00:01Previously on The Apprentice, for their task, the candidates promoted a new toothpaste for Procter & Gamble.
00:07Step right up, get some toothpaste, and a chance to win five grand.
00:11Mosaic created a spectacle, but it was Apex who hit a home run with Mike Piazza.
00:17I've been using Crest since I can remember, and I've never had a cavity in my life.
00:22I'm like, oh, not only was that perfect for our campaign right now, but he's just flawless.
00:27Even though Procter & Gamble preferred Apex's campaign, Apex made a fatal mistake.
00:33You actually went $5,000 over the budget.
00:36I didn't find out about this until just now as we were walking in this room.
00:40So you were the project leader and didn't even know about being over budget?
00:45In the boardroom, Elizabeth chose Maria and Stacey Jay.
00:49So why is Stacey here?
00:51I can tell you the real reason.
00:52In task one, Stacey acted in a manner that led us to believe that there could be possibly a second personality to Stacey.
00:59She was putting her hands on her thing like this, and her whole demeanor changed.
01:02She walked up and she's like, you.
01:04And what do you know?
01:05The bottom line is I am not crazy.
01:07This really comes from two people, Stacey, that don't like each other at all.
01:11It's the first thing they've agreed on is that you're crazy.
01:13Who else saw this?
01:14Everyone in our team saw it.
01:15Everyone saw it.
01:16Well, I'd like to bring them back in.
01:18One by one, Apex turned on Stacey Jay.
01:21I would never have Stacey running one of your organizations, Mr. Trump.
01:25It was borderline schizophrenic.
01:27It was one of the most scary moments of my life.
01:29I'm not happy with Elizabeth.
01:31I think she stinks as a leader.
01:33But beyond that, I don't need a person that's got a problem working for me.
01:39All right, Stacey, I just can't have it.
01:41You're fired.
01:42Fifteen candidates are left.
01:47Who will be fired this week?
01:49Good night.
01:50ä¹…ene sound
01:54Money, money, money, money
01:57Money, money, money, money
02:02Some people got to have it
02:08Some people really need it
02:12Listen to me, y'all
02:14New things, new things, new things
02:17Bad things, with it
02:19Dollar bills, y'all
02:23Come on and leave, oh, leave
02:28Make great, almighty dollar
02:32I don't know that money
02:35Give me a nickel, brother, can you sell that?
02:41Money can drive some people out of the mall
02:46I love how it goes in, no good
02:50Money, money, money, money
02:53We're gonna party
03:09Who do you think is getting fired tonight?
03:12I think Elizabeth
03:14I think Elizabeth
03:15If I were a betting man
03:18I would guess that Elizabeth might find her head on the block
03:23And the guillotine coming down on it
03:25Who's gone?
03:28Stacey J
03:29Tell us
03:30It came out that she had that strange episode on the first task
03:33So it came out that she had an episode
03:35What happened?
03:36And then you all verified it and then she was fired
03:38Yep
03:39That's it?
03:39Yes
03:40And who said she had an episode?
03:41About what?
03:42What happened?
03:42How did it come out?
03:43I said there was something that happened during task one that freaked everybody out
03:48And then he said these two hate each other
03:50So if they're agreeing, then it must be true
03:52None of you guys are equipped to know whether or not she's actually psychologically unstable
03:55Any of your teammates ever made you feel threatened?
03:57Yes, yes
03:58But we were sitting there saying when it happened that we felt threatened
04:01And we said it today in the boardroom that we felt threatened
04:02But nobody ponied up and went and did anything in between
04:06That's true
04:06The fact that it's even an issue
04:08The fact that it's even on the table pisses me off
04:11Because that's saying, well, hey
04:12You guys are giving your opinions about something that you guys actually
04:15Unless I'm wrong, does anybody have any experience?
04:17Like, psychological, as a psychiatrist?
04:19It's gonna be the fatal issue
04:20It should be brought up in a timely way
04:22It should have
04:23You should have
04:24You should have brought it up
04:25That's my whole thing
04:25Yeah, you guys should have stayed on this point
04:27It should have been like, hey
04:28We are all scared
04:29Something needs to be done
04:30It's not how it came out
04:31It came out because all of you were threatened about being fired
04:34And so you used that against her
04:36I think what Kevin's saying is we kept it on the back burner until timely to use it
04:40Stacey J is not the reason we lost this task
04:43And I think the team really wanted to make her a scapegoat
04:46I just think Elizabeth did a terrible job as a project manager
04:49She dodged a bullet
04:50To be clear, everyone
04:51I was focused completely on the task
04:53She was responsible for two things
04:57Getting the product and distributing the product
04:59Neither one of those two things were done
05:01Whoever it was, Carolyn or Donald Trump said that's not why the team lost
05:05They said that
05:05But you still brought her in
05:06Because I brought in the two people that underperformed most on the task
05:10There was this huge misunderstanding about why I took Stacey J into the boardroom
05:17They sort of blamed both, like, just everything on me
05:21You must have had an unpleasant day today, huh?
