00:00I'm not here to make any friends.
00:04The process is not personal, it's business.
00:08Lord Sugar is on the lookout for a brand new business partner.
00:13It is a very competitive situation.
00:16I need to see who's got a good business brand.
00:20Fighting it out for his funding.
00:2418 aspiring tycoons.
00:28Not one of you geniuses ran this thing properly.
00:31I feel so angry.
00:33You're coming across a bit thick.
00:35At stake, a quarter of a million pounds.
00:40And a 50-50 deal with a business heavyweight.
00:45Your best hope for 250 grand is to buy yourself a scratch card.
00:50Yeah, yeah, yeah, go, go, go, go, go.
00:52It's an investment worth fighting for.
00:55Please stop talking, please, for the love of God, stop talking.
00:58We're meant to be grown up women.
00:59We're acting like little schoolgirls.
01:0118 candidates.
01:03I'm not getting heavy, I'm just telling you my point
01:05because you're not listening to my point.
01:06Boom.
01:07Slashed it.
01:0812 testing weeks.
01:10This is getting really, really childish now.
01:13If I was a project manager, I'd be trying to motivate my team.
01:15So that's not cool, that's not cool.
01:17One life-changing opportunity.
01:19You're fired.
01:20You're fired.
01:21You are a loose cannon.
01:23You're fired.
01:32Previously on The Apprentice.
01:34You will be selling antiques and collectibles to the public and trade.
01:39Oh.
01:40Wow.
01:41It was straight down to business.
01:43Oh.
01:44Both teams got a garage full of goods.
01:47Got a nice pair of juice there, Trish.
01:49Including hidden gems.
01:50That could be crystal.
01:52I just want to check for vintage Chanel or something.
01:55Led by Paul.
01:56I think this is very hipster East London.
01:58The boys ain't high.
01:59I reckon 300 quid for it.
02:00300 quid for that.
02:01Turning trash.
02:03Wow.
02:04175.
02:05Okay.
02:06Into cash.
02:07I just love the sound of money.
02:09Let's go.
02:10Under Michelle's leadership.
02:11What would you give for it then?
02:1220.
02:13Deal.
02:14Speedy sales.
02:1515.
02:16Yeah, quite a deal.
02:17And dire decisions.
02:18My gut feeling's Camden.
02:20I'm going with Camden.
02:21Led to the girls losing their way.
02:23What does your stall look like?
02:24Have you got umbrellas or have you got a wooden stall?
02:26I don't know.
02:27In the boardroom, Lord Sugar questions Mackay and JD's value.
02:32I believe we worked well.
02:33According to Karen, you look like lost lambs.
02:36But a vintage victory for the boys left the girls coming up short.
02:42Who sold those green vases?
02:44Me, £15.
02:45The valuation was £300.
02:47Rebecca had a close call.
02:49You are the wrong type of candidate.
02:51Please, Lord Sugar.
02:52Can you please be quiet?
02:53I'm sorry.
02:54But it was Michelle.
02:55I see you responsible for not laying down the rules to your team.
02:58Who became the first casualty of the boardroom.
03:01You're fired.
03:03Now, 17 remain to fight for the chance to become Lord Sugar's business partner.
03:10Hello?
03:11Good morning.
03:12Lord Sugar would like you to meet him at Instituto Marangoni.
03:16The cars will be outside in 20 minutes.
03:17OK.
03:18OK.
03:20Bye.
03:21That's a lovely view for anyone just looking in there.
03:22What a treat.
03:23The Instituto Marangoni.
03:24Italian.
03:25It's a fashion store.
03:26School.
03:27School of Fashion.
03:28If we are working with Italian, you should put brown shoes on because you only wear black
03:35shoes and it leads to a funeral.
03:36I am going to the funeral.
03:37Of the other team.
03:38There you go.
03:39Their egos have gone up a bit, haven't they?
03:40Yeah.
03:41Looking fresh.
03:42Instituto Marengoni Italian is the fashion store school school of fashion if we are working with Italian
03:48Should put brown shoes on because you're anywhere black shoes and it leads to a funeral. I am going to the funeral of the other team
03:57They're egos have gone up a pig haven't they looking fresh
04:12In the heart of London's trendy East End
04:21Instituto Marengoni
04:42Good morning
04:48Well this place used to be a textile factory and is now a renowned fashion school
04:57Your task today has got a lot to do with fashion
05:01I'll be providing you with a product
05:04Jeans made from Japanese denim
05:07I want you to come up with an advertising campaign
05:11You'll be pitching your advertising idea to some leaders in the jeans business
05:16As well as some top advertising executives
05:20They'll be reporting back to me the client
05:23And as ever in the losing team at least one of you will be fired
05:29Or hung out to dry
05:32Like one of those things there
05:36Everything clear?
05:38Yes
05:39Off you go
05:41The teams have two days to create their brands
05:46Shoot TV adverts for their jeans
05:50And design a digital screen the public can interact with
05:53I think we have the best model for our video
06:02Don't grease nothing else
06:03Like really tight as well
06:05But I think I'm too hairy up here I reckon
06:07If I wanted to be like everybody else then I would have plucked my monobro
06:10We'll wax you
06:11We'll wax you
06:12We'll wax wax
06:13Nobody's touching my hair
06:14But I don't want to be like anybody else
06:15Everybody else wants to be like me
06:17Not here, not here and not anywhere else
06:20Yeah
06:21Yeah
06:2211am
06:23Base for both teams
06:27Ad agency Rainy Kelly
06:30My skills lie in branding and advertising and marketing
06:33It's what I do every day
06:34Going head to head
06:35I brand all types of businesses
06:37So I've got a fashion brand
06:39Pitching to project manage
06:40I don't do the visual side of branding
06:42But I brand every day
06:43Rebecca and Jessica
06:45Whoever's chosen as project manager
06:46We could maybe do sub-team manager
06:48Yeah
06:49I'd like you to work with me
06:50Okay, Rebecca, go
06:52Two, three, four
06:53Oh, okay
06:54Split
06:55It's four and four split
06:56Hands up for Rebecca again
06:57You can't vote for yourself
06:58Oh, I suppose that's stupid
07:00Right, so it's Jessica
07:01Okay, brilliant
07:02What?
07:03So hold on
07:04There's eight of us, isn't there?
07:05I'm going to be project manager on this task
07:07And there's a four-four split
07:09I voted for myself
07:10And every time I put my hand down
07:12So I think I've probably just been somehow accidentally duped into not being a project manager
07:16That's awful
07:18I really want
07:19I
07:20Okay, can we all get behind me?
07:24Already running the boys team
07:26So, first deadline
07:28Target market
07:29Marketing man Mackay puts forward his plans
07:32I wanted to go with teens
07:34I know we want to do it democratically
07:36But can we just go with that?
