00:00Throw a dart, hit the bullseye. It's the early line. That's how we get down. It's hour number
00:04one. The energy is high. It's Sonny Wright's out. It's Joe Ranieri. It's the Sports Grid Network.
00:07Setting the table for the rest of your Sports Grid day. Now, the New York Giants drafted a
00:11quarterback in Jackson Dart, hopefully thinking that, you know what? Sooner than later, he might
00:15be able to be our starting quarterback, but he was surrounded by veterans. Brought in Jameis
00:18Winston and also Russell Wilson. Russell Wilson's going to be the starter day one for the New York
00:23Giants as they take the field against the Washington Commanders. Now, the question comes
00:26up is, was Jackson Dart ready to go for the preseason? Was he ready to go for a training
00:30camp? He looked pretty good in those games, in training camp, and also in preseason games.
00:35Enough to elevate him now, Joe, as the number two overall quarterback for the New York Giants.
00:38That looks good in my eyes because that means the kid's been ready, the kid's been performing,
00:43and has the backing of his teammates and also the coaching staff. You promised Russell Wilson
00:46to be the starting quarterback, and we're not saying that Jackson Dart should absolutely start
00:50on game number one. I think it's the right decision to say, I don't think we're going to
00:53be that good this year. Let's just, Russ, take some of those bullets. By the time we're out of
00:58the playoff picture, and maybe close to being out of the playoff picture, we'll let Jackson Dart
01:02spin. So the question for me, Joe Ranieri, is not, does Jackson Dart deserve to be the number two?
01:06When do we actually see Jackson Dart as QB1 for the Giants?
01:11Well, and also, you got to give the Giants credit here because from the get-go, even when they
01:17signed him, and don't forget, they brought in Jameis, and they, you know, they brought in Russ
01:21way before they drafted Jackson Dart, but they have been steadfast, Donnie, from day one,
01:27explaining that, listen, he's not going to be the starting quarterback. Like, they have actually,
01:32and I can't believe this, they've had a plan in place for how to develop him, and they have been
01:38very upfront about that, and they have stuck to that plan. Now, they did test him a lot in preseason.
01:45Dable threw him in, in a lot of different situations. I mean, it's not like they didn't test him.
01:51And again, he's not the starter. He's going to be the quarterback, too. And quite honestly,
01:55I don't think you do that unless he's got the respect of that locker room and the players around
02:01him, because at some point, Russ is probably going to either get hurt or be so awful. Don't forget,
02:08Joe Schoen and, and Dable, that's a pretty hot seat right now with the Giants. So any signs of
02:16failure from Russ and Jackson Dart will be the, hopefully, what saves Dable and Schoen and their
02:23jobs this season. Yeah, the vets in the locker room, Joe, like they can sniff out a fraud right
02:28away. Like if a kid's coming in high and muddy, like let's just say a Johnny Manziel, like the guy's
02:32talented, but he puts in zero effort off the field and sabotages himself. You come in, you work hard,
02:37and you put up the results. Those players will follow quickly, specifically at a position like
02:41quarterback. We need to be the leader of the team, certainly showing that in the locker room.
02:44We'll see when he gets in there as QB one in this 2025 season, you know, he's going to be a starting
02:48wide receiver in Jacksonville. Hey, it's Travis Hunter. That's no surprise there. But the question
02:52to me always was, would he start on defense and play offense or would he start on offense and play
02:58defense? And it looks like they're going to use him as a part-time cornerback, full-time wide receiver.
03:03Do we agree with that Joe Ranieri? One of the best cornerbacks in the draft
03:06is a part-time cornerback and a full-time wide receiver.
03:10Absolutely. I agree with it because he serves a much better purpose offensively and a weapon for
03:18the guy you spent over $200 million to that might be the biggest fraud and bust in all of the NFL
03:24in the draft here over the last, oh, I don't know, two decades. And that is saying a lot, but I like it
03:31because, listen, you can throw him out there in certain packages and things along those lines
03:36where he'll be fine. But yeah, I think he does a much better job and is much more suited to help
03:44them as a weapon on the outside more than a, because who knows if he, is he really a shutdown corner
03:50against other NFL wide receivers? Or was he just really that good because he played Colorado State?
03:56So I think he's a better wide receiver now than he is a defensive back and more value in that spot.
