00:00Jesus speaking to the disciples about the fact that he was about to depart from them
00:06and getting them ready for that event.
00:09He says, now I've told you before it comes that when it does come to pass you may believe.
00:15I've told you before it comes that when it does come to pass you may believe.
00:19So Jesus was basically telling the disciples something which they really didn't want to hear.
00:24That the one they'd been with for three years and have learned to love and to believe in
00:29and to follow and believing that he was going to bring in the messianic kingdom
00:34and hoping that this was going to be their fulfilment of their life's work, if you like.
00:39He was about to depart from them.
00:41And this was calling them great trouble.
00:44He's telling them, I'm telling you this before it happens so that when it does happen you may believe.
00:51And it just occurred to me that there's something in that about Bible prophecy.
00:57God has told us things which are going to happen before they happen
01:00so that when they do happen we might believe.
01:02We might have some sort of guidance as to what's really going on.
01:06Maybe something would be troubling.
01:07If you go back to the first verses of this chapter in chapter 14, verse 1,
01:15Jesus says,
01:46So Jesus is saying he's going to go away and he's going to come again.
01:50And I believe that we're living in the days before Jesus comes again.
01:53And he's going to prepare a place for us.
01:55And he's told us certain things are going to happen.
01:57And when you see these things begin to happen,
01:59he says, don't freak out and despair and think it's all out of control
02:03because actually God is in control.
02:05And things are going to happen which are going to lead you to believe,
02:08A, that Jesus came the first time to fulfill prophecy,
02:11and B, that he's going to come the second time to fulfill prophecy.
02:14We're going to come back to John's Gospel.
02:16I just want to say a little bit about what's actually happening now.
02:20Last week I spoke about the situation in Iran.
02:23I gave a talk on Persia and prophecy.
02:28And we actually had a lot of views of that on the internet.
02:31I think we got up to about nearly 3,000 views on the two talks I gave on the two
02:35sites.
02:36So obviously these things are, people are interested in it.
02:39I think one of the things which I noticed today is that
02:42even people who don't believe the Bible,
02:44when you can tell them that things are happening
02:46which were prophesied in the Bible,
02:49they take notice.
02:51And that's, I believe, part of what we've got to do.
02:53That's what I try and do with Light for the Last Days.
02:55And the talk's here as well.
02:58If you remember last week,
02:59if you were here last week,
03:00I gave a prophecy,
03:02or I didn't give a prophecy,
03:03I read a prophecy from the book of Jeremiah,
03:07chapter 49,
03:09where the Lord speaks about Elam.
03:12And the verse 35, it says,
03:14Thus says the Lord of hosts,
03:16I will break the bow of Elam,
03:17the foremost of their might,
03:19against Elam I will bring the four winds
03:21from the four quarters of heaven
03:22and scatter them towards all those winds.
03:25There should be no nations
03:26where the outcasts of Elam will not go.
03:28I will cause Elam to be dismayed
03:30before their enemies,
03:31before those who seek their life.
03:34I will bring disaster upon them,
03:35my fierce anger, says the Lord.
03:37I will send the sword after them
03:39until I have consumed them.
03:41I will set my throne in Elam
03:43and will destroy from there
03:45the king and the princes, says the Lord.
03:47It shall come to pass in the latter days
03:49that I will bring back the captives
03:50of Elam, says the Lord.
03:52And now Elam is actually Persia or Iran today.
03:56It's the western part of Persia
03:57in the Bible times.
03:59And God says in this passage,
04:01there's going to come an event
04:02when he's going to break the bow of Elam.
04:04In the Bible terms,
04:05a bow is a weapon of war, if you like.
04:09And he's saying here
04:10that something's going to happen
04:11to break this bow.
04:13So, if you follow what happened last week,
04:17Israel and the Americans
04:19have destroyed 80% of the Iranians' missiles.
04:25Missiles buried underground,
04:26they've destroyed them,
04:27they've destroyed the rocket launchers.
04:29And whereas they were firing
04:31100 missiles a day,
04:33they're now firing about eight a day.
04:35It's gone right down.