07:38What else we need?
07:39We need brand name
07:40I thought itchy band was a good name
07:41I don't know if that fit
07:42Itchy band
07:43Itchy jeans
07:44I just don't know what it means
07:45Emo jeans
07:46Emo jeans
07:47Emo jeans
07:48I love that
07:49Let's write that down, yeah?
07:50I'm sorry, I'm going to kind of veto that
07:51I lead a team from the front
07:54I've got one
07:55I've got one
07:56Day after yesterday
07:57Which is i.e. today
07:58I'm always challenging and asking questions
08:01And that could potentially be an annoyance to some people
08:04It could be D-A-Y
08:06I think we'll go for it
08:08Day after yesterday
08:09Can we please think of brand names?
08:11Brand names
08:12Sight set on a luxury brand for women
08:15Stripped back, unclaimed or reinvented
08:17But the girls team nailed the name
08:20The reason I liked unclaimed
08:21I liked unclaimed
08:22Is you could go for things like
08:24A girl stood there taking a selfie and she's claiming her own look
08:27I like unclaimed, yeah
08:28We're calling it unclaimed
08:29To play on a word
08:30Fantastic
08:31Yeah, unclaimed
08:32So what I want to do now ladies
08:34Split into team A and team B
08:36Team A are going to be in charge of the brand and TV advert
08:39My strengths lie with TV adverts
08:41Team B is going to be the packaging which you said you were very strong on, didn't you?
08:45It
08:46You don't want me doing branding
08:47Even that's what I do every day
08:49Jessica
08:50Jessica
08:51You can't let me finish please
08:53Everyone's talking over, right, okay
08:54They're only half an hour in and Jessica is already flustered
08:58Erm
08:59Oh God
09:00This task is huge
09:01Maybe the girls have just chosen the wrong leader
09:05So team A, Rebecca
09:06Yep
09:07Team B
09:08We've got myself
09:09Can I just be really clear
09:10Everything has got to be very stylish
09:11I don't want anything like dog masks or anything like that
09:18Jeans in hand
09:19Half of each team hits the road
09:22I'm a little bit concerned about Rebecca as sub team manager
09:25Personally I think Francis or Grania would be a much better team leader
09:29Because they're a stronger character
09:30If you call her and put her down it's going to cause friction in the group
09:33You will completely destabilise the team
09:36I want to go to a premium shop
09:41We may not get a broad enough spectrum
09:43We're on up to a circus
09:44For both teams a chance to get the measure of their target markets
09:49Which one feels more quality to you?
09:52This one or that one?
09:53These are too fat
09:55While the girls get the low down on luxury shoppers
09:58If you saw a pair of jeans what would make you like them?
10:00If the model looks really good in them
10:02The fit and the feel and the fabric
10:04Thank you so much
10:05Thank you so much
10:06The boys
10:07Make sure that we're putting the right type of people in
10:09Seek out teams for their unisex jeans
10:13How old are you?
10:1524
10:1625
10:17If it's 25 it's a little bit too old actually for what we're looking for
10:20What brand jeans do you like to buy and wear?
10:22I don't wear jeans
10:23I don't think you're going to be much used to us
10:25I have a few questions to answer
10:28Do you know anything about Japanese denim?
10:31No I'm afraid not
10:32Fine
10:33Excellent
10:34Okay
10:35We're really out of time now
10:36We've got like about 10-15 minutes
10:38It's very hard to find people of that age group
10:40I know
10:41Listen, listen
10:42Guys come let's not argue
10:43We need to get this done
10:44We're going to stay here
10:45I'll try and find the right target people
10:47Makaya
10:49He's just trying to be like
10:50Look I can lead
10:51I can do this
10:52I can do that
10:53And everyone else's input is coming in a close second
10:55Come on
10:56I need a little bit of direction
10:58Let's go
11:01Back at the ad agency
11:02This one's really cute
11:04In charge of branding for the boys
11:07Art director Dylan
11:08Day after tomorrow
11:10Yesterday
11:11Yesterday sorry
11:13Personally I think a vibrant yellow is quite unisex
11:17Dylan
11:18I've never seen colour on a jean
11:19It will pop right off a denim colour black
11:22Perfect
11:24Dylan
11:25Where does the yellow want to come again?
11:26It's going to be on the label
11:27Okay
11:28Mate I think it looks good
11:31I'm not happy with day after yesterday denim
11:34Why do you have to say denim?
11:35It's on jeans right?
11:36We know what it is
11:37Nobody says coca cola is a drink
11:38Yeah
11:40Excuse me guys
11:41You're going to miss deadlines if you don't hurry up
11:44Dylan
11:45We need to start thinking about a few strap lines
11:47Could you have a question answer thing?
11:48Want to have fun the day after yesterday?
11:50That's today
11:51That's today
11:52Can you talk quieter?
11:53I will come up with an awesome strap line
11:54But I can't be constantly interrupted in my thinking process
11:57Thank you
11:58Always Japanese
11:59Definitely cool
12:00I kind of like that
12:01Dylan
12:02We need to rush
12:03I'm anxious to talk to the other team though
12:05I'll call them
12:08Great
12:09Hi there Dylan
12:10Are you okay?
12:11I need to relay some thoughts to you
12:13Need to check the strap lines
12:14Sorry Dylan
12:15Stop stop stop
12:16As an art director
12:17I'm letting you have the rain
12:19But I have to say that
12:20See you later
12:21Bye
12:22It just stopped
12:23That should have been a very important discussion
12:26Oh my god
12:27Makai has shown absolutely no interest
12:29In finding out what his sub team has been creating
12:31Frankly I don't know how he thinks he's going to be able to produce
12:34The billboard adverts without this critical information
12:37We're under pressure
12:38We're behind
12:39What's next?
12:40Do you know what I love?
12:41Also searching for a strap line
12:43Claim your fit
12:45Do you know what's also quite funny?
12:47That's no
12:48Claim your fit
12:49Industry expert Rebecca
12:51Builds the girls brand
12:53Are we saying our strap line is going to be something like
12:56Claim your fit?
12:57Claim your fit
12:58The strap line as in the strap of the jeans?
13:00No no
13:01Strap line as in like the thing that sits alongside the branding
13:03Oh yeah the strap
13:06So the colour
13:08Neutral grey
13:09Can we see it on just a long strip as well?
13:11Yeah
13:12I'd put like a hashtag
13:13If you can do that
13:14Not a hashtag
13:15Not on a logo
13:16Not on a logo
13:17Ooh
13:18Beautiful
13:19That's what we like
13:20That's going to be our logo
13:21Unclaimed luxury Japanese denim
13:22Yeah
13:23Come on then
13:24Here we go
13:25Bloomsbury
13:27Planning the photo shoot for their campaign
13:29So ideally I just want a really clean image of the quality of the jeans
13:34Project manager Jessica
13:36Where the hell are the jeans?
