00:00:00Prophesied in the days of King Josiah, one of the good kings of Judah,

00:00:05shortly before the coming judgment of the Babylonian captivity.

00:00:10His name actually means hidden, or God has hidden, Hebrew word Safan.

00:00:17And in his prophecy, which you're going to read, it says,

00:00:19it may be that you'll be hidden in the day of the Lord's anger,

00:00:23speaking about a place of protection in the time of judgment.

00:00:26It speaks a lot about the day of the Lord, which we're going to look at tonight.

00:00:30And the concept of the day of the Lord can mean the end of days,

00:00:35particularly the last days before the, in our view, the return of the Messiah.

00:00:40But it also has the implication of the day when God acts,

00:00:43when God does move into historical events.

00:00:46So God is moving and showing his power through things which are happening in the world,

00:00:51particularly in the land of Israel.

00:00:54And part of Jephunneh's prophecy can be seen as a prophecy of the coming

00:00:58invasion of the Babylonians,

00:01:01which took place in the, under, the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar.

00:01:09And when Babylon invaded, it invaded not only Israel,

00:01:12but affected the surrounding nations, including Moab and Ammon and Assyria,

00:01:17all of whom were devastated by the coming time of trouble.

00:01:19But it's also looking beyond this time,

00:01:22and we're going to look at it mainly in terms of the end of days,

00:01:25the day of the Lord,

00:01:27the day when God's wrath comes on a sinful world,

00:01:30but also promises a place of deliverance for the believers.

00:01:34He'll be hidden in the day of the Lord's anger.

00:01:36That's one of the big themes which we're going to look at tonight.

00:01:40And the final verses of Jephunneh very much speak of the blessings

00:01:43of the coming millennial kingdom,

00:01:45when the Messiah is going to reign,

00:01:47and the king will be in the midst of us,

00:01:49Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah.

00:01:52And so he's warning us both of a coming time of trouble,

00:01:56but also of the need to be in the Lord,

00:01:58so to be ready for his coming,

00:02:00be hidden from his wrath.

00:02:02So let's read some verses from Zephaniah.

00:02:04We're going to read, first of all, from chapter 1 and verse 14.

00:02:08It says,

00:02:08The great day of the Lord is near.

00:02:10It is near and hastens quickly.

00:02:12The noise of the day of the Lord is bitter.

00:02:15There the mighty men shall cry out.

00:02:17That day is a day of wrath,

00:02:19a day of trouble and distress,

00:02:21a day of devastation and desolation,

00:02:24a day of darkness and gloominess,

00:02:26a day of clouds and thick darkness,

00:02:29a day of trumpet and alarm against the fortified cities

00:02:31and against the high towers.

00:02:34I'll bring distress upon men,

00:02:36and they shall walk like blind men,

00:02:37because they have sinned against the Lord.

00:02:40Their blood shall be poured out like dust,

00:02:41and their flesh like refuse.

00:02:47Gather yourselves together,

00:02:48yes, gather together,

00:02:50O undesirable nation,

00:02:51before the decree is issued.

00:02:53Or the day passes like chaff,

00:02:55before the Lord's fierce anger comes upon you,

00:02:57before the day of the Lord's anger comes upon you.

00:03:00Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth,

00:03:03who have upheld his justice.

00:03:05Seek righteousness, seek humility,

00:03:06it may be that you'll be hidden in the day of the Lord's anger.

00:03:12And then some verses from chapter 3, verse 9.

00:03:15Speaking of the restoration,

00:03:18then I will restore the peoples to a pure language,

00:03:22that they may call on the name of the Lord,

00:03:24to serve him with one accord.

00:03:26From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia,

00:03:28my worshippers,

00:03:30the daughter of my dispersed ones,

00:03:32shall bring my offering.

00:03:34In that day you shall not be shamed

00:03:35for any of your deeds,

00:03:36in which you transgress against me,

00:03:38for I take away from your midst

00:03:40those who rejoice in your pride,

00:03:42and you shall no longer be haughty

00:03:44in my holy mountain.

00:03:46I will leave in your midst

00:03:47a meek and humble people,

00:03:49and they that shall trust

00:03:50in the name of the Lord.