04:37And it just occurs to me,
04:39this is partially what it's talking about.
04:40Something's going to happen
04:41that's going to break the bow,
04:42break the missile potential of it.
04:44It also speaks about
04:45bringing disaster upon them.
04:49And destroying from there
04:50their king and their princes.
04:53So what's happened in the last week,
04:55you've seen some of the rulers of Iran
04:56being destroyed, killed.
04:59And a disaster's come upon them.
05:01Now, it's not the end of the story,
05:02but it's just some things
05:04which are written here,
05:05which you can see are shaping up
05:07what God's going to do in the end times,
05:09what God is doing.
05:12I also mentioned last week
05:13the prophecy in the book of Revelation
05:15about the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
05:17I mentioned that also this week
05:19in the Bible study.
05:21In that, you can see that
05:22there is a force going forth
05:23to conquer and to conquer.
05:24A rider on a white horse
05:26followed by a rider on a red horse.
05:28A red horse brings war
05:29and is followed by
05:31the rider on the black horse
05:33who brings famine
05:34and the rider on the pale horse
05:36who brings mass death.
05:37In fact, two-thirds of,
05:39one-quarter of the human population
05:41according to Revelation 6
05:42dies at that time.
05:44Very somber and could be depressing prophecies.
05:47But when you look at the Bible,
05:49you can see that these things
05:50are being shaped up in what's happening.
05:52That the Bible is speaking about
05:53events that are going to happen
05:54in the last days
05:55before Jesus returns.
06:00And so,
06:01when you look at these things
06:03and you see that
06:04God has told us
06:05these things are going to happen
06:06and they are happening,
06:08you've got to conclude
06:09that they're leading
06:10towards the final event
06:11which would be
06:12the second coming
06:12of Jesus the Messiah.
06:15And Jesus said,
06:16when you see these things
06:17begin to happen,
06:18then don't panic
06:19but look up and lift up your heads
06:20because your redemption draws near.
06:23Now, in the meantime,
06:24obviously it is very distressing
06:26and we see things happening
06:27which, you know,
06:29I hate war
06:30and I hate seeing people
06:32suffering and bombs falling
06:33and people in this situation.
06:38And you can also come to a point
06:41where people think
06:41that it's getting out of control
06:43and is there anything
06:44going to happen
06:45which is going to hold it back
06:47and there are real dangers
06:49in this present situation
06:50that it could move
06:52much further out of control.
06:55You know,
06:56they've got rid of the leadership
06:57at the present time.
06:58Now they're going to try
06:59and get some more people in power.
07:01Talking about the man's
07:02Ayatollah Khamenei's son
07:04being the next one
07:05to come into power.
07:08Is that going to change things
07:09or probably much more
07:11for the worse even?
07:14And the present situation
07:21is that there's really nobody
07:22actually in control.
07:25They knocked out the commanders
07:27as well as the Ayatollah.
07:28They knocked down
07:29the command and control centers.
07:31And you've got now local leaders
07:32acting without kind of anyone
07:34telling them what to do.
07:36President,
07:36a few days ago,
07:38President Przeszkian,
07:40he apologized to the Gulf states
07:41because they've fired missiles
07:42into Bahrain
07:44and Qatar
07:45and United Arab Emirates,
07:48Dubai.
07:49And he apologized for it.
07:51He said that shouldn't have happened.
07:55Just a few hours later,
07:56it continued to happen.
07:57It tells you that he's not in control.
08:00Who's in control?
08:01So you've got a situation
08:02where there are all kinds of people
08:03going around doing their thing
08:04and nobody quite knows
08:06what's going to happen.
08:07Once you've unleashed this thing,
08:08it could head anywhere.
08:11Trump is hoping that
08:12the people are going to rise up
08:14and overthrow the regime.
08:16He actually has four aims.
08:17One is that they should
08:18get rid of all their nuclear bombs,
08:21plans for a nuclear weapon.
08:23Second is that they should
08:24get rid of all their missiles.
08:26Thirdly, that they should
08:26stop supplying missiles
08:27and armaments to the proxy groups.