13:37Where the hell are the jeans?
13:38Where's the jeans?
13:40The jeans have been left
13:42Who had the jeans with them?
13:44I said I'm leaving them with you guys who look after them
13:46Waiting at the studio a professional photographer
13:53Hello
13:54Hello
13:55On the team's to-do list pictures for bus shelter posters and interactive displays
14:00One issue is we can't find the jeans
14:03What do you mean you can't find the jeans?
14:06Basically the last location we've put the jeans down and then we've not put them back up again
14:10So you're doing photographs for your jean campaign without your jeans
14:17Right
14:19I'm sorry
14:24I'm so sorry
14:27Jessica
14:28Jessica
14:29Go outside
14:30Go and take a breath
14:31Calm yourself down
14:32We'll all be here when you're ready
14:36Right guys let's try and pull this together
14:39Let's try and talk while she's not here
14:41Can't rely on her
14:42Yeah
14:43Just get this on
14:45Just get this on
14:46Just get this on
14:47Oh God
14:52At the boys' photo shoot
14:54They meant to book the model then were they?
14:56Yes
14:57With his photographer waiting
14:59Project manager Makai has nothing to shoot
15:02We haven't got any information
15:04We don't know when they're coming
15:05They should be here by now
15:06Let's try and get through to the top team
15:08Okay here we go
15:12I skateboard I fall
15:13I'm like
15:14He looks at you
15:15And he gets distracted and he falls
15:18This is the both my boys
15:19What?
15:20What's going on man?
15:21Unbelievable
15:22This is a joke
15:23You look very athletic
15:24Is there a six pack under there?
15:26Yep
15:27Thank you
15:28I'm very happy
15:29Dylan's quest for perfection is all well and good
15:32But he's fallen well behind
15:33Imagine you're flirting with somebody
15:35Are you just a girl?
15:36Okay I'll be the girl
15:37He's enjoying himself too much
15:39And really he needs to focus
15:40Because the models should already be at the studio
15:43How you doing?
15:44You alright?
15:45Good I'm fine thanks
15:46Oh very good very good
15:49I can see Dylan blushing
15:50It's just the hot lights I promise
15:55It's gonna get changed
15:56Okay cool
15:57Reunited with their jeans
15:59The girls look closer to home for models
16:02I wish I had spray tan
16:04Keep this one down
16:06And then wear a heel with that one
16:08That looks ridiculous
16:09Just take it
16:10That's not gonna sell luxury is it?
16:13Just a little note
16:14We're gonna do one for the billboard
16:16I've forgotten the billboard
16:19I genuinely don't think she knows what she's doing at all
16:22Really natural
16:23Just do a fake laugh
16:24We haven't had any direction
16:27We lost on a lack of organisation last week
16:30And like we're gonna lose again
16:33And it's just embarrassing
16:35And then look at the camera
16:36Okay perfect
16:37Let's go to the graphic designer
16:41The bus shelter and our interactive billboard
16:44It's all so disjointed
16:45It's not disjointed
16:46So if we can try and pull it together
16:47We're using the same colours throughout
16:49So that's tying it in
16:50We're using the same jeans throughout
16:52You're coming up with problems to our solutions
16:58Okay
16:59Hi there Mackay
17:02Tia
17:03How are you doing?
17:047.30pm
17:05Oh nice to meet you
17:06With only one model sent by Dylan
17:08Another's needed for their unisex campaign
17:11So I'm wanting a volunteer
17:13Courtney
17:14Yeah that works
17:15Okay
17:16I'll step up to do it
17:17Yeah
17:18Cast complete
17:19Next the plot behind their posters
17:22She's just talking to one of her friends
17:24Texting or something
17:25He could be walking by
17:26He could be on the skateboard
17:27They've both got the jeans on
17:28And then you might have something like
17:29Hashtag seize the day
17:30Yes or no
17:31You like that?
17:32Let's get something on camera
17:34You're kind of up to her
17:35And yeah exactly
17:36Give me a look of love though
17:37Like oh my god
17:38Who's this hottie?
17:39Ah
17:40Ah
17:41He's getting all shy
17:42Come on seriously
17:43We've got wind is fast
17:46One hour till work must stop
17:48Good evening
17:49Good evening
17:50So interactive bus shelters can be built overnight
17:53Share your image
17:55Shake it out
17:56Oh
17:57While half of each team creates soundtracks to prick the ears of passers-by
18:02Clung clung
18:03Doodle
18:04Doodle
18:05Doodle
18:06Doodle
18:07Bong bong
18:08Across London
18:11Why do we just do one the other way?
18:13Hang on a minute
18:14Can we please just listen?
18:15The rest must turn pictures into posters
18:17Is that the interactive one?
18:18Yeah
18:19Yeah
18:20And a digital screen the public can interact with via social media
18:23On this can we upload a picture onto that?
18:26Yeah
18:27And then I think it must be interactive when you go up to it
18:29Then you can take pictures
18:30Yeah
18:31Fantastic
18:32We've only got 25 minutes
18:34Today has been a comedy of errors
18:36And I'm mortified
18:38Jessica
18:39Logo
18:40Hashtag turn it up
18:41And then the best image we can get of these two together
18:43Yeah
18:44People keep chipping in at me
18:45It clouded my vision
18:46Whereas tomorrow it's a new day
18:47And I'm going to make sure I stick to my guns
18:48Guys I don't want to go over the deadline
18:50Just leave it
18:51Yeah
18:52Okay that's it done
18:53Thank you
18:54Here let's go
18:55Talk about cutting it fine
18:58We should have some images that were sent previously from the studio
19:02Running out of time
19:03Just to let you know
19:05We need to do the posters first and then the dynamic
19:07Okay
19:08Come on
19:09The boys
19:10We've got five minutes and it's a deadline
19:13A hard deadline
19:14We can't do both
19:15You don't have time for the digital?
19:17No
19:18We haven't got what we should have
19:19We haven't got the full digital advert
19:22We've just got an image on a bus shelter
19:24Let's just go with that
19:26I think Mukai's walking a dangerous line
19:28I've got a list of things that have gone wrong
19:30There was no communication
19:31And you know what?