05:24I can't even talk about it, to tell you the truth
05:25I felt like I had been kicked in the stomach
05:30And I was not sure I was going to be able to get up
05:34Wow
05:36Yee-haw
05:39We were all doing our job independently of any kind of leadership
05:43You couldn't make any decisions
05:45I should have told you what I was doing
05:48You tell me one thing
05:49You tell me one thing I failed you on
05:51This is crazy!
05:52Most importantly, get off my designer suit
05:54Elizabeth, it's almost as if she'd never had anyone not like her before
05:59So I think she was very burned and bruised
06:01It's been delusional all freaking day
06:03Because Stacey was a direct
06:05I had examples of how you did not know what was going on
06:07Jen was after me
06:09It became an opportunity to get the team against me
06:13I'm extremely frustrated
06:15Taking jabs
06:17I mean, I've never felt more uncomfortable in my entire life
06:20I'm not getting in your sandbox
06:21I'm not getting in the sandbox with you, Elizabeth
06:23Grow up
06:24Well, that's Roger
06:47Good morning, it's Rona
06:48Mr. Trump is at Jean-Georges Restaurant
06:51And he'd like you to meet him there at 9 a.m.
06:53Thank you, bye-bye
06:54John George, how's business?
07:02Business is amazing
07:03I mean, there's so many people
07:04Everybody's coming in
07:05All the stars, everybody's coming in every night
07:07We need you in Chicago
07:08I'm building a building in Chicago
07:10Bill's going to be very much involved with the building
07:13To put it mildly
07:14We're going to have you as part of the project
07:15Thank you so much
07:16Very good
07:24Good morning
07:38Today, George Ross is away on business
07:42So the newest employee of the Trump organization, Bill Rancic, will be filling in for him
07:47You're in Jean-Georges Restaurant
07:50In my opinion, the finest restaurant in the country
07:53The bible of rating restaurants is the Zagat Survey
08:00The survey asks customers to rate restaurants on food, service, and decor
08:06Each team will start with a chef and an empty restaurant property
08:11By tomorrow night, you have to transform these empty spaces into beautiful restaurants
08:18The winning team will be the one that gets the highest Zagat ratings based on their customer reviews
08:26Kevin
08:26You've led your team to victory
08:28You were the project manager
08:30So if your team goes back to the boardroom
08:33You're exempt
08:34The losing team will come to the boardroom where somebody will be fired
08:39Good luck
08:40Have fun
08:41Enjoy the restaurant business
08:56The theme that we've had over and over and over
09:00Is just simple, creative thinking
09:04Our method of choosing project managers has been to draw names out of a hat
09:08Rather than spend a lot of time arguing about it
09:10Jen-C had drawn her name
09:11May I say, as a project leader, I am adamant
09:15We're going to keep this simple
09:17I would look for a fabulous Italian
09:19Italian is so basic
09:20I know, but
09:21I have grown up in Italian
09:22I am sick of
09:22But the food should be better
09:2330 years of my life, I eat Asian, Indian, everything else
09:27I love Asian fusion too, but what if the shop sucks
09:29It's Asian fusion, period, executive decision
09:31The decor will go good
09:34Wait, wait, wait, guys, we are a nobody
09:36So we need to establish ourselves quickly, but also
09:39Stacy talks too much
09:41She's one of the most irritating people I have maybe ever met
09:47In 31 years of my existence on this planet
09:51I don't care how long or longer we discuss this
09:54But we should be on the phone with them right now
09:56Go get on the phone with them
09:57Go get on the phone with them
09:57Alright, do it
09:58We select on the men's team the project manager
10:09By putting our names into a bowl
10:13One of the names you picked out
10:15Mine was the name
10:17Alright, man, let's do it
10:20Set them up
10:21I think the place has got a lot of potential
10:23I mean, it's got a lot of windows, which is good
10:25And now it's just a case of putting everything together
10:27I wish I was the project manager of this one
10:29I worked in restaurants my whole life
10:31I was a waiter
10:31So this is really my forte
10:33You guys want to go over a couple things real quick?
