00:00hey guys welcome back to the prizes once again this is your host and a gamer and today's video

00:12I'm going to be doing a movie review right now this time I'm going to be reviewing a format

00:19I've been honest with you for a while and this is the Bumblebee movie right now let's be honest

00:27here when when you heard that you know the film got very positive reviews it was expected to happen

00:38you know because you could see in the low bar that was set with the b-formers you know all the

00:43transformers had microbeaded you could start to call b-formers because it doesn't resemble transformers

00:49and so when I saw that it was like oh like 97% of them to me today okay that's pretty good but

00:57I'm going to still reserve my judgment when I see the movie because I've been burned a lot when

01:04reading movie reviews lately you know there's a lot of films at 90 something percent on Rotten Tomatoes

01:11that are not even 90 something percent worth it you know like some of them like the last Jedi being one

01:20for example definitely not a 90 percent at least from my point of view and but that's not what I'm going to

01:30address here and this film it has or at least a different director by Travis Knight I am not

01:38familiar with Travis Knight all I know is that he directed animation films in the past I haven't seen

01:44him but I heard they were good films so immediately at the top of my head I was like okay he has a good

01:51chance here he directed animation but he did some really all-rounded good animation films and you

02:01know compared to Michael Bay only the first transformers considered good and when I was watching the

02:09trailers I also commented that even though this film obviously it's rebuilding the franchise I thought

02:15based on the trailer that hey it's still going to at least connect to the first one since the first

02:24one is the only all-round good entry in the franchise that everyone enjoyed but I'm kind of iffy on that

02:33though but I understand it but no I'm when I went in to watch the movie artists I was reading reviews and

02:39I was hearing people saying a lot of times where the main point of discussion was ET being the comparison

02:47to this film and thinking about it and we don't see the comparison here you know mind me I not really a fan

02:58of ET because I haven't really watched the film at least I seen bits of it so I don't even know much

03:05about the films like this I can't really see that comparison but I see this film was all-around good

03:12for mom it's a far cry to see this is the best in the franchise I mean it's better than the sequel

03:20because that's a damn show you know in the way how it's set up the character it introduced these other

03:29characters you know and how they showed Cybertron you know it's more accurate to the source material in

03:36the real it's or it's looks how it's presented oh they address them you know the story aspects of it

03:46and I really like that but um and one thing I noticed is that you know considering the

03:52fact what Transformers was then to now with Michael Bay um management um

04:01I just there's something about the Michael Bay film that I really enjoyed at least the first two

04:10and not counting the ones with Mark Wahlberg those were terrible you know I didn't really like the

04:16recasting with the channel above it was fine and this certain thing about that I really enjoyed

04:23you know he had very entertaining very messy very convoluted very weird with some of the writing

04:34but it was enjoyable and mind me bumblebee is not as enjoyable in that aspect you know it's more

04:42story driven for once which is very good um it gives us um more insight on what the franchise really

04:52is about you know what these characters are about really you know the history of them and it pays more

05:00respect to the Transformers fans but I noticed that some bits of it um it kind of falls flat um first of all

05:10like the main character Hailey Steinfeld's character Charlie I think she did a good performance right um

05:18I don't say it's like Oscar winning but it's it's really up there in terms of very good performance

05:24um she really sold her um that the acting you know of making you feel the relationship between

05:32her character and bumblebee character um John Cena like the next main character um

05:37um I don't think he's all that innocent um he was a bit okay I guess um there were some scenes with him

05:45that was all right there were some scenes with him that kind of felt flat um and I noticed that

05:52he was doing a lot of his um regular WWE character um gimmick like he copied some of that you know

05:59humor dialogue into here which is okay um he doesn't have that sort of like you know that click for

06:09action stuff from what I can see you know like how Dwayne Johnson has it he can he can put Dwayne

06:16Johnson in any film and he's like damn but John Cena doesn't have that right so yes

06:23a character that's there to just basically um fill the the um the story yes um Optimus Prime I like the

06:33design here um now the design of the characters for me it was never a problem in um you know the Michael

06:42B and some of that because um considering the fact that I'm not a huge Transformers G1 fan you know um I

06:50grew up watching Michael B Transformers so that's why I was able to like you know enjoy those and

06:57didn't really see much problems with it right so um yeah but I still much enjoy you know all these

07:04characters you know look and the feel of them um a lot of the things that I probably had to get into

07:12the detractor of the film like if I want to really get into specifics of it is some scenes kind

07:20of powerful right and most of it is usually on these and certain characters that don't really have

07:28very much in them you know I mean most of it is like you know for progress in a story right so

07:37it's more build up and more you know explanations there's not as much action in there as you'd expect

07:45it to be so there's that aspect going for it which is fine it's just not as entertaining as you know

07:54the chance at least the first two you know um I won't count those last two Transformers again after

08:02seeing them um but overall this is a very good film like I said it's not that big as critics are saying it

08:15to be I guess most of them are probably giving it extra reasons probably because of the fact that

08:21it's an actual chance almost as an actual good film which I understand but it's not that good okay so

08:31where would I stand on this film um how did I say it um

08:37I would give it an 8.3 out of 10 right it's very good it's about on the same level as the first

08:51Transformers from 2007 um it's a little bit better in some aspects but um that's about it I can say it

09:02um I don't really want to spoil it for the movie though if I get into plot points and whatnot because

09:09I know a lot of you guys probably haven't seen it as yet so um overall my stance on the film it's a

09:14good film but don't expect it to be as perfect as what the critics are making it ought to be because

09:22like I said there are quite some times where the film does feel a bit oh okay you know it's more like

09:30those telefilms where you can sit down and you know you can enjoy it as being a all-around good

09:37film that's something where you can go you know you go crazy hyper the seat and whatnot right easy going

09:47also well written well directed too right that's pretty much uh some of the easy going well written

09:57well directed for once right um but that was some of my review here guys like I said I don't want to

10:04like go into this poison thing but I also want to address you know the criticism with the films and

10:11the critics you know considering the fact that this is is like a first-time chance of making a

10:17turnaround after all those bad years of bad sequels right I really want to touch on that but um you

10:24can let me know in the comments section down below what you think about the film did you enjoy it or