04:03Taking the hits instead of delivering the hits here. We'll see how it plays out, but certainly
04:07ultra talented kid, great wide receiver, great cornerback. We'll see how this maturation process
04:12continues throughout the 2025 season. But he will begin with that workload on offense and probably
04:16chip in on passing situations and late game situations where you have to throw that nickel
04:20or dime defense out there. He'd certainly be a great addition to that Jacksonville defense.
04:25You know, who else is going to be a starting wide receiver as a young cat in the NFL?
04:28Mark, Matthew Golden, starting wide receiver on the Packers unofficial week one depth chart here.
04:33The Packers look to have a better wide receiver core than last year. The Packers looking to have
04:37a better defensive stance this year than last year and had a pretty good defense as well.
04:41Things looking up for the Packers, including some explosive young wide receivers.
04:46Yeah. And of course that made Romeo Dobbs, right? Expendable because, well, quite, I mean,
04:52we have been talking about a pretty good group of young wide receivers now for Jordan Love in Green
04:59Bay for a couple of years. The problem was they always, they couldn't stay healthy, right? And that
05:03was the issue. But now you had another one that has elevated himself to, uh, to a number one spot
05:09there. And yeah, they got some weapons out. Forget about Parsons and the defense. They are stacked
05:15offensively. It should be an interesting run here to see how they all fit together.
05:21Now's the time the NFL starts to reward some of those players to use up that salary cap that you
05:26can flip over into the next season. The Bucks did it here with left tackle. Luke Kadecki
05:29reached an agreement on a four-year extension worth $88 million. They lock up the big man on the right
05:34side here. Why? Because the left tackle, a little bit shaky to start the season, but not the right tackle
05:39down there in Tampa. Yeah. What do we always say, right? There's a couple of positions that
05:45you need to spend the money on and you need to secure. And if you do, then chances are you're
05:51pretty good. You better protect your quarterback. You better have a quarterback to protect and you
05:56better be able to get to the quarterback. And those three positions, lock them up, Donnie,
06:00and you're, you're in pretty good shape in the NFL. A couple of the quick details here throughout
06:05the rest here. You got Gabe Davis back to the Buffalo Bills. We talked about that in seven and
06:09seven and Derek Harmon to miss week one versus the Jets here. The Steelers, you know, down a man on
06:14that front line, but still a talented, talented defense set up for week. Number one, we're getting
06:18so close to this. I can't, by the way, that game there, I have a lot of interest to see how that
06:22Jets offense is going to go up against that Steelers defense. And more importantly, how Aaron
06:26Rogers is going to be able to deliver a victory possibly and say, ha ha Jets. Now with a real
06:30organization, I can pick up victories here. I can't wait for this stuff. Yeah. Well, I'm more
06:35interested on the flip side there as I'm more interested to see how, if Aaron Rogers gets up
06:41after getting hit by this Jets defense, because make no mistake. It's not like Pittsburgh revamp
06:48that offensive line. It's been an issue for a couple of years and the Jets. Yeah. They'll be
06:53coming after good old Aaron Rogers. Let's see how that works out. Hmm. How about he returns back to
06:59the Meadowlands after three plays goes down with another Achilles injury. My goodness. Would that
07:03write the storylines at this point? But we'll see if he can stay upright and healthy for the season,
07:07because as always Steelers aren't about winning championships anymore, Joe. It's about being over
07:11500. Maybe Aaron Rogers can help them do that. One more sleep till the NFL kicks off in Philadelphia,
07:18the world champion Philadelphia Eagles taking on the Dallas Cowboys. And by the way, that spread
07:23getting a little bit outrageous now at eight and a half. We'll get to that in just a few moments,
07:26but at the start of an NFL season, a lot of betters out there. Like, you know what? Let me just take
07:31the better team out there. Moneyline parlays here. Take them straight up. It doesn't matter.
07:35Did you know last year, Joe, 195 and 77 was the record for the favorites straight up last year
07:43against their counterparts, the underdogs. The favorites had their way last year. Now in betting
07:48and also in the history of sports, things usually get back to their level. Is this going to be the
07:53return of a lot more upsets or are the favorites continue to beat down the underdogs here in 2025?
