00:00Let's squeeze another one in here for us, and that is the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens.
00:05Sunday at 1 o'clock, who's going to win the AFC North?
00:08My goodness, who actually wants to win the AFC North?
00:10This line opened up at 6.5, Joe.
00:12Dipped the 5.5s in the marketplace and 6s across the board.
00:1642.5 is a total.
00:18Who knows what you're going to get from these two teams because they certainly haven't risen to the occasion here this season so far.
00:24Somebody's got to win, Joe.
00:25What's your spread line here?
00:26Talked to a friend of mine in a risk room, Donnie, and he says it has been nothing but Pittsburgh sharp money coming in at the books right now.
00:37We'll see if that changes, but right now, they're taking the points.
00:42NFL news and notes.
00:44You've got to keep up on it this time of the year.
00:45It's December.
00:46Teams trying to make the playoffs.
00:47Teams cutting guys.
00:48Teams looking for additions out here in the marketplace.
00:51And how about yesterday?
00:52Adam Thielen was like, these quarterbacks are so damn bad in Minnesota.
00:54I want out.
00:55I just want to go to a winning organization.
00:57Then he picked to go to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Joe.
01:00I guess you can guarantee they'll be around 9 and 8 at least.
01:02Adam Thielen to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
01:04I'm telling you right now, this doesn't mean anything.
01:06That offense is broken, and Adam Thielen ain't helping that offense, Joe.
01:10That's just my two cents.
01:12Well, listen, they need help, and they need help off the line of scrimmage, right, Donnie?
01:17Because it doesn't help to stretch the field because you can't get it to Metcalf anyway.
01:23So anybody in that slot that can just, you know, you put right in there and, you know, three or four yards off the line of scrimmage can make the catch.
01:31You know, it's for what they're doing right now and what they need.
01:35And it's not a bad grab by Pittsburgh at all.
01:39And I'll tell you this one thing on this, Joe.
01:41Like, from a fantasy perspective or maybe a player prop percentage perspective, Aaron Rodgers will throw to his friends.
01:47He is a friend with Adam Thielen.
01:48And, by the way, in the news and notes last week coming out of that game was Aaron Rodgers furious with his wife.
01:54It's going, like, show up to these extra meetings.
01:57Show up to this extra chalk talk.
01:58Show up on the field after practice so I can throw you passes.
02:01I guarantee, just like, you know, when Devontae Adams wasn't open, he was open because three guys on him meant nobody was on him.
02:07I'm throwing in the football because that's my guy.
02:09He might do that to Thielen.
02:10Some interesting things to watch out for, but I don't think it moves the needle for the Pittsburgh Steelers for me overall.
02:15Let's talk some Giants football here, right?
02:17Giants not having a good season.
02:19You fire your head coach.
02:20The owner's an imbecile.
02:22And then Joe Shane is up there hours late for his GM meeting yesterday with the press.
02:26And here he is to talk a little bit about what he's thinking.
02:28Let me start off with, you know, two wins is not where we want to be right now.
02:32It's not good enough.
02:33I understand the frustration from fans, ownership, you know, the people inside the building.
02:39And nobody's more frustrated than myself.
02:42And it starts with me.
02:44And I'm tasked with trying to get this organization going back in, you know, the proper direction.
02:50And the standard is to compete, you know, for championships year in and year out.
02:54And that's the plan moving forward.
02:55So, you know, we're going to look at everything, you know, whether it's free agency, drafts, coaching, finishing, execution on the field, whatever it may be.
03:04We're going to look at all avenues in order to get this franchise back to where it belongs.
03:08I mean, I don't know.
03:12And I guess maybe it's the New York Giants as an organization saying, like, we need a general manager just to at least coast us into the offseason.
03:18There's no way he should have his job back.
03:20Like, just an absolute destruction, terror, and mayhem, it feels like, for Joe Shane.
03:24And by the way, I didn't think anybody could be worse.
03:26You see those records up there.