00:03:52The remnant of Israel

00:03:53shall do no unrighteousness

00:03:55and speak no lies,

00:03:57nor shall a deceitful tongue

00:03:58be found in their mouth,

00:03:59for they shall feed their flocks

00:04:01and lie down,

00:04:02and no one shall make them afraid.

00:04:05Sing, O daughter of Zion,

00:04:06shout, O Israel,

00:04:07be glad and rejoice with all your heart,

00:04:09O daughter of Jerusalem.

00:04:11The Lord has taken away your judgments.

00:04:14He has cast out your enemy,

00:04:16the King of Israel.

00:04:17The Lord is in your midst.

00:04:19You shall see disaster no more.

00:04:22In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem,

00:04:23Do not fear, O Zion.

00:04:25Let not your hands be weak.

00:04:27The Lord your God is in your midst.

00:04:29The mighty one will save.

00:04:30He will rejoice over you with gladness.

00:04:32He will quiet you with his love.

00:04:34He will rejoice over you with singing.

00:04:36I will gather those who sorrow

00:04:40over the appointed assembly,

00:04:41who are among you,

00:04:43to whom reproach is a burden.

00:04:46Behold, at that time I will deal

00:04:47with all who afflict you.

00:04:49I will save the lame

00:04:50and gather those who are driven out.

00:04:52I will appoint them for praise and fame

00:04:54in every land where they were put to shame.

00:04:57At that time I will bring you back,

00:04:59even at the time I gather you.

00:05:01For I will give you fame and praise

00:05:03among all the peoples of the earth

00:05:04when I return your captives

00:05:06before your eyes, says the Lord.

00:05:10So Zechariah has a gloomy message.

00:05:13He speaks about the day of the wrath coming,

00:05:15the day of God's wrath,

00:05:16the day of God's judgment.

00:05:18He also speaks about the need

00:05:19for the believer to be in the Lord,

00:05:21to be in a place of safety.

00:05:23And he promises us that if we are

00:05:25in a good relationship with him,

00:05:27in a right relationship with him,

00:05:28then no matter what troubles

00:05:30and judgment will be coming,

00:05:31there's a place where you can be safe

00:05:33in the presence of the Lord.

00:05:35I think that's a very relevant message

00:05:37to people today

00:05:38because we see a time of trouble coming.

00:05:40We see all kinds of distressing situations

00:05:43upon the earth.

00:05:44And if you read the Bible,

00:05:45you read the prophecies of the end times,

00:05:47you read the prophecies of Jesus

00:05:48in Matthew 24 about the Olivet Discourse,

00:05:51about his second coming.

00:05:52You read through the book of Revelation

00:05:53from chapter 6 through to chapter 19.

00:05:56You have passages which are indeed

00:05:58very gloomy, actually.

00:05:59They're speaking about a time of intense trouble,

00:06:01a time of trouble unlike any

00:06:03that has been before or ever shall be.

00:06:05Speaking about a day of wrath

00:06:06and again judgment against

00:06:07the peoples of the earth.

00:06:10And if that is coming upon the earth,

00:06:11then we need to know how we can be

00:06:12in a place of safety,

00:06:14a place of relationship with God,

00:06:16so that we are in the right place with him.

00:06:20Coming back to Zechariah,

00:06:21he speaks about the day of the Lord being near,

00:06:24a day of wrath, a day of trouble,

00:06:25a day of distress upon men.

00:06:27The word used in Hebrew there is Adam,

00:06:31named for the first man,

00:06:32which also means humanity.

00:06:34So he's saying this is not just for Israel

00:06:37and that part of the world,

00:06:37it's for the whole of humanity.

00:06:39Something's going to come,

00:06:40which is going to be a day of trouble

00:06:41for the whole human race.

00:06:44It speaks also about a day of devastation,

00:06:46and the word used in Hebrew there

00:06:47is the word Shoah,

00:06:49which if you're familiar with the Hebrew terms,

00:06:51that's the word which is used

00:06:52in Hebrew for the Holocaust.

00:06:54So it speaks about a day of great distress,

00:06:58great trouble,

00:06:59and it speaks about the whole land being devoured.

00:07:03In the passage we read here,

00:07:05it uses the word land,

00:07:06the Hebrew word is Eretz,

00:07:08and Eretz can either mean the land,

00:07:10speak about Eretz Israel,

00:07:12it means the land of Israel,

00:07:13but Eretz can also mean the whole earth.

