Chief of Defence Staff Air Vice Marshall Darryl Daniel has been sent home.

According to a release from the Ministry of Defence Captain Steve Don Riguel Polo of the Coast Guard has been appointed to head the country's armed services with immediate effect.

Polo was Commanding Officer of the Coast Guard.