08:30That's Hezbollah, Hamas
08:31and all the people
08:31around about Israel.
08:34And fourthly, that they should
08:37change the situation
08:38in which the people
08:39demonstrate and then
08:40they get shot on the streets.
08:42Now, if they do all of those things,
08:43then the regime will
08:44certainly fall immediately.
08:46So they're not going to do that.
08:49And in fact, just the last few days,
08:53the leader has said that
08:54if the young people go out
08:56on the street and demonstrate,
08:57they're going to get shot.
08:58So they don't go out and demonstrate,
09:00you'll get shot immediately.
09:01So there's no chance, actually,
09:02that people are going to rise up
09:03in rebellion at the present time
09:05because you've got all the militias
09:06going around with the guns.
09:09And these people are actually,
09:11the people in power
09:13are actually quite fanatical
09:15and quite dangerous.
09:16I don't know if you know
09:17what they believe,
09:17but they believe that they are
09:20living in their version
09:21of the last days.
09:23They believe that there is
09:24a man called the Mahdi,
09:26who is also the 12th Imam.
09:28And I don't know if you know
09:29this story,
09:29but they believe this guy
09:30was some,
09:31I think he was the 12th descendant
09:32of Muhammad in Shiite religion.
09:35And he was,
09:36and around the 9th century,
09:38he kind of disappeared.
09:39He went into some cave
09:41and they never saw him again.
09:43And they call this the occultation,
09:45which is a strange way to call it.
09:47But they say that he disappeared
09:50and he's going to stay alive.
09:52And he's going to appear
09:53at the end of days
09:54and lead them
09:55in this great campaign
09:57to bring the Shiite Muslims
09:59to power.
10:01They actually believe this stuff.
10:02They had a president
10:03called Ahmadinejad,
10:06who declared this to the UN
10:07about 10 years ago.
10:09And he said,
10:10this is going to happen.
10:11This is what's going to happen.
10:12We're waiting for the Mahdi to come.
10:14And he's going to bring
10:15the victory of Islam.
10:17He's going to destroy Israel.
10:19He's going to destroy the West.
10:20He's going to bring in
10:21this great apocalyptic scurge.
10:22And he's going to come back
10:24with Esau,
10:24who is the Muslim version of Jesus.
10:28Now, does that sound
10:29a bit strange to you?
10:32But you believe that Jesus
10:33is coming back, don't you?
10:34That might sound strange to them.
10:37But we believe Jesus
10:38is coming back
10:38and it's not up to us
10:40to try and make war
10:41to bring him back.
10:42They believe they've got to make war
10:44to bring this guy back again.
10:45So it's a very dangerous view
10:46because in their view,
10:47if they can do bring this to pass,
10:51then they're going to bring about
10:51this great, wonderful thing
10:54in which the Mahdi will come
10:55and bring Islam to power,
10:58destroy Israel, and so on.
11:01And because they believe this,
11:02this is not just a sort of
11:03political idea,
11:04it's a religious idea.
11:06And they really believe this,
11:08then they're going to carry on
11:09until they die.
11:11And they don't mind if they die
11:13because they go straight to heaven
11:14and they're paradise
11:14and they have the 72 virgins
11:16to look after them
11:17and all that kind of stuff.
11:18And I have to say
11:19that most Iranians
11:20actually don't believe this.
11:21And one of the things
11:22they're up against now
11:22is the fact that
11:23very few people
11:24really believe this narrative anymore.
11:27So you have this
11:29diversion within the people
11:30of those who believe it
11:31and the unbelievers
11:32who are probably 95%.
11:35And the 5% who believe it
11:37have got the guns
11:37and they've got the power.
11:39The 95% don't believe it.
11:41And they're trying
11:42to get rid of the regime.
11:43Now I think Trump hopes
11:44that as a result of
11:45dropping bombs on them,
11:46they're going to rally
11:47the people around
11:48and they'll get rid of the regime.
11:49It doesn't always work that way.
11:51And it's quite a dangerous situation
11:53because who knows
11:55where it's going to end up.
11:58The Israelis also
11:59obviously want this to happen
12:00because they want to get rid
12:01of this regime
12:02because this regime
12:03says death to Israel.