03:27Like, Dave Gettleman is one of the worst general managers I've ever seen in my life.
03:30And Joe Shane is ready to usurp him because there's no way Joe Shane is going to have a winning month of December on his way out.
03:37So, congratulations for the one extra win over Gettleman here.
03:40He should be shown the door as well.
03:42Listen, shout out to the New York media, too, Donnie, because in that press conference that he held, when he started taking questions, they took no prisoners with him.
03:55They were forcing him to say, yeah, this is all great.
03:58Like, everyone else loses their job, but exactly what is your role in all of it?
04:02Like, what responsibility do you take, Joe?
04:05Like, what can you do better?
04:07Because you pretty much fired everybody else and blamed them.
04:10So, they absolutely held his feet to the fire, and it was absolutely needed.
04:16Why he still has a job is a little bit head-scratching.
04:20General manager of a football team would probably, if I said growing up as, like, a five-year-old, like, what's your dream job?
04:25It would have to be that.
04:26And the fact that you finally get that job and you're terrible at it, that's really got to sink in.
04:30Like, where am I going to be?
04:31An administrator after this when I leave?
04:32Because who's going to look at me with the Giants and say, that's the guy I want running my franchise here?
04:36But the question is, who is that general manager going to pick as their head coach, and will it be Joe Shane?
04:41Who will be the next coach on Calshi?
04:44Mike McCarthy with a 20% chance, which I can't believe that.
04:47Like, I understand, like, your franchise is in such doldrums.
04:50You're just like, I can't go with a young up-and-coming guy.
04:52Let me go with the guy who's been around the NFL 50 years ago he won a Super Bowl.
04:56Maybe that'll save my job.
04:59The only reason, only reason McCarthy is even mentioned or considered in this market, Donnie, is because of their young quarterback.
05:10That's it. That's the only reason you would consider this, because you still think that Brett Favre and others down, you know, the Aaron Rod, like, he had a big role.
05:19Like, somehow he's a quarterback whisperer.
05:22It's the only reason that you're considering him.
05:24Otherwise, no thanks.
05:26But you know what?
05:27I think a lot of this is going to come down to what Kafka does and the relationship between him and Jackson Dart, if we're honest here.
05:34Because Joe Schoen's not going to bring in somebody new who's going to upset the apple cart.
05:39Like, all the way down that list is John Gruden.
05:42Like, I'd rather have John Gruden than Mike McCarthy.
05:44Like, just jumpstart and energize my franchise.
05:46Because if you hire John Gruden, what does your fan base go?
05:49Whoa! Let me tune into this.
05:51You hire Mike McCarthy, like, okay, we'll see what happens.
05:55But I'm not having high expectations.
05:57It's really simple, man.
05:58You're in the New York marketplace.
05:59Have that lightning rod at head coach.
06:01Thursday Night Football, we got a good one tomorrow night.
06:03That's between the Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions.
06:06You want to talk about who's making the playoffs?
06:08This could be possibly an elimination game.
06:11Detroit, we thought would probably be at the top of the standings, starting to slip as of late.
06:14Dallas looked dead and buried.
06:16Now coming back from the grave in order to try to make a playoff run.
06:20And maybe even an NFC East championship here, which you know usually doesn't have back-to-back champions in the NFC East.
06:29But this game opened up as the look-ahead line, Joe.
06:31Five and a half points.
06:32It's no longer there.
06:33It's minus threes across the board as a favorite towards the Lions.
06:36And a total of 54 and a half points.
06:40Points are expected.
06:41Dallas is humming.
06:42What do we get out of the Lions as now a slight favorite at home on Thursday?
06:47Well, nothing good, Donnie.
06:50I mean, that's, we can honestly say that.
06:52I mean, it is, we've just watched, if I'm not mistaken, Jameis Winston and Jordan Love torch this defense of the Detroit Lions here in really not good ways for Detroit.
07:05They can't get any stop.
07:07They are susceptible to guys that can throw the ball.
07:11And who do they have coming in?