07:59Yeah. If I remember correctly, it was one of the most profitable public betting seasons in the NFL
08:07in a long time. And those happen, but you know what else happens, Sonny, is they very rarely
08:13have back to back winning seasons where the public cash is out. But, you know, September football is a
08:22little bit different than October, November, December NFL football. So let's see what we get early
08:29on. There's a lot of different trends that tell us in September, whatever we see in September,
08:35you don't spend a lot of time on it because that has nothing to do. These football teams will not
08:40be the same come October and November, but remains to be seen if the public is going to be cashing as
08:46many tickets as they did last year.
08:48Now that two public quarterbacks going to tee it up tomorrow night,
08:51Dak Prescott on America's team here, all those commercials. Now there's Jalen Hurts,
08:55the new big dog on the block, two Super Bowls in the last couple of years, winning a Super Bowl,
09:00winning a Super Bowl MVP. He wants his respect. And he can certainly claim that once again on
09:06Thursday night. If you're looking at some of those prop bets here for Jalen Hurts,
09:09his passing yardage number, 212 and a half. Dak Prescott, 248 and a half. If we're taking a look
09:15at throwing touchdown passes over one and a half, plus money on both guys in this game. Dak Prescott,
09:21plus 112. Jalen Hurts, plus 120. Who's the better quarterback tomorrow night? I'm not saying he's
09:25going to win the game. Who's going to perform better here to try to take down some of those
09:29props in your opinion, Joe?
09:31Well, I mean, listen, we told you that we're not expecting to sweat out an under in this game.
09:37We have seen the line move not only towards the Eagles after the Micah Parsons trade, but we've also
09:42seen the total start creeping up, too, to what, about 47 and a half, somewhere in that ballpark
09:49there. And listen, Dak, for all his faults, has done very well and has been an ATS machine when it
10:00comes to the NFC East. He has covered a ton of games. He wins these games. He stays within there. He's
10:07very good against his divisional opponents. It's later in the season that we tend to get
10:13issues with him. So I still say, I mean, at this point, Donnie, we're getting to the point where it's
10:19so, now it's eight, eight and a half. You know, at some point, I still think the total is the way to
10:25go. But at some point, if this thing creeps up even more so, aren't we forced to have to take
10:31Dallas here at this point, getting that many, that many points, even if you're an Eagles backer
10:36here? Yeah, it's up there pretty good. And it's week number one. It's the most squirrely week of
10:42the season. And then your mind plays tricks when you're heading into week number two, because that
10:45team stunk last week. Wait, they're good now? Or that team was awesome last week. Now they're
10:48really not good this week. You're going to get those back and forth here, those mind games that
10:53you'll play. But if we take a look at the quarterbacks here and what the expectations are,
10:56sure, they can both throw two touchdown passes. But as I look right now, just on FanDuel,
11:00Jalen Hurts, anytime touchdown market at a 165. You know, sometimes organizations, players and
11:05teams could be vindictive. Oh, you wanted to get rid of the tush push this year? Watch this. We'll
11:10run it three times inside the three and cruise into the end zone. So let me just ask you this
11:15question. New year, new money, as we like to say. Is it going to be the same old Philadelphia Eagles
11:18where Saquon Barkley does not get the football at the one yard line? Because the tush push is one of
11:23the best plays in football, short yardage conversion. And Jalen Hurts, if he gets on the goal line
11:27in the national stage, game number one, you know, he's ramming one in there, Joe, right?
11:33Oh, absolutely. I mean, there's no doubt about that. If it ain't broke, right? They are not going to
11:41fix it here. Now they do have a new OC, right? So Kellen Moore is gone, right? Because he's in
11:47New Orleans. But I do believe, Donnie, they promoted Philadelphia from within. And I think it was the
11:54assistant to Moore there that ends up taking it on Petula, right? So they're not going to,
12:00I don't know how much they're going to be playing. How much is he going to be playing around with what
12:04was already established? So I don't think we have to worry about them going off script because it's
12:09a new OC. I think if they're within the two yard line, you know exactly what you're getting there
12:14with Philadelphia. Landon Dickerson, also a full practice yesterday. So the big boys up the middle
12:19are ready to eat apparently on Thursday night. But if we do take a look at the standings here,
12:24or at least the odds market to win the NFC East, it's going through a lot of changes and it will
12:29change right up to a game time tomorrow before you get those final looks. You see the graphic up there,
12:33minus 145. Some outlets now posting a minus 150 price. The Dallas Cowboys here in third place with
12:39a seven to one number in second place, the commanders there at a plus 220 price and the Giants at 16 to
12:44one. So in a division that's not used to the same team winning division back to back, the Eagles are
12:51the heavy favorites to do just that, Joe.