12:06In fact, they say
12:06death to Israel,
12:07death to America.
12:09They talk a lot about death
12:10and that's another thing
12:11which you find with these people
12:12that they love death
12:15and we love life.
12:17And the Israelis
12:17and the Jews love life
12:18and they want to live.
12:20They don't want to die.
12:21But these guys,
12:22death is good for them
12:24and if they die,
12:25they go straight to paradise
12:26so they're not worried
12:26about that situation.
12:29So you've got this
12:29kind of fanatic spirit
12:30which is there.
12:32And Israel is looking
12:34for some regime change
12:35and end to these
12:36army of the proxies,
12:37the Hamas and Hezbollah
12:39and all the people
12:40who brought misery to Israel.
12:42And they're hoping
12:43that it's going to come to pass.
12:44They want to disarm
12:45the regime
12:46and remove the threat
12:49which is a reasonable request.
12:53If they're successful
12:54they could then move
12:55to a peace settlement.
12:56So it's about
12:57destroying the ability
12:58of the Ayatollahs
12:59to threaten Israel's existence.
13:01That's what's in it
13:02for Israel.
13:05That's not entirely
13:06what the US is after.
13:07Now I haven't got time
13:08to go into this
13:08and I won't bore you
13:09with all the political details
13:11but there is a view
13:11that part of the program
13:14from America's point of view
13:15is that America
13:16has this leadership role
13:18if you like
13:19in the Western world.
13:20The American dollar
13:21is the world's reserve currency
13:25and America has the allies
13:27including NATO
13:28including Europe
13:30and so on
13:30and Israel.
13:32You have another group
13:33of people
13:34which is
13:35Russia
13:36China
13:38Iran
13:39and the
13:40what they call
13:40the BRICS nations
13:41who are pulling together
13:43to bring a
13:44grouping
13:45which will confront America
13:47and part of what
13:48the BRICS nations
13:48actually want to do
13:49is to dethrone the dollar
13:51because they know
13:52that if they can dethrone
13:53the dollar
13:53then they can break
13:54the power of America
13:55and they can then
13:56stop America
13:57doing things like
13:58putting sanctions
13:58on Russia
13:59which they did
14:00after the Ukraine war
14:01putting sanctions
14:02on Iran
14:02and controlling
14:03global trade
14:04and so on.
14:05If America loses
14:06the dollar
14:08it loses
14:08a lot of its
14:10financial power
14:11or its political power.
14:13In fact Trump
14:13said quite recently
14:14that losing the dollar
14:15would be like
14:16losing a world war.
14:19Okay
14:20so if that's the situation
14:22then it's very important to him.
14:23Now according to this article
14:24in the Telegraph
14:25which I'm not going to read
14:26the whole thing
14:27it says the war
14:28is a conflict
14:29to reverse
14:30the creeping power
14:31of China
14:33whose proxy is Iran
14:35and he goes on
14:35to say that
14:36there is a whole
14:36background to this
14:37relating to
14:38the power of China
14:40confronting America.
14:41China actually relies
14:42on Iran
14:43for its oil.
14:45China doesn't have
14:46any oil
14:46and it gets
14:46I think
14:47it takes 85%
14:49of Iran's oil
14:5080% of Iran's oil
14:52about 1.3 million
14:54barrels a day
14:56does this through tankers
14:58which go through
14:58the Straits of Hormuz
14:59and through to China
15:00and it provides
15:03through this
15:03it provides Iran
15:04with most of its money.
15:06Most of Iran's money
15:08then goes on
15:08providing the aid
15:10to its proxies
15:11to Hezbollah
15:11and to Hamas
15:14and all those
15:15nasty people
15:16who want to destroy Israel.
15:18So it's got this
15:19tech thing
15:20lining up with America
15:21against China
15:22against Russia
15:23and Israel
15:25on America's side.
15:27You've got this
15:28global confrontation.
