The Homeland Security Minister says a large number of the 244 new Special Reserve Police officers will be assigned to protect "one of the most vital areas of our national life"...the public school system.
And the Local Government Minister told them they will be wearing a badge of service "not the badge of a Badjohn"....
00:00Most of you will be deployed in one of the most vital areas of our national life, our nation's schools.

01:07Rural Development and Local Government Minister Khadija Amin asked all of the new SRPs what they would do when they get power.
01:16You will not and you should not operate as a person without your power will operate.

01:33This is a badge of service, not a badge of a badge on.

01:43Serve with dignity, show compassion, treat every citizen the way that you would like to be treated, the way that your mother and father deserve to be treated, your brother, your sister.
01:58When people see you and the respect that you show to others and hear the genuine concern of others and your words, their perception will change.
02:09The TTPS said the new 244 SRPs comprise 146 men and 98 women.
02:18Personal integrity is not optional. It is essential.
02:25Each of you must commit yourselves to honesty, fairness and discipline in your daily duties.
02:31When every officer takes personal integrity seriously, together we create corporate integrity.
02:39Among those who attended the graduation ceremony for the new SRPs on Friday were Deputy Police Commissioner Junior Benjamin,
02:47Assistant Police Commissioner Dr. Andre Norton, Senior Superintendent of the Police Academy Ian Carty,