07:13My goodness, maybe the hottest quarterback and receiving tandem and maybe one of the hottest offenses in the NFL.
07:20Well, there is a reason why, Donnie, and I believe at 54 and a half, this is the highest total we've had all year in the NFL.
07:29And I don't see it closing lower than this, by the way.
07:33But, I mean, what are you going to expect here?
07:36I mean, yes, it's on the road for Dallas, but it's indoors.
07:40It's in a fast track.
07:41It's, you're going to get exactly what you've gotten from the Cowboys here over the last couple of weeks.
07:47Pretty good defenses, too, that they've beaten up in Philadelphia as well as Kansas City.
07:52And they still lit them up offensively.
07:55What has Detroit shown us that believes that all of a sudden they are going to be able to stop Dak?
08:00And the answer is they're not.
08:02So, I get why the market is moving towards Dallas.
08:05There are going to be points in this game.
08:07The only question is, how many are Dallas going to score?
08:11And I think they're going to score.
08:1330 is going to win this game, Donnie.
08:15You better get the 30 points.
08:16Otherwise, you're not winning this game.
08:18Who do you think gets there first, Dallas or Detroit?
08:20And ultra-aggressive, you know, Dan Campbell's always going to be that.
08:24Dallas, do they settle for field goals because they've got a kicker that can make it from 80 yards?
08:27We'll find out.
08:28But the quarterback's going head-to-head.
08:29No cheapies here.
08:31Jared Goff, 252.5 as his passing prop.
08:33Dak Prescott, 268.5 as his passing prop.
08:36And look at the touchdown market for them.
08:38Over 1.5 touchdown passes.
08:40Jared Goff, minus 215.
08:42Dak Prescott, minus 182.
08:44Won't be any surprise if you get five-plus touchdown passes in this game.
08:48This should be a shootout.
08:49That's the way it's stepping up.
08:51Dallas is going to change their stripes.
08:52You know, you attack Detroit.
08:54Yeah, it's attacking their secondary.
08:55And you got two absolute Ferraris right now at wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys.
09:00Should be a fun one to see it play out, Joe, which also includes the touchdown props.
09:04Jameer Gibbs, minus 250 at some outlets here.
09:08Javante Williams, minus 135.
09:10Montgomery Williams.
09:11CeeDee Lamb.
09:12I always like to do this.
09:14I talk to Tom Vecchio all the time.
09:16CeeDee Lamb, plus 115.
09:18George Pickens, plus 120.
09:19How does one of those, if not both, don't score in this game?
09:23You split it, you take plus money home, and away you go, Joe.
09:27Yeah, I can't go wrong.
09:28Because, yes, there are going to be touchdowns.
09:30But I would be careful with the Detroit side, given the fact that, I mean, no Sam LaPorter,
09:37no Amara St. Brown there for them.
09:39They have limited options now, which means, which I think is why Goff has actually been throwing less.
09:48They've been trying to run more here, because what other choice do they have?
09:52You know, two of his favorite weapons and favorite targets are no longer available.
09:57And we saw the great hands Williams has.
09:59So, they're going to need the running backs in the running game to be pretty good here.
10:05That's who I would focus on with the Lions when it comes to touchdowns, for sure.
10:10Yeah, look at Jameer Gibbs, 76.5 rushing yards.
10:12David Montgomery, 33.5 rushing yards.
10:15They really need to make sure they run the football, because Amara St. Brown is not going to play in this football game.
10:20That really hurts them.
10:21That's the guy that's wide open every play, anytime you want him, they scheme him open.
10:25And also understand this, Dan Campbell hasn't really been on the hot seat, like revigorating Detroit football here.
10:31A lot of that had to do with Ben Johnson.
10:33Ben Johnson's not here.
10:34And it seems like Detroit cannot get a first down on fourth down to save their lives when they lived on that in the past.
10:40Something to keep an eye on.
10:41One thing that we do know is, a Lion not going to change his stripes here in this game.