00:07:16So it could mean a specific problem

00:07:18coming upon the land of Israel,

00:07:19but also something which does affect the whole earth.

00:07:22If you follow through the end-time prophecies,

00:07:25you see that that is very much the case,

00:07:26that the epicentre, if you like,

00:07:28is what takes place in Israel

00:07:30and the neighbouring lands over Jerusalem,

00:07:33but is something which affects the whole earth,

00:07:35and which is a day of trouble for the whole world.

00:07:38The book of Jeremiah,

00:07:39which we looked at briefly last week,

00:07:41speaks about the time of Jacob's trouble,

00:07:44the time of Vince's trouble for people of Israel,

00:07:48but it also speaks about a time

00:07:49of general trouble on the earth.

00:07:51Jesus spoke about a time of great tribulation,

00:07:53and like any that has been before,

00:07:55or ever shall be,

00:07:56which will affect the whole earth.

00:07:58And he speaks about gathering together

00:08:00before the decree is issued.

00:08:03The decree actually means the day of the Lord's anger.

00:08:06So he's saying get ready,

00:08:07get ready to gather together

00:08:08before the Lord's anger comes upon you.

00:08:12And you could interpret that in different ways.

00:08:15We're gathering together tonight,

00:08:17and that's something which God tells us to do

00:08:18as we get nearer to the day of the Lord,

00:08:20to meet together,

00:08:21to learn about him.

00:08:23There's also going to be a gathering together

00:08:24of all the saints,

00:08:25in the event which we call the rapture of the church,

00:08:28in which God is going to take

00:08:29every born-again believer

00:08:30who has the Holy Spirit within them,

00:08:33out of this world to meet with Jesus,

00:08:34and to be transformed

00:08:36from being in the body which we're in now,

00:08:38into a new body,

00:08:39which will never get old,

00:08:40and never get sick,

00:08:41and never die,

00:08:42and be with the Lord forever.

00:08:44And Jesus tells us in,

00:08:45or Paul tells us in Thessalonians

00:08:47that we are to comfort one another

00:08:48with these words,

00:08:49that the day of the Lord is going to come,

00:08:51and the Lord is going to take

00:08:51those who believe in him

00:08:53to be with him forever.

00:08:55We have great debates in the Christian church

00:08:57about the timing of the event.

00:08:59We're not going to get into that tonight,

00:09:00but it is going to happen,

00:09:02and it's a call to Christians to be ready,

00:09:04to be gathered together to the Lord,

00:09:06and to be then in a place of extreme safety,

00:09:09because once you're gathered

00:09:10into the place of the Lord,

00:09:11then whatever troubles are taking place

00:09:13on the earth,

00:09:14in one sense,

00:09:15they're no longer your concern,

00:09:16because you're with the Lord

00:09:17in a place of safety,

00:09:19and so God says this is something

00:09:20that should comfort the believer.

00:09:24And Zephaniah then goes on

00:09:25to describe the judgment

00:09:27which are coming.

00:09:28I won't read all of that,

00:09:29but he starts with judgments

00:09:30coming upon the different nations

00:09:32which surround Israel.

00:09:34Interestingly,

00:09:35the first one he mentions

00:09:36is actually Gaza.

00:09:39If I can come to it.

00:09:41In chapter 2, verse 4,

00:09:49it says,

00:09:50Gaza shall be forsaken,

00:09:52and Ashkelon desolate.

00:09:54Ashkelon is just up the road

00:09:55from Gaza, by the way.

00:09:57So it speaks about something

00:09:57happening in the area of Gaza,

00:10:00but it goes on to speak

00:10:01about different countries.

00:10:02It speaks about Ammon,

00:10:03which is Jordan.

00:10:05It speaks about Moab.

00:10:07It speaks about Assyria,

00:10:08which is the northern part of Iraq.

00:10:10And it says that all these countries

00:10:12are going to be affected

00:10:12by this time of trouble.

00:10:14They were affected in the time

00:10:15when the Babylonians came in as well.

00:10:17So Babylon didn't just invade

00:10:18and attack Israel and Judea.

00:10:21It also attacked the countries

00:10:22surrounding it,

00:10:24and particularly the country

00:10:25to the north of Babylon,

00:10:26which was Assyria.