12:54They are. But again, we're getting to the point now where it's, you know, very key numbers here,
12:59right? We thought seven is where it would stay. It was six and a half, then the trade happened.
13:04And now it's like, oh boy, here we go. I mean, Dallas is not inept offensively in any way,
13:12shape or form. They are loaded. You got Pickens, you got C.B. Lamb, you got Ferguson.
13:17This is not a team that is going to be, is going to be hard in shootouts to be able to put points
13:23up there. It'll be interesting to see where this defense of Philadelphia is in game one,
13:30but I'm still thinking we're getting a ton of points in this game. I think both offenses
13:34will outduel the defenses in this game.
13:38Yeah, we'll find out. And obviously sooner than later, because this game is going to kick off
13:42tomorrow night, but the weather looks decent. And also from that defensive vantage point,
13:46Micah Parsons is a game wrecker. He's not there. You take a look at the Philadelphia Eagles still
13:50struggling right now through training camp. Who's that third cornerback going to be?
13:54You're pretty set with the young kids on the outside in the slot, but there's one
13:57quarterback spot that's left to be desired. That defensive line for the Philadelphia Eagles
14:00did lose some key pieces in the off season. I think Fangio is still there, but as we know,
14:04George Pickens, CeeDee Lamb, that should be good enough to get some offense there with
14:08Dak Prescott against the Philadelphia Eagles, even if it's in the second half to sort of
14:12mount that charge. The one thing we know about the Eagles, that offense is intact.
14:16That offense should kick butt against anybody. So if you're looking for the Philadelphia Eagles
14:20to be in the high twenties here, that's probably going to carry the day and get you as close
14:23as possible to that mid forties, high forties number to hit the total in the game. Should
14:27be fun to watch and also should be fun to handicap. Week one, week one, week one. Oh,
14:32it sounds like a lot of fun and it will be. Starts tomorrow night, Philadelphia Eagles taking
14:36on the Dallas Cowboys. Then we get the Friday night football and the Kansas City Chiefs and
14:40the Los Angeles Chargers. But the week one slate, it just looks fantastic at this point. Me being
14:45an Eagles fan, of course, I'm really excited for that game that's going to take place on
14:49Thursday night. I love the fact that I don't have to wait till Sunday after that to get another
14:53football game and you give me a banger on a Friday night and then the rest of the card
14:57fills out on Sunday and then Sunday night football and then Monday night football. If you're
15:01looking at that slate week, number one, Joe, like being a fan of certain teams. Yes. But
15:07outside of, let's just say the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles for me, I love
15:10Friday night's game, but also when I start to peer into that four o'clock window, Detroit
15:15and green Bay is going to be awesome. Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo bills. Fantastic. Is there a
15:20certain game, Joe? These go, you know what? I don't care what I'm doing or what games I'm
15:24betting. I got to sit down and watch this game this weekend.
15:27Well, I mean, there's a, there's a lot of very interesting ones here. I think the, uh,
15:34the Washington giant game is going to be extremely interesting. I know that McLaurin, uh, who signed
15:40the new contract here a couple of weeks ago, right? Three years, 87 million. Uh, and everyone
15:46is just expecting unbelievable things from this Washington team. And meanwhile, they're expecting
15:52nothing from the giants, but I think the giants are very much alive in this game. And I think
15:59they're very much alive to maybe, uh, maybe win some games. They're not supposed to, I'm
16:05not necessarily buying all the hype with Washington. Uh, but we'll see, we'll know, uh, a pretty good
16:11idea. A good litmus test with these two teams coming up on Sunday. I'll tell you a good litmus
16:16test going to get off right off the bat. And that's Friday night football. That is the a, that
16:20is the, uh, West, the, excuse me, the AFC West. And that's Patrick Mahomes. And it's
16:23Justin Herbert neutral site game, which if you're Kansas city, you gotta love, you don't
16:27have to go to Los Angeles in front of their crowd. This game opened up around a two and
16:30a half point spread here in the summer, but now we're sitting at threes, Joe across the
16:34board and a total of 45 and a half. I always get nervous when you play overseas. Cause as
16:38I bring up last year, I remember watching the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Green Bay
16:42Packers and saying, I'm not going to grade either one of these teams. Whoever wins is just
16:45a war of attrition. The field is terrible and good luck to the victors. And it was
16:48the Philadelphia Eagles, which gave them a bonus because they got a victory over an
16:52NFC opponent that you might see in the playoffs. And they did. And the Eagles had home field
16:56advantage in that game with a win, help them get that. Now we take a look at Kansas city
17:00and the Los Angeles chargers divisional game, but it's a neutral site and technically a road
17:04team for both teams. I don't know if that surface is going to be an ice skating rink like
17:09it was last year, but that certainly could play into it. But looking at the favorite, Joe,
17:13do you agree on a neutral site? The Kansas city chiefs should be favored by about a field
17:16goal. And also the expectations for this game for you. Absolutely. It should be a favorite.