10:45They'll continue to go for a fourth down, and that might be the difference in the game, Joe.
10:49Yeah, well, let's face it.
10:53With Dan Campbell calling the plays, you know, they have now thrown the ball 23% less than what they have in years past.
11:02Keep an eye on that moving forward in the prop market, too, because it's got to be running or bust, apparently, with Dan Campbell.
11:10And by the way, Jameer Gibbs, 15.5 carries is his rushing attempt number there.
11:15I think he goes over that, because why?
11:16I don't think there's any other way.
11:18You've got to run the football this weekend if you are the Detroit Lions.
11:21More fun coming up in hour number two.
11:24Don't you go anywhere, people.
11:26This is the early line.
11:27Hump Day Wednesday right here on the Sports Grid Network.
11:29Time for fun, time for games, time for information.
11:32It's Donnie Wright's side at Joe Ranier, and here's George Kurtz joining us today, because why?
11:36We've got some business to talk about.
11:38Two weeks ago, we might have looked at the Dallas Cowboys and said, man, come on now.
11:41We're already looking towards 2026 and beyond.
11:44Not the case.
11:45One of the hottest teams in the NFL, George.
11:47How are we feeling today?
11:49As a Cowboy fan, we're feeling pretty good.
11:51You said it, Donnie.
11:52Two weeks ago, that season's over.
11:54We'll see what draft we can get.
11:55We've got a couple of number ones.
11:56We'll play for next year here.
11:58Now, it's in front of you.
12:00It's really in front of you.
12:01You can beat Detroit tomorrow night, which won't be easy by any stretch of the imagination.
12:05But you do that, then you get Minnesota, no quarterback, Chargers, quarterback with a broken hand, and the Commanders and Giants.
12:12It doesn't really matter.
12:14They have nothing going on there.
12:15So, it's in front of them if they can get by it tomorrow night.
12:18Of course, as Joe Ranieri and I have played the game here, if you're going to put the Cowboys in, who are you taking out?
12:25Come on, Joe.
12:27Answer them, Joe.
12:28Yeah.
12:29Well, that's the problem, right?
12:30Who are you taking out?
12:31And I'll tell you what, a win against Detroit, that would be one team that we can cross off the list there, George, I think, of actually making it through there.
12:41And they'll have some opportunities moving forward.
12:45But you've got to love it.
12:46Now, Cowboys on the road, always concerning, but they're going to a dome with another fast track, George.
12:53So, I'm not holding out against them, and neither is the market, apparently.
12:58You just named the key thing, right?
12:59This is at home, would feel great about the Cowboys.
13:02They have five losses this season, four are on the road, and they're all on grass, all right?
13:09Carolina, Chicago, Denver, Philadelphia, all on grass, all right?
13:13No, not on turf here.
13:14The only raw loss on turf they have is to Arizona when they just pooped a bed on that Monday night before the big trades happened here.
13:20That really seemed to have fixed the Cowboys here.
13:23Detroit's in a lot of trouble.
13:24We know that.
13:25Amon St. Brown, maybe he plays, maybe he doesn't.
13:27He hasn't practiced as of yet here.
13:29Maybe he tries to give it a go.
13:30He won't be at full strength either way.
13:32No Sam Laporte, season-ending IR.
13:34They're having all sorts of issues here.
13:36The offensive line is playing, I guess, so underperformance that they try to get Frank Ragno out of retirement, right?
13:43And he's got a hamstring.
13:44He's not coming back there.
13:45So, Detroit has a lot of issues here.
13:46And, Joe, you're not kidding.
13:48The loser tomorrow pretty much is done, all right?
13:50This is a playoff game in a lot of, for all intents and purposes here.
13:53Should be a great game.
13:54I like the Cowboys.
13:55People who know me know I'm a negative Cowboy fan, but I like the Cowboys.
13:58I'll take the points here, and I'll go with Dallas to upset the Detroit Lions in Detroit.
14:02It makes it, it does, George.
14:05It makes a lot of sense.
