00:00Hi, I am Priyajam back. Today I am going to make modak which is Ganpati Bapa's special. He loves it.
00:15So today I will teach you how to make the modak and give it as Prasad on Ganesh Chaturthi.
00:21So let's start. I first heat the pan. I take 250 grams of Mawa that is Hoya.
00:30And 150 grams of sugar. And I mix this mixture for 10-15 minutes.
00:48Now we add in half a teaspoon of cardamom powder.
01:00See guys this mixture has become nice and liquidy.
01:03And stir it till it becomes into a soft ball.
01:08The mixture is so well cooked that it is not sticking to the pan.
01:12Now you have to keep this mixture for 3-4 hours to get it cooled.
01:16Putting this mixture into this bowl to let it cool.
01:19It has to be cooled for minimum 4-5 hours.
01:22The mixture is cool and nice and crumbling.
01:29So now I will mold it.
01:30You get these molds very freely available in the market in any utensil shop called the modak molds.
01:36I will just taste it with very little ghee so that it doesn't stick.
01:41I will put some pistachos.
01:46Put in the Mawa mixture.
01:51Close the mold like this from all two sides.
02:02And then fill it from below.
02:11Now we open the mold.
02:18This way we will make leaven modaks.
02:21Decorate it with dried red rose petals.
02:23The prashadam is ready.
02:25And you can give it to Ganpati Bapa to eat it.
02:28So once again Ganpati Bapa Moria.