00:10:28So we have a general state

00:10:29of trouble,

00:10:31but also something specifically

00:10:32located around the land of Israel.

00:10:36It also goes on to speak

00:10:37about the judgment coming

00:10:39upon the rebellious and wicked city

00:10:41that has not obeyed the Lord,

00:10:44has not received correction,

00:10:45not trusted in the Lord.

00:10:48And if you look around the world today,

00:10:49we live in a world

00:10:50which is full of rebellion

00:10:51and pride and rejection of the Lord.

00:10:55Wherever you look,

00:10:55whatever country you're in,

00:10:56whether it's Britain or Russia

00:10:57or America

00:10:59or any of the countries of the world,

00:11:01there is a general spirit

00:11:02of rebellion against God

00:11:03which is taking hold upon people

00:11:05and becoming increasingly strong

00:11:07in the days in which we live.

00:11:09Jesus said it be as in the days of Noah

00:11:11at the time of his second coming.

00:11:13You read in the book of Noah,

00:11:15in the book of Genesis about Noah,

00:11:16it was a time when there was great wickedness

00:11:18on the face of the earth

00:11:19and every imagination of the heart of man

00:11:22was only evil continually.

00:11:24And the earth was filled with violence.

00:11:26And so God was displeased

00:11:28with what was taking place on the earth.

00:11:31Interesting, by the way,

00:11:31the word for violence in Genesis is Hamas.

00:11:35So put that one.

00:11:37Think about that.

00:11:39But there is a source of violence,

00:11:40particularly coming from terrorism,

00:11:43from drug pushing,

00:11:44from all kinds of things taking place,

00:11:46influences in the world

00:11:47which are towards violence and destruction.

00:11:50And of course, manifesting itself

00:11:52in some of the horrible wars

00:11:53which are taking place around us

00:11:54in the world today.

00:11:57Also speaks about threats

00:11:59to the people of the Lord.

00:12:00Chapter 2, verse 10, it says,

00:12:03this they shall have for their pride

00:12:05because they've reproached

00:12:06and made arrogant threats

00:12:07against the people of the Lord of hosts.

00:12:11So if these people are against God,

00:12:12they're also going to be against

00:12:13the people who belong to God.

00:12:15So are the people of the Lord of hosts.

00:12:18Do you count yourself amongst

00:12:20the people of the Lord of hosts?

00:12:21If you believe in Jesus,

00:12:23then you certainly are.

00:12:25And you're going to see

00:12:25there's going to be a spirit in the world

00:12:26which is going to be against you,

00:12:28an Antichrist spirit,

00:12:29which will get more and more strong

00:12:30as we get to the second coming

00:12:32of Jesus the Messiah.

00:12:34The Lord also has a covenant

00:12:35with the people of Israel,

00:12:36which hasn't been annulled

00:12:38because of the coming of Jesus.

00:12:41Some change is made to it,

00:12:42but God still has a covenant with Israel,

00:12:44and there's going to be a hostility

00:12:45to the Jewish people

00:12:47in the world at the end of days.

00:12:49And you can see that that is growing.

00:12:51You see some of the major forces

00:12:52which are both against Christians

00:12:54but also against Jews.

00:12:55Whether it's Islam,

00:12:57whether it's radical leftism,

00:12:59all these forces have a common root

00:13:01in their opposition to God,

00:13:03and therefore also their opposition

00:13:04to the people of God.

00:13:09And it also goes on to speak

00:13:10about corrupt rulers and judges.

00:13:16The next verse says,

00:13:19the Lord will be awesome to them.

00:13:22He will reduce to nothing

00:13:23all the gods of the earth.

00:13:24People should worship him.

00:13:26No, that's not what I was going to read.

00:13:28It's the next chapter.

00:13:34That's not good either.

00:13:36Anyway, there's a passage

00:13:36which speaks about coming against,

00:13:38oh, it's verse 3, that was it.

00:13:41Found it now.

00:13:42Chapter 3, verse 3.

00:13:43Her princes in her midst

00:13:44are roaring lions.

00:13:45Her judges are evening wolves

00:13:46that leave not a bone until morning.

00:13:49Her prophets are insolent,

00:13:51treacherous people.

00:13:52Her priests have polluted the sanctuary.

00:13:53They've done violence to the law.