14:06And also understand this.
14:07Typically, you'd say, okay, you're on the road on a Thursday night game.
14:09That's a short work week here.
14:10Both of these teams played Thanksgiving, so a full seven days for each one of these teams to prepare and get ready for it.
14:15So, that normal, oh, Thursday night could be a bad football game because both teams are banged up.
14:19Yes, I'm going to Ross St. Brown's going to be out.
14:21But from a football perspective, it's a full seven days and also 54 and a half.
14:25We are expecting big-time points in this game.
14:27I'm interested to see the way it plays out, George.
14:29But I also want to get your take here outside of the Dallas Cowboys, the MVP marketplace in the NFL.
14:35Now sees Drake May as the favorite.
14:37Matthew Stafford, if they're struggling in a loss, going to events at Carolina Panthers.
14:41Now, when you look at the numbers, it wasn't all that bad.
14:43It was two first quarter, excuse me, interceptions, which really doomed them, and then a fumble late.
14:48But then you have Dak Prescott, Jordan Love, and Josh Allen.
14:51Prescott is a little bit sneaky because we love a comeback story.
14:55He lights up that Detroit secondary.
14:57Dallas is resurgence.
14:58They're not going to win technically by defense the rest of the way.
15:01They're going to win on the arm of Dak Prescott and the wide receivers of CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens.
15:07The problem is if you're going to vote for Dak, you want to take your 15-1, they have to make the playoffs, right?
15:12You're not going to go win MVP.
15:13And by the way, he may need to win with division, which by the way, he may need to do that anyway to get to the playoffs.
15:18I don't know if they can get the wild card.
15:20I mean, you look at the odds.
15:22If you like the odds, they're 27% to get to the playoffs right now.
15:25It's just not very good.
15:26You know, no one's – odds are not we are really with them there.
15:29But, yes, Dak is having a fantastic season.
15:31He is, other than those games I mentioned on grass earlier in the season where he didn't play all that well.
15:36If you don't like Dak, I can still see Josh Allen.
15:39All right?
15:40That whole team is Josh Allen.
15:41I mean, if they go on a run here, maybe he can possibly win it here.
15:45It probably will come down to Drake, May, and Stafford.
15:47They both have negatives, right?
15:48May has played nobody.
15:49I mean, literally, they played, I think, what, the ranked 32 defenses all season long.
15:53They haven't played anyone.
15:55Stafford has struggled now two of his last three games.
15:57Sure, they beat Seattle, but he didn't perform all that well a couple of weeks back.
16:00And then we know about the interceptions and the fumble on Sunday here.
16:03So, it is wide open.
16:05I do wonder – let's just say everything stays staggered the way it is now.
16:08I do wonder if the voters will hold it against Drake May for not playing anybody, right?
16:12We're playing – you know, you look at the quarterbacks, this team.
16:15Listen, you play your schedule.
16:16This isn't college.
16:16They're not making up their own schedule, right?
16:19They're just playing their schedule here, but it doesn't change the fact that they haven't played anybody, all right?
16:24It's been an easy schedule here.
16:25So, I would do wonder if the voters will hold it against him.
16:28But either way, he's had a really, really good season.
16:31I'd probably still give the edge to Stafford right now.
16:34We were just talking on cash about the AFC marketplace
16:37and who's going to win the AFC championship for the right to play for a Super Bowl
16:40and win a Super Bowl against the NFC.
16:42Well, one of those games could be an eliminator-type game.
16:45AFC South didn't think we'll be heating up this late in the season
16:48because it looked like maybe the Colts would just run away with things.
16:51Jacksonville and Indianapolis, the favorite.
16:54Was Indy at minus three, Joe?
16:56Not anymore.
16:57It's down to minus one and a half as a favorite towards the Colts on the road
17:00to take on Jacksonville.
17:01The total listed at 47 and a half.
17:03Daniel Jones still fighting through that broken leg that he has.
17:07Was able to perform last week, but they did lose that game to the Houston Texans.
