The Police Service says an extradition exercise conducted in the Southern Division....resulted in the deportation of two U.S. fugutives from this country to the United States.

00:00The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, the TTPS, says that two U.S. fugitives have been deported from Trinidad and Tobago to the United States as part of an ongoing initiative targeting international fugitives.
00:14The TTPS said that on Friday, August 22, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., two U.S. nationals residing illegally at Arjun Singh Drive, Palm East, were deported, a 33-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman.
00:31The TTPS noted that both individuals had been previously detained in the Southern Division earlier this week on Tuesday, August 19, and are fugitives wanted in the United States for narcotics trafficking offenses.
00:46The TTPS said the fugitives were escorted to Piaqua International Airport and placed on a U.S.-bound flight where they were handed over to American authorities.
00:55The TTPS said the operation involved officers from the Southern Division Task Force, Southern Division Gang Unit, multiple intelligence agencies, immigration personnel, and agents of the U.S. Embassy.
01:08On February 5, the U.S. Embassy announced that a permanent U.S. resident was extradited from Trinidad and Tobago to the United States to face charges for attempted murder and weapons possession.
01:19The U.S. Embassy said that that fugitive in February was escorted from Port of Spain to the United States by deputy marshals from the United States Marshals Service and special agents from the U.S. Diplomatic Security Service.