00:13:56So he's saying that

00:13:57one of the features of this time

00:13:58also is going to be

00:13:58there's going to be a lot of corruption

00:13:59in the area of government.

00:14:03The princes are going to be

00:14:05like roaring lions,

00:14:08going to be corrupt.

00:14:09The judges are going to be

00:14:10like evening wolves.

00:14:12So you're going to see corruption

00:14:13in the area of government

00:14:14and of the expression of the law.

00:14:17Do you see that taking place

00:14:18in the world today?

00:14:21Increasingly so.

00:14:22And you see the prophets

00:14:23are going to be insolent.

00:14:24There's going to be people

00:14:25who are going to be speaking things

00:14:26in the name of the Lord

00:14:26which are against the Lord.

00:14:28And you're going to be priests

00:14:30who polluted the sanctuary.

00:14:32Do you see any of that

00:14:33happening in the world today?

00:14:35Do you see churches

00:14:36which have been defiled

00:14:37with bringing in the gay pride

00:14:40and rainbow flag,

00:14:41bringing in Islam

00:14:42and other religions

00:14:43into the church,

00:14:44polluting the sanctuary,

00:14:45polluting things

00:14:46which are of God

00:14:46by bringing in unholy things

00:14:48which are unrighteous

00:14:50in the eyes of the Lord.

00:14:52And so you have this general spirit

00:14:54which leads to violence

00:14:56and leads to immorality,

00:14:57leads to rebellion

00:14:58against the Lord.

00:15:01And in the midst

00:15:01of this gloomy scenario,

00:15:04the prophet also calls

00:15:05for the righteous

00:15:05to wait for the Lord.

00:15:07He says that he's going

00:15:09to gather the nations

00:15:10and pour out on them

00:15:11his indignation.

00:15:13Or says he's going

00:15:14to restore a pure speech

00:15:15to the peoples

00:15:18in chapter 3,

00:15:19a famous passage

00:15:20where he says

00:15:20in verse 9,

00:15:22I will restore to the people

00:15:23a pure language

00:15:24that they may call

00:15:25on the name of the Lord

00:15:26to serve him

00:15:27with one accord.

00:15:29Some have actually

00:15:29referred that to the fact

00:15:30that in modern Israel

00:15:31they've restored

00:15:32the ancient language

00:15:34of Israel.

00:15:34You could see that

00:15:36as a partial fulfillment

00:15:38of this prophecy

00:15:38but I think it's more

00:15:39than that.

00:15:40It's speaking about

00:15:40restoring a language

00:15:41to praise the Lord.

00:15:43People will call upon

00:15:44the name of the Lord

00:15:45even restoring some kind

00:15:46of a heavenly language.

00:15:48I'm not speaking here

00:15:49about gifts of the Holy Spirit

00:15:51but maybe that's part of it

00:15:52that God is going to restore

00:15:53a living language

00:15:55in which we can communicate

00:15:56with the Lord

00:15:56by the Holy Spirit

00:15:58and bring all people

00:15:59together in one

00:16:00so that we are

00:16:01no longer divided

00:16:02as we were at the time

00:16:03of the Tower of Babel

00:16:04as people were divided

00:16:06by different tongues

00:16:07so they were divided

00:16:08by cultures

00:16:09by religion

00:16:09by race.

00:16:11God wants to bring us

00:16:11together into one

00:16:12in the Lord

00:16:13to worship him

00:16:14in spirit and in truth

00:16:15and calling on

00:16:17the name of the Lord

00:16:18is a passage used

00:16:18in the Old Testament

00:16:19for true worship

00:16:20true worship

00:16:22of the Lord

00:16:22the true God

00:16:23as opposed to

00:16:24worshiping the false gods

00:16:25which are around them.

00:16:26and he goes on

00:16:33to say that

00:16:34he will leave behind

00:16:36a meek and a humble people

00:16:37who will trust

00:16:39in the name of the Lord

00:16:40and the meek

00:16:41shall inherit the earth

00:16:42is one of the things

00:16:42that Jesus says

00:16:43and a lot of the

00:16:44end time passage here

00:16:45I believe does speak

00:16:46about the coming time

00:16:47when Jesus is going

00:16:48to return

00:16:49in person

00:16:50in power

00:16:50and in glory

00:16:51and reign on the earth.