17:11Rain is in the forecast, so maybe more controlled on the ground.
17:15Travis Indian, Basial Tootin on one side,
17:17going up against the immovable object on the other side that you know.
17:21Jonathan, boy, can run wild in this game.
17:24Is it going to be Johnny?
17:25Is it going to be Basial?
17:26Is it going to be ATN?
17:28Who's going to win this game?
17:28Well, here's the problem, Donnie.
17:32They've had, you know, JT available to them here now for how many games,
17:38and yet they have not been able to gain 300 yards in back-to-back games now,
17:43you know, since entering, what, the Week 11 bye?
17:46They were the top offense in football.
17:48Then we find out that Danny Dimes is playing hurt.
17:51The big moves that they made on the defensive side,
17:54Sauce Gardner now gone, which makes that defense a little less potent here.
18:00But teams have figured out, which usually happens this time of year, Donnie,
18:04they make adjustments and they realize,
18:06well, Daniel Jones isn't as mobile as he once was.
18:10As long as we stop the running game, guess what?
18:12We're good to go.
18:14And, you know, I think that's exactly what Jacksonville is planning on doing here.
18:17I mean, the Jags just closed out a brutal stretch.
18:21What, they have four road games in five weeks, Donnie?
18:24And they went four and one.
18:26And the defense is certainly playing well enough, I think,
18:29in order to limit a one-dimensional now in the offense here.
18:33I get the line move, and I agree with it.
18:36Yeah, no, it should be one to watch it play out.
18:38And I didn't think we would have this struggle late in the season for the Colts,
18:41but here we are.
18:42Colts lose this game.
18:43Now their season feels like it's in peril.
18:45And also understand this.
18:46So, Oscar, there's not walking through those curtains next weekend to play
18:49and say, you know what, I'm here to go.
18:50He's down for multiple weeks.
18:52We'll see if Jacksonville can rise to the occasion in this game.
18:55Another AFC battle, which two or three weeks ago,
18:57we probably thought would be an easy victory for the Buffalo Bills.
19:00Maybe not the case.
19:02Cincinnati back with Joe Burrow, fresh off a victory there on Thanksgiving.
19:06And now you turn the table and say to yourself, all right,
19:08where do we go from here at this point?
19:10Five and a half point spread here for the Buffalo Bills as the favorite.
19:1352 and a half.
19:14Understand this, waiting for information as T. Higgins is going to come back
19:18because then you get Burrow, Higgins, Chase, and away you go.
19:23This is a fantastic game to watch.
19:24And also understand this, cold weather is back.
19:27It's December.
19:28It's going to be cold in Buffalo this weekend, Joe.
19:31Yes, it is.
19:32But it's not – look at that total, Donnie.
19:3451 and a half.
19:36And we could have some weather in Buffalo there.
19:39And we just saw with weather exactly – in fact, there were a lot of games
19:44this past weekend, Donnie, where weather played a major role.
19:47And we got a ton of unders across the NFL.
19:50Keep an eye on that lake and the wind coming off it at Orchard Park.
19:54And here's a tip, by the way.
19:56When you're searching weather, don't put in Buffalo.
19:59Put in Orchard Park.
20:00Two totally different worlds when you're searching the weather reports
20:04coming up for Sunday.
20:06Two totally different reports, in fact, that could come out.
20:09But I can tell you this.
20:11If there's any hint of an issue, it's going to be a lot of running in this game.
20:15And the under will come very much into play.
20:19Yeah, James Cook, man, looking like that beast now.
20:22They ran the ball 51 times against the Pittsburgh Steelers this past weekend.
20:26Absolutely incredible.
20:27And, again, ground game may be the way to victory because that Cincinnati defense,
20:30even though they showed up against, you know, Baltimore,
20:32different beast there on the other side with a couple good guys that can run
20:35and are healthy enough to run the football.
20:37Denver and Las Vegas from Las Vegas, a 7.5 point favorite here for the Denver Broncos
20:42and a total of 40.5.
