00:00Previously on The Apprentice, the candidates were shocked to see that Sam had returned to the sweep, and Jason had been fired.
00:09Frustrated with Sam's antics, his team elected him project manager.
00:13You think they maybe made you the team leader to...
00:15That is possible.
00:16Well, you know how that doesn't happen? If you win.
00:19Either he's incredibly brilliant, or he's half nuts. And he's hilarious. I love him.
00:24Meanwhile, Protégé was having problems of their own.
00:27Shut up!
00:27As tempers flared between Omarosa and Catriona.
00:30Life's too short to be a bitch.
00:33At the task delivery, the candidates were asked to prove their negotiating skills.
00:38Today we're going to be discussing negotiation.
00:41While the women of Protégé easily bargained for their island.
00:44Go, go, go, go!
00:47The men of Versicore faced some bumpy roads.
00:51As Sam drove his team absolutely crazy.
00:55I'm going to give him the phone number.
00:56I do not want you to give him the phone number.
00:59When the figures were tallied up, the women easily won.
01:04I'm starting to think that I may never hire a man again.
01:08The men went to the boardroom for the third consecutive time.
01:12As project manager, Sam was held partially responsible for the team's loss.
01:16But he blamed Bowie and Kwame and selected them to be fired.
01:21I respect everyone at this table.
01:23I have not earned the full respect.
01:25Isn't it over, Sam?
01:27I hope not.
01:28I have no choice.
01:29You're fired.
01:32Thirteen are left.
01:34Who will be fired this week?
01:36Money, money, money, money, money.
01:45Money, money, money, money.
01:50Money, money, money, money.
01:50Some people got to have it.
01:55New things, new things, new things.
01:59Bad things, baby.
02:00Dollar bills, y'all.
02:04Come on, man.
02:05Be, don't need me.
02:10Great.
02:12Almighty, darling.
02:13I don't know that money.
02:17Give me a nickel, brother.
02:20Can you buy that?
02:22Money can drive some people out of the door.
02:27Money, money, money, money.
02:29We were absolutely dying to see which one of the guys was fired.
02:47But every single one of us would have been in complete shock had it not been Sammy.
02:51Oh, my God.
02:52I give it all away.
02:53That's a nice greeting to come home.
03:00All right.
03:01Sam was a cancer to everyone in this suite.
03:03I think the girls hated him more than any of us ever thought of.
03:07Wow.
03:08Kwame and Bowie walked in the door, and they rejoiced like the munchkins in The Wizard of Oz.
03:14Ding dong, the witch is dead.
03:16I don't think so.
03:17There are weaker players on this team than Sam, and I'm pissed.
03:22I would have been embarrassed if I was let go before Sam.
03:25If I'm let go before you guys, I'm okay.
03:28Oh, yeah.
03:29It was a witch hunt to take down Sam.
03:32This spick of her.
03:34Yes!
03:35He'll get his vengeance through me.
03:37Good morning.
03:57Our destination is Times Square.
04:01Troops, all teams need to be ready at 8 a.m.
04:04Destination Times Square.
04:06No further details.
04:07Here he comes.
04:19Here we go.
04:21Nice.
04:26Hello, folks.
04:27Hello, Mr. Trump.
04:28We're in the middle of Times Square, one of the great landmarks of the world.
04:33Behind me is Planet Hollywood, started by some movie star friends of mine.
04:40It's a massive 50,000-square-foot restaurant with over 250 employees.
04:45The women will manage the restaurant tonight, the women will manage the restaurant tonight, the men, tomorrow night.
04:51We're going to determine who made more money compared to the same time last year.
04:56My associates, George and Carolyn, will be keeping a close eye on your progress.
05:02As you know, a lot of business is done on golf courses.
05:06I, myself, have closed many major deals there as a reward.
05:11The winning team is going to go to the best golf course in New York State, Trump National Golf Club.
05:18The losing team, you go to the boardroom.
05:22And you know what the boardroom means.
05:24That means somebody's fired.
05:26Good luck.
05:28The men are a lethal weapon right now because they don't have Sam.
05:36And I'm more scared of them now than I was with Sam.
05:40We cannot lose now.
05:41I mean, if we have to walk back in that boardroom, it is going to be 100% complete embarrassment.
05:49Let's talk about who's going to be projectator.
05:51I nominate Kwame because you've displayed some wonderful leadership skills in the advertising campaign.
06:01I'm up for it.
06:02Nick backed away and said he'd prefer not to be leader.
06:05That showed, to me, a lack of confidence.
06:06So I don't think he wanted the pressure.
06:08I'll back Kwame up.
06:09I'll back Kwame up to win.
06:11Let's do it, buddy.
06:12I nominated Kwame because two out of the three team leaders that have led the past three tests have been fired.
06:19So I'm expecting for the same thing to happen with Kwame.
06:21If we lose this task.
