00:06Week across central Lancashire and the Fart Coast.
00:10First up in Preston, the RAF Preston Town Show is on between Friday June 6th and Sunday
00:17June 8th.
00:19The RAF is landing in the heart of the city at Ave Nirmamilla Park for an un-missable
00:24weekend of adventure, excitement and hands-on activities for all ages.
00:28Expect the chance to step inside the planes to get some aircraft experience and take
00:34part in RAF-inspired physical challenges and survival challenges.
00:39There will also be live music and performances from an RAF band and career talks from RAF
00:44professionals.
00:46The event runs between 9am and 4.30pm and is through.
00:51Also taking place in Preston, Jazz in the Park returns on Saturday June 7th.
00:56Jazz in the Park is a free live music event that brings together diversity and community
01:02through music and art.
01:04Situated in the beautiful surroundings of Winkley Square, the event is part of the Preston
01:09Jazz and Improvisational Festival and takes place annually, curating some of the finest
01:14local, national and international jazz and jazz-infused artists.
01:19Jazz in the Park will run between 11am and 3pm.
01:22In Chorley, a 1940s weekend is being held at Heskin Hall between Saturday June 7th and Sunday
01:30June 8th.
01:32This annual event is a celebration and commemoration of all things 40s.
01:38Expect live entertainment, including music and re-enactments, stalls, vehicles, displays and
01:44food and drink, including a special garden terrace pizza zone.
01:48The event runs between 11am and 4pm each day and is free to attend.
01:56Over on the Fowled Coast, Grease the Musical is on at the Blackpool Grand Theatre between
02:00Wednesday June 4th and Saturday June 14th.
02:04This all-new musical spectacular, co-produced with Pitclockery Festival Theatre, features
02:10plenty of iconic songs, high-energy dance routines and cool costumes.
02:14Join Sandy, Danny and the rest of Rydal High as they navigate the trials and tribulations
02:20of high school with their respective cliques.
02:24The Sassy Pink Ladies and the Greaser Gang Burger Palace Boys, adding plenty of laughs, dramas
02:29and unforgettable musical moments along the way.
02:33The show runs between 7.30pm and 10pm each night and tickets start from £15.50.
02:39Finally, the Blackpool Wire and Fylde Pride Festival returns between Friday June 6th and
02:47Sunday June 8th.
02:49Promising to be bigger, better, louder and prouder than ever, this spectacular celebration
02:54is heading to a new home this year, the iconic Blackpool Tower Festival headland right on
02:59the famous comedy carpet.
03:00The Friday event, running between 6pm and 10pm, promises to be a 90s dance party to remember,
03:08with an incredible line-up of hit recording artists and dance anthem legends.
03:13Saturday sees the Pride parade and more star-studded entertainment, with celebrations running between
03:181pm and 8pm.
03:20Sunday then sees Liberty X headline a closing party that's on between 12pm and 6pm.
03:25Full weekend tickets are £50 and 7pm, but day tickets are also available.
