00:00:25A story of community, of pride and of triumph against the odds.

00:00:30And this September, that story comes to life again on stage.

00:00:34And for the first time ever, rehearsed right here in Paradise.

00:00:40Big jock got the players wearing the jersey again with pride.

00:00:45And he told the press...

00:00:49They don't shrink to fit inferior players.

00:00:52How old are you, the director of Celtic the Musical?

00:00:54What does it mean to bring this fantastic show back in 2025?

00:00:58Uh, yeah. Amazing. Amazing.

00:01:00Um, fourth time.

00:01:03We started in 2016, we did it again in 2018, and then 2022.

00:01:08So, amazing. Comeback 2025.

00:01:11Uh, whole new ending, all the stuff that's gone on.

00:01:1425 years of dominance, really hitting all that sort of stuff.

00:01:18Rehearsing in Celtic Park.

00:01:20How's that?

00:01:23Julie, you've played the role of the mum every version of this show.

00:01:27You've also been in the Christmas ad.

00:01:29You're known to Celtic fans around the world with this show.

00:01:33But what brings you to come back to this every single time?

00:01:35Well, it's just that it is such a beautiful experience.

00:01:40I mean, it's great being on the stage, it's a great story, fantastic music, a brilliant band.

00:01:45But the fans that come to see us, it's like a big love-inj, you know?

00:01:51You just feel it from them.

00:01:52And, um, you go home and just feel, like, really, you know, it really lifts you, you know?

00:01:58Everyone feels lifted after the show.

00:02:00And, of course, um, you've spoken about those new things in the show 25 years of dominance.

00:02:04Tell us a little bit more about that and what can the fans expect to see who come along this time that have saw the show before.

00:02:10Yeah, so we're really keen to sort of hit it for Martin O'Neill and move it right up to now.

00:02:15It's 2025. I've got what year it was.

00:02:182025. Just hit that 25 years because it's such a fantastic era.

00:02:23Um, and it's nine years as we started, so we want to move the show on from where it was in 2016 and everything that's happened.

00:02:30Stephen, Alicia, you're both playing the role of Paddy and Rosie, the dad and the daughter, in the show.

00:02:36It's your first time in the show, Stephen.

00:02:38Tell us, how has your experience been of this so far and how much you've gotten forward to it?

00:02:42Well, I've been having a lot of goosebumps, you know, when you get to sing Celtic songs all day for a living.

00:02:47It's pretty decent, you know?

00:02:49So I'm excited, you know, my dad passed away in May and he loved this show.

00:02:54So it's probably the main reason that I'm involved in it and I really wanted to be involved in it as a wee nod to him, you know?

00:03:01So, um, yeah, I'm loving it so far.

00:03:05These guys are all brilliant, having a good laugh, you know, I mean, as it should be.

00:03:08So, yeah, it's great.

00:03:09Walked into this job and it's felt really familiar and it is lovely singing songs, you know, so it's going to be great.

00:03:16From Brother Walfred's vision to the modern-day champion, Celtic the Musical tells the story of the club like never before, with laughter, tears and all the songs you know by heart.

00:03:29Opening night is September 4th at Glasgow's Pavilion Theatre.

00:03:46So, just waiting for the teams coming back out for the second half.

00:03:51Callum McGregor and the rest of the substitutes out on the pits just now, which would suggest, um, Simon, that there's not going to be any immediate changes.

00:04:00But would Callum be one of the players you'd expect to see at some point in the second half, especially if the score remains nothing-nothing?

00:04:06Yeah, especially if the score stays at 0-0, Gerry.

00:04:09I think he'll look to the experience and the quality that he's got on the bench.

00:04:13Just had confirmation there will be no changes at half-time.

00:04:15Right, OK, so Yang's obviously recovered from his knock.

00:04:18Yeah, I think if it stays the same 15-20 minutes in, I think the manager will look to the quality that's sitting on the bench to come on.

00:04:27I think in an ideal world, we'll get an early goal in the second half and he won't have to lean on the guys there because obviously there's an important game on Tuesday.

00:04:34But I would suspect, around about the hour, Mark, maybe freshen up a little bit.

00:04:38Yeah, it's just worth reminding people about the substitutes.

00:04:42So in terms of from a mid to front, you've got Callum McGregor, Rayo Hattati, Johnny Kenny, Dyson Lader and James Forrest on the bench alongside Kieran Tierney, Colby Donovan, Cameron Carter-Vickers.

00:04:53So plenty of experience on that.

00:04:54The manager did say he'd made some changes with Tuesday's trip in mind just in terms of keeping the players fresh.

00:05:01It's a long trip, 3,500 miles.

00:05:04Yes, they will be, you know, they're not going to be travelling economy, so they will have a comfortable journey.

00:05:09But it's still, in terms of, you know, being an athlete at this level, they need to keep moving.

00:05:14So it will be something that will have an effect.

00:05:17No further changes to the Livingston side, but I imagine for both managers, it will be a case of freshening things up in the second half.

00:05:25Livingston haven't shown anything as an attacking force, but, you know, as the game goes on, tends to get stretched, set pieces.

00:05:30You never know what can happen.

00:05:32For Celtic, though, Simon, it's all about getting a goal as soon as he can.

00:05:35Yeah, definitely.

00:05:36I think from Livingston's point of view, David Martindale will stay in the game as long as he can,

00:05:41maybe look to push things forward towards the end of the game.

00:05:44He'll be happy that the onus is on Celtic to go and replicate that last 10, 15 minutes,

00:05:49cause a little bit of chaos in that back line against Livingston and take a chance or two.

00:06:17But Livingston, as Gerry has just said, they haven't really offered much.

00:06:22They have only won one of their last 28 away games in the Scottish Premiership, so they're going to have to do something to try and buck that trend.

00:06:31Hopefully, it's not going to be added to it today.

00:11:16And then he's the only one that follows in today.

00:11:18So great credit to him.

00:11:19And it's a fantastic knack to have as a midfield player

00:11:25Neil Livingston, in terms of trying to frustrate Celtic,

00:11:29the game plan for that will now go out the window.

00:11:36if they want to get a point or maybe more out of it.
