00:07across central Lancashire and the Fouled Coast. First up in Preston, the Encounter Festival
00:13returns again on Saturday September 20th. Taking place every year at the end of September,
00:18Encounter Festival celebrates the breadth of the county's diverse cultural offer
00:23with high quality and high profile arts. Now in its 10th year, Saturday's launch features
00:29an extravaganza bringing music, motion and magic to the streets of Preston.
00:34As well as the festival village around the flag market, there will of course be the
00:38flagship torchlight procession in the evening too. Also in Preston, the Preston Pub Festival
00:45returns between Friday September 19th and Sunday September 21st. Born from the shared passion of 11
00:52local pub owners, this festival is a dedicated weekend to honour Preston's rich pub heritage
00:57and the diverse range of venues that makes the city's life so special. This unique event brings
01:03together a wide variety of pubs and bars, each with its own distinct character, creating a one-of-a-kind
01:10experience for festival goers. The 12 venues taking part this year are the Black Horse, the Guild Ale
01:16House, Plug-in Taps, The Orchard, Plough, Chain House Tap Room, The Moorbrook, The Continental,
01:23Bar Pintos, The Old Vic, Wine Down and Winkley Street Ale House.
01:29In Chorley, the comedian Kay Curd comes to the Chorley Theatre on Wednesday September 17th.
01:36The stand-up sensation and social media star returns with his highly anticipated brand new tour
01:42called What's O'Curd. The show starts at 8pm and tickets are still available, costing £20 each.
01:49Over on the Fouled Coast, the comedian Harry Hill brings his latest show to the Blackpool Grand
01:56Theatre on Saturday September 20th. Called New Bits and Greatest Hits, the show will see the Saturday
02:03night legend starching up his big collar once more for his diamond jubilee lap of honour, celebrating 60
02:10glorious years of fun, laughter and low-level disruption. The show starts at 7.30pm and children
02:17under 9pm will not be permitted entry. Limited tickets are still available, with prices starting
02:22from £35.20. Finally, in Livam, Rufus Comedy Club returns to Lauford Pavilion on Thursday September 18th.
02:33Hosted by the theatre's regular MC, Phil Walker, expect a night of side-splitting fun featuring some of
02:39the best comedy talents in live comedy. Headlining this month are The Raymond and Timpicks Review,
02:46and they will be joined by Ecuador's number one comedian El Pernell and the mad magician himself,
02:52El Baldino. The show runs between half 7 and half 10 and tickets are £14.