06:24I really want to dress sexy and cute.
06:28I own and run a restaurant.
06:30But we've decided on Katrina as our project manager.
06:33Katrina and I will work together.
06:35She's still going to be project manager.
06:37But I'll probably be restaurant manager.
06:39We sold $1,300 worth of lemonade.
06:41And it was bad.
06:42And our lemonade sucked.
06:44I've started to be a little more sensitive to the girls.
06:47Engage them a little more.
06:48It's making them drop down their guard and be more accepting of me.
06:53Check this out.
06:54They've got the space to handle large crowds.
06:56But she's being sweet.
06:57She's being really, really nice.
06:59And I can't say that I think it's sincere.
07:00I think it's part of her strategy.
07:01I think that if you're alienated, you start learning really quick that you can't keep going at that pace and think you're still going to be around.
07:07Two, three.
07:08Action!
07:08This is our main dining room right here.
07:26The bar is on the other side of the room.
07:28Do you want to take a guy to two?
07:29Um, hold on.
07:30Let's split up to groups.
07:32Right when we got there, we separated into two groups.
07:34Amy, Erica, and I met with Roland, who's the general manager.
07:39This is the bar area right here.
07:40How much of your business does you borrow at night?
07:43One thing sparked our interest right away.
07:45Only 25% of his sales is liquor.
07:47In restaurant terms, liquor is a huge profit margin.
07:51300%.
07:51This is where we need to be.
07:57The girls in there know the product.
08:00We just need to bring them over to those girls.
08:02The biggest problem plan that Hollywood is having is you have 30,000 to 40,000 people walking across the street, but they're not coming in.
08:08There's Omarosa, Tammy, and the three of us.
08:11So our job, we're going to bring them in, not only to focus on the food, but to buy the merchandise.
08:17You guys, come here.
08:22We have a great idea.
08:24Okay, Planet Hollywood Shooter and Shirt Girls.
08:26I have a good idea.
08:27Walk around with shots and t-shirts.
08:29So mark it, meet the Planet Hollywood Shooter Girls.
08:32Love it.
08:33What do we mean?
08:34Esporting everyone upstairs.
08:35Let a Shooter Girl escort you.
08:37Exactly.
08:38Shooter Girl escort you.
08:39Beautiful.
08:40Because we have enough women.
08:40That's a good plan.
08:42I cannot.
08:43To get this started.
08:44Extra small.
08:45Cool.
08:45We modeled our idea of the Shooter's Girls after the Hooters Girls.
08:50Hooters is so successful.
08:51Why?
08:52Because of the women.
08:53Here we go.
08:54Sex does sell.
08:58Once you make a deal with someone, it's really important to carry it through.
09:04You start developing the wrong reputation, it makes it impossible to make future deals.
09:09Once you shake hands, that should be it.
09:15Hey guys, come on in today.
09:20We have a special today.
09:21Five dollars off a meal.
09:23I got some new t-shirts.
09:25It's on.
09:26It's fun.
09:27Play the Hollywood.
09:29Woo!
09:29Get your sweatshirts now.
09:32It was confusing to me because no one knew what was going on really.
09:35And then when George tried to corner Katrina, our project manager, to see what was going on.
09:39Because we're passionate.
09:40Passionate.
09:41We're passionate.
09:41That's our motto today.
09:42She really couldn't coherently articulate what the plan was because she really was just flying by the seat of her pants.
09:48What do you think?
09:49Try it on.
09:49Come on in.
09:50Try it on.
09:50Come on in.
09:51Try it on.
09:51It's not working.
09:53Oh, Plant Hollywood's the best restaurant.
09:55People are laughing.
09:56Okay, let's talk about why, Erica, what you can do to help us out here.
10:01Erica actually came up with the idea for us to head over to where the tourists pick up their tickets for plays and movies and hand out coupons for the restaurant.
10:12Come in.
10:13Why don't you take order?
10:15Take order.
10:17I was like, well, this doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
10:20It's a very slim chance that the coupon will actually come back to the store that evening.
10:26Let's do it.
10:30Hi, you guys.
10:31We're having a huge party at Plant Hollywood tonight.
10:32No cover.
10:33$5 off the drinks.
10:34$5 off the food.
10:36Awesome, awesome, awesome.
10:37There's drafts for $12.
10:38And you get to meet the Shooters Girls.
10:41Meet who?
10:41The Shooters Girls.
10:43It's a tougher job than I expected because the crowds here are used to getting coupons, so we don't know how well that's working.
10:49Time to Plant Hollywood tonight!
10:52Plant in Hollywood!
10:53What time do you guys get off work?
10:55They're off now.
10:55Now?
10:56How many are there?
10:57$2,000 of you?
10:59Yeah.
10:59We'll hook you up.
11:01Stop down tomorrow.
11:03How do we get you tomorrow?
11:04It's not tomorrow.
11:05Not tomorrow.