17:22I listen, I think you should. There's some questions here with the chargers, right? I mean,
17:28losing Slater like they did in training camp is just absolutely brutal. That is your blind
17:34side protector of Justin Herbert. He is no longer there. You brought in Nazi Harris because you
17:40wanted to have this ability to be able to run downhill on teams, right? Well, they say he's
17:47available, but because he had a 4th of July eye injury, hasn't played at all in the preseason.
17:53So how good and effective is he really going to be? And then on the flip side, Donnie, why,
17:58what, why did Kansas city have my homes and the starters actually play legit minutes in all three
18:05preseason games. I wonder why that is. I think they'll be ready to come out firing. I think
18:12they're bent on how it ended last year and getting blown out by Philly. I think they'd come out swinging
18:18in this one. Yeah. Ticket count pretty close to 55% of the tickets coming in on Kansas city as the
18:24favorites in this one. And the total that's listed at 45 and a half, but I'm just interested to see
18:28how that field conditions add up. Cause always like you joke around and it's true. Like
18:32you play the Kansas city chiefs in a Superbowl where you can't get a pass rush. Kansas city
18:36moves the football. You play the Kansas city chiefs in a place where defense can get footing in a
18:39pass rush. You can smash the Kansas city teams, but also understand this. A lot of changes made on
18:44that chargers team. That defense doesn't look as formidable as it has in the past couple of years.
18:48And it's a shame that Rasheed Rice is down because if he didn't get suspended two weeks, four or
18:52five, I would like to get a look at that trio and what we can expect there. Kelsey, you're probably
18:56going to be the best version of himself early in the season, as opposed to later in the season.
19:00But I do think the Kansas city chiefs end up winning that football game, which then brings
19:03us up to if the chiefs do win, they get a leg up on the chargers. And he looking at the divisional
19:07standings here in the odds race, it is the chiefs as a favorite at a minus one 10 price. That's low.
19:12It's always been way higher than that, which means the Broncos charges and Raiders with legitimate
19:17chances to win that division. Maybe not the Raiders so much, but looking at the chargers and the
19:21Broncos, this could go a long way. You get a chargers upset in this game over Kansas city.
19:26Now we're talking some fun out there in the West.
19:31Anybody's game, right? But I'll, I'll say it again. We've done this year after year after
19:37year for two decades with Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. And we keep expecting the wheels
19:43to fall off and it just does not happen. So I motivated Patrick Mahomes, Annie Reed in Kansas
19:51City, trying to erase the bad taste in their mouth is not a good thing for Denver, the
19:57chargers or the Raiders. I think this year, big play efforts here for the chiefs. That's
20:04what their calling card was when they had Tyreek Hill. Do we get back to that more? Do we see
20:08Patrick Mahomes, the gunslinger five step drops, seven step drops, airing it out? Cause you got
20:13speed at wide receiver and those guys are no longer young on that side. I just am interested
20:17to see what that game plan is on Friday night, or is it, Hey, let's run Pacheco. Let's keep
20:22it close and play that chiefs football that I hate over the past couple of years is Hey,
20:25Kansas city, you know, you can score more points. You don't have to be up to two points
20:28the whole game. I want to see if their mindset changes in that gas pedal starts to come back
20:32out once again.
20:34Well, it will. I mean, because they have worthy, right? So worthy is a guy that like Tyreek
20:39Hill is going to be able to stretch the field and defenses are going to have to be very,
20:44very worried. So does that open up other things underneath? Uh, how involved is Kelsey early
20:50on? Uh, but yeah, I'm with you. Is it going to be 12 and 13, you know, play drives and just
20:57milk the clock, or is it going to be one or two play drives and 70 yard touchdown passes?
