I've been helping a mobile pet grooming business improve its ranking for its target keyword in August 2025. In less than a month, I've been able to increase their SoLV using @localfalcon from 44.44% to 81.48%, which means they are receiving more impressions, website clicks, phone calls, and leads for their business. Every #LocalSEO client is different, and they are in a less competitive field than the others I work with, so their results came much faster than those of other accounts I manage. Still, the thought process remains the same.

00:00Hey everyone, what's going on? Greg here again from Team Blast. In August 2025, I've been helping a mobile pet grooming business rank better on Google Maps. I want to explain my thought process, how when I took this on as a project, kind of what I looked at, my thought, you know, mentality of what I wanted to do next, and then how I tracked the results.
00:17So back on August 11th, we had a 44.44% of the time we're on page one of Google for the keyword mobile pet grooming. Today, we are at that 81%. We're just under the 82%. We are the top player now in this area. Why is that so important? So if I scroll all the way down over here, Local Falcon actually allows me to play the map slide show. So I can see every time I run the heat map scan, how the map changes. So let me go back into 8.11, just to explain this a little bit easier.
00:44So when I first ran the scan, we were the third most competitive company for the keyword mobile pet grooming. But I looked at the dots over here and said, okay, there's a lot of dots that are light green and yellow and orange that we need to flip.
00:57So what I did was I clicked on the competitive report over here, and I came to the, so like this is from a, you know, a few days ago, but this is 8.11. This is how the map looked. We were the third most competitive company over here.
01:08I looked at all these dots and clicked on, you know, position four over here and said, okay, who's ranking at the very top within the Glens Falls area? These are my top competitors I need to focus on.
01:19So I went through the, you know, from like a Metro perspective. So I used ChatGPT, I used Microsoft Copilot and a few other AI tools as well to kind of really summarize where the key areas within this grid for me to really focus on.
01:30Once I saw that, I then added those areas onto the website. So I talked to the business owner and said, instead of saying like, hey, we do Saratoga Springs and Glens Falls, I got really specific and said, list off all of the nearby towns in between there, because people do live there.
01:46And you don't want to, you don't want to overlook those areas. A lot of times I see this within local SEO. People will only focus on the big metros because that's where the most people are.
01:53Instead, I focus on areas of winning. So, you know, someone might be commuting into a bigger city for work or vice versa. Maybe they live in a bigger city and then they go out somewhere else.
02:03The point is you want to be within the radio city service because that's where the phone call can come from or website click or potential booking.
02:10So anyway, I focus on those dots immediately and I added that to then the website. My client does a great job. They're adding those areas into their social media profiles.
02:21They're very active there. And we added them to the service areas and also the description too.
02:26And now when I look at the heat map for 827, look how much greener this is. We are the top player over here.
02:32So if I go back into this, again, this was the one I showed us position four over here. If I go back into now today, we're position two, which is awesome.
02:41So again, this is what's leading to more impressions, website clicks, potential bookings for them, et cetera.
02:48So really in summary of kind of what I do, let me go back into the local Falcon scan over here.
02:53And I'm going to explain this in a little bit of a clearer way.
02:57When you initially start with the scan, you want to look at who is the top competitor.
03:03So I already saw these two in the yellow line over here where the green and the yellow, these were the top two.
03:08So I had to take share away from them. And then we kind of did, which was over here, which was on 817.
03:15That's when I noticed that some of the changes that we're making were actually having a positive impact.
03:18Even though we dropped after that, we were still so much higher than where we were when we started back on 811.
03:23And now today as I said, if I zoom out, you'll see now we've overtaken these two competitors.
03:28So we're taking share away from them.
03:31As I always explain this to potential clients, even my current client list as well, is that we have to get into the top three.
03:37And to get into the top three, that's a page one ranking.
03:39You're going to have to knock out some competitors.
03:42So you're always looking to take share away from some competition and to get your business featured there.
03:47So you get the impressions, you get the phone calls, you get the website clicks.
03:50It is extremely competitive. Every industry is different.
03:53And this one is not as difficult as other ones I work with.
03:56That's why we're seeing results so fast within the first month.
03:59What else I like to do within Local Falcon, I'll just scroll down over here.
04:01I like to uncheck everyone.
04:03And I think it's just a lot easier to see how the project that you're working on is doing.

04:14All right, let's go back up to the top.
04:15So here's their line graph growth.
04:18I'm going to change it to a bar graph just to kind of show this a little bit easier.
04:21But this is really what you're looking for.
04:22You're looking for changes that you make to the website, social media profiles, Google business profile to really micro target these areas that you service.
04:30Are you growing the share of local voice?
04:32And if you are, again, that should result in more website clicks, phone calls and more for your business.
04:37One final note.
04:40So I did kind of explain this is that this particular industry is not as competitive as others.
04:45So if you are a dentist, if you are a plumber, if you are a locksmith, a nail salon, you know, an orthodontist, et cetera.
04:53You will probably notice that these results don't happen as fast, but it's still the same thought process of, OK, look at the map.
05:01Look for areas you can really include on your website.
05:03Make the changes to social media profiles.
05:05Make the changes to Google business profile.
05:07Rerun the scans.
05:08See if your strategy is starting to pay some dividends for you.
05:11And then look at your top competition as well.
05:13But then, of course, you can look at ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot or Google AI or anything else like that to get an idea, you know, based off this heat map scan, you know, what areas I just really focus on to maybe grow my share of local voice.
05:24But anyway, in this video, I really want to just kind of explain my thought process, how I look at this.
05:28Again, these are unusual results because I have them so quick because most of the clients I work with are in very competitive fields.
05:35This one we're able to change really quickly.
05:37So I want to record this video.
