11:45what happened at my stepdad was in hospital so i was all up like i got emotional didn't i i said

11:50later on didn't i like the marriage wasn't my number one priority last week yeah because i

11:54just couldn't i just wanted to know he was okay but it's not going to happen again for sure

12:08we had a a big head in the morning of the commitment ceremony

12:13and it got to a point where it was like we were just going around my own circles and i was

12:17mud on my breath just like a fucking idiot

12:28it was a massive shock to hear that

13:40it's got to change stephen needs to be more present he definitely set up his game he's got

13:47to look after her ultimately yeah he's got to put her happiness at his priority and i don't think

13:53it's definitely not there right now be alert their backs are up now they've got those alarm bells going

14:01he really needs to show me that he cares stephen has got quite a bit of work to do

14:24for the newly married couples the honeymoons are in full swing

14:46me and john definitely are getting closer and closer we've had lots of deep conversations and

14:50it's really nice to have a partner that's so supportive my guard definitely is going down and

14:56i feel more and more comfortable with him every single day wow how stunning are these views

15:02amazing aren't they gorgeous well from every angle as well this view's good oh

15:15it's honestly been the most incredible experience it just makes me think like how incredibly lucky i am

15:22that you were the one that was waiting for me yeah i feel the same like the smile hasn't left my face

15:34in past relationships i feel like i couldn't be myself or like wasn't enough for people

15:41so far you've given me the confidence that it's not gonna go wrong yeah for me

15:49i guess like an insecurity of mine is like things are so amazing and i'm like i'm scared to get her

15:55i'm like how can i be so lucky like this time and i'm just terrified that you know that it will end

16:01because through previous relationships you know just when i thought like things were getting good then

16:06it's kind of ended so i guess the reason why i do have my walls up is just because of a past specific

16:14situation

16:19i was dating this this guy you know he seemed to like take all the right boxes and

16:28like things were going really well he kind of like talking more about like the future and

16:33and and i kind of like planning forward like planning our life but one day um i basically

16:45received this phone call and on the end of the phone it was his wife

16:53oh wow he basically he lied to me the whole time and told me that he you know was single and

17:06you single for like a long time and just kind of conceals that he had

17:11this separate life so he basically was living two lives and then his whole entire life was a lie

17:18i was just absolutely just a heartbroken devastated like it made me lose faith in myself or being able

17:30to pick someone and i guess that's why i just after that i put my guards up

17:37such a hurtful time and a difficult time where i felt so deceived and made me feel like in one of the

17:44like lowest points in my life it took me a lot of time to like recover from that and get to where i

17:50am now i'm so sorry that you had to go through that you know i wanted to protect you from kind of sad

17:55feelings i hate that you've hurt so i fully understand why your guards are up that's such a huge thing to

18:04overcome but then i also see it as like an opportunity for me to go right okay like show abby that

18:12that was wrong and that i'm not hiding anything i'm a complete open book i'm not going anywhere

18:20it's pretty extreme what she told me i feel gutted that abby's had to go through that i don't want

18:26somebody as amazing as abby to ever feel hurt like that it's my job to make sure that abby doesn't feel

18:33like i'm the one that's going to hurt her everything that you're saying like 100 trust and already like

18:39my walls are so much lower than when i first met you each day they're getting lower and lower and

18:45like you being patient like that that's like all that i asked don't worry i know that it's going to

18:51take more than just a few days on a honeymoon for us to get there and i'm willing to wait for you do

18:56you think i'm worth the wait gosh you are the way john has made me feel shows me how connected we actually

19:03are makes me feel amazing because i i've never had that before and just to be with a partner that's

19:09so supportive and is not going to judge me based on my past experiences it just helps me kind of like

19:15open up to him more and let that guard down and just fully commit to him

22:41that is when they run down the hill so i did that in australia funny enough i ended up winning it

22:45so i won the national australian cheese for a competition yeah i do think she likes my crazy

22:51stories it puts a smile on her face and i'm glad she's here for it because otherwise i don't know what

22:57i'd tell her so i won on this massive like six kilo block of cheese with leo so far it's definitely fun

23:06i'm really happy i've been paired with someone who is up for anything but at the minute it is all

23:11very like surface level i'm looking forward to having more conversations a few more chats

24:15something that should be automatic it was a little scratch it doesn't matter i knew it was a scratch

24:19look it's a plaster you're fixed do you know what i'm saying but it's totally you're missing

24:24the point it's got nothing to do with the scratch that's what i mean i want you to get naggy now

24:29about something like that no because i come to the hospital i come with you in the end i know you

24:37weren't the things that were round about i don't understand around about just the most insane crazy

26:05week leah spoke about the insecurities lee was experiencing in their relationship lee thought i'd come

26:12up to you in a bar and was like hey rebecca i fancy you i think you'd said like rebecca's more

26:18my type gym girl darker there was literally nothing in it hope she likes me pizzas i don't think

26:29in-laws week could have come a better time i feel like me and leah both just need that advice from

26:33someone from home that knows us really well can put us in the right direction i can't wait to tell

26:49nicole about everything that's been going on so i can get honest advice from someone that knows me so

26:54well these are all for you well you can share them you're right i'm actually so made up that i'm

27:06seeing paula like i've needed a face that i just know from home you're right i think paula will be

27:12a little bit shocked if i start telling everything that's been happening she'll be like you're losing

27:17yourself what's going on so i know from the wedding day is quite keen to make like a build on start on a

27:22friendship so you're definitely there is there anything romantic or is it going anywhere um that's