15:32Also because
15:33that area
15:33is where
15:34most of the oil
15:34comes from
15:35well not most of the oil
15:36but a large proportion
15:37of the world's oil
15:38is found in the
15:39Persian Gulf area
15:40and goes through
15:41the Straits of Hormuz
15:42which is the
15:43narrow strait
15:44at the end
15:44of this
15:44Persian Gulf area
15:46which through
15:4720% of the world's oil
15:48goes.
15:50Now one of the things
15:51which has happened
15:52this week
15:53is that the Iranians
15:54have begun to close down
15:55the Straits of Hormuz.
15:57Once you close down
15:58the Straits of Hormuz
15:59then no tankers
16:00can go through
16:00that narrow strait
16:01so all the tankers
16:04are stuck in the
16:04Persian Gulf.
16:06Some want to go in
16:07some want to go out
16:08but trade is stopping.
16:12Is that going to make
16:12any difference
16:13to the world?
16:14Certainly is.
16:17It says here
16:18the Iran has threatened
16:19to set fire to ships
16:21with about 200 tankers
16:23effectively stranded.
16:24Oil prices have risen
16:25to their highest level
16:26more than two years
16:27after Qatar's
16:28energy minister
16:30warned he expects
16:31all oil and gas
16:31exporters in the Gulf
16:33to stop production
16:34within days.
16:36That's going to have
16:37an effect upon all of us
16:39because
16:41even if we don't get
16:42our oil and gas
16:43from that area
16:43and we do get
16:44some of it
16:45quite a lot of it
16:46it's going to affect
16:47the prices
16:48around the world.
16:51If you go to the
16:52tumps today
16:53you'll find it's
16:53gone up about
16:54four or five pence
16:54already
16:55it'll continue
16:56to go up.
16:59This
17:00man from Qatar
17:01he said
17:01if this war
17:02continues for a few weeks
17:03GDP growth
17:04around the world
17:04will be impacted
17:05everyone's energy price
17:06is going to go higher
17:07there'll be shortages
17:08of some products
17:09there'll be a chain reaction
17:11in factories
17:11that can't supply.
17:15So you've got
17:16a potential situation
17:17going to affect
17:18the whole world
17:20and
17:21once it's started
17:22it's very difficult
17:23to stop these things.
17:24If they do start
17:25firing at tankers
17:26then that'll be
17:27not just a
17:30material disaster
17:31it'll be an ecological
17:32disaster as well.
17:33I typed into my
17:35Google thing
17:36what happens
17:37if they sink tankers
17:38in the
17:38Persian Gulf
17:40so it'll be
17:41an ecological
17:41catastrophe
17:43it'll cause
17:44oil to spill
17:46if you think of
17:47if you sink
17:47a full tanker
17:49and it sets fire
17:51you're going to have
17:51a massive disaster
17:52ecologically
17:53killing wildlife
17:54but also poisoning
17:55the water itself
17:57and apart from anything else
17:59many of these
17:59Gulf countries
18:00actually get their
18:00water supply
18:01from desalination
18:02parts on the
18:03Persian Gulf
18:04so if you've got
18:04them being contaminated
18:06with oil
18:06it's going to affect
18:07their water as well
18:09and another point
18:11about this whole scenario
18:12is that water
18:13is one of the big
18:14issues
18:15in the whole region
18:17talk about
18:18wars over oil
18:20water in Iran
18:22is a big problem
18:22it's a big problem
18:23in Iraq
18:24it's a big problem
18:25in the whole region
18:25because of
18:26cutting down of water
18:28also of
18:29building dams
18:30in the wrong places
18:31and so on
18:32but this whole scenario
18:33in Iran
18:34started when the president
18:34said that they were
18:35running out of water
18:36and they might have to
18:37shift the whole population
18:38of Tehran
18:38up because there's
18:39no water there
18:41so you've got these
18:42issues
18:43which you need more
18:44water or oil
18:47water
18:48yeah
18:50so you've got
18:51these things
18:51which are coming
18:52upon this whole region
18:53and affecting