10:36Yep
10:36You come up to the table and you greet the people
10:38Welcome to 99 Bank Street Grand Opening
10:40I'm training the guys right now from a mental standpoint
10:43On how we want to go about schmoozing that client
10:45Or that customer
10:46You start a bull**** conversation with them
10:48Just small talk
10:49Oh, yeah, hi, this is nice
10:50You want to ask them where they're from
10:53Hey, where are you guys from?
10:54And then they're going to say
10:55Well, I'm from the village
10:56I'm from Bumble**** New York
10:58It doesn't matter
10:58Whatever they say
10:59You go, really?
11:01Oh, that's nice
11:01You wait for them to say
11:02Well, what do you recommend?
11:04What do you recommend?
11:06I hate the public, bro
11:07I hate them with a passion
11:10But I know how to play the game
11:10He has great spirit
11:12For being the person in charge of customer service
11:14I had faith
11:16That he could
11:18Swallow his disgust
11:21And make nice
11:23I hate the public
11:24Please, Chris
11:25I hate the public
11:26I know how to turn it on and off
11:29That's the difference
11:29Right?
11:30Man, I hope you just do it
11:32It's easy
11:33Seven West
11:38Here's our restaurant
11:39Here it is
11:42When I first walked in the location
11:43On 20th Street
11:45I liked how it was simply laid out
11:47Long and narrow
11:48I liked it
11:49So what do we have to do?
11:51Let me figure out if I can
11:52That's a thing
11:54I can't physically do anything
11:59Without an extra phone
12:00And a computer
12:00So we're going to go back
12:04And just do all the paperwork
12:05From there
12:06Where are we going?
12:07To the loft
12:08I was pretty fired up
12:10Because I just felt like
12:12Someone didn't think through strategy
12:15Someone didn't think through execution
12:16Someone didn't think through managing the task
12:18And that someone is Gen Z
12:20Hey, ladies
12:21Where's the little munchkin?
12:22We're going to go back to the suite
12:24We're setting up the restaurant for tomorrow
12:39We're having a professional clean
12:41We're going to have them clean the entire place
12:46Get ready for tomorrow's opening
12:48Tomorrow we're going to execute
12:49And I think this is going to be an easy task for us
12:51I don't know
12:56I didn't look closely at like the awning or anything
12:58What were you doing?
13:00Cleaning?
13:01The place is clean
13:02It's clean already?
13:05Ours isn't?
13:06No
13:06We haven't been able to do that
13:08I know, but is it dirty?
13:11Say it needs to be cleaned
13:12Maria?
13:33Maria?
13:35Raj is so smart
13:36Being a leader of that team
13:38And just thought
13:39I am not cleaning
13:40And here we are
13:41At four in the morning
13:42Cleaning
13:43While we were scrubbing the floors
13:45Mosaic had hired someone
13:46To clean the entire restaurant for them
13:48Gen Z doesn't get it
13:50She doesn't get it whatsoever
13:51In order to pull opening a restaurant off
13:54You need to be in tip-top shape
13:56And there's no way we're going to be in shape
13:57On an hour and a half of sleep
13:59I think if we pull it off
14:00It's not going to be because of her leadership skills
14:02I can tell you that much right now
14:04The word leadership is always hard to define
14:14Because you see so many different people
14:16That are so different
14:17And they're great leaders
14:18Hello everybody
14:20But the quality of a great leader
14:22That I've seen that's common to all
14:24Is respect
14:25There's nothing like real estate
14:26It beats paper stock certificates
14:29And I think it's a great market
14:30People have to respect you
14:32Or you cannot be a leader
14:34How you know, folks?
14:50Half an hour, we're out the door
14:51Our task is to open a restaurant
14:54And the objective is to get the highest ratings
14:57In a zagat survey
14:58I think I had less than two hours of sleep last night
15:03It's so frustrating to come home
15:06And see the guys dead asleep
15:07Getting six to eight hours of sleep
15:10And we're getting, like, two to three
15:12It's really getting frustrated
15:13And we're the ones losing
15:14Let's go
15:17I'm ready
15:17Don't yell
15:18Maria, I'm leaving you
15:19Maria
15:20Here are the markers
15:28It's on Grand
15:29Between Mercer and Green
15:31Are you, are you, are you this meat vendor?
15:34Are you the meat vendor?
15:35I need to pay you
15:37We are receiving plates
15:39Silverware
15:40Tables, chairs
15:42Tablecloths
15:43Cups
15:44Glasses
15:45Everything that we need
15:46To sort of set up for the day
15:48No, I have a dip CDR
15:49With the, with the menu on it
15:51This is
15:51Redonkulous
15:53What's the newspaper do?
15:59In case I drip any paint
16:00Oh, you, you're painting?