11:05Do not go to Plant in Hollywood tomorrow.
11:07Only tonight.
11:08Only tonight.
11:09Because tomorrow it's closed.
11:10Oh, it is?
11:10Yeah.
11:12I feel like I'm pimping it out.
11:14I think the women are falling apart at the seams.
11:20It's a high-pressure business.
11:22I don't think they're going to be able to handle it.
11:24Can't stand the heat.
11:25Can't stand the heat.
11:26Get out of the kitchen, baby.
11:27After the girls had left to go on their task.
11:31We did a lot of team bonding.
11:34We did a little bit of basketball.
11:36There you go.
11:36And then we pulled out Donald Trump, the game.
11:40Open the bidding.
11:43Force of sale of any property.
11:46I will take 40% ownership of the hotel and the casino.
11:48Give you 60% ownership.
11:50Never.
11:50Never give up ownership.
11:51We're playing the game, and Bill decides to pipe in on my negotiations.
11:55You never give up ownership.
11:57That's the first rule in real estate.
11:59No, I'm keeping mine.
12:01Therefore, I said, okay, I'll pipe up when he's negotiating.
12:04What you got for me?
12:05That sports complex does you no good.
12:07Never give up ownership.
12:07What kind of car do you have?
12:08Never give up ownership.
12:09No, no, what kind of car do you have?
12:12You don't.
12:13You started the phase.
12:14Stop if you'll stop.
12:16Shake on it.
12:17Bill stood up, and he says, let's make a handshake on it.
12:19Let's not talk while the other person's negotiating.
12:22I pay out if I play in my cards.
12:23I get everything that makes money.
12:24I get 30% of it.
12:26But you can sell it in sandbags.
12:27What happened to the handshake?
12:29You can't back up your handshake.
12:31I was trying to help you out.
12:31I'll agree.
12:32Bottom line, if I have to work with Bill, I will.
12:35But Bill broke the handshake deal.
12:36Bill's a snake.
12:42This is our new waiting area.
12:45I'm just setting it all up.
12:46Isn't this a good idea?
12:47Are people fucking?
12:48When the girls got back from Times Square, I was bringing tables downstairs.
12:54Yeah, actually, right here is our fast service for appetizers.
12:57Right here?
12:58But I could tell Katrina was irritated that maybe I went ahead and did something and didn't
13:03consult the group.
13:05Come on right over.
13:06Jess?
13:07They want to go upstairs.
13:08Would you like to go all the way up?
13:10Yeah.
13:10Okay.
13:10Have a great dinner.
13:12The tables downstairs weren't being effective.
13:14So I approached Jesse and I said, shut it down.
13:18And she took great offense to that.
13:19Well, if you want to change it, you're the leader.
13:22So you tell me.
13:23You're obviously getting mad that I'm thinking on my own.
13:26No, I'm not getting mad at you.
13:27All I'm saying is that I've been told four times because this is a bad idea.
13:30Why are you spazzing out?
13:32Are you upset because...
13:33I'm upset because you're upset.
13:35I'm not upset at anything.
13:37I think that you're getting frustrated because something isn't working right and then you're
13:42just trying to find fault so that you have something to blame it on.
13:45I think Jesse was upset because she wasn't leading.
13:48And that saddens me because I was more supportive when she was the leader.
13:53When all of us are trying to work as a team and I feel like one person doesn't really
13:56agree with what we're doing, that's what frustrated me from the beginning.
13:59But I think all of our ideas that we came up with were all the same.
14:02With the last three tasks, I knew from the very beginning we were going to win.
14:06But with this one...
14:08I don't know.
14:11I don't know.
14:11Why go to a show when you can come to Planet Hollywood?
14:19You can hear me sing it now.
14:22Five beers for $15.
14:25Right now it says retail, net sales, $18.
14:28Oh, good.
14:28That's for retail.
14:29That's for tonight?
14:29From 5 o'clock on?
14:31No, no, no.
14:31This is from the entire day.
14:33It's from the moment we opened.
14:35Last year we did about $3,300.
14:37But we've only made $200 in the last two weeks.
14:39Those numbers are not good.
14:41Based on last year's sales for retail, they're not good.
14:45Cross your fingers.
14:56We're going to do some shots?
14:58One, two, three.
14:59Cheers.
15:00Alabama Slammers are easy.
15:02I mean, I'm a girl and I could do about 10 of them.
15:04We need the money and it's slow downstairs, so we're focusing on the alcohol.
15:08Because $20 for a t-shirt, it could take you up to 25 minutes to sell it.
15:12I can sell $20 in shots for three minutes.
15:16One, two, cheers.
15:18Cheers.
15:19Another round, baby.
15:21Heidi was the all-star queen of selling shots.
15:24If I owned a bar, that woman would be on every night selling everything I had.
15:28You guys can drink.
15:29You can handle it.
15:30I've done like three shots already.