00:16:53Many Christians

00:16:54don't actually believe

00:16:55in a literal

00:16:56millennial kingdom

00:16:57but it's there

00:16:58in the Bible

00:16:58and the Bible says

00:17:00that the same Jesus

00:17:01who died the first time

00:17:03and was sacrificed

00:17:04for our sins

00:17:05went up to heaven

00:17:06after his resurrection

00:17:08is going to come again

00:17:09but this time

00:17:10in a different form

00:17:11this time

00:17:11as king of kings

00:17:12and lord of lords

00:17:13and dwell amongst us

00:17:14and restore the earth

00:17:15to the way it was

00:17:17before Adam and Eve fell

00:17:19going to bring an end

00:17:21to war

00:17:21bring an end

00:17:22to violence

00:17:23bring an end

00:17:24to all of the things

00:17:25which are defining

00:17:25the world today

00:17:26and in the passage here

00:17:28it says

00:17:29the king

00:17:31he has cast out

00:17:32the lord has taken away

00:17:33your judgments

00:17:34verse 15

00:17:34he has cast out

00:17:35your enemy

00:17:35the king of Israel

00:17:37the lord is in your midst

00:17:38you shall see disaster

00:17:39no more

00:17:40and it goes on to say

00:17:43the lord your god

00:17:44in your midst

00:17:46the mighty one

00:17:46will save

00:17:47he will rejoice over you

00:17:48with gladness

00:17:49he will quiet you

00:17:50with his love

00:17:50he will rejoice over you

00:17:52with singing

00:17:52i believe that by

00:17:55the spirit

00:17:56the lord is with us today

00:17:57because jesus said

00:17:58we're two or three

00:17:59gathered together

00:17:59in my name

00:18:00i'm there in the midst

00:18:01but this is talking about

00:18:03some kind of more

00:18:04visible presence

00:18:05of the lord

00:18:06on the earth

00:18:07at the time of the

00:18:09second coming

00:18:09of yeshua

00:18:10jesus the messiah

00:18:11says the king of israel

00:18:13is going to be

00:18:14in your midst

00:18:15and when he's in your midst

00:18:16you're going to see

00:18:16disaster

00:18:17no more

00:18:18time of the second coming

00:18:19of jesus

00:18:20he's going to bring an end

00:18:20to all the disasters

00:18:22all the troubles

00:18:22all the negativity

00:18:24which we see taking place

00:18:25in the world today

00:18:26and bring an end to

00:18:27sin and rebellion

00:18:29and above all

00:18:30bring an end to the

00:18:31role of satan

00:18:32the enemy

00:18:33in ruling over the nations

00:18:35he'll be cast out

00:18:36and placed into the abyss

00:18:38from which he can no longer

00:18:39deceive the nations

00:18:40so that time the king

00:18:42is going to be in your midst

00:18:43and

00:18:43if we are believers

00:18:45in yeshua

00:18:45i believe we're going to be

00:18:46coming back with him

00:18:47and reigning with him

00:18:48during that time

00:18:49when jesus is reigning

00:18:50on the earth

00:18:51and bringing peace

00:18:52and justice

00:18:52to the world

00:18:53i would very much like

00:18:55to see that happen

00:18:56wouldn't you

00:18:56and be there when it happens

00:18:58because

00:18:59it's going to be

00:18:59a glorious time

00:19:00today we live in such

00:19:02a distressing world

00:19:02when turning on the news

00:19:04is almost a torment

00:19:06and just hear one disaster

00:19:08after another

00:19:09imagine hearing about

00:28:15of destroying

00:30:24oslo accords

00:30:26would take

00:30:29in peace

00:30:30alongside israel

00:30:32recognize israel's

00:30:33right to

00:30:33exist

00:30:33hamas made

00:30:35no such

00:30:35promise

00:30:36and i have

00:30:37to say that

00:30:37the palestinian

00:30:38authority was

00:30:39probably deceiving

00:30:39when they said

00:30:40that but we'll

00:30:41leave that aside

00:30:45charter which

00:30:46as its

00:30:47forerunner says

00:31:11like an

00:31:25most brutal acts

00:31:26of terrorism of

00:31:27rape violence

00:31:28took hostages

00:31:30and began the

00:31:32war which has

00:31:32now lasted for

00:31:33nearly two

00:31:33years and the

00:31:35responsibility for

00:31:36all the suffering

00:31:36of the

00:31:37palestinians is

00:31:38with hamas

00:31:39they knew that

00:31:41they would provoke

00:31:41israel to take