16:01Yes
16:02Do you have any autistic ability?
16:03I was an artist
16:04I don't know what that makes me
16:06My father's a mechanic
16:07I've got to change the gas in my car
16:09You've got a good training
16:09By volunteering, uh, to work on the look and feel of the restaurant
16:13Definitely put a, put a target on my chest
16:15If something went wrong
16:15What is that, puppy brown?
16:17Yeah
16:17It's just starting like this
16:21Emotionally, how are you feeling?
16:23Emotionally, how am I feeling?
16:24I'm feeling like getting this done
16:25Where are you going, dude?
16:26I knew if this place came off
16:27And didn't look good
16:28And people weren't impressed
16:29I was going to be sitting in the boardroom
16:30I think it was awesome
16:36Perfect
16:39I'll be honest with you
16:40I like it
16:41Oh, yeah
16:41That's perfect
16:43Bro, John, his paintings came out really good, man
16:47They had a good touch
16:48Hey, John
16:54I'm going to take, um, Maria
16:56And Stacy R
16:58And me
16:59Um, can I have Jim
17:00M2
17:01We're just going to go promote the crap out of this right now
17:02I don't know
17:04I can't give you Jim M
17:05Okay
17:06Well, just know that the less people I have
17:07The less flyers that go out
17:08I am in charge of the promotions
17:10If we don't get people in this restaurant
17:12We're not going to get surveys done
17:14And if we don't get surveys done
17:15We're going to lose the task
17:16And then whose fault is it going to be?
17:18They're going to, they're going to blame it on me
17:20God
17:20Don't worry
17:22Elizabeth, seriously
17:23Get your job done
17:25You're not okay
17:26Do you want to come do planning with me?
17:29What happened?
17:32I'm just being put in a position to fail
17:34I'm just going to ask you guys
17:36You know what?
17:38I am
17:38You know what?
17:39It happens to all of us
17:41I have
17:41It has happened to all of us
17:43It's happened to all of us
17:44I definitely feel like
17:46I'm not myself
17:48I just feel like I can't do anything right with this team
17:51Truthfully, I think I'm going to be made to look like I'm incompetent
17:55I just want to go market this stuff
17:57I just want to go market
17:59I don't want to spend any more time on this, you guys
18:00Flyer girl is all upset
18:02Because she hasn't had enough time to pass out these pamphlets
18:04Advertising the restaurant
18:06And, you know
18:07In my opinion, she needs to get over it
18:09None of us have enough time to do what we want to do
18:11But just get over it, move on
18:12Okay, let's go
18:13Let's go
18:14You said you wanted to get changed
18:25Why don't you go out?
18:25You probably would be good
18:26No, I need to stay here and oversee
18:29It's some project manager
18:30Okay
18:33See, you just rolled your eyes at them
18:35No, I didn't
18:35I didn't roll your eyes
18:36I'm just taking a deep breath
18:37I swear I'm not rolling my eyes
18:38I'm, like, thinking
18:38Jen C is extremely emotional and irrational
18:41And she's not a good leader on this task
18:43Jen C has a very explosive, argumentative personality
18:48You need to get dressed
18:49That's the priority
18:50They asked me for an address
18:51And I have to write down for them
18:52No, get dressed
18:53This one won't listen
18:55Excuse me
18:56You won't listen to me
18:57I told Jen C from the very start
18:59That in order to have my respect
19:00She needed to earn it
19:01She has not earned my respect
19:03I have done everything you've asked
19:05Don't walk away from me
19:07You know what I mean?
19:08Please, why are you going to argue with me?
19:10It's just
19:10I'm not arguing
19:11All I said was
19:12Shep
19:12Evani?
19:19You're going to certainly enjoy your time with us tonight
19:22We're going to have a fantastic dinner
19:23So right this way
19:23We have a great chef lined up
19:25Actually, they're
19:30So we've got big install
19:30We're getting into the big territory
19:32So I'm assuming you're just going to pour a glass
19:33Okay
19:34I think there's still disputes brewing within the team
19:37But I think everyone recognized
19:38That we really needed to focus and get the job done
19:40I think we all had a very common goal tonight
19:42Which is to win this task
19:44We're preparing this table right here
19:45Just especially for you
19:46So why don't we go ahead and head that direction?
19:49I was in charge of decor
19:51And I feel like I really came through for my team
19:54The restaurant looks beautiful
19:56I really think it came out ten times better than anybody expected
19:59We made all these
20:02What is it?
20:03We painted
20:04This is a flower
20:05Yes, it's a real flower
20:07It really is
20:08We just got this at the carton
20:09I'm not really quite sure
20:11It's like a cactus kind of
20:12Isn't it neat?
