00:16Yesterday my husband and I had an incident. He was drinking holy yesterday.
00:21And last night before he leave home, he beat me and he hit my daughter as well.
00:27He leave home. But before he leave home, he lock up the place and he put out me and my
00:32daughter.
00:33About half past five this morning, I left home and he came home around 10 o'clock this morning
00:39and he see me wasn't home and he start burning my clothes and then he come and he burned down
00:45the house.
00:47She says she and the suspect have been married for 10 years and he only recently started drinking heavily
00:53and that's when life changed dramatically. She's encouraging women who may be in similar situations
00:59to leave when the abuse begins and do not accept apologies, saying they often don't mean things will improve
01:06but likely worse on.
01:08Since the year started, I made about three or four reports against him but I never liked food right
01:17because I didn't know it would I get this bad. I'm not feeling safe because I know it's my life
01:21next
01:22but I'm only afraid because when I accept the apology once, it don't mean anything.
01:30She's hoping the police capture the person responsible soon because she says she's worried
01:35her life will be at risk until that happens. The woman says when the fire officers arrived at the
01:40home this morning to extinguish the police, the suspect fled the scene and has been hiding
01:45from law enforcement since.