27:31the bit that we've struggled on obviously leah's like made it clear what a usual type is you know

27:36like brunette gym girl like that type of person and then there's a girl in another couple she's like

27:42that to a t i just felt like leah was being a little bit over familiar with her if it's happened

27:49don't look at me like that it just made me feel a little bit of a type of way i think there was

27:54a bit of jealousy there and that to me in that moment was like well there's obviously some sort

27:58of feeling there because otherwise i wouldn't feel that way just to like make it all clear like

28:03there's absolutely nothing with rebecca at all like yeah the actual conversations what happened

28:06we're all in the pub and nelly rebecca and sarah they're like what would be your normal type

28:12i was like oh like normally go for like dark hair like gym girl kind of vibe and one of them was

28:18like like that's rebecca that that was it i didn't say a word you know what i mean i didn't realize that

28:23that conversation actually happened though because you've been telling me this whole time that that

28:26conversation never happened they said what my typers i said never said rebecca i've just said dark hair

28:30gym girl i didn't know that you said that you actually did say that that was your type

28:35you know this whole thing you know that because you've denied it all the time i've denied saying

28:42rebecca was my type when she's in the circle with me i haven't denied saying dark hair we all know

28:47gym dog i know that shot i know that's your type i just didn't know that's what happened in that

28:50conversation but can i actually just that wasn't the argument that was why does that upset you so much

28:54i don't like being lied to yeah but i haven't lied the whole the whole lie was me going up to a

29:04it does sound a bit silly i honestly think that this all just needs to be stopped it all just went

29:09tits up i went from zero to a hundred she's got a lot of past trauma from getting lied to cheated on

29:16so any little thing i do she jumps on it thinks i'm lying straight away

29:21i'm so glad paula was there to witness that

29:24you could feel the energy just switch yeah it sounds so ridiculous like it's such a

29:36nothing thing to be made into such a big thing you haven't done anything wrong yeah the whole

29:42thing annoys me i can't lie when you know there's absolutely nothing there she either trusts you or she

29:46doesn't i think after the last week although it's been rough that to me has told me that there are

29:54feelings there yeah because you know me i wouldn't i wouldn't get your back wouldn't be up straight

29:59away with something like that if you didn't have feelings for her although i've been completely honest

30:03about certain things not being there like the physical element not being there it's because i'm

30:07not going to like fake something or pretend something's there when it's not all i need from

30:12her in certain situations it's just a bit of understanding and we can move on from it but i

30:16don't get that from her always i'm trying to get past my head that she's not my type and i am sometimes

30:23she just feel that back though no i don't feel that back she's telling me all the things that are wrong

30:28and i'm like okay i'm sorry i've made you feel that way and like i'm making sure i'm listening to her

30:33and then i'm coming to her i'm like listen i don't want to fall out of you you mean a lot to me

30:36give me a hug she doesn't want it but what's she giving to this if you're saying that you're meeting

30:42her in the middle and telling her you can hear her and you're listening and you want to work on this

30:46or work on that what more does she actually want from you it gets to a point where like if you're

30:51giving so much for however many weeks and you're getting nothing back why am i bothering

31:00for me i'm literally trying every day and that's why i'm getting to a point now where i'm like i've got

31:04to be in this with someone who's got my back and i didn't feel like i had that from her this week

31:16the sun has finally come out while we're on our hike there she is

31:24my wonderful wife the newly married couples are almost halfway through their honeymoons

31:30i don't know how many dogs have so much power they're pretty fast didn't they yeah right

31:36it is so romantic being in the sleds it's a massive bonus that i've got april there to keep me warm

32:20finding it so far so good yeah um must be a bit of adjustment for you though i think it would have

32:25been if i was matched with someone that i didn't get on with yeah then i think we'd have a few hiccups

33:19i think but my worry is about bringing anything forward from my past relationships i hope i don't

33:29so i guess it's only natural yeah you can't really help it but yeah hopefully you know all the scars are

33:36healed and can move on but yeah i guess it is a worry that he doesn't ask a lot of questions

33:52build a strong connection without having depth deeper chats need to come in

34:10hello i woke up a little bit stressed after yesterday it's getting a bit boring now all this

44:14emotional connections and you know depth in a relationship is really important to me and

44:19i don't know how you build on that when i'm just doing all the talking

44:22it's obviously something that i need to work on so so i think that stems back to

44:32how i've lived my life for the last five years i've almost

44:35you've met the hot dog that's a way of me expressing myself to the world without letting

44:43other people in what do you mean it's like a facade it's this extroverted

44:49mask that i put on i feel like it's just a coping mechanism

44:53it's very easy to connect with people while i'm being this extroverted bombastic guy that just

45:00goes around carefree i have tried really really hard you have met leo but i do rely on some of

45:07the techniques that i've used in the past to give me a little bit more confidence what sort of

45:12techniques are you on about like is it stuff that you want to dive into or you wonder well no i think

45:17it's just me being extra extroverted so what do you think naturally you're a bit more of an introvert

45:22than you let on there's definitely a bit of me that is a lot more introverted see that's good to

45:29know that's what i want to know no this is good this is progress i am very much an extrovert well

45:36that is just me but i don't need to date somebody who is like me him being an introverted extrovert

45:44is completely fine that's who he is it's reassuring for me to know that you are wanting

45:52you know the depth in a relationship it's not because i don't want to know it's just it's been a

45:58long time since i've been with someone that i like and yeah you like me though i do like you

46:14because it's just been so long and i've been hurt in the past but the more and more time we spend

47:32but we've grown since when i first met her till now we've come a long way i feel like you would