19:32If you're going to not listen to your team
19:34This is exactly what happens
19:35Hello Mukai
19:37Unfortunately
19:38The interactive has not been completed
19:42Right
19:44We missed the deadline
19:46We're going to have to make an awesome advert tomorrow
19:50Well stay positive, get some kit, come back, bounce along, knock out the video, happy days, win the challenge, win the task, get the tree, job done
19:587am
19:59Good morning guys
20:00Good morning
20:01Good morning
20:02For the boys, a chance to check in
20:05Dylan is great in art
20:06But when it comes to the management part of it, he tends to get a bit flustered
20:07So I would like to take on sub team leadership
20:08To answer that point, I'm going to be moving to the A team on the TV ad
20:12And I'm going to be putting Courtney in charge of the sub team to lead the packaging
20:24If that's okay with you Courtney
20:25Yep
20:26I'm completely happy
20:27Everybody okay?
20:28Yeah
20:29Yeah
20:30Yeah
20:31We're pitching to corporate businesses
20:33Can everyone calm down? Everyone is talking over everyone so I can't listen
20:35I'm not having this again today
20:36This is my last question
20:37So we can't talk for you
20:38So we can't talk about how you do
20:39Everyone's talking over everyone, so I can't listen.
20:40I'm not having this again today. Trust me.
20:43Managing her manpower, project manager Jessica.
20:47With the packaging, I think Rebecca's going to be well suited for the packaging,
20:50so we're changing team leaders.
20:51I'm going to go on Team A today for the TV advert,
20:54and you're going to be on Team B.
20:56Alexander, I'd love you to work with me as well,
20:58because I loved your input yesterday.
21:01Honestly, Rebecca, we've got some really good creative people.
21:03Everyone likes to have their input. Trust me.
21:06I'm joking. I'm not.
21:09Come on, let's do this.
21:13Today, teams must create packaging...
21:16So that's the key, then, is that you keep that box
21:18while you're taking your jeans out of it.
21:19..and shoot their TV ads.
21:22Interesting. Jessica wanted to go to the TV ad site.
21:24I think she wanted to get away from me.
21:26What do you think?
21:26It was the weirdest, maddest day I've ever experienced.
21:29She just lost the plot.
21:31She completely collapsed under the pressure.
21:35For both teams, design works.
21:38We've got a pretty clear idea of what we want to do.
21:41Help to dress up their denim.
21:43That. I love that.
21:46Thinking outside the box.
21:48Cylinder. Tick.
21:49The girls.
21:50The logo's going to be washed out on that.
21:53Lift this white off of this logo and put it directly onto this brown.
21:56Loving it.
21:57This is fun.
21:58I think it looks really slick.
22:01Next door.
22:02On the inside of the box, we're like the cherry blossom print.
22:04Leading the boys, designer Courtney.
22:07We'd also, like, made in Japan, a bit like the seal of approval.
22:10We want the packaging to be something you want to keep.
22:13Is that a feature you think users are going to pick up on and appreciate?
22:16I mean, I've kept a box, a Fragrant Box, for 15 years, which now stores mini-discs.
22:23What would the ongoing function of that box be for you guys?
22:27Will they put their mini-discs in it?
22:34Central London.
22:36Here are your lines.
22:37Confidence is key.
22:38Bam, here I am.
22:39Location for the girls' TV ad, a posh Japanese restaurant.
22:45So, Granya, do you want to start with make-up for the models?
22:48Calling the shots.
22:49Alexander, help, Granya.
22:51Project manager, Jessica.
22:52Natalie, can you help me...
22:55Oh, actually, you're going to do the hair of the styling, aren't you?
22:59Whatever.
23:01Today I feel a lot better.
23:02Yesterday was just absolutely horrific.
23:05But today we'll be fine.
23:07Three, two, one, action.
23:10The next best thing to Japanese food is the jeans they make.
23:14Fierce.
23:15So far, the advert, I have to say, is looking good.
23:18You need some more of that lift to come because you look gorgeous.
23:21Granya did really well on the make-up.
23:23Action.
23:24Jessica did really well on the direction.
23:26OK, cut.
23:27The three of us gave good input.
23:29Natalie, bless her, is looking at the timelines.
23:32Natalie, we've got the time.
23:34Eight minutes passed.
23:35In terms of contribution, there isn't any more from Natalie.
23:39Main setting for their luxury brand campaign...
23:42Up here, it looks like a girl's toilet with a full mirror and room to move.
23:46Love it.
23:47It does.
23:47The loo.
23:49Take your shoes off, right?
23:50Turn your jeans off.
23:51Yeah.
23:51Action.
23:54Beautiful.
23:56Proud for it to go.
23:57Yep, fastest shoot ever.
23:58Yeah!
23:59Shall we head over to the editing suite?
24:00Brixton, South London.
24:08Let's get on the point.
24:11Backdrop for D.A.Y. Denim's teen-focused ad...
24:15That's a nice colour.
24:17When you fall, can you take off your sunglasses?
24:20Director for the day, Dylan.
24:22Clear the set, please.
24:24Sophie on.
24:25It's a skate park.
24:26It's supposed to be a bit dirty.
24:28Action!
24:28Action!
24:31Cut!
24:32Let's do it once more.
24:34Oh, God, it's so hot.
24:35I feel like stripping, man.
24:38He's like Marmite.
24:39One day you love him, the next you hate him.
24:41But I don't want her to become a meat market with all the chicks coming after me, so I'm just
24:45going to deal with sitting in my shirt.
24:47I think I'll opt to love him, though.
24:49I think I'll go with that one.
24:50It's sunny weather!
24:52Action!
24:54Push his shoulder like, get out of here.
24:57Cut.
24:57That's good.
24:58That's a wrap, yeah?
24:59Fantastic.
25:014pm.
25:05Oxford Street.
25:08Konnichiwa.
25:09For both teams, the big reveal of their bus shelters.
25:15That looks all right.
25:17That looks pretty good.
25:18Oh, I really like it!
25:20Well done, well done!
25:21For the boys, a basic display.
25:24It would have been better if we could have had some interaction.
25:27While the girls...
25:28Can we borrow you to take a quick picture?
25:32...use social media to spread their message.
25:34Share your image.
25:36Oh my god, are you okay?
25:37Yeah, that one.
25:39Oh my god, are you okay?
25:40Oh my god, are you okay?
25:42Yeah, that one.
25:43A central London editing suite.
25:46Okay, and the next scene is Tia.
25:49Always Japanese.
25:50Director Dylan hones the team's TV advert.
25:54I'll wait till you finish, then I'll play with the thing on my own and I want to see what I can come up with.
25:58You're not going to play on your own.
25:59So what, you won't let me sit and do it on my own?
26:01No, no, no, no.
26:02You scared?
26:05We're trying to get the editing correct.
26:07If there's something wrong with it, you can have your say.
26:10Hey, you're perfect fit.
26:11Always Japanese.
26:13Definitely, sure.
26:15Looks good.