20:13What do you think of the decor?
20:19For me, it's a little too strong
20:23Two old ladies
20:26Completed about how bad the decor was
20:29That would point to the job Sandy did
20:33And I can't help, though, to back Sandy up
20:35I loved it
20:37I'm surprised they spread in an Asian kind of restaurant
20:41Well, it's fusion
20:42So it's everything
20:44Enjoy your appetizers
20:50We're being graded on three things
20:57The food, the decor, and the service
21:00When the customers leave
21:01They have to fill out their survey
21:02We need to get the customer to give us the best grade
21:05How were the appetizers, by the way, honestly?
21:08The salad was limp
21:09Was it really?
21:11It was warm
21:12It wasn't chilled
21:13Okay
21:14We thought this was a little boring
21:16My goat cheese had a little, uh
21:18Like it was out for a while
21:21Like the air made me outside hard
21:23Okay
21:23I'll make sure the chef knows
21:24We had four gay guys
21:26That were on the way to the theater
21:27And, listen, there's nothing wrong with it
21:30But they're gonna critique more than anybody else
21:33They're into fashion
21:34They're into stuff like that
21:35We try to be nice
21:37I think we might have a small problem with these games
21:40What?
21:40I think we might have a small problem with this table
21:42I'm fatiging
21:42I want you on to maybe
21:44I want you on to maybe give them a little
21:47Table, table seven
21:50So they were really giving us a hard time
21:53Anyone in to help us?
21:54So I'm like, John, listen
21:55You gotta do
21:56You know, you're the best looking guy in the bunch
21:58I said, untie your shoe
22:00Walk over by the table
22:02Turn around
22:03Bend over and tie your shoe
22:05I mean, we need something here
22:07Mark Michaels out of Orlando
22:09What kind of fur is that on your chair?
22:13I think it's a cat
22:15Where we're using sex?
22:22Well, I wouldn't say sex
22:23We're using whatever advantages we had
22:27Soup was good
22:30Why, if you've got something that people like
22:32Would you not use it?
22:33All right, thank you
22:34This is a limited room
22:35A round of t-shirts
22:37I don't know who can squeeze into a medium
22:38I'd be even like extra small
22:41All of a sudden
22:41They were like butter and a hot knife, man
22:44They loved it
22:44John, you came through
22:45You guys, you want to check out a great meal tonight?
23:01We have a special menu
23:02If you'd like to look at it
23:03So is there anything else?
23:05Good, good, good
23:07That means you're welcome
23:09Good, you're really happy
23:11Good, good, good
23:13All right, enjoy it
23:14I want to keep you
23:15Okay
23:15I did notice that there were clumping of the girls
23:26I would take the phone outside if you don't mind
23:29Anytime I saw clumping
23:31Or if someone sort of came to me
23:33To talk to me for an extended period of time
23:34I would appoint them to a different post
23:37It looked really, really bad
23:39And so I was trying to disperse the girls a little bit more
23:42Just trying to get them either out of the seating area
23:45Or into the back
23:46This gentleman right there
23:57Just kidding
23:59When it came to waiting tables
24:03I was an assistant waiter
24:04A balser, the bread guy
24:06And also the olive oil guy
24:07And, you know, I pretty much suck
24:09This is the charred big eye tuna
24:11This is the charred big eye tuna
24:14Ladies
24:15I have no clue
24:17I was just making it up
24:18The good thing was, though, is that
24:19We were having fun with them
24:21And they had a lot of fun with us
24:22Could I ask you for one thing, guys?
24:25Because you guys are going to leave me
24:26Could I have a knife?
24:30The last customer is gone
24:37It's like melting in my mouth
24:46It's like falling off the phone
24:48It's so good
24:49I knew going into this task as project manager
24:52When I had a nip in the bud
24:53Was the cattiness and the backstabbing
24:55It's one of the things I'm great at
24:57Is bringing people together
24:58I did it to the best of my ability
25:01We don't need someone where we're, like, vultures
25:04I didn't think that Gen C inspired us
25:07I think the team's opinion throughout the task
25:09Was that we're working really hard for one another
25:12And for the team to win
25:13I think we launched the restaurant in spite of Gen C
25:16You can see how when you run a restaurant
25:17It really means a lot to have a good staff
25:19I mean, it's all about the staff
25:20How does he end up getting on instead of manning?
25:23Good morning
25:49Good morning
25:50You were asked to open and manage a restaurant
25:54And based on the customer reviews, how did they do?
25:59Bill?
