14 October - National Morning Forecast presented by Alex Deakin
Transcript
00:00Good morning.
00:01There's little to shift the weather around at the moment, which means what you're waking
00:05up with you'll probably stick with for most of the day, which means for some it's a little
00:09dank over parts of the Midlands, eastern England, the cloud thick enough here for a little bit
00:15of drizzle to come and go through the day.
00:17Western areas favored for breaks in the clouds, but there is also some mist and fog around,
00:21a few dense patches here and there, clearing through the morning, and then sunny spells
00:25again for a good part of Scotland, West Wales, and southwest England should also see some
00:31blue sky at times.
00:33Elsewhere, grey is definitely the colour and it makes such a difference to the feel.
00:38Temperatures generally 12 to 15 degrees, but if you get the sunshine, it feels quite pleasant,
00:43maybe 16 across southwest Wales and southwest England.
00:48With light winds, as I said, that doesn't feel too bad at all, but where it stays glum, it
00:52does feel on the cool side.
00:54And many areas will keep the cloud through the night, a few more showers just drifting
00:57in over the Northern Isles, perhaps maybe the Western Isles, and still the cloud thick
01:01enough at times for some drizzly conditions over parts of eastern England.
01:05Maybe a few more breaks in the far south that will allow temperatures to dip perhaps down
01:09into single digits, but where we keep the cloud, temperatures likely to hold up in double
01:13figures.
01:14Wednesday is a very similar story, we've still got a lot of clouds, most places will be dry,
01:20but still parts of eastern England susceptible to some drizzle tending to come and go.
01:24A bit of a breeze at times around East Anglia and down towards Kent, and perhaps a bit more
01:29of a breeze over the Northern Isles with one or two showers likely here.
01:32Again, it will be Western Scotland, West Wales, southwest England that will be favoured for
01:37a little bit of sunshine.
01:38Temperatures maybe not quite so high tomorrow, still generally close to average 11 to 15 Celsius,
01:44and again it will feel pleasant if you get the sunshine, not too clever if it does stay
01:49fairly glum.
01:50And we're keeping with the area of high pressure really for the rest of this working week, sitting
01:54around maybe edging to the north, and then perhaps towards the end of the week, perhaps
02:00edging a little bit back further eastwards, which could just allow these weather fronts
02:04to start to change things up, particularly the second half of the weekend.
02:09But certainly for most of the week, high pressure keeping things mostly cloudy and mostly dry.
02:13For more details on that, you'll want to catch Aidan's Week Ahead video available on our
02:19YouTube channel.