15:31Now.
15:32This is what Heidi does.
15:33She brings the trailer.
15:33She's like, get the shot, shot, order the shot, get the shot.
15:36And then they'll order the shot.
15:37You can do it.
15:38Go.
15:39Go.
15:39No.
15:39No.
15:40No.
15:40Zip.
15:40All right.
15:41Okay.
15:42All right, guys.
15:44You got a whole bunch of shots.
15:46People were buying rounds of shots.
15:49One guy bought an entire tray of shooters.
15:52Just for you.
15:54Woo.
15:55That's a lot of shots.
15:56That's okay.
15:57Ready?
15:58Go.
15:58Go.
15:59Go.
15:59Go.
16:00Go.
16:01There was a group of men that bought us shots and at that point, we let it all go.
16:05And it was probably a mistake, but...
16:08One, two, three.
16:09Hurry up.
16:10Cheers.
16:10Woo.
16:11Do a good night.
16:12Wait, wait, wait.
16:12One more.
16:13Woo.
16:14I didn't do that one again.
16:16I'm really out of control.
16:18You can hold it.
16:18You're a big guy.
16:20You're beautiful.
16:20Am I not a big guy?
16:22You must be the kicker on a football team, no?
16:24Yeah.
16:25I could tell the managers were a little uncomfortable.
16:28This is not traditionally what they do.
16:30We have this thing for responsible alcohol management.
16:33Zero drinking, my moron chef.
16:35And we've got to be careful.
16:36We're liable for whatever happens to these people when they leave this building.
16:40If they leave a break and they pass out on the street, then it's going to be our answers.
16:43Ladies and gentlemen, this is last call.
16:45This is 200.
16:47Okay, two.
16:47I think that we were successful with the shots, but that was probably only about a tenth of the revenues that were brought in.
16:55So, I don't know.
16:56I think this is going to be a tough call for who wins.
16:58You haven't seen much from me, but I'm waiting, waiting patiently, sitting in the wings, watching others take the lead.
17:22These people will eliminate themselves one by one.
17:26Good morning.
17:27How are you?
17:27Good morning, my lady.
17:29How are you?
17:30Oh, very tired.
17:33We should be, uh...
17:35We'll be right now.
17:35Yeah, right now.
17:36Hey, guys.
17:37Break the leg.
17:38I mean it literally.
17:40Because you're all alone.
17:41The bottom line is, if we win, great.
17:44I'll go play some belt.
17:45If we don't, we'll be back in the boardroom room.
17:48I'm feeling quite comfortable.
17:58Today, we're running Planet Hollywood for a day.
18:01I feel like I've got to deliver a victory.
18:03I mean, this may be the last chance for the men to chalk up a win.
18:07Nice to meet you.
18:08How are you?
18:08Troy, nice to meet you.
18:10And so it's on the line, and we're going to try to do it.
18:15Would be 25,000.
18:17That'd be a great night.
18:18Would be a great night.
18:19We need to have as many people kind of on the front lines as possible.
18:23Just a skeleton crew on the interior.
18:25Right.
18:25I just want to miss...
18:26Troy and I are basically the street team.
18:28We're trying to get traffic into the restaurant.
18:30And Nick is also working closer doing street team activities too.
18:33You going up?
18:33Yep.
18:34Good stuff.
18:35Huh?
18:37And then Buoy's working the merchandise counter,
18:39as well as the front door greeting people.
18:41Come on into Planet Hollywood.
18:44Food, drinks, souvenirs.
18:46What more do you need from Times Square?
18:48And then Bill is basically meeting with the staff,
18:50going over the incentive program we have for the sales team.
18:53Whoever can ring up the most gross sales per hour gets $100 that hour.
18:57You can win it again two hours later.
18:58You can win it again the next hour.
18:59Well, I got the right guy up here.
19:01Yeah.
19:01So what do you guys think?
19:03Do you think we can make this happen?
19:04Yeah!
19:11How are you guys?
19:12We're having a pretty big shindig going on one day only.
19:15We're going to have some drink specials.
19:16We're going to have some food specials.
19:17Do you have a drink with you now?
19:19You want a drink right now?
19:21Let me see what I can do to get on the floor.
19:22What's that drink you want?
19:23A vodka and grapefruit juice.
19:25Buoy, this is Troy.
19:26Buoy, this is Troy.
19:27I need to get a drink order.
19:28I need a vodka and grapefruit juice.
19:30Make it two if it's not too much.
19:31Two?
19:32All right.
19:32Hold on.
19:33Hey, Troy.
19:34No, you can't take alcohol outside of a restaurant.
19:36So you can do other stuff.
19:38But you can't serve alcoholic drinks outside.
19:40You want t-shirts and stuff?
19:42I'm with the street team at Planet Hollywood.
19:44We just want to make an announcement real quick that there's a big party.
19:47Go ahead, go ahead.