26:16I like that.
26:17So we now have a 30-second rough cut.
26:20I would really like to get everybody's comments on board.
26:22Is that okay?
26:23Mm-hmm.
26:24Does that make sense?
26:25No, it doesn't.
26:26What I want to do is I want to spend five minutes with Jonah.
26:29We haven't actually discussed what we've seen yet.
26:31I want to see, I want to see what I can do in five minutes.
26:33You've made your point.
26:34I've listened to you.
26:35I want it up five minutes now and we look this up in five minutes.
26:37No, you will not do it five minutes.
26:38You can wait five minutes.
26:39No, I will.
26:40I'm overdoing you.
26:41No, you will not.
26:43The problem with Karthik is that whilst he may have a lot to offer,
26:46his aggression in terms of trying to get his voice heard has turned the others against him.
26:51Consequently, the more he tries, the less they listen.
26:54I know he's your choice.
26:55Give me five minutes.
26:56Please, Karthik.
26:57Karthik.
26:58I'm telling you right now, I need to speak and you need to listen.
27:02Guys.
27:03I am telling you.
27:04You need to be overruled.
27:05Karthik, please, for the love of God, stop talking.
27:10No, I'm going to tell you what I want to tell you and you have to listen to it.
27:13I hate you so much right now.
27:16I hate you so much right now.
27:17I hate you so much right now.
27:18I hate you so much right now.
27:19I hate you so much right now.
27:20No, I don't know this.
27:21Yeah, scrap it.
27:22Selecting a soundtrack for their ad.
27:23I see I'm too late.
27:24The girls.
27:25I've got nothing in my place.
27:26You like it.
27:28What are we shaking off though?
27:29Why are you choosing that?
27:30She's just shaking off whatever.
27:32She's like, yeah, I'm in power.
27:34Are we happy with Shake It Off?
27:36I shake it off, yeah.
27:38The good news for Jessica is she is a lot calmer today than she was yesterday.
27:43One, two, three.
27:44But the girls' advert doesn't work.
27:47You're filming in a toilet.
27:48The song is Shake It Off.
27:49Very unfortunate.
27:50The next first name to Japanese food is the jeans they make.
27:53And you're comparing the jeans to sushi food.
27:56It certainly doesn't say luxury product empowers women to me.
28:04I can't listen in my brain.
28:05Oh, God!
28:06Shake, shake, shake.
28:147am.
28:15Today, both teams will pitch their campaigns to a panel of industry experts.
28:20Hello!
28:21Hi!
28:22But first...
28:23Thank you so much!
28:24I love you, Dad!
28:26...a delivery of prototype packaging.
28:30Christmas come early.
28:31I'm liking it.
28:32There's no doubt that there's jeans in that box.
28:34Really cool.
28:35Oh!
28:36Yes!
28:37That is well done.
28:40Oh!
28:41Oh, yes!
28:42Oh, wow!
28:43Thank you so much.
28:44Fabulous and chunky.
28:45Nice.
28:46So, do we think that the packaging is luxury enough?
28:48I love this.
28:49I think that's really luxurious.
28:52So, obviously, we've got the big pitch today.
28:54I'm introducing it.
28:55I'm introducing it, then I'm going to lead on to...
28:56Okay.
28:57Actually, on that note, how are we going to coordinate between each other?
28:59And then you have to sort of...
29:00Day one, all I had as a project manager was people talking all over me.
29:03And I'm not having...
29:04Everyone's chipping in.
29:05Jessica, just one thing or you're going to feel comfortable being calm.
29:09Calm is key here.
29:11We cannot be flustered.
29:12Oh, thank you for that.
29:13I didn't realise that.
29:14Good.
29:15Good.
29:16JD on the branding.
29:18Precision planning, his team's pitch.
29:20I think it's a really important part.
29:22Makai.
29:23Established the fact that the campaign is an integrated multi-channel 360 campaign.
29:28The key thing is benchmark for quality.
29:30Teen youth market, premium, the high disposable income.
29:33That should come in branding, though, for sure.
29:36Are you clear on that?
29:37Um...
29:41West London.
29:45Headquarters of outdoor advertising heavyweights, J.C. Decoe.
29:53Casting an expert eye over replicas of both bus shelters.
29:58Experts from the worlds of fashion and digital signage.
30:01First to pitch, unclaimed.
30:17Watching on the rest of the girls.
30:20Hello, how are you all?
30:22Thank you so much for inviting us there.
30:24Alex, it's a lovely building.
30:25Come on, jean sucker.
30:26We were given the task to do a marketing and advertising campaign for jeans.
30:30What we decided to do was target women aged 18 to 35.
30:34So when we were creating the TV advert, we wanted to put across that the jeans were quality
30:38and also the fit was crucial.
30:41So if we just play the video...
30:42The next best thing to Japanese food is the jeans they make.
31:01Unclaimed is a beautiful brand that we've put together which we think encapsulates the feeling of owning your own look
31:08and claiming that look.
31:10She's so calm, isn't she?
31:11She's brilliant.
31:12And adoring what you're wearing, no matter what you're wearing.
31:15This packaging, it feels very solid.
31:18It's actually quite easy to associate that with luxury because if you hold a beautiful big diamond in your hand,
31:24that's going to have some weight to it.
31:27I'm just not sure it says luxury to me.
31:30Really?
31:31Your branding is targeting more an older consumer.
31:34Ah, right.
31:35I can't bear this.
31:36And then your TV advert, it's a little bit younger.
31:39Yeah.
31:40Probably mixed messages there for me.
31:42Thank you very much for hearing us today.
31:43Thank you very much for taking the sound.
31:44Thank you all.
31:45Would you like me to leave that with you to have a look at or should I take it?
31:47You can keep them.
31:48What?
31:49You can keep them.
31:50That's a great indication.
31:54Well done.
31:55No, seriously.
31:56Well done.
31:57You're done.
31:58You're done.
32:00Next, D-Day for DIY Denim.
32:03So good morning everybody.
32:06Day Denim really means, day after yesterday really means the fact that it's, we're talking about,
32:14we're aiming for the teen market here.
32:16So we really, I'm really sorry.
32:18I've just completely fluffed it.
32:22Okay.
32:23But I really appreciate it if we don't mention that to him and just forget about it, okay?
32:29Today, we're presenting a multi-channel advertising campaign for the launch of a new denim brand.
32:34I'll now hand you over to JD to explain a little bit more about the brand.
32:38Thanks, McKay.
32:40Afternoon, guys.
32:41When you're picking a name, it takes a bit of time.
32:45It takes the creative juices to really get going, get people excited.
32:49The names are flying around.
32:50And after a couple of juicy conversations, we came up with Day.
32:54We feel this is a good name.
