:18Like all the sahabahs or companions who accepted Islam and followed Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala's law and order.
05:27And to this day, we still respect them all.
05:31And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will send them to heaven as a reward on the day of judgment.
05:38So, we always need to be thankful and remember Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and worship Him.
05:45We need to remember to depend on Him completely.
05:49Unfortunately, many people are foolish.
05:53They are very busy with their life in this world.
05:58They are busy making money, becoming famous or enjoying their life.
06:04They forget that the Akhirah or our next life is more important and better and is permanent.
06:12Now, let's say that you get two offers.
06:16For the first offer, you can have the most expensive house on earth.
06:23But it will only be just for one day.
06:28And for the rest of your life, you will have a very small, ugly and broken house to live in.
06:34Now, the second offer is to have a simple medium-sized home.
06:38But it will be ours for the rest of our life.
06:42Which house would you choose?
06:45I am guessing most of you would choose the second offer because we get a long-term benefit from it.
06:54In this world, our lives are very, very short compared to the hereafter.
07:01If we use this life to follow Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala's guidance, we can get a permanent good and happy life in the hereafter.
07:11That will be perfect beyond our imagination.
07:15These are the basic advice that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala told us starting from the first Prophet Adam to Prophet Muhammad .
07:26If we look at the present-day Bible, which some parts were given were from other Prophets like Prophet Musa, Sulaiman or Isa ,
07:36we can see the same advice given by Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
07:41But unfortunately, the evil people and shaitan added and removed lots of things and changed Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala's holy books in the past.
07:53That is why Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala protected the Qur'an from the beginning because it is the final and last holy book for our guidance from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
08:05From Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala until the Resurrection Day .
08:11We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to help us follow the Qur'an and Prophet Muhammad's advice and protect us from the evil in this world and protect us from the hellfire and wash away all of our sins.
08:29Ameen.