19:48Do it right up here?
19:49Go ahead.
19:49That's just because everybody's on stage.
19:51Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to New York City.
19:53Let's go ahead and start boarding on the bus and get everything ready.
19:57I've got $5 gift certificates off for any dinner or any drinks.
20:01And I've also got t-shirts for sale.
20:02Does anybody want to buy a t-shirt?
20:04We've got them in black and white.
20:07Third floor, bar and lounge.
20:09Drink specials.
20:10Come on in to Planet Hollywood.
20:12Only tonight at Planet Hollywood, you have got to go tonight.
20:15$5 off a burger only tonight.
20:17This is big.
20:17This is big.
20:18How can y'all pass up his face?
20:20I mean, you passed it up.
20:21Come on, help a redhead out, man.
20:23Here's to the happy couple.
20:24She needs a drink, man.
20:25Let's bring her upstairs in some specials.
20:27She's my sister.
20:28Uh-oh.
20:29I'm not redhead.
20:32Man, it feels real crazy.
20:34But hey, I love it right now.
20:35I'm out there heckling people, charming them, trying to just yell and get their attention
20:39and bring them in the door.
20:46They're just not getting enough people up here.
20:48They're just handing out flyers and yelling, come into Planet Hollywood.
20:51I think Donald Trump would have a heart attack if he saw that happening.
20:56Numbers.
20:57In retail?
20:57About $150.
20:58Last hour, $150.
21:00Oh, my God.
21:01It's not good.
21:02Bowie was going to handle the merchandise.
21:04Selling the patrons and working the floor up here to try to push the glassware and the
21:08sweatshirts and the t-shirts.
21:10Merchandise is killing us.
21:11Merchandise, we're down half.
21:13Ladies, would y'all like a picture to remember y'all's experience tonight?
21:19That's okay.
21:19We don't want to remember this night because we're working.
21:22I don't want to be working.
21:23No, it's all right.
21:24Okay, thank y'all.
21:25Would y'all like us to get a picture of y'all remembering y'all's experience?
21:28We got keychains for six.
21:29You know what he said?
21:30And post-ray.
21:32We need to step it up.
21:34What do we have?
21:35Worth about $5,000.
21:36For the date?
21:37For the day.
21:38For our 4 o'clock shift turn.
21:39I'm going to officially hit the 5 o'clock.
21:41Yeah.
21:41We're improving, but we're still not where we need to be.
21:46We need to be at about $3,000 an hour, so we need some magic to happen here real quick.
21:53I mean, we need to get more people in there, bottom line.
21:55We've got enough people in the house.
21:58It's time to do something drastic.
22:00Right now, we need to be hopping.
22:02We need to be popping like a frog on a hot plate.
22:05Mama, what you got to do is we got to figure out a way to create a buzz.
22:07We got to keep it working.
22:11We're going out for two reasons.
22:23One, two, because we deserve it.
22:29All right, ladies.
22:31Lose!
22:32Please, let us win!
22:33We're for boys to lose.
22:35Oh, my gosh!
22:38All right, guys, so what do you think the boys are doing right now?
22:41Yelling.
22:41Yeah, but without yelling.
22:42And I bet Kwame is like, in my MBA class, we came up with a case study for something like this.
22:49And analyzing numbers, I'm really trying to implement a very sophisticated strategy and system.
22:54Yes!
22:54Yes!
22:55Here we go, Kwame Jackson.
22:59Ladies and gentlemen, I got three autographs.
23:00Kwame Jackson, I got a New York native, Wall Street's finest.
23:03After a while of just doing the $5 off and realizing we weren't getting the buzz going in,
23:09I came up with a creative spark of genius.
23:12All right.
23:12One, two, three.
23:13There it is.
23:14All right.
23:15Get an autograph from Kwame Jackson.
23:17Who's Kwame Jackson?
23:19He's New York man, and he works on Wall Street.
23:22That's who Kwame Jackson is.
23:23Come on now, get your autograph, Kwame Jackson.
23:26Kwame Jackson, get your autograph.
23:27What's up, man?
23:28Come on.
23:28People come to me and, you know, hopefully think that I'm worth giving an autograph,
23:32and then they come into the restaurant and they look at their $5 off car and hopefully use it in the restaurant.
23:39B?
23:41We were doing great with it.
23:43Hell, he even started selling merchandise, signing Kwame Jackson.
23:47$12 for the basketball and $5 for the baseball.
23:50Am I still signing something for your sign?
23:52Let's go toward any sort of charity.
23:54Just playing a holiday.
23:55I'm here tonight only.
23:56Right away!
23:58What's up?
23:58They look like f***ing sh**ing sh**ing sh**ing idiots.
24:01I'm following you, Bill, because I'm not going to be part of that.
24:04At the present moment, I am thoroughly embarrassed at what some of them have stooped to,
24:09to selling balls and misleading people,
24:12to think that Kwame Jackson is some type of sports hero.