20:44Vegas is really bad.
20:46But Denver has a penchant for letting teams hang around before beating them late.
20:50If they do that again, we'll be like, ah, well, how good are the Denver Broncos?
20:53How bad are the Vegas Raiders?
20:54I do know the Vegas Raiders are bad.
20:56But can we see now Denver going on the East Coast and taking on Washington
21:00in a late game where they needed extras, now flying back to Denver,
21:04then flying to Las Vegas?
21:06We'll see how that comes into it.
21:07That 40.5 always hanging in, not because we think the defense is good for Denver.
21:11It's just that Las Vegas Raiders offense is putrid.
21:15Yeah, no, it's not good.
21:17And I don't know that it's going to get any better anytime soon here.
21:22I think that if you like the Raiders and you think maybe there's some lingering effect here,
21:29short week, overtime situation for the Broncos, maybe you look somehow to back the Raiders early
21:35because I would imagine by the time we get to the second half, that's usually when Denver
21:40figures some things out and we'll go ahead and maybe run away with this one.
21:44But there's nothing redeeming about the Raiders outside of this being a division rivalry.
21:50And you never know in these types of games, but these two teams are clearly on different paths.
21:56No, they certainly are.
21:57It's like Max Crosby, can you get a sack?
21:59If not, oh, we can't stop anybody.
22:01Ashton Jinty, we drafted up high.
22:02You get two yards in a cloud of dust.
22:04Don't look anywhere near the explosiveness that you had in college football.
22:07It's just wild how it turns out.
22:09Now, it should be an easy victory for Denver.
22:11But as we say, any given Sunday, we've seen crazier things, particularly with those Denver Broncos.
22:16Let's go to the Rams and the Arizona Cardinals.
22:18Another start here for Jacoby Brissett, and why not?
22:21Dude is slinging it all over the football field.
22:23Now, the Rams come in as a heavy favorite, minus eight and a half at a lot of outlets here.
22:27They just lost last week to the Carolina Panthers in the rain outdoors.
22:31Now you're going back indoors.
22:33They are a dome team and a total, let's say, at 48 and a half.
22:36I know the Rams have a good defense.
22:37Exposed a little bit last week where that running game got cranked up for Carolina.
22:41You know, the passing game started to come through with Bryce.
22:43But now I say to myself, all right, break this one down.
22:47Bounce back game.
22:48The Rams should do whatever they want against Arizona's defense.
22:50But, Joe, Brissett's going to throw the football 40-plus times in this game.
22:54We're going to 50 points-plus in this one.
22:56That's the way I look at this game.
22:58Well, you know, and the reality is Arizona outplayed Tampa Bay last week despite the loss there.
23:06They were a little unfortunate, but now they get to go home, and everyone's thinking bounce back spot here.
23:13But this is a big number, Donnie, even for the Rams.
23:17And Jacoby Brissett has already shown us that, yeah, even down a couple of touchdowns, this team is never out of it.
23:23They have no problem slinging it around.
23:26And Arizona's getting healthier on defense.
23:29It looks like they're going to get Walter Nolan back this week.
23:32Will Johnson, their top defensive back, returned last week.
23:37Yeah, they could be a lot more competitive at home in this spot with Brissett under center than people think.
23:43Let me ask a question, too.
23:45We'll go back to that Buffalo Bills team.
23:47And, again, they're playing the Bengals this week, and they certainly need a win.
23:50Are we back in on the Buffalo Bills?
23:52Are we out on the Buffalo Bills?
23:53Because I can't seem to get a read on them.
23:55Just when I think they're – and then, again, the Pittsburgh Steelers aren't the end-all, be-all.
23:58But they played really good football in the second half.
24:00But then I just go back to those Miami games that they let slip away, and they don't play all that well at Houston.
24:05What are we led to believe about the Buffalo Bills, that they will get it together, that the wide receivers will get healthy, the tight ends will get healthy, the tackles will get healthy, and Josh Allen can just make enough plays?
