00:00What should you talk about on a first date? On a first date, the conversation can actually be
00:03quite simple and easy if you focus on the right thing. The first thing you should be doing is
00:07just focusing on your own curiosity because you want to know about her, right? You don't know
00:11about your date, you're trying to get to know her, so let curiosity drive your questions. And
00:15everybody loves talking about themselves, so if you make her the focal point of the conversation,
00:20you get her to open up and share about herself, talk about herself, she is actually ironically
00:24going to like you more because she's talking about her favorite subject, which is herself.
00:28Now, of course, there's going to be back and forth, it's not going to be 100% her. Generally
00:31speaking, on a conversation and a first date, it'll be about 60-40, with you talking about
00:3640% of the time and her talking about 60% of the time. So get her to open up and share about
00:40something that's significant and important to her. And you can start with the most mundane,
00:44simple topic there is, which is her work. I know, that is boring. But after she tells you
00:48what she does, if you ask the right follow-up question, that's where you can actually learn
00:51about her. Plus, you can branch off into other topics which are not work-related, as long as
00:55you're listening to her and not being self-conscious and thinking about yourself or thinking about
00:59what you should say next. So after you find out what she does, just find out why she does
01:03it, like what got her into that field of work. Work is something significant in all of our
01:07lives, even when we don't like our jobs. And if she really doesn't like her job and she's
01:10just doing it to pay her bills, she doesn't have a career, find out what she would do if
01:13she could do anything. And that's where you're going to learn about her desires and her
01:16motivations in life. What do you like talking about in your first date? Leave a comment below.
01:20And until next time, conquer and win.