24:16All right.
24:17That's great.
24:18You just pay $7 as a writer, so great.
24:20I'll explain to Mr. Trump that I don't do business like that.
24:23If it's turned into a circus like this, then, you know, he might as well fire me.
24:27Drink specials of Planet Hollywood.
24:29Half-price drink specials of Planet Hollywood.
24:31I haven't really been with Nick all day, but he's just kind of checked out on this task.
24:35And for someone to check out on the task is more than a landmine.
24:38It's, you know, a hole in the ship.
24:40Happy hour prices to the Planet Hollywood.
24:42This is stupid.
24:44She gave me a number for last hour sales.
24:50Now, when I added up, I came up with a large number.
24:52We've got a pretty full restaurant going right now, so I'm hoping that once these checks close out,
24:56people are going to be in the neighborhood where we need to be for victory.
24:58We've got 14 minutes?
24:59Yeah.
25:00All right, we're getting close.
25:01We've got 14 minutes to get people in to order dinner still.
25:03We've got a lot of open checks, so I think we've got to...
25:05Bill looked like the project manager, not Kwame.
25:07Without a doubt, I think Bill picked up the slack completely.
25:10Let's get these guys in here for dinner.
25:11The kitchen's still open.
25:12Let everyone know.
25:13Happy hour's still open.
25:14Full menu going till midnight.
25:16Full menu.
25:17It's coming down to last call, so we all move inside and we start working the crowd.
25:22Yeah!
25:23Jaegers, four Jaegers and Red Bulls.
25:25Playing cards, golf balls, basketball.
25:29I've got a dessert tray coming.
25:30I'm going to have you go table to table.
25:31I'll sign one for you, $12.
25:33Pepperoni pizza.
25:34It's not Andrea's table.
25:35Jason Russo, we need a pepperoni pizza for your table up there.
25:38Six bucks.
25:39All right.
25:40I think we're going to be all right.
25:41I think we're going to come real...
25:42I mean, it's going to be damn close.
25:44We don't know if we hit the hole in one.
25:45We'll find out in the morning.
25:46But I think it's going to be a photo finish.
25:49Last call, everybody!
25:50Last call in the bar!
26:00Running that restaurant was the hardest thing I've ever done.
26:07But golfing will be fun.
26:09We're not going to be in the boardroom.
26:13I'm feeling fantastic.
26:14I'm feeling absolutely great.
26:15I'm looking forward to it, VT.
26:17I'm coming to play on your course.
26:18All right, folks.
26:37I've received some very interesting reports from Planet Hollywood.
26:41Let's start with the men.
26:43What's going on, Carolyn?
26:44Last year's revenue was $13,168.
26:47This year, they did $14,069, a 6.8% increase.
26:55George, how did the women do?
26:57Last year's revenue was $12,592.
27:00This year's revenue was $16,537,
27:04which represents an increase of 31.3% over last year.
27:08I think that's pretty good.
27:10I think that's pretty amazing.
27:11Again, again, the men are taking a beating.
27:15And what happened?
27:17I mean, what's going on?
27:18The women focused more on the bar, the biggest dollars.
27:21They spent way more time inside the restaurant selling drinks and merchandise
27:24rather than hawking $5 coupons outside.
27:27Both the bar and lack of merchandising hurt you quite a bit.
27:30Because there was this happy hour, trying to generate people to get up there,
27:33but then there was nothing that happened there.
27:35Well, for a great reward, the women are going up to what a lot of people consider
27:41the best golf course anywhere in the state of New York, Trump National.
27:46And you're going to have a lot of fun.
27:50The men, you're going to your suite, and I'm going to see you at the boardroom in a little while.
27:55Someone is getting fired.
27:56As a team leader, I'm not going to do any speeches.
28:15I think everybody knows what they did and how much weight they pulled, and we'll go from there.
28:20I think the mood in the house right now is mainly just shock.
28:24Everyone's kind of going, what the hell just happened?
28:27How did we lose that again?
28:29Remember that time when your dog got run over and you're a little kid?
28:32That's how I feel right now.
28:33I feel like a pet was just killed.
28:34There's a lot of business deals done on the golf course.
29:00Not that people are really talking about business so much, but it's really a social sport,
29:05and the more you get to know a person, the higher the probability you're in close deals
29:08because people do business with people that they like.
29:11Oh!
29:12I don't know how to do golf.
29:14I can't fake it.
29:15I don't like golf.
29:17To be honest with you, I'd rather watch a football game.
29:20We spent about 30 minutes at the driving range, and then we headed out to the 13th hole,
29:25which had a waterfall and is absolutely breathtaking.
29:30Thank you very much.
29:38Hello, folks.
29:39Hi.
29:39You know, I've had something on my mind, and I really want to talk to you about it,
29:43so let's go into Carolyn's office, okay?