26:00I have Apex review from Zagat
26:02And this is what they had to say
26:05Creative pan-agent cooking with a light touch
26:09Provides the wow factor at this flat iron bistro
26:12Not the stark modern setting
26:14Where some complain about the uncomfortable chairs and tables
26:18Critics cite slow, uneasy service from beginner staff
26:22With too many women in black milling around
26:25Like a bunch of uptight stewardesses
26:27Nonetheless, well-wishers awarded this delightful newcomer an A for effort
26:32So we have the food score of 22
26:35A decor score of 16
26:38And a service score of 19
26:40For a total of 57
26:4257
26:43Okay
26:44Carolyn, how did the mosaic do?
26:47This is what Zagat had to say
26:49Off to a good start
26:50This enjoyable West Village corner spot
26:53Offers delicious contemporary American food
26:56And creative stylish decor
26:58That overcomes the itchy fur-covered chairs
27:01Though not ready to quit their day jobs
27:04These hot eye candy waiters
27:07Are clearly anxious to please
27:09Overall, fans say once they work out the kinks
27:12This could become a star restaurant
27:15Their food was a score of 22
27:16Decor was 18
27:19Service 21
27:21For a total of 61
27:23Well, that's very impressive
27:31We are now moving up to higher octane shoes
27:34That's very good
27:35That's very good
27:36So, Apex, what do you think?
27:39How do you feel about that?
27:40I'm very surprised at that
27:41I think we ran a tight ship
27:43It was the tightest our team has ever been
27:46I mean, I'm a little bit shocked
27:48All right
27:49To run any good company
27:50You have to be a leader
27:52Mosaic, as your reward for winning
27:54You're going to be meeting
27:56One of the greatest leaders in the country
27:58Rudy Giuliani
27:59And he's going to be sitting down with you
28:02And talking to you about leadership
28:04And Apex
28:06I'll see you back in the boardroom
28:07Somebody will be fired
28:09Now, this is my wife, Judith
28:27Very nice to meet you, Pamela Day
28:29Nice to meet you
28:30Nice to meet you
28:30Nice to meet you
28:31Your wife, Judith
28:31It's a pleasure
28:32We got to go to the office of former mayor Giuliani
28:35Who has been an instrumental figure in so much
28:389-11 and turning New York City into the beautiful city it is today
28:42We got to kind of see pieces of his life
28:44His office is very much like a museum
28:46Here's something that I always kept on my desk when I was the mayor
28:49If you want everybody else to be accountable
28:50You've got to be accountable
28:52So what would you like to know about?
28:54I'm curious on an opinion of yours regarding leadership
29:00The most important principle of leadership is knowing what you believe
29:04Because when you're in a crisis, you have got to know what's really important to you
29:09Some of the things that Mayor Giuliani said that were kind of inspirational were
29:12You've really got to have a clear focus of your goals, your dreams, where you want to go
29:16And you can't compromise on moral issues
29:18All in all, it was a really, really awesome experience to go up there
29:22And definitely a thing I will remember for a very long time
29:25I think it was a question of leadership
29:30This is my favorite project manager I've had so far
29:34I've never met a bunch of witches that I wish I could fire more
29:39Stacy R. Kills me
29:42And Elizabeth is a new person
29:44She is weak, has less confidence in herself
29:47She is not the same person she was task one
29:50She's not going to bring Sandy in, is she?
29:56Nope
29:56You're right
29:57It's unfair
30:01Don't worry, you have people who've got your back
30:03I mean, you have me
30:04What else did they say on that damn review?
30:09It was those two old, Jewish, fat ladies
30:13Really, they were like the pinnacle of the New York, jaded, old bags
30:19Old s**t, who'd talk that s**t about the decor and kiss my ass
30:24I do not agree with the Zagat review
30:26If you had a different bunch of folk in that night rating it, they would have loved it
30:32And given it higher review
30:34Cheap, old bags
30:35Jen C said those two Jewish women ruined our survey
30:41And I was like, what?
30:45I have no idea where that came from
30:48They told me, you don't want us to write a review
30:50And actually when I was sitting there, they were like, when's the fun going to start?
30:54I'm Jewish
30:55And I'd like to understand Jen's motives
30:57Jen C's motives behind saying this
30:59They hated it
31:00They just hated it
31:01They were what they were
31:02And then I heard that she said the same comment to the entire group
31:05Regarding these Jewish women who I'm not even sure were Jewish
31:09So I'm just wondering what she's getting at here
31:11I heard that
31:12How'd she know?
31:15I'm not going to say it
31:16She didn't mean it in a derogatory way
31:18Well, I think she mismanaged us
31:20Can you stop causing controversy?
