The Police Service is now taking another step in acquiring new body worn cameras, as it is inviting firms to submit bids to get the contract.

00:06expressions of interest for the supply, delivery and commissioning of body-worn cameras.
00:11The TTPS provided specific details via a link on its Facebook page which said that firms wishing to express their
00:17interest in supplying the police service with body-worn cameras must be registered with the Office of the Procurement Regulator
00:24in this particular category and that all correspondence must be in English.
00:28There have been calls by the opposition, the Police Complaints Authority and activists for the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service
00:35to acquire body-worn cameras.

01:02The police service said the bids must be delivered no later than July 22nd of this year.
01:07However, the TTPS said that it may, at its sole discretion, extend the deadline.