00:31:42action which

00:31:43israel did

00:31:43they knew they

00:31:44could then use

00:31:45the suffering

00:31:46which israel

00:31:46would bring

00:31:46because they

00:31:47would bomb

00:31:48places and

00:31:48they would cause

00:31:49all kinds of

00:31:50destruction in

00:31:50is in gaza as

00:31:53propaganda which

00:31:54they could then

00:31:54use to say

00:31:54look how awful

00:31:55these israelis

00:31:56are they're

00:31:56like nazis

00:31:58they're like

00:31:58fascists they're

00:31:59like committing

00:32:00some war crimes

00:32:02and atrocities

00:32:02so you should be

00:32:04against israel

00:32:04and they push

00:32:06this line

00:32:06not just them

00:32:08i mean the whole

00:32:08world has pushed

00:32:09this line right

00:32:09across the world

00:32:10so that now you

00:32:11have most of the

00:32:12population of the

00:32:13western world as

00:32:16vehemently opposed

00:32:18to israel

00:32:19many of them

00:32:20violently opposed

00:32:21and so they

00:32:23use it as a

00:32:23propaganda game

00:32:24not just in a

00:32:26war against israel

00:32:27but a propaganda

00:32:27war which they

00:32:28have actually

00:32:28won very well

00:32:30and that's why

00:32:32they don't really

00:32:33want to make

00:32:33peace because

00:32:33they want to

00:32:34continue to use

00:32:35this and they

00:32:36don't mind how

00:32:36much suffering

00:32:37they bring upon

00:32:37the palestinians

00:32:38you hear about

00:32:39all this stuff

00:32:40about the food

00:32:40basically one of

00:32:42the big problems

00:32:42with the food

00:32:43is that hamas

00:32:43has been

00:32:44stealing the

00:32:44food putting

00:32:45it to its

00:32:46own supporters

00:32:47and then selling

00:32:48it on very

00:32:50inflated prices

00:32:51to the rest of

00:32:52the palestinian

00:32:52people

00:32:53and when

00:32:55the israelis

00:32:56tried to

00:32:56set up their

00:32:56own distribution

00:32:57center they

00:32:58tried to

00:32:59sabotage it

00:32:59which is why

00:33:00you had the

00:33:00violence taking

00:33:01place at

00:33:01these centers

00:33:03where they've

00:33:03been distributing

00:33:04food

00:33:04so the world

00:33:06just looks on

00:33:06and says all

00:33:07that was awful

00:33:07israelis are

00:33:08doing but

00:33:09actually the

00:33:09problem has

00:33:09been with

00:33:10what hamas

00:33:10has done

00:33:11and israel

00:33:12knows that

00:33:12that is what

00:33:13happens when

00:33:13you hand over

00:33:14territory to

00:33:16the arab

00:33:19leaders without

00:33:20any israeli

00:33:21concern so they

00:33:22don't want to

00:33:23do that in

00:33:24the west bank

00:33:24because the

00:33:25west bank is

00:33:25even more

00:33:26dangerous to

00:33:27israel itself

00:33:28so that's

00:33:30hamas let's

00:33:31talk about the

00:33:31government of

00:33:32mahmoud abbas in

00:33:33the present

00:33:33palestinian authority

00:33:34this has had no

00:33:37elections for 15

00:33:37years it has

00:33:38limited authority

00:33:39over the territory

00:33:40it has charge of

00:33:41in the west bank

00:33:42it's actually

00:33:43renewed on its

00:33:44conditions of the

00:33:45oslo accords

00:33:46which gave birth to

00:33:46it which it said

00:33:48it would live in

00:33:48peace with israel

00:33:49and not arm itself

00:33:51and not conduct

00:33:51terrorism

00:33:52they spent most

00:33:54of their time

00:33:54doing just that

00:33:55twice actually

00:33:59israel's offered

00:34:00the palestinian

00:34:00authority a peace

00:34:01settlement that

00:34:02had met most of

00:34:03their demands

00:34:04in 2000 under

00:34:05ehud barak and

00:34:06in 2007 under

00:34:08both times israel's

00:34:10offer was rejected

00:34:11in favor of

00:34:12terrorism against

00:34:13israel which the

00:34:14pa approves and

00:34:15funds so again the

00:34:17problem is not with

00:34:18israel it's with the

00:34:19palestinians and the

00:34:20palestinian authority

00:34:21who have posed any

00:34:23kind of real living

00:34:24alongside israel in

00:34:25peace and safety

00:34:26and to this day the

00:34:28palestinian authority

