00:15I don't know. Now the last anime video I did

00:22It was talking about Pokemon. Now this one

00:26It's a bit similar, but not entirely the last one was focused on

00:33The last one was about a good anime that basically ruined itself, you know because the studio didn't

00:39Want to put it down, you know, they want to make sure it's

00:43Going for as long as you can make as much money as you can

00:47This case, however

00:50I'm gonna be talking about an anime that

00:52That actually did run came and go with note it came and ended it's right scores

01:01but

01:03Apparently because of you know

01:06Certain

01:08Stuff with studios and whatnot. They couldn't stay down, right? They just had to bring it back

01:16and

01:18Basically disrespect the whole goddamn thing and

01:22There's one and we that basically comes to mind that does this in spectacular fashion

01:28And that is Dragon Ball Super and the whole Dragon Ball franchise

01:33but

01:34Now

01:35I know some of you guys might probably be more mixed on this whole thing because

01:41unlike Pokemon and

01:43Yu-Gi-Oh and the others that I've mentioned

01:45Dragon Ball Super is actually more positively

01:50Reviewed by fans. I think that's more positive and negative in terms of the audience reception

01:56Now if you guys remember when Dragon Ball started, this goes all the way back to

02:011985

02:036-ish

02:04It came out

02:05Now unfortunately unlike the other animes

02:10That you know start off with the merchandise

02:14Paving the way for the anime to be made

02:17Dragon Ball started off from

02:20Manga first

02:21Then anime and then

02:23Everything else

02:25And that's basically been

02:26The powerful course for a lot of animes today

02:30You know

02:31The manga is popular enough to get an anime series

02:34And then if it's good enough it gets to continue it and

02:38All of my stuff you know

02:39And we've seen that with a lot actually

02:42A lot of people doesn't really know it yet but

02:46Dragon Ball is actually more influential

02:50To pop culture and industry as a whole than people would likely think

02:55Dragon Ball 3 in particular as well since that's the more

02:59Popular of the um franchise series

03:02You know there's Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball 3, Dragon Ball GT and then now you have Dragon Ball Super

03:07Although I notice a lot of people don't really consider GT as canon since

03:12The original creator wasn't involved in GT

03:15For me personally I would say I find GT was okay enough

03:18It's just there's certain things about it from then to now

03:21You know all of that came and gone and it finished in like about 1996-97 ish

03:30Did it stop?

03:31Yeah so Dragon Ball Z is much older than people actually realize

03:35It this basically ended um before

03:39Pokemon and Yugi and all these others

03:41The more modern ones started

03:43Dragon Ball Z ended before those came on the scene

03:46You look at other animes like

03:49Real popular ones like Naruto Bleach One Piece

03:55And the the most popular one out now

03:59You know My Hero Academia

04:01All these other animes they all

04:03Have joint inspiration from Dragon Ball Z in some shape or form

04:08Whether it's you know character design or writing

04:12You can actually see

04:13Dragon Ball Z they are you know taking a picture of Dragon Ball Z

04:17That's largely because of how well the anime was back then in those days

04:22Dragon Ball Z came out back when

04:25Anime wasn't nearly as big as it was

04:28You know it was still the anime was still trying to kick off in terms of like

