00:00Hello there, welcome to your Friday morning weather update from the Met Office.

00:04This is the final day where high pressure will influence our weather.

00:08From tomorrow, winds will pick up and then we'll see some rain.

00:10For the time being though, if you're stepping out first, it's a bit chilly in places.

00:14We're seeing a lot of cloud and even some patchy rain and drizzle towards the north

00:19and the east of Scotland.

00:20One or two showers just grazing the east coast down towards the southeast and a breeze picking

00:25up towards the west country as well as Northern Ireland.

00:27This could overturn the cloud a little bit through the afternoon.

00:30You may find some brighter skies just attempting to develop and come through.

00:35For most, it's a dry day with a light wind.

00:38That stubborn cloud continues through the afternoon as temperatures arrive around 13 to 16 degrees

00:43Celsius.

00:44So more of the same relative to the rest of this week.

00:48Now as we head into Friday evening and overnight, we'll find that breeze continuing to pick up.

00:53That high pressure then drifts towards Denmark as well as the low countries.

00:57So this breeze will allow the cloud to overturn.

01:00So there's a higher chance of seeing some brighter skies.

01:04But then through Saturday evening and overnight, the cloud thickens without breaks of rain.

01:09So some western windy weather to come into the early hours of Saturday morning.

01:12Some heavier policies can't be ruled out across England and Wales.

01:15Northern Ireland seeing a clearance through Sunday morning into afternoon as the rain becomes

01:19confined to the far north and we see showers piling in on Sunday and into Monday.

01:24A blustery breeze here with the risk of thunder as well.

01:27Some sunshine in between but these showers could merge together to form longer spells of rain.

01:32So this is low pressure replacing high pressure and sets the scene for next week.
