One man has been charged in connection with a robbery that took place at E-day supermarket on Milford Road, Scarborough, on June 30 while four men have been charged in connection with a robbery at Kadds Supermarket. Elizabeth Williams has more in this report.
00:00Cody Cajou, 28, was charged for the offence of robbery with violence and appeared before Master Franklin on Monday, where he was placed on $250,000 bail with a surety.
00:13He also has to sign in at the San Juan Police Station on Tuesdays and Fridays and was also placed on a daily curfew between the hours of 8.30 p.m. and 5.30 a.m. as a condition of his bail.
00:28On Monday 30th June 2025, a group of approximately six men, some armed with knives, entered E-Day supermarket located at Milford Road, Scarborough, and demanded cash from the three victims who were inside.
00:44The men dealt the victims several chops about their bodies and took over approximately $200,000 and $15,000 U.S. currency from them.
00:54P.C. Forbes conducted inquiries and proceeded to Trinidad with a party of officers, where Cody Cajou, age 28, years, of No. 15 Beatum Gardens, Trinidad, was arrested.
01:08Meantime, four men have been charged with robbery with aggravation at Cad's Supermarket Lowlands, Tobago.
01:16Ricardo Pujami, age 27, years, of Jusani Gardens, Lambo.
01:22Jamali Fraser of Lambo Road, Signal Hill, age 25.
01:28Anthony Edwards of Cornell Road, Rock Road, Signal Hill, age 34.
01:34And Nicholas Kwamina of Cornell Rock Road, Signal Hill were all charged by P.C. Jack.
01:41On Monday, 28th July, 2025, three men, one armed with a gun and another armed with a cutlass, entered Cad's Supermarket located at Lowlands and announced a robbery.
01:53The group demanded cash from the victims, who handed over a sum of $10,460 TT dollars.
02:01The swift response of the police led to the arrest of four suspects and seizure of the vehicle used in the robbery.