31:26I don't know what you're talking about, actually
31:27I was sitting right in back of you
31:29You're really, really
31:31Jen, I don't want to talk to you
31:33That's okay
31:34Okay, so then stay out of my conversation
31:36Stop running around here like you always do, wreaking havoc
31:39Want to know why we lose?
31:42It's the havoc wreakers
31:43Come on!
31:44You know what's funny is you think that you're popular and liked
31:47That's the funny part about it
31:48Well, at least you've made it obvious that this is a personal problem
31:50No, it's not
31:52You want to get personal?
31:53Call me a bigot, a racist
31:55That's getting personal
31:56You're going to go spread a divisive thing around this place?
32:00That's the word I use about you
32:01How interesting
32:01Why are you contaminating our living quarters?
32:05If Gen Z wants to bring me in the boardroom
32:07She better be prepared for what she's going to deal with
32:09Because it's not going to be fun for her
32:10Go, go, go
32:11Please
32:18Rudy Giuliani
32:48They spoke about leadership
32:49How was the leadership on this team?
32:53Ivana?
32:53There was some serious leadership lacking on this particular task
32:56And we didn't get a lot of sleep
32:59And so we didn't really perform as well as we should have
33:01Jennifer, you're the leader
33:03Yes, I am
33:04So what do you say about that?
33:05In regards to sleeping
33:06My father had taught me a lesson
33:08If I ever complained about working hard
33:10He would ask me
33:11Did you sleep last night?
33:13And if I said yes
33:13He said
33:14Then you had time to work
33:15But the men went out and hired cleaning people
33:18They were refreshed and you weren't
33:20You were tired
33:21You just didn't do the job
33:23I'll tell you where I think you went wrong
33:27I walked into the restaurant
33:29There is seven individuals in chic outfits
33:33It's not a chic neighborhood
33:34If you look at the people that walk up and down the streets
33:36They're in blue jeans, t-shirts
33:37What you were wearing
33:39Although you looked very nice
33:40Your restaurant environment absolutely did not fit the neighborhood
33:43Who was in charge of decor?
33:44I've been in charge of decor
33:45And it was beautiful
33:47I thought Sandy did a fabulous job
33:49You have to get this in your head
33:50You all looked gorgeous
33:51The restaurant looked gorgeous
33:52It was wrong
33:53Do you understand that now?
33:55And I'll tell you one thing
33:58The energy level in your restaurant was not high
34:01You were tense
34:02You guys were peering over the people as they ate
34:05Why are you saying yes?
34:07You're like acknowledging that you didn't do work
34:09I had to do a lot of thinking about what went wrong
34:12We were lacking camaraderie
34:13Where do you think that comes from though?
34:15Jen, you talk the talk
34:16There was alliances set up
34:18You say that your grandfather told you to work hard
34:21Not my father
34:22Your father, whoever
34:23I have yet to see you bust your butt
34:25As much as these six girls right here
34:27Mr. Trump, she's a finger pointer
34:29A lot of hot air
34:29And she never points the finger at herself
34:30Oh my God
34:31Why can't you women get along?
34:33I mean, it's
34:33It's amazing
34:34My biggest mistake on this job interview
34:36Is not
34:37Jen, Jen
34:37Easy
34:39There's seven women here
34:44Seven women can't work together
34:46I'm embarrassed to be a businesswoman right now
34:50Me too
34:50Jen, can't you stay quiet for one second?
34:53Sandy, who would you fire?
34:57Um, Mr. Trump
34:58It's a very difficult decision
35:01Do me a favor
35:02Just give me a name
35:02Who would you fire?
35:05Jennifer
35:05Maria, what do you think of the leadership of Jennifer?
35:11I think that the leadership
35:12Has talked the talk
35:14But not walked the walk
35:14I made decisions
35:17And I stuck to them
35:18More often than not on this team
35:20We change our mind
35:21And we doubt ourself
35:22I did not want that to happen
35:24All right, Jennifer
35:26Here's the story
35:28You can choose two
35:29Or you can choose three
35:30To come back into the boardroom with you
35:32What would you rather do?
35:34I will choose two people
35:36Who are the two people?
35:38Elizabeth
35:38And Stacy
35:41Sounds personal
35:43It's personal, clearly
35:45Apparently
35:45It's not
35:47Can I make a suggestion to all of you guys?