21:01We'll see.
21:03And as we take a look at that offense here for the Los Angeles charges, Keenan Allen back
21:07in the fold. We took about Gabe Davis going home to Buffalo Keeney comes back to LA McConkie's
21:11a very good slot wide receiver. And then there's brick hands Johnston out on the outside
21:15on one side. Hampton is a very good, young, talented running back. They looked at another
21:19running back in their fold here, Joe, that might be running the football like this during
21:23the game, but he feels like he's ready to go. I'm just, I love this because we don't
21:28know about these two football teams until they get on the football field and see how they
21:32play out. Sometimes week number one, fantastic opportunities to bet in game. Don't leave that
21:37out of the equation. Like man, keep it up at the charge. They look terrible in the first
21:40quarter. Well, maybe you should have waited that out and see how actually they would play
21:43in week number one and those field conditions. Right back out of here on a Wednesday. It's
21:47a hump day on the sports grid network. We are setting the table, getting you ready for
21:50the rest of your sports grid program throughout the day. And most importantly, getting you
21:54set up for this week's NFL action. Donnie right side, Joe Ranieri. Now we bring in George
21:58Kurtz. You can see him on fantasy sports today, this Friday, 3 PM with Craig Misch. He's always
22:04around the channels. It's great to have him on the early line, the sort of kickoff football
22:08season. What's up, George?
22:10Well, it's up. You mentioned what? 34 hours and change now until the Cowboys and Eagles
22:14will kick off tomorrow night here. And then pretty much told him I'm going to be a miserable
22:17human being.
22:19Ah, I can't wait to wait to happen here. And again, starting in the land of the Super
22:23Bowl champions and away we go, George. Let me ask you this question right off the bat.
22:28The talk, obviously hot topics on the Dallas Cowboys. We saw that line over the summer.
22:33Let's call it six and a half. We're now over the touchdown threshold. Eight and eight
22:36and a half are in the marketplace. Micah Parsons isn't there. Jerry Jones says they're a better
22:41football team. Now your expectations for the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night and then playing
22:46into the regular season.
22:48Listen, I think when you look at the Dallas Cowboys, even if they had Micah, they were
22:52unlikely to be a playoff team, maybe a last wildcard team at best, right? They weren't
22:56going to compete with the Philadelphia's, Detroit's of the world, uh, in the NFC. That wasn't going
23:01to happen. They weren't really built that way. Uh, now without Micah, theoretically,
23:05the run defense should be better. Kenny Clark should make them better, but that's about
23:09it. This team doesn't have much of a running game here, right? I think when you look at
23:12the Cowboys, you're looking at a team that's going to score a lot of points. So you're
23:15looking at Dak Prescott props, right? Uh, his passing props should get there. His passing
23:19attempts should get there. Uh, CD Land, George Pickett should have good years. Same thing
23:23with Jake Ferguson. Uh, but that's what you look at. You look at points coming in these
23:26Dallas games. Look for the overs there because they're not going to win game 17, 14. They're
23:30going to have to win them 35, 31, just the way it's going to be for the Cowboys
23:34this year, uh, until Jerry Jones, uh, can fix the, uh, defense there, uh, without
23:39Micah. But that was true. Even with Micah, it wasn't going to make much of a
23:42difference, not this year here. So, well, I don't expect, uh, things to go well for
23:45the Cowboys tomorrow night, even with or without Micah, you're playing
23:48Philadelphia. They get the rings, raising the banner at home Thursday night, first
23:51game of the NFL season, bad place to be.
23:54Hmm. Yeah. I mean, but they, they did get a pretty good run stopper from green Bay,
24:01all things considered. It was their bugaboo from a year ago, right? The secondary is going
24:06to be a little bit better than it was last year. You bring in the Eber flues who as a
24:11head coach, we know total disaster, but as a DC George, you gotta, you gotta give the
24:18guys some credit here, man. And how, how exactly tight is this Philadelphia offense going to
24:25be right off the bat here? Uh, I don't know. I, we do know Dak loves, uh, the NFC East. He's got a
24:32great record against them. Is this really a blowout here in game one in this spot?
24:39I don't think it's a blowout. I think Dallas could get a backdoor cover as well, by the way.
24:43Uh, now you're right. Dak Prescott against the Eagles, Giants, Commanders, his record is fantastic.