18:54the whole world
18:55you've got an
18:56environmental problem
18:57you've got a
18:59massive kind of
19:00economic problem
19:01coming
19:02and the possibility
19:03of a global
19:03recession
19:06which could affect
19:06us here as well
19:07of course
19:08our own government
19:09is in poor shape
19:10you've got all these
19:10forces
19:12pushing us
19:12this way and that
19:13in the UK
19:14you've got a whole lot
19:15of people who are
19:17manically anti-Israel
19:19and are using this
19:20are going to use
19:21this situation
19:22to be more and more
19:22anti-Israel
19:24you saw what happened
19:25in that by-election
19:25the other week
19:27where the Greens
19:28getting into power
19:29using their
19:31influence on the
19:32Muslims
19:33and
19:35these people
19:35really hate Israel
19:36they want to destroy
19:37Israel
19:38and you're going to see
19:39as this situation
19:40if this situation
19:41goes bad
19:41which I think
19:42it may well do
19:43they're going to end
19:44up blaming who
19:45the Jews
19:46and Israel
19:47it's already happening
19:48in fact I read
19:49in the paper
19:50I think there was
19:50a Jewish school
19:52went to play
19:52a football match
19:53and they were
19:53shouting
19:53screaming
19:54abuse at them
19:55for being dirty
19:56Jews
19:56and Zionists
19:57and so on
19:59it also said
19:59in the newspaper
20:00in the Daily Mail
20:02that there's
20:02Iranian groups
20:04which are
20:05pro the regime
20:07operating in this area
20:09going around
20:10finding out
20:11where there are
20:11Jewish synagogues
20:12and Jewish homes
20:13and marking them out
20:14with the potential
20:15to target them
20:17and it occurs to me
20:18that because of
20:18what we're saying here
20:19we could also be
20:20on the
20:20barring list for this
20:21because we're
20:23making a stand
20:23for Israel
20:24and for the Jews
20:24and we're against
20:26the Iranian regime
20:29so you've got
20:30these forces
20:31which are being
20:31unleashed here as well
20:33you've got our
20:34government
20:34which tends to
20:36bow down to them
20:37see all the fact
20:38that they keep
20:39going on about
20:40how wonderful
20:40Ramadan is
20:41you notice that
20:43having on
20:44Ramadan celebrations
20:45in cathedrals
20:46in Westminster Hall
20:47and Windsor
20:49Castle
20:49I think they had
20:50one
20:51and it's all
20:52part of the
20:53bowing down
20:54to Islam
20:55and this is
20:56what's going to
20:56be part of
20:57the agenda
20:58and if that
20:59happens then
21:00is that good
21:01news for us
21:01certainly not
21:03and you've got
21:04an alliance
21:04between the
21:05far left
21:06and the
21:07Islamists
21:07which was
21:08manifested
21:08in the
21:09Green Party
21:10vote last week
21:12and if you look
21:12at both of those
21:13things they're
21:13motivated by an
21:14ideology which is
21:15anti-Christian
21:16you've got a
21:17Marxist
21:18anti-Christian
21:18element
21:19you're an
21:20Islamic
21:20anti-Christian
21:21element
21:22they're also
21:22anti-Israel
21:23they're also
21:24anti-Jewish
21:25so you're
21:26going to have
21:26these two
21:26forces coming
21:27together
21:27which are
21:30against us
21:30all
21:31and you've
21:32got this
21:32government
21:32which frankly
21:34doesn't know
21:34what it's
21:35doing
21:36making all
21:36the wrong
21:37decisions
21:38and actually
21:39boosting
21:39half the
21:40time
21:40anti-Christian
21:41anti-democratic
21:41organisations
21:42and going to
21:44move more
21:44and more
21:45to the
21:46left
21:46to supporting
21:46these
21:47groups
21:48so if
21:48you profile
21:49that through
21:49then
21:50I can't
21:50tell you
21:51things are
21:51going to
21:51get much
21:51better
21:52in the
21:52days to
21:53come
21:55and so
21:56we have
21:56to come
21:57well
21:57what are
21:57the
21:57possibilities
21:58what's
21:58going to
21:58come out
21:59of this

28:48Oslo
28:49Accords