35:49Sure you can, Bill
35:50That first and foremost
35:51This is not a game
35:52And if you think that
35:54Aligning yourselves with each other
35:55Right
35:55Or pulling people into the boardroom
35:57For the wrong reason
35:58That's the quickest way to go home
35:59I'm telling you right now
36:00So you better make very certain
36:02No, I am very certain
36:03Don't interrupt me
36:03Okay
36:04Please
36:04Make very certain
36:05Why you're bringing these people
36:06Into the boardroom with you
36:07Okay
36:07All right
36:09Jennifer
36:10Sandy
36:11Ivana
36:12And Maria
36:13Go up to the suite
36:15Stacy
36:16Elizabeth
36:17Jennifer
36:18You go outside
36:19You'll come back in a minute
36:20Somebody
36:21Will be fired
36:37Carolyn, what'd you think?
36:52I don't know why
36:52Jennifer didn't pick Sandy
36:53She was the one responsible
36:55For decor
36:56Instead she picked
36:57Elizabeth and Stacy
36:58That was completely personal
37:00Completely personal
37:01What'd you think, Bill?
37:02I think Jen
37:03Needs to lead more by example
37:05And not just stand in the corner
37:06And delegate
37:07She didn't do anything
37:08Okay
37:09Robin
37:11Let him in
37:12Please go into the boardroom now
37:14Jennifer
37:32Why did you bring Stacy in?
37:33She didn't do anything wrong
37:34The reason why
37:36Stacy is here
37:37Is because it is
37:38As though it's a living thorn
37:40In my side
37:42I told Stacy yesterday
37:44No I don't
37:45For everything I tried to implement
37:46She would get in the way
37:48I tried to undermine
37:50And truly wreaked havoc
37:52This draws the line
37:54I mean she's bringing me in here
37:55For personal reasons
37:56I'm completely aware of that
37:57Why do you not like her?
37:59I would not want to work with her
38:04I would not want her working
38:06For my company one day
38:07Elizabeth
38:10No it's not personal
38:11Why were you brought back
38:12I have nothing personal
38:12Okay why were you brought back into the wood?
38:15Jen has spent all day
38:16Trying to find two people
38:17She could bring in the boardroom
38:18That she could pin this on
38:19So that she wouldn't get fired
38:20She came up with Stacy and me
38:22Okay
38:22From the last task to now
38:26I don't know what's happened
38:27With her personality
38:28Elizabeth was on the verge
38:29Of a little breakdown
38:30That's not true
38:31She did do this
38:32I was the one
38:33Who's responsible for promotion
38:35Jen deprioritized promotion
38:37I said Jen
38:38I think you're setting promotion
38:39Up for failure
38:40I was emotional
38:41I had to take her
38:42By her shoulders
38:42And say
38:43We are going into task
38:44You cannot do this
38:46You didn't do that
38:47I did
38:48You did not do that
38:50I just have a question
38:51If Sandy was in charge
38:52Of decor
38:52Which scored the lowest
38:53Why isn't Sandy here?
38:55Would you like to
38:55Because she did so much
38:57Not only did she
38:58Rent the tables
38:58Do the silverware
38:59She failed
39:00You just can't get it
39:01You failed
39:01You failed
39:02You failed
39:03Because of the decor
39:04And the service
39:04Okay
39:05Well then
39:05I am taking responsibility
39:06For Sandy
39:07Because I approve
39:09They're friends
39:10Jennifer
39:11You chose not to be a leader
39:13Your entire team hated you
39:16And when you had a chance
39:17To bring one person in
39:19Who really did mess up
39:21It was Sandy
39:23It was
39:24And you chose not to do that
39:25I regret it
39:26And you regret it
39:27Jennifer
39:28This is really easy
39:29You're fired
39:30Go ahead
39:38Go ahead
39:39Go ahead
39:39Go ahead
39:39Thank you
39:40Mr. John
39:41Thank you
39:41That was easy
39:57That was way too easy
40:13It was a no-brainer
40:14What do you think?
40:15I think she had to see that one coming
40:16I feel good about it
40:19Go ahead
40:21And we'll see you next time
40:23I'll see you next time
40:23When we started to run
40:24We'll see you next time
40:24Let's get to you next time
40:25We'll see you next time
40:56Stay tuned for scenes from our next episode.
41:04For more Apprentice, log on to NBC.com.
41:07I think I'm going to be a happier person in the end, knowing that I kind of played honestly.
41:14I wouldn't be happy.
41:16Like Sandy.
41:17Sandy was my best friend.
41:19Sandy had my back.
41:22And there she was in the boardroom, completely aligned with the other women,
41:26and threw my name in when she was definitely wanted Elizabeth to go.
41:34So I find that quite ironic.
41:37I learned a lot.
41:39Don't trust anybody.
41:41But I don't want to live like that.
41:42I still will trust people.
41:43I'll just be more careful about who I choose.
41:46Next time.
