Cricket is not just about the game, but the atmosphere.

That's where Vinod Narwani and cameraman Devon Parker came in as they were in Tarouba to hear from the fans.
Transcript
00:00The Brian Lara Cricket Academy was the place to be on Friday for the opening ODI between West Indies and Pakistan.
00:07The fans were having a good time in the southern part of Trinidad for the day-night contest.
00:11What does it mean to you to come to Taruba for international cricket?
00:15I mean, it means a lot due to the fact that for years we would have been in Queen's Park overall watching cricket.
00:22So I think it gives an opportunity for the South people to enjoy cricket, which they probably do.
00:27Your take on the series. Who will win the series?
00:31I think we have a better chance because of the players that we have in this series compared to the players that we picked for the T20.
00:39So hopefully things could turn in our favour.
00:42Are you coming to Trinidad for the first time for cricket?
00:44Yeah, that's right. I just arrived at the airport about an hour ago.
00:48Just came down to watch this one day and then I'm going to watch the game on Sunday as well.
00:53What does it mean to you to be in the West Indies watching cricket?
00:56Huge, huge. When I grew up it was all about the West Indies cricket.
01:01And yeah, it's fantastic to me. I've been living in the Caribbean.
01:04I live in Anguilla for the last couple of years, but I've not seen any cricket yet.
01:08So I thought I'll come down to Trinidad for these two games.
01:11And I'm really enjoying it. Quite atmosphere. Yeah, it's pumped.
01:14Cheers, all the best.
01:15The vendors were also trying to make the most of it.
01:18Here they were selling merchandise, while on the other side customers were purchasing food and drink.
01:23For this female cricket fan, it was her first time in Teruba.
01:27It means a lot because I have always wanted to be enjoying this part of the Trinidad.
01:33And it's really nice.
01:35Which team are you supporting?
01:37West Indies.
01:39West Indies, West Indies.
01:41How optimistic are you about their chances?
01:44I don't want to say it, but we're hoping for the best. We hope for the best always.
01:48How optimistic are you about the Westernies against Pakistan?
01:5250-50 because we have not been performing well, but I wish them the best.
01:57It's a team I had to back them.
01:59How much pressure do you think they are under trying to go for a fourth straight home series win in one-day internationals?
02:05Not considerable amount of pressure. It's not particularly the coach.
02:09Will there be a bigger crowd for the second ODI, which is a day game on Sunday?
02:13It's left to be seen.
02:14The series ends on Tuesday with the final ODI, which bowls off at 9.30 a.m.
02:19Time will tell if it's the series decider or not.
02:22Whatever the case, crucial Wilka points are at stake for the prestigious tournament being held on the African continent in 2027.
02:30Now I need to export.