32:56Yes, Day Jeans.
32:57I love them.
32:58I'm going to buy some.
32:59So, sorry if I'm going a bit quick.
33:08Oh, my God.
33:10Are you okay?
33:11Did you tear your jeans?
33:12They aren't the over-turn.
33:13They're day jeans.
33:14Mine too.
33:15Hey, you're perfect fit.
33:17Always Japanese.
33:19Definitely.
33:20Cool.
33:24Please explain to me your unisex idea.
33:27We didn't see any reason why we couldn't have a denim that could be for a boy and a girl.
33:32Obviously different cuts, different designs.
33:35But that's not unisex.
33:37But that's not unisex.
33:38That's not unisex.
33:39So, if you're saying if there's one product, but a man or woman could wear it, that's unisex.
33:44Thank you so much.
33:46Thanks, guys.
33:47All right.
33:48Hey!
33:49Hey!
33:50How's it going?
33:51Everyone was unbelievable.
33:52Makai, from day one, was like, oh, I'm this creative director.
33:56I'm going to do this.
33:57I'm going to do that.
33:58That's been his whole attitude the whole time.
34:00And what's going through my head right now is that we're the losing team.
34:05Pitch is over.
34:06There's nothing more the teams can do.
34:10Good afternoon.
34:11Good afternoon.
34:12Good afternoon.
34:13For Lord Sugar, feedback from the experts.
34:15So, let's start with the girls team.
34:17We struggled with the names.
34:18The focus was on claim your fit, but it's called unclaimed.
34:21The packaging, I don't know if there's a pair of jeans in there.
34:24It's very bland.
34:25The advert was a younger message, and the packaging was speaking to an older woman.
34:30They could actually be two different brands.
34:32So, now, the boys team, the EAY, you know, they missed a great opportunity by not deploying the digital screen.
34:39They had a unisex message.
34:41Yeah.
34:42The group didn't really understand.
34:44It didn't work.
34:45You can go to the boardroom now.
34:59Good afternoon.
35:00Good afternoon, Lord Sugar.
35:17Good afternoon.
35:18Good afternoon, Lord Sugar.
35:24Well, this is traditionally one of my favourite tasks.
35:29I've been a marketing mayor for well over 50 years.
35:32In simple terms, the commodity is jeans.
35:36I asked you to come up with packaging, television advertising, bus shelter.
35:42That's the whole project, okay?
35:44So, I'm going to start with the boys team.
35:47Makai, you were the project manager.
35:50Yes, Lord Sugar.
35:51I've worked in fashion as well as I've worked in marketing and communications.
35:55Right up your alley, then.
35:57Yeah.
35:58Right, okay.
35:59Tell me, what happened?
36:00We went with the name Day Denim, day standing for day after yesterday.
36:05The day after yesterday, meaning today.
36:07Meaning today.
36:08Sounds like a James Bond movie to me.
36:11Tell me how you split your team up.
36:13Because of our backgrounds, I felt that Dylan would make an excellent sub-team leader.
36:18So, you had to do what?
36:19The logo?
36:20Design the logotype.
36:21And the copy.
36:22The strap line.
36:23So, now, look, I've had a chat with Claude.
36:25What comes across here, Dylan, is that you are a person of great detail and a perfectionist.
36:31Yeah.
36:32Nothing wrong with that.
36:33The only thing is, I think you've got to look at your watch.
36:35Correct.
36:36Dylan is a great artist.
36:37He sat there with the graphic designer and he started getting into his little artistic world.
36:41But he forgot about the people management, process management, what are the headlines.
36:44And then all we were working on was the logo.
36:46I don't think that's entirely fair.
36:47I was working on it.
36:48Delegation of work was very important.
36:49Kartharik, I really appreciated your input.
36:52It was just your delivery was very aggressive and it was hard to fish out.
36:56I was getting so frustrated.
36:58Kartharik, Kartharik, you'll hear me say this many times.
37:01If you've got an expert, unless you've got some constructive input, then you shut up.
37:07But you see, the thing is, this time mismanagement may have cost you dearly in the sense that there's
37:14one element, your digital bus shelter didn't get completed.
37:18You just had that logo in the centre of the screen.
37:21Anybody want to tell me how that came about?
37:24We had no communication with the other team.
37:26This is you, right, in your Leonardo DiCaprio role.
37:32I mean, yeah, you know, this is disappointing.
37:38We did a photo shoot in 10 to 15 minutes and I had 20 minutes to create the bus shelter campaign.
37:44What caused that delay?
37:46We were waiting for the model.
37:48The model, the sub-team, hadn't communicated any of the information to myself or any of our team.
37:53The problem was that you did make a call, but you didn't listen to what they had to say.
37:58You say, you've got to go now, and that was it.
38:00Dylan, what I can understand, you spent a lot of time in the casting to see whether the models were going to be any good in the role.
38:08You know, if we were remaking Ben-Eur, perhaps we'd have the time to do it.
38:12I will say that it was a massive learning curve for me and I gave it my all and I was doing my best.
38:17Look, somewhere down the line, someone has to be responsible for the timeline management.
38:23Makai, you're the team leader.
38:25Yes, could I clarify that on the second day, because of the lack of communication, I decided to move to manage that team.
38:32So I was there for the video shoot as well as the editing process.
38:36And you're directing that, yeah?
38:38Yeah.
38:39We can carry on discussion after I've had a look at this thing.
38:46Oh my God, did you tear your jeans?
38:48The day jeans.
38:49I love day after yesterday jeans.
38:51Always Japanese.
38:53Definitely cool.
38:54So then you went off and done a pitch to the expats, is that right? Who led the pitch?
39:07I led the pitch as project manager.
39:09How'd that go?
39:10Unfortunately, it didn't go perfect.
39:13So my next question is, good team leader?
39:17Nope.
39:18From my side, in my humble opinion.
39:20It was a team issue.
39:22The whole team wasn't functioning and if the team's not functioning, we're not going to get the result we want.
39:26And that's just basic.
39:28Well look, let's talk to the other team at the moment.
39:33Rebecca, you're in marketing.
39:35Did you put yourself forward?
39:36I did.
39:37Jessica put herself forward.
39:38We asked the team to vote and Jessica kind of just became project manager.
39:42Jessica, well talk to me.
39:44Tell me what you do.
39:45Okay, so we decided on the name of the company, didn't we, which was Unclaimed.
39:50Unclaimed?
39:51Unclaimed, yeah.
39:52So we decided first of all that our target market was going to be women and then we decided to do a luxury brand.
39:57What kind of age group?
39:58We assumed sort of the ideal customer would be about 25 or maybe a little bit...
40:03You might need to just slow down.
40:05Just a touch.