24:48Generally, he does play very well, but the bugaboo for Dak has been doesn't play well in big games.
24:53So what do we believe tomorrow? It isn't NFC East, but it's also a big game, right? I mean,
24:58it would be open the NFL season. That's where Dak generally doesn't play well when the spotlight is
25:02on him here. The offensive line is a work in progress. Now that Eagles defensive line is good,
25:07really good here. It may not be New York Giants good, but it's good. So I think they'll put pressure
25:12on Dallas. Tyler Guyton looks like he will play tomorrow. All right. So will Trayvon Diggs. It looks
25:16like once again, they're trending in the right direction to play tomorrow. So that should help the Cowboys
25:20there. To the Eagles, they're all offensive line. Also, but a little banged up this, uh,
25:25uh, this whole season here, but Dickerson is going to play as well. So every team is,
25:29both teams are about as healthy as they can be entering game one here. I wouldn't show you
25:33that Dallas got a backdoor cover. It's going to touch down late. They cover the, uh, I got it at
25:37seven, maybe you're at seven and a half, eight, whatever it might be here. So I wouldn't shock me
25:40there. Still, if I'm betting this game, maybe I don't want to lay eight, eight and a half
25:45here. I think it's a good parlay opportunity to take the Eagles, plenty of baseball tomorrow night.
25:48You know, I might, um, I'm going to be one who's going to take the Eagles and I'll find
25:51a baseball game. I like to parlay it. Put it with there. I liked it, George, man. Looking
25:56for extra options. And by the way, Dak Prescott, when he's played the Philadelphia Eagles in the
25:59regular season, he's a pretty good quarterback. They got some weapons out there. The Eagles
26:02still looking for that third quarterback to step up. Maybe they have some advantages in
26:05that secondary. We'll certainly find what a show on a hump day Wednesday radio on the early
26:09line on the sports grid network. And keep in mind once again, tomorrow morning, yes,
26:13we will be here bright and early, just a little bit earlier on your television screen.
26:187 a.m. to 9 a.m. And that's not just a one day thing. That's Monday through Friday from
26:22here on out during the football season and into the beyond until it changes again. So
26:277 to 9 a.m. Keep that on the calendar tomorrow. Make sure you're waking up early. It's Donnie
26:31Wright said it's Joe Ranieri. The same fun you have just an hour early to get that news for
26:35you there. Now is the time of the show, Joe. We like to reach out to the people and get
26:39an opinion to see if we need to fade the public or back the public. Here's the fade the
26:42public poll.
26:43Simplicity, Joe. That's what we love. And at the sports grid network at sports grid on X,
26:56we asked the question today of our fade the public poll. That question, will Aaron Rodgers
27:00and the Steelers defeat the Jets in week number one? Did you know that Aaron Rodgers and the
27:04Jets are traveling to the Meadowlands to play the New York Jets in week number one? Well,
27:08they are. I think the public's getting it right right now. The yes button was smashed 68% of the
27:14time compared to the no button at 31%. I agree. I'm not fading the public. I think the Steelers
27:21are a better team. I'm not saying the Steelers would be great this season, but better than the
27:24Jets week number one. I said yes. I backed the public, Joe.
27:29You really? Is this what you had to do? You had to put me in the spot? The only Jet fan here
27:35in the area and you want me to comment on whether the public is wrong in backing. Of course they're
27:43wrong backing Pittsburgh. Are you guys out of your mind? So I get a home. Wait, wait, wait. I get a
27:50home dog catching a field goal when I've got two teams that are built from the defensive side to the
27:57offensive side. Only I have the younger and more athletic quarterback while you got a 42 year old
28:03stuck in the mud. That's going to get absolutely destroyed. Yeah. I'll take the points with the
28:08home dog. I'm fading that public here, Donnie. Wait, what are we running? 50 times in this game
28:13for the Jets. By the way, I will take it to be honest, a good pass rush. That certainly is going
28:17to be able to get home for the Steelers. That means more opportunities to run out of the pocket for
28:21Justin Fields. That's the action that I want to take this Sunday at one o'clock, but a fun public
28:25poll there. Aaron Rogers returns home to a team where he didn't do much for when the expectations
28:30were really high for the Jets. Maybe the Jets can repay that favor and say, aha, this is why we
28:35sent you packing and on your way, buddy, new regime in town for the Jets. We'll see if it works out in
28:39week number one.
