00:00Sonic Double Trouble Golden Books.
00:02After the story boringly wastes pages unexplained for nothing that's based on Sadie M,
00:08somehow Sonic psychically has a feeling that something's wrong.
00:11So in this universe, he's got psychic powers.
00:15It wasn't even needed because Rota tells him Tails got kidnapped right away.
00:19How did that happen?
00:20He can fly.
00:22He had no excuse for staying that close to the ground,
00:24far enough from Knothole that there even would be robots.
00:27I guess he got grabbed from a bush.
00:31Sonic's dialogue is stilted as he states the obvious.
00:34If there's no time to lose, he should run off instantly.
00:37And instead he raises off in a Sonic spin,
00:40which would have him slow down immediately.
00:43Unless he did that at the top of a hill.
00:46There's more pointless words,
00:48and he says the bees would know where Tails is because one of them saw him get kidnapped.
00:53A swarm of them will lead him to a polluting factory.
00:57And distract the robots guarding it so the heroes can get into it.
01:01The robots would still hear the heroes getting into the factory.
01:05Robots would have better hearing.
01:08To keep Eggman away from them.
01:10Sally and Rota both send Eggman a message that a different factory is in trouble.
01:16Which I assume is a factory he has.
01:18How did both of them send him that message?
01:21If they took turns on the keyboard,
01:24it'd take longer.
01:26I guess the idea is it was Rotor's idea,
01:29and Sally typed it.
01:31Eggman knows it's a trick because when he gets messages from factories,
01:35he's told which one it's from.
01:38I guess that's forgivable because the heroes haven't used his computer,
01:41so they wouldn't know this.
01:43I wouldn't have touched the computer there.
01:45They would have looked complicated if the heroes were recognized from facial recognition cameras,
01:49and a message got sent to them,
01:51but that's why they decided to go there.
01:53Bunny spots Eggman and warns her friends.
01:55It's smart of Rotor to use roller skates to move faster.
01:59He looks through a supply closet of spare robot parts,
02:01and it only makes sense if this was a factory for building robots.
02:05I thought it could be for anything.
02:07He plans to do something with technology.
02:09That's good.
02:10I wish the writer knew Tails could do that,
02:12so he'd do it instead.
02:14After pointless words,
02:16Sonic sees Tails in a roboticizer,
02:18and somehow he screeches to a halt instead of continuing on
02:21so that he could smack into it with its full speed.
02:23And he jumps into it anyways,
02:25with the picture not showing that being successful.
02:28But in the second page,
02:29suddenly Tails is out of the roboticizer
02:31without the story explaining how.
02:33And it doesn't even look damaged,
02:34and I don't see any buttons on it,
02:36or a control panel with an open button that wouldn't exist.
02:39But it must have been off-screen.
02:42After padding,
02:43Eggman sees a fake Eggman who looks identical to him.
02:46Somehow Rotor made this thing within minutes.
02:49I can assume he had a bag of nanobots stored in his roller skates,
02:52so it's fine.
02:53And the conflicting orders from the two of them
02:55somehow cause the circuits of the robots to sizzle and stop working.
02:59At least there's an emotional appeal to that because Eggman deserved it.
03:02The fake Eggman argues with the real one instead of following Sonic,
03:06which I assume is to keep him still
03:08while the people without super speed get away.
03:11Later, Rotor asks Sonic how he liked his recycled Robotnik.
03:15It's never confirmed that the fake one was a suit he was wearing.
03:18So it was genuinely a robot.
03:20That's how overpowered he is.
03:22I'm left to assume that instead of Sonic going back to save him,
03:26he heartlessly left the robot to die and have his parts used by Eggman.
03:30So Eggman benefited from this.
03:32All the heroes accomplished in this was going back to square one by saving Tails,
03:38and then going one step back by leaving Eggman with some equipment for robots.
03:43In the classic games,
03:45Sonic would accomplish stuff by freeing animals from robots.
03:50So they should have saved some civilians as well.
03:54Sonic compliments his plan,
03:55and the heroes decided to go home instead of go to Robotropolis to do more to spite Eggman.
04:00Now it's only because they're hungry, so it makes sense.
04:04This story by Parker Smith was about Tails somehow getting kidnapped.
04:08It never explains how,
04:10so I was able to have the most believable assumption
04:12that a robot hiding in a bush grabbed him.
04:14So Sonic saves him in a way that's never actually explained.
04:18So I have to assume he pushed a button on a screen.
04:21And Rotor sent a robot Eggman to Eggman as a distraction so the heroes could get away.
04:26At least that's new,
04:27but again, it doesn't explain how he made that so fast.
04:31So I'm forced to assume he had nanobots do it.
04:34I shouldn't have to do all the writing for the writer.
04:37This was so lazy.
04:39Tails has already been kidnapped way too many times.
04:42And Rotor impersonated Eggman in Archie's story.
04:46At least here it's more believable than him having tons of costumes as big as himself
04:50immediately at the ready even though he had nowhere to store them.
04:54And all of the characters were likable.
04:57As usual, the main problem was the pacing.
05:00There were too many pointless words,
05:02so it was a little boring.
05:03So it was a little boring.
