Former West Indies Captain Brian Lara will be picking up his bat again.

Not for the West Indies you eager fans.

Instead, he is expected to play in the North Zone T20 Festival. The West Indies legend has confirmed his participation in the competition for Harvard, which bowls off on Wednesday, September 10, at the Diego Martin Sporting Complex.

00:00A release from the North Zone Association indicated that the Prince of Port of Spain, Brian Lara, will be making a return to Harvard Club where his journey first began.
00:09He will play his opening match against Ebony Sports and Cultural Club on Saturday. It's not certain what number he will come into bat. At 55, he is still promising to thrill fans.
00:19North Zone President Winston Sobers indicated, quote, it's history meeting the present. Lara's return to Harvard is a celebration of community, talent and the magic that first made us fall in love with cricket. End quote.
00:33Harvard has been drawn in Group 1 alongside Combine All-Stars, Santa Cruz Sports, Barataria Ball Players and Ebony Sports.
00:41They clash against Combine All-Stars on September 16th and defending champion Santa Cruz Sports on September 23rd.
00:50Group 2 includes Glenora Sports, Northside Future Stars, last year's runners-up Savannah Boys, Woog Malatry CCC and Shannon Sports.
00:59The action begins with a clash between Barataria Ball Players and Santa Cruz Sports under lights at 6.30pm on the opening night.
01:07The semi-finals takes place on September 27th and the grand finale on September 28th.
