00:00The Brian Lara Cricket Academy was the place to be on the Independence Day holiday in Trinidad and Tobago.
00:07The SAS fans were getting ready for the Republic Bank CPL clash between
00:10Homeside Trinbago Night Riders and Sinkets and Nevis Patriots.
00:14While the cricket lovers were planning to have a whale of a time,
00:17others had their work cut out for them.
00:21That included the flag vendor who was plying his trade at the venue in Teruba.
00:25Yes sir, today's Independence Day holiday, you're selling flags, how has it been going?
00:29The sales have been a little bit slow but we'll get there.
00:33Everything has been in God's hands.
00:35I hope everybody enjoy yourself, happy independence to everyone.
00:38Let's have a good time, win, lose or draw, let's just enjoy ourselves.
00:51Well we have with us Anthony Rose, also known as Jughead from Exodus.
00:55Sir, tell us what does it feel like, what's the vibe like?
00:58Hi, good morning, good morning.
01:00Well the vibes, it's always a pleasure to be here at the CPL games,
01:05because this is our fourth game.
01:08So Wednesday will be the last time we'll be out here.
01:11You know, it's well vibes, only a billion good weather.
01:15Some took the time out to have pictures taken, which was also caught on camera.
01:20It was all happening in the southern part of the island.
01:23Yes sir, looking forward to the game between TKR and the Patriots?
01:26Definitely.
01:27We are on a winning streak and I expect nothing different from my team, led by the powerful
01:33and the most active player, that's Nicholas Puran.
01:38We're looking for him to victory today.
01:40And who came along with you?
01:42Well I bought my beautiful wife as usual, she's the manager, and I bought my uncle straight
01:47out from Canada.
01:48He's visiting us and he came to the game today.
01:51Also gracing the venue with his presence was Sports Minister Philip Watts.
01:55He interacted with the fans, which included the future generation that may one day go on
02:02to represent the West Indies on the big stage.
02:04Then it was time to have some fun inside with the fans.
02:07We caught up with some who were patronising the vendors, and also those that posed for
02:12our cameras.
02:13Then it was time to meet some fans by the mound.
02:16I would say I have the extraordinary best seat in the house, yes?
02:19You see the sheer?
02:20Look at this.
02:21There's no better than this man.
02:23Are you coming for the last game as well?
02:25I will be here.
02:26Yes.
02:27Look out for me.
02:28Same seat.
02:29Same seat as well.
02:30And look out for these guys here as well.
02:32My whole team.
02:33Cheers.

02:42Very much so.
02:44Real excited.

02:49Yes we can.
02:51Sure.

02:55This is the first season ever that we are coming to games.
02:58Okay.
02:59Have you been to any matches this season at all?
03:01Yes.
03:02We came to the game with Guyana Amazon where we licked them.
03:06Based on that, do you think TKR can win this year's title?
03:09Definitely.
03:10Definitely.
03:11Some came with their placards hoping for a TKR win.
03:19This couple was certainly having a good time at the cricket.
03:22And so too were these fans who were waving the red, white and black.

03:27He'll be here.
03:28Yes!
03:29Go away!
03:31ail!
03:32Okay.
03:33Go away!
03:34Also attending the match was family of Patriots player Jed Guli.
03:38I understand that you are Jed Gulli's sister. How excited are you for this game?
03:43Honestly, I'm very much overwhelmed because seeing him take all his catches and bowling,
03:49it's honestly a surreal feeling seeing him here playing in person now. It's honestly surreal.
03:55And I understand you are his wife. Any words on Jed Gulli?
04:00I'm just happy to be here, always happy to support him. And I'm with him wherever he goes.
04:08You're from England. Tell us about the atmosphere in Trinidad.
04:15Pretty good. I used to go into cricket in England. It's a totally different vibe and atmosphere. More party.
04:25Are you enjoying it very much? Yes, part from the noise.
04:30Besides the cricket, the Muko Jumbies also put on a display which required some skills, that's for sure.
04:38Which team are you here to support?
04:45TKL! All the way!
04:48Then we met up with a birthday girl who was sitting in the middle.
04:52Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you!
05:03My bestie since school, since St. Jordan College Day!
05:07Yes sir, a big shout out to anyone?
05:09Of course, wanna shout out to the Trinidad fans, the Trinidad family coming out to support TKL. Let's go boys!
05:15Mr. Bravo, how proud are you of your two sons being part of the TKR unit?
05:30Very proud, 100%. Four of them.
05:33And what expectations do you have?
05:35Like that, TKR will go all the way to the final. I wish them all the best and I'm sure they could make it.
05:43Cheers!
05:43TKR won the clash by 12 runs, with the home leg coming to an end on Wednesday when they face St. Lucia Kings.
05:50I don't know, now I need to see if it's a sport.