29:46When Mr. Trump said, I need to talk with you all, I didn't know what to expect.
29:51Now, I don't want to ruin your day of golf at Trump National, but I have something to say.
29:56You are smart, dynamic, and attractive women.
30:00You beat the guys fair and square, but you're coming a little close to crossing the line,
30:06relying on your sexuality to win.
30:08Well, it's unnecessary.
30:10Carolyn?
30:11Things like that aren't going to get you the job here.
30:14I want to know that one of you may be president of one of his companies.
30:18Anyway, good luck.
30:29How are you?
30:30Hello.
30:32Hey.
30:32How are you?
30:33So the golf course was nice?
30:34We got laid into today about the sexuality thing.
30:37They actually had to say to us too much sex, and that's embarrassing.
30:42I mean, if being attractive is wrong, then we did something wrong.
30:48We had this situation where I came up with an idea that I'm going to tell everybody,
30:51get your autograph from Kwame Jackson.
30:52They asked who he was.
30:54I said, he's from New York City, and he works on Wall Street.
30:56That was all I said.
30:57And this kid bought this ball, and he thinks he's got an NBA player's autograph.
31:02Who said NBA?
31:03Was it borderline great?
31:05You know it, and I know what it was.
31:06Nobody said it was great.
31:07Wait a second.
31:08I did nothing wrong.
31:09If someone asked me who I was, I'd say Kwame Jackson from Charlotte, North Carolina.
31:13I'm not going out.
31:14I'm a little boy.
31:15His father makes $5 an hour.
31:17His father had to work two hours to get that ball.
31:20I didn't sell a kid crack.
31:21Wow.
31:22It's not over.
31:24Nick, you're walking away in the middle of this game.
31:26You're grandstanding like Sammy.
31:28I don't mind being back in that board.
31:30I guarantee you, Kwame's going to bring me in there.
31:32But I've formulated a wonderful defense if that happens.
31:39We're going to get a brow beating tonight.
31:42We've eliminated half of our team.
31:44What happened, though, is we've been kicked in the n*** so many times that we're just disarrayed.
31:49And we're making stupid mistakes.
31:51Today is a very somber mood in the loft among the men.
31:56We're going to face the boardroom again tonight.
31:59Kwame's going to have to pick two guys to bring into the boardroom session with him this evening.
32:02I think I could go up, and I think of another one that should go up.
32:06Oh, well, there's always one obvious.
32:09Nick was not motivated for this one.
32:11He faded and just failed at the very end.
32:13I think this one's going to get pinned on Nick, and I think it should get pinned on Nick.
32:16You know, merchandise didn't do better, but I bet you I did better than the girls did last night.
32:20But we took responsibility for merchandising, and there was definitely a failure in the plan
32:25because we did not capitalize on the merchandising.
32:28They're going to eat me alive.
32:30Who knows?
32:30We just got our asses kicked.
32:32That's all that happened.
32:34If I was project manager and I was taking someone else up, I'd take Kwame up.
32:37I don't think he did a great job of leading it.
32:39There was really no one in charge of the bar, and I think that was an error there.
32:43Oh, God.
32:56Okay, fellas, so what happened?
33:20As team leader, first of all, excuses don't explain and explanations don't excuse,
33:24so I'm not here to offer any today.
33:25Where it seems like we got beat was at the bar.
33:27With being outnumbered five to eight, we weren't able to assign more resources to help build
33:31in the restaurant itself.
33:33So that's where we got beat, and I think it was really because of numbers, and I think
33:36we executed our strategy well.
33:38I got the feeling from all of you, all you're trying to do is protect your ass.
33:42You weren't really looking at whether you were going to win this one.
33:44You didn't have the manpower.
33:45Work harder.
33:46Move faster.
33:47When the women were there, everybody was smiling.
33:50Nicky looked like you were dying out on the street and said, what am I doing here?
33:53I disagree with that 100%.
33:55I was happy.
33:56I was upbeat.
33:57I brought a significant amount of traffic in that day, especially through a younger crowd,
34:02mid-20s, late-20s.
34:03Let me ask you something.
34:04How many coupons were redeemed?
34:06It wasn't a ton.
34:07Okay, you're five very intelligent people, and three of you were busy giving $5 coupons
34:13instead of being in the operation, seeing what could improve the operation, like increasing
34:17your bar and merchandise sales.
34:19Take your seed money and hire some.
34:20That's why you see people walking around with those big, you know, placards, giving cards
34:24away, because management's not going to do it.
34:25They're too busy.
34:26They're too valuable.
34:26Bill, who do you think did the worst job in the group?
34:29I was inside the restaurant the entire night.
34:31I did not have a pulse on what was going on out there, so for me to make a decision like
34:36that, it's not fair.
34:38Who do you think, Nick?
34:39Who blew it?
34:39Kwame.
34:40Why?
