As sea trials continue with the MV Golden Carrier some services are not available.

This as some truckers have complained to TV6 News about the unavailability of cabins at the moment. More from Elizabeth Williams.
Transcript
00:00Normally on the old boats we had places where we could lie down and sleep.
00:05We don't have that anymore. We had to sit in the chairs for the full hours and just be uncomfortable
00:13because so far the cabins aren't accessible to none of the truckers.
00:20The selling of tickets for the vessel is also of concern to the trucker who wished not to be identified
00:26as the facility is only available at 4 p.m.
00:30Where we could only buy tickets 4 o'clock after 4 in the evening.
00:36So it's unfair for a guy who has to load a vehicle to have to stop load to come down
00:424 o'clock
00:43to see if he could get a ticket or if he lives in Charlotteville to come down from Charlotteville
00:48to see if he could get a ticket.
00:50According to the Minister of Works and Infrastructure, Jolene John,
00:54sea trials of the MV Golden Carrier continues.
00:58However, according to the Port Authority, commercial sailings started last month.
01:03Minister of Works and Infrastructure, Jolene John, spoke to the issue.
01:08It seems as if the trials are going quite well.
01:10So hopefully this week they will kind of start the facility service.
01:14It's something they have to do incrementally.
01:16At the end they can't just open cabins, you know,
01:18because sometimes those things are trouble waiting to happen,
01:21meaning they're comfortable, they will help truckers and so on.
01:24But at the same time you have to ensure that it is safe for every signature you have to be.
01:28Minister of Works and Infrastructure, Jolene John, speaking on another matter,
01:33said the opening of the new terminal of the ANR Robinson International Airport is imminent.
01:39And they're just about ready.
01:41A little tweaks here and there in terms of operational tweaks,
01:45meaning like civil aviation has to give that what they call a NOTAM,
01:50the NOTAM, the NOTAM, but they're just about ready to do the simulation,
01:55the final kind of bring people in in a simulated manner and then they're ready to go.