04:33You know a long withstanding and such

04:37The only ones I've noticed back then during the Dragon Ball days was

04:42Was basically like like one seasons or

04:46Basically an anime movie

04:47They didn't really have any long going animes

04:50Because they have it now they have like seasons and

04:53Plenty of episodes to go around

04:56They didn't really have much back during Dragon Ball days

04:58So when Dragon Ball came out and it got you know attention and like

05:01Man actually makes so much episodes of it

05:03It was a big deal

05:04Looking at it there's so much memorable stuff that you can

05:09Look at from Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z

05:12Even some parts of GT is actually memorable

05:15You know the whole Super Saiyan 4 concept

05:20I actually dug it to be honest

05:21I didn't really think it was bad

05:23I mean it showed a lot of natural progression in a way

05:28The um other transformations didn't

05:30Like you actually see his whole body

05:33Changing along with the um

05:36In the new form and not just his hair stand alone

05:39So it actually looked more like

05:43An actual transformation

05:44Although some people say it was more of an evolution in a sense

05:47Because you know he turns into the um

05:51The Ozaru you know Giant Ape form first

05:54And then it's condensed into the Super Saiyan 4 form

06:00And also the next part about it too is that

06:02With the Super Saiyan 4

06:04You don't need to go into Super Saiyan 3 to get there

06:08And that was shown when Vegeta was able to turn off the form itself

06:11It's so it's not running in line with the actual transformation

06:15It's just um

06:17Some sort of

06:18More different form in itself

06:22More of like an evolution as some people would say

06:24So I understand why some people would say it's an evolution

06:27But I still think it was a pretty good idea

06:29A pretty good concept

06:31And I would definitely take a Super Saiyan 4 over the

06:34The weird crap that they're doing now in Super

06:36I mean like man

06:37They have this whole theory now it's called Super

06:40Saiyan card model or something like that

06:42Here's the thing that I don't like about it

06:45It's not that I think it's bad

06:47I think it's okay in terms of the writing

06:50But in terms of the execution I think it's done bad

06:52The Super Saiyan God mode whatever form of this

06:54It's only changing the hair color

06:57You know you don't see an actual

06:59A change in terms of the whole body figure

07:03Or you know the facial structure or anything like that

07:06But the past previous forms

07:09The hair just went from like yellow to

07:12What red or blue or green or something

07:14I mean like it was just like come on guys

07:18I mean I know back in the day there was a lot of you know

07:23Fan tales about Super Saiyan 5 and 6 and 7 and stuff

07:27And some of those actually

07:30Did show you know different hair colors

07:33But those are fan tales you know

07:36Those ones really taken seriously

07:38This is actually Dragon Ball Super

07:40It's something that's from the original creator

07:43Of the first two he comes back

07:45And this is what he gives us

07:47And I was just really turned off of it

07:51You know and that's just one aspect of it

07:55When it comes down to the actual writing

07:57The actual quality of the show

08:00That's a whole other story

08:01And suffice to say

08:03Even that service is done well

08:05I remember about a couple years back

08:07Like back in our 2017-2016 ish

08:10This is like well over a year after it came out

08:14And you know the English dubs

08:18Started coming out to coincide with it

08:21I started watching them and

08:23I remember from the first time I watched them

08:25I noticed something similar to GT

08:28It starts off similar to GT you know

08:30With them introducing

08:33They reintroduce the character

08:34They're older and whatever

08:35And I was like okay okay

08:37Let's you know get this one

08:39What the thing that kind of did put me off was that

08:43When I was watching

08:44Dragon Ball Superdive

08:46I started watching it

08:47It took a long while to actually start picking up

08:49To be honest

08:50And I really didn't like that

08:52I noticed by the time I was like 10 episodes in

08:56I was like already

08:57I was already bored and feeling to check out

09:00All the whole thing

09:00But I didn't actually

09:01I stayed

09:02I kept watching some more

09:04And it did not really hold up for me

09:06It just

09:08It just fell apart

09:09At some point I just got

09:11Fed up of watching the whole thing

09:13I think that was like well

09:16Past um

09:17The first season of like episode 50 something-ish

09:20I think I was on

09:21Oh yeah another thing too

09:22Dragon Ball doesn't really go in seasons

09:24Like the typical you know

09:2520, 25, 30-ish

09:27That animes have been accustomed to nowadays

09:30Dragon Ball doesn't do that

09:31So yeah

09:32They're just basically ongoing

09:34Although I would

09:35You know

09:35Bracketed into seasons

09:37You know

09:3725, 30 episodes

09:39That

09:40That's what I would probably call it

09:42But

09:43Nothing is really wrong with ongoing though

09:45Because

09:46A lot of other animes actually does that

09:49Naruto does it

09:50And then

09:52Hell

09:52I think Bleach used to do it as well

09:55Popland

09:58And even One Piece does it

10:00It's still ongoing

10:01I know those

10:02Are going well

10:03But in the case of Dragon Ball Super

10:05There's just

10:06There's so much of the

10:08Problems I remember from GT

10:10Or what they was doing

10:12With that one you know

10:13And they brought back the characters

10:15And then you had

10:16Gohan comes back

10:17But he's weak again

10:19And Piccolo's just useless again

10:22And you know

10:23All the other stuff

10:24And you know

10:26Like

10:27Curlin and

10:29Tien and Yamcha and them

10:30They're basically useless

10:31You know

10:32They just stand up there

10:33Watching

10:34On the sidelines

10:35And I saw

10:36Super repeating the same

10:38Old tropes with these characters

10:40I just really get more pissed off

10:41Because I was like

10:42Dude

10:43We've seen this happen

10:44In Dragon Ball GT

10:47And

10:48Now here we are

10:49With Super

10:49He got the original creator back

10:51And he got like

10:53Probably a better budget

10:54Because you know

10:54The animation style

10:56It's more

10:59Higher quality