00:34:28uses mosques its

00:34:30media education system

00:34:32to feed the population

00:34:33with a constant diet of

00:34:34hatred for israel and

00:34:36jewish people

00:34:37majority of people in

00:34:39the west bank were

00:34:40happy with and

00:34:41supportive of hamas

00:34:42action on october the

00:34:447th and if the pa

00:34:46allowed elections it's

00:34:47likely to be replaced by

00:34:48hamas or forces with

00:34:49the same viewpoint in

00:42:34and security and they're turning the world

00:42:49now there's another aspect to this which

00:42:51is the question of god and the bible

00:43:03that there are certain passages in the bible

00:43:04which indicate that something along these

00:43:07lines is going to come in the last days

00:43:09and also the bible tells us that israel has a

00:43:13place in god's plan it speaks about the

00:43:15jewish people being scattered to the ends

00:43:16of the earth and being restored in the last

00:43:19days in the land of israel making the desolate

00:43:21land into a fertile land rebuilding ancient

00:43:25cities like beersheba like tel aviv next to

00:43:28yasha jaffo jerusalem and all these cities which will be rebuilt in the land of israel

00:43:34prophesied in ezekiel

00:43:36applies in ezekiel they're going to go back in unbelief

00:43:39but through a quick series of events taking place there they're going to come

00:43:43to faith in yeshua as the holy spirit is poured out upon them

00:43:47but they have to be there they have to be born of the flesh if you like

00:43:50before they can be born of the spirit

00:43:52and what you can see taking place today is that the enemy wants to

00:43:55destroy them so that they're not born of that they're no longer

00:43:58born of the flesh if you like they're longer there

00:44:01so you can then stop the born of the spirit bit

00:44:04and that that will then stop the return of yeshua jesus the messiah

00:44:08and he can have the whole world wrapped up under his control

00:44:11that's what he's working on

00:44:12that's why it's more than just a political situation

00:44:16and why which side you take on actually decides whether you're on the side of god

00:46:41which they use for the setting up of the state of israel

00:46:48to set yourself free from this disaster of israel

00:47:46that the name of israel will be remembered no more

00:47:49if you look at the long-term agenda

00:47:51it's the end of israel

00:47:53again before they entered into the peace mode

00:47:57one of the slogans of the plo was

00:47:59peace for us means the destruction of israel

00:48:01so okay so peace meant destroying israel

00:48:48he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering

00:48:53some people say it's in a temple

00:48:55they'll be offering sacrifices

00:48:57some people say it just means he's going to bring an end to

00:49:00any formal kind of worship of god

00:49:04through jesus christ actually

00:49:09on the wing of abomination

00:49:10shall be one who makes desolate

00:49:12even unto the consummation which is determined

00:49:14is poured out on the desolate

00:49:16or the hebrew does imply the desolator

00:49:19or the one who makes desolate

00:49:20otherwise the end of this process

00:49:21is going to be some kind of desolation

00:49:23which will come on the one who makes desolate

00:49:25but the one who brings in the abomination of desolation

00:49:28or the antichrist

00:49:29it's going to be

00:49:30have desolation poured out upon him

00:49:32at the second coming of yeshua the messiah

00:49:35but notice that he's going to confirm

00:49:37some kind of a covenant

00:49:38some kind of covenant which is already there

00:49:41implies that he hasn't actually made this covenant

00:50:20to all the surrounding peoples

00:50:21when there lay siege against judah and jerusalem

00:50:23it should happen in that day

00:50:25that i will make jerusalem a very heavy stone

00:50:27for all peoples

00:50:27all who would heave it away

00:50:29will surely be cut in pieces

00:50:31though all nations of the earth

00:50:33are gathered against it

00:50:34that's an extraordinary prophecy

00:50:37written by zechariah 500 years before time of jesus