24:15What are we led to believe about the Buffalo Bills as a legitimate contender to get to a Super Bowl in the AFC?
24:20Because it looks like, Joe, their kryptonite Kansas City shouldn't be an issue this year.
24:23Correct.
24:25Correct.
24:26And what we saw last week is exactly why you have to – you can't discount Buffalo.
24:33Because their entire plan this year, Donnie, it's a shame they lost Ed Oliver here.
24:38But they did get healthier on that defensive front, and you saw it paid dividends in that game against Pittsburgh.
24:44That game last week is what they're going to have to do in the postseason, right?
24:50So they are built to win games at the end of December and early January.
24:55That running game will win them a lot in the postseason.
24:59That team shows up, Donnie, when it matters the most.
25:02They are almost impossible to beat.
25:05So I think that, yes, you can't stick a fork in the Buffalo Bills because how they're built is to win games this time of year.
25:12Yeah, and we'll say, again, that running game, which starts to crank up, which should open up that passing game and play-action pass, and you get Kincaid back healthy.
25:20That offense should be much better.
25:21And that was backup tackles.
25:23Yeah.
25:24Yeah, exactly.
25:25Backup tackles.
25:25And they ran the ball 50.
25:26Again, the energy for Pittsburgh in that game should have been like, we have pass rushers.
25:31We are going to beat you up because the M.O. in the previous game was – now, granted, Houston's defense is better than Pittsburgh's.
25:37But Pittsburgh's like, look, Houston just unbelievably crushed that pocket and smashed Josh Allen.
25:42We should be able to do something like that.
25:44They couldn't do any of that.
25:45And they just took the air out of the football and just absolutely hammered them here.
25:48Crazy times in Buffalo.
25:49We'll see if they can hold on.
25:51Hey, right back at it.
25:52Final segment of the day for a hump day Wednesday, people.
25:54You are almost to the finish line on Friday.
25:57But before we get there, a lot more fun, a lot more intrigue, which includes tomorrow night.
26:01Once again, the NFL is back in our lives.
26:02That's the Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions.
26:05But before we get there, as part of the show, we like to reach out to the people and ask them a question and get their opinion.
26:10Here's our fave to public poll.
26:20Follow at SportsGrid on X.
26:22You get these questions Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday delivered directly to you.
26:27Who is your pick to win the NFC this season?
26:30Four teams were given.
26:31The Rams, the Seahawks, the Packers, and the Eagles, all at appropriate price points here.
26:36And I'm looking at it as a heavy favorite, running away with it, Joe, is the favorite in the Los Angeles Rams.
26:43Do you agree with that?
26:45Well, I mean, I think they should be getting the love right now.
26:48But this could also change big time here, Donnie, over the next couple of weeks, depending on what the results are of some of these games.
26:56But I think, top to bottom, despite the loss last week against a, you know, very, this isn't a one-win Carolina team.
27:05I mean, this is a legit Carolina team here that now is much better than anybody thought they would be to this point.
27:12And, oh, yeah, they got a quarterback that's actually starting to get the game in the NFL level.
27:17So, I agree.
27:19I think the Rams are, at this point, still a complete enough team that they should be considered the favorite here to win the NFC.
27:27Yeah, you look at those teams.
27:28And, again, up for grabs.
27:30Like, we usually have those real high front runners every single year, the AFC and the NFC.
27:34We don't have them.
27:34But I still do think, pound for pound, that it is the Los Angeles Rams.
27:38And if the Rams can hold on and have home field advantage, they don't have to go outdoors.
27:42They play in the Dome.
27:43They'll be that much more advantageous.
27:44And who knows if the crowd's going to be on their side because it's always partisan in L.A.
27:48with whoever they're going to play in an NFC championship game.
27:51But we'll find those details out the way we go.
27:53But that's where our poll sits today.
27:55Heavy favorite there on the Rams.
27:56And the public goes, yeah, we like the Rams as well.