40:06Just a sip of water.
40:07So we went for the strapline, claim your fit, to go with Unclaimed as a play on words into the messages.
40:13You have to be careful in a television advert using Unclaimed because you might sound like an injury lawyer chatting for some business.
40:20Right, now the photography took place on day one and I believe you left the jeans somewhere.
40:27The jeans were left and we didn't realise until we were at the photography studio all the way there.
40:31Which makes the name Unclaimed like the lost property office.
40:35So it was a comedy of errors.
40:37I heard you were a little bit flustered at that stage.
40:40I was very flustered, it was horrific.
40:41I have to point out there was a loss of control from Jessica throughout the day.
40:45Alexandra, to be fair, Alexandra.
40:46And we had to piece Jessica back together.
40:48Okay.
40:49Anything you say to Jessica you would have to tread on eggshells because if you said it in the wrong way...
40:53Excuse me, please be to be, the reason why I got so tearful and upset, everyone was undermining me.
40:56Jessica, you're paranoid, you're paranoid.
40:58Okay, I'm paranoid, that's fine.
40:59No one was undermining you.
41:00I didn't realise how big the task of day one was going to be.
41:04And yes, I did get flustered.
41:06Yeah, okay.
41:08I think at this point we best look at the advert.
41:12Yeah, cause the food's gonna be, play, play, play...
41:17My heels are hey, hey, hey, hey...
41:20Shake it up, shake it up...
41:22The next best thing to Japanese food is the cheese they make.
41:25Shake it up...
41:27interesting Japanese seems to have ranked quite high in your themes the boys you make a bit of a
41:36point about Japanese in your box do you think that the end consumer gives a damn oh I'm going
41:44to buy a pair of jeans that must be the Japanese fabric did you all go off spending too much time
41:51talking about Japanese in your advert well sugar we hadn't thought that through enough not only did
41:55you choose a Japanese restaurant you chose the toilet of a Japanese restaurant I'm getting more
42:02and more disappointed really I mean I saw your your bus shelter this thing here yes what has this got
42:10to do with jeans it's all to do with getting your your ideal customer to interact with your brand
42:15what does it got to do with jeans I'm just coming along and I see this what is it is it packets of
42:23crisps that you're trying to advertise there a fizzy drink or whatever you know you wait ages for a
42:30terrible bus shelter advert and then to come along at the same time this is the packaging 100 pound pair
42:40of jeans in this the brand logo unclaimed pretty insipid I think right okay the boys one is a little
42:49bit more in your face but I mean you know this is normally in this task I make the decision as to which of
42:59those were the best well I'll tell you what I'm not putting my name to either of these advertising
43:07campaigns they're useless both totally absolutely useless I feel so angry but not one of you geniuses
43:19came through and ran this thing properly never mind madmen more like demented dimwits what annoys me is I
43:33understand there are some people who have not pulled their weight this general hangers-on or deadwood as I
43:40as I would call it for example Oliver you didn't open your mouth once do you think you contributed
43:46anyway in or form in this task Lord sugar I wrote down a number of questions which we carried out on
43:53the market research on the first day and Natalie what do you think you did basically add on the models
44:01here like cleaned up in cleaning and hairdressing not skills Lord sugar's looking for Natalie and aim
44:07okay I gave men to end it there there's no winner here right it's never happened before on this
44:19particular task get out of here have a chat amongst yourselves about this because when you come back
44:26I'm going to invite the two project managers to choose two people to bring back into the boardroom off
44:37I mean second week my favorite task I'm just lost for words really the truth of the matter is it was
44:50cock-up I tried to manage the best I could a really bad situation that we're in you ignored what other
44:56people were trying to say and we get the market research done let me finish it's useless you're not a
45:02good PM and if anyone else goes but Makaya today that's a travesty he was being dismissive when we
45:08were sitting there making decisions I have to take some of the responsibility as PM however I feel
45:13Kartik has been a disruption throughout he's actually had a net negative effect on the task there are two
45:19kinds of people in this world spectators and players if you're a player you will roll up your sleeves
45:23and you'll get in there yes you will step on people's toes and you'll be labeled disruptor I saw
45:28people not pulling their weight and that's what leads to frustration because it feels like I'm
45:32pushing Custer up a hill right the reason we failed the task is because all of us as a group not just me
45:44not just you not just anyone all of us yes exactly and who listen to me nobody I've got a luxurious
45:51women's fashion brand so why weren't you leading us I was leading you but you said let me put you in
45:57your shouting at us oh god shut up I have never experienced anything like that in business did day
46:05one go swimmingly for you yes fantastic day one didn't go swimming with me if Jessica had led with
46:10her strengths rather than whirlwind and emotion that we might have understood what she wanted why have we
46:17failed on the because you didn't listen I've got that bloody flustered on day one because I had you
46:22two yipping at me in non-stop I think there's a lot of people in this process that are too busy trying
46:30to get hurt if you're building a business you need team players they're not people I don't working for
46:35me at all you said you worked well with me on day one because I didn't want to bring your confidence
46:39down for day two and us wouldn't she's an utter nightmare to work with nightmare yeah actually
46:45you're too good at patronizing people honestly this is the first I've heard from you because you've
46:49been so quiet that's bullshit bullshit darling what the hell is going on we're meant to be grown-up
46:58women little actual school girls well I bitterly disappointed about the outcome of this task to be
47:22quite frank have you thought about which two people you're bringing back into this boardroom yes
47:28little sugar who are they I would like to bring in Carter because he is such a disruption to the
47:32party on the other side I'm sorry to say JD although he's a very nice fellow I thought that the branding
47:38points that we needed to express actually none of them were covered during the presentation what
47:43about your team have you thought it through and I'd like to bring Alana back into the process the
47:48only contribution she made was she kept coming up with problems to solutions I think I'd like to bring
47:53Natalie just because she wasn't heard enough of there's more she could have done she was that leaves
47:5911 of you you better up your game on the next task honestly you have got to up your game because I am
48:06terribly terribly disappointed with what I've seen today okay go back to the house
48:10right I'm gonna start over here could you give me an explanation as to what JD is doing here before the
48:30presentation we had discussed the branding points that we needed to kind of communicate unfortunately
48:35none of those points were actually communicated during the presentation JD the presentation it didn't get
48:40off to a great start because Makai was stumbling like a bit of a fall so when I stepped in I thought
48:45I'd keep it lively and try and cheer them up a bit I may have missed out some points but there was a
48:49lot of information I was given compared to everyone else and I felt I pulled my way I helped Dylan I
48:55asked you to do the strapline because the deadlines were mounting up I'm talking at the moment you can
48:59have your moment I know you want it but the simple thing was I'm not the project manager I'm not the
49:04sub-team leader I'm trying to help them as a member of their team you did then do I think I did I