34:42There was a tactic that was used later on in the evening that I didn't agree with, and
34:46that's what I'm basing this decision on, about one of the sales tactics to get people
34:50in the restaurant.
34:51What was the sales tactic that you didn't agree with?
34:53They had a table, basketballs.
34:56It was kind of like he was a celebrity.
34:58Get your autograph, signed autograph by Kwame Jackson.
35:01I just thought it was misleading.
35:03All right, Troy, what's the answer?
35:05Well, I would have to absolutely say Nick.
35:07I didn't feel the smile and enthusiasm off of Nick.
35:10I think Nick does wonderful, but he was disappointed yesterday.
35:13All right, Bowie, who?
35:14I hate to say this, but I truly think operating the worst, I would have to say Nick.
35:18Nick was doing great early on, and then he lost it.
35:21He lost his motivation, and it dropped away, and I'm a big fan of staying positive all the
35:26time.
35:26It's a little discouraging to see members of my team behaving in a way that I would never
35:30do something like that.
35:32Like who?
35:33Kwame and Troy, with that whole sales play.
35:34That'll deflate anybody.
35:36How can I stay upbeat when that's going on?
35:39What about when that little kid who just spent 12 bucks on a ball goes home in the internet
35:42and looks up Kwame Jackson and doesn't see anything?
35:45It was the same idea of capitalizing, like the women capitalizing on their sexuality.
35:49I had some balls, and basically I signed them, and I never told anybody I played a sport
35:53that I was in any team.
35:54I said, I'm Kwame Jackson from Charlotte, North Carolina.
35:56That was it.
35:57What happened?
35:58What happened?
35:58You lost.
35:59What happened?
35:59We lost.
36:00We lost.
36:01We lost.
36:01You lost.
36:02Obviously, there were some areas of opportunity that we could have improved upon, but since
36:06Troy took the lead, the end result was a loss.
36:09Now, Kwame, you're the team leader.
36:12Who are the two people that you think did not do a good job?
36:15I think Nick, because he just checked out of the game, and that disappointed me, a tougher
36:19choice is to say Bowie, because if I look at Troy as an A-plus effort in terms of his
36:24creative ideas and his energy on the street, and I look at Bill in terms of his A-plus
36:28effort and his ability to manage the restaurant all by himself, I have to say that Bowie,
36:32relative to those two A-pluses, was an A, but underperformed, and so that's why I have
36:36to say Bowie and Nick.
36:38All right.
36:39Then Troy and Bill, you go up to the suite, and Kwame, Bowie, and Nick.
36:43You three guys go outside, and we'll call you back in a minute.
36:47Thank you, Mr. Trump.
36:49Thank you, Mr. Trump.
37:20I hate to lose Nick.
37:21He is not a team player.
37:22I tend to agree with you, George, where I don't like the fact that he's taken himself
37:26out of the game, and whenever something doesn't go his way, he just removes himself.
37:29But you could make the case that Kwame did a lousy job as the captain.
37:34Yet I still think Kwame's got a lot of leadership qualities, and I wouldn't like to see him go.
37:38What about letting go of Bowie?
37:39He's very energetic, enthusiastic.
37:42But he was in charge of merchandising, and that was a total failure.
37:46Tough choice.
37:47It's a tough call.
37:48Let's just talk to him again.
37:50Robin.
37:51Let him in.
37:52Okay.
37:53You can come in now, guys.
37:53Kwame, as the team leader, why wouldn't you be fired tonight?
38:11Why wouldn't I be fired as a team leader?
38:13Because if I had to judge my performance relative to Nick's, I think that I outperformed.
38:18May I speak, Mr. Trouble?
38:19I would argue that there's some type of...
38:22They're trying to eliminate me.
38:23They're trying to eliminate me.
38:25If we're...
38:26Okay, go ahead.
38:27I believe I'm the strongest here, and I am a born leader.
38:30Now, yesterday was a bit embarrassing.
38:32I'm not going to participate in shenanigans like that.
38:35Were you in favor of it or not?
38:37At first, no, I wasn't in favor of it.
38:39If you ever want to say if I was 100% in favor of it, no, I was not.
38:42But at the end, you were very much in favor of it.
38:44Not very much.
38:45Some, but I was not...
38:46I was promoting the happy hour, because I knew that's what was bringing up...
38:48So you were teetering a little bit.
38:49That's right.
38:50I was teetering.
38:51I was walking the gray line.
38:53This is a very, very tough choice.
38:55There's no clear-cut decision here.
38:59Kwame, you did a lousy job in leading.
39:01The women beat you up.
39:03You made some questionable ethical decisions.
39:06But I really believe you have a lot of potential.
39:11So you live for another week, and we see.
39:14You, Bowie, really have shown a lot.
39:20I'll be honest.
39:21But you failed miserably in merchandising at Planet Hollywood.
39:26Nick, you gave up on your team, but at times you've shown great potential.