49:09took up the project the pseudo project manager if you like for that particular sub-team I turned
49:14to him dude it's on camera I turned to him and I said I'll come to disruption in a moment yeah I've got
49:20an answer for that as well so he didn't want to take out the work on his own at all I mean there's
49:24no single piece of work that he would take on his own but what he would be very good at I mean this
49:28guy's absolutely fabulous in coming up with 10 minutes of rubbish every half an hour so why did
49:33you bring him back in Artic unfortunately everybody has found him incredibly not everybody you're wrong
49:39can I just stop me from in terms of the altercation that how do you please let him speak sorry sir
49:47just give me the bullet points in total he has been a constant disruption I would have in hindsight not
49:53have him in my team if I could make that decision 10 seconds lost you guys just 10 seconds my guy's a
49:59good fashionista he's a good employee but he's not a good employee not very subtle are you I mean
50:03it's like you're trying to play a piano with boxing gloves on at the moment yeah you're all over the
50:08place really he's saying that you are responsible for the failure because other people couldn't get
50:14on with their job but a lot sugar it's it's hard to work for him because he cuts you off just to let
50:20this was a complaint that was bought it was my design it was my music I was asked to shut up
50:25when you were speaking now please let me complete as well are you blaming him for the failure of the
50:28time yes I think I mean you were blaming him a while ago I think the fault lies in both these people one
50:33person in my opinion would if I was not there yes the disruptor would not have been there but how would
50:38deadlines have been met on the branding day how would to come back I'm gonna come back to you in a
50:43minute Jessica basically you cracked up on the first day yeah yeah and Rebecca should have been
50:53the project manager 100% in the end on day one when I lost my head honestly that's not me on day two I
51:00pulled it back together and I came back fighting but day one all the important decisions were already
51:03signed off but I did unfortunately like I had a couple of the stronger characters undermining me and
51:08flapping me and I'm flapping now but but it also I'm lost my train of thought can you explain to me
51:14the reasons as to why you brought these two ladies back in Alana was nothing but disruptive she didn't
51:21listen and when I made a decision she'd undermine me and then if we didn't go with her decision she'd
51:25sit there with the face on it brought the whole team down it just wasn't a great atmosphere and the
51:31reason I brought Natalie back in she could have done more but she was just getting on with the jobs
51:35that the small jobs that were there can I explain what happened because you probably think I'm a real
51:40quiet character but I'm actually not what did you do okay so when we did the photo shoot Jessica was
51:46really upset I was upset alone though because oh no way so we had a personality clash that is why it was
51:52not a class it was everything I said you went against if we didn't go for your idea there was an argument
51:56it was no it wasn't I didn't like I don't know anything about Marty calm down and tell me what
52:02you contributed to this task I was in a grump because I was stressed and I'm really sorry to be
52:09fair and then let me just say what I did please so the poet the two posters for my my design right
52:16Natalie you say in your CV that you are creative where were you creative in this particular exercise
52:24uh Lord sugar I've done the best I can like and day one I was working with em rebecca designing the
52:32design rebecca took em control of that because that's what that's what her strong point you didn't offer
52:38any alternative ideas did you I tried I had to see well I was there I just said then I say I says
52:46cleaning and hairdressing I did my best and I certainly just didn't clean and do here if you
53:04weren't there what would have been missing from the ad campaign I gave them to add on the basic and I
53:11wasn't listened to so maybe if the lessons then it would have been done via Jessica why shouldn't
53:17I fire you because I've got two businesses I've got a business model that works the most energy I'm used
53:22to working 16 1780 our days the only reason why I'm here is because I want you as a business partner
53:27well so does everyone else I know but I wanted more hmm Karthik yes logical you are a loose cannon
53:39not sugar I'm a quick learner I am a project manager and in the next task if you let me stay
53:45then I will take up the project management mantle because my biggest know what it is but if I was a
53:50subteam leader just imagine Lillian would have been free to go and make the best logo he could this is
53:55what happened to Dylan he got flustered if I was the subteam so with someone like you if yes hammering
54:00away but just imagine trying to calm you down is like trying to baptize a cat I've learned from
54:05that Alana my two colleagues here they don't see you they don't get you I really I really do feel
54:13that I don't feel like I'm I'm in the background I don't understand why I'm coming across like I am
54:18you're not doing very well convincing me as to why as to why you should stay in the process really
54:24Natalie I will not let you down I've got more to bring to the table I've obviously was just
54:30getting settled and I feel one day to Jessica I worked hard you you didn't even ask me to do
54:36stuff I've done it Lord sugar I do 100 hours a week I do it with passion are you ready to talk to me yes
54:42so I I think I can I'm this is so embarrassing genuinely I will not fold like a day of cards I'll give
54:57you my 100% Lord sugar I don't want to hear anymore Jessica you shouldn't have been the project manager
55:08and Alana I see you struggling there the one that I am finding very difficult to come to grips with is
55:17you Natalie someone who from what I've understood from the last two tasks has actually not done much
55:22JD do you know what I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt okay you're staying in the process thank
55:30you but you look hi I think there's some fatal errors you made in this task to be perfectly frank with
55:38you I've got to say Karthik that you are a loose cannon not sugar no no keep quiet okay and I can't
55:46put up with loose cannons this is just the one I said I can't put up with loose cannons and for that
55:53reason I'm struggling but for a potential business partner of mine Natalie you've been a bit quiet you've
56:06not been pushing yourself forward it is regretful it is only a second week but Natalie you're fired
56:14what's that you got Alana you're you are struggling you are struggling I know the the tension and pressure that exists in this room and I'm sympathizing with it a little
56:44I can't put up with what I heard from Claude
56:51second week you said you can learn just go back to the house now okay thank you thank you thank you
57:03it's the name of the game and so people thank you obviously run well I'm not that kind of person I'm like I'm real
57:18it's been a pleasure meeting Lord sugar but not getting his investment is not going to affect me
57:23it's really hard I certainly learned a lot and I think in a way I'm happy to happen to me now I mean I
57:34just feel that it's not how hard you hit it's how hard you can get it and keep moving forward
57:39so do you awfully quiet it's been a long day and there's a lot of people talking a lot of nonsense
57:44goodnight now 16 candidates remain Lord sugar search for his next business partner continues
57:58next time I want you to manufacture and sell your own range of sweets creating candy
58:07guys please just listen to me I'm worried about this the mouth-watering profit come and get your candy
58:13I stood back and just watch what was going on standing back and watching isn't the answer
58:17but in the boardroom can you hack this process a sugar overload your best hope for 250 grand is to buy
58:26yourself a scratch card you're fired