28:49and so
28:50on
28:51but
28:52this
28:53appears
28:53to be
28:53something
28:53which is
28:54more
28:56vital
28:56and one
28:57of the
28:57things
28:57which
28:58Trump
28:58is
28:58of course
28:58also
28:59working
28:59on
29:00is
29:00his
29:00peace
29:01plan
29:02now
29:02you might
29:03be saying
29:03well
29:03is Tony
29:04coming to
29:04the point
29:04now that
29:04Trump
29:05is the
29:05Antichrist
29:06I'm not
29:06going to
29:06say that
29:07but it's
29:07interesting
29:08that he
29:08is looking
29:08for a
29:09peace
29:09program
29:11and he
29:11hopes that
29:11out of
29:12the Gaza
29:12war
29:12that's
29:12going to
29:13happen
29:14now if
29:14you come
29:15together
29:15with this
29:16Iran
29:16thing
29:16that could
29:17be
29:17what's
29:17going
29:17to
29:17happen
29:20we
29:20don't
29:20know
29:21but
29:22these
29:22are
29:22possibilities

29:26know there's
29:26going to be a lot of
29:27deception around
29:28in fact when the
29:29disciples asked
29:30Jesus what would be the
29:30sign of your coming
29:31and of the end of
29:32the age
29:33the first thing he
29:33said was not wars
29:34and rumours of wars
29:35he said take heed
29:35that no one deceives
29:36you
29:37otherwise there's
29:38going to be a
29:38strong spirit of
29:39deception in these
29:40last days
29:41so people are
29:41going to be coming
29:42up with all kinds
29:43of things which
29:43may be spiritual
29:44they may sound
29:45good
29:46and they may
29:47appear attractive
29:49but you have to be on
29:50guard because if
29:51they're offering you
29:52some kind of
29:52messianic solution
29:54something like the
29:55new age which
29:56you're talking
29:56about
29:57then you can
29:58see there'll be
29:59a deception
30:01which will
30:02deceive people
30:03and people are
30:04open to being
30:04deceived now because
30:06if you reject
30:06Jesus you're
30:07going to be open
30:08to the deception
30:12the bible tells us
30:13we need to be ready
30:13for difficult times

30:16that and we see
30:18much of the world
30:19affected by the
30:20wars and the
30:21famines which
30:22obviously are making
30:23life very difficult
30:25we see financial
30:26insecurity many in
30:28poverty even in this
30:29part of the world
30:30and economic crisis
30:31all over the place
30:37so what are we
30:38going to do about
30:38it
30:41and ask the
30:42question what would
30:42Jesus do what
30:44does he want me
30:45to do what
30:46does he want you
30:46to do what
30:48does he want here
30:48at the bridge
30:49to do
30:51it occurs to me
30:52that the number
30:54of little passages
30:55in the bible
30:56I looked at one
30:57in psalm 11
31:01in psalm 11 it
31:02says in the
31:02lord I put my
31:03trust how can
31:04you say to my
31:05soul flee as a
31:06bird to your
31:06mountain for
31:08look the wicked
31:08bend their bow
31:09they make ready
31:10their arrow on
31:10the string that
31:11they may shoot
31:12secretly at the
31:13upright in heart
31:14if the foundations
31:16are destroyed what
31:16can the righteous
31:17do a couple of
31:20interesting points in
31:21that passage it
31:22says first of all
31:23put your trust in
31:24the lord
31:26ultimately the one
31:27person who he can
31:28trust in is god
31:29himself
31:32also he's saying
31:33that people are
31:33going to be saying
31:34flee as a bird to
31:35your mountain and
31:37the wicked are making
31:39firing arrows at
31:40you
31:40thought about that
31:41well what could
31:42that mean
31:44and I guess one of
31:45the temptations
31:46which I find
31:46myself is that
31:48what I feel I
31:49should do in this
31:50situation is just
31:51get out of it
31:53you know last
31:54last week actually
31:55we had a few days
31:55away it was nice
31:56we went down to
31:57the south coast
31:57and actually chose
31:59the three days when
31:59it's the sunshine
32:01and I thought well
32:02I've been working
32:03hard for the last
32:04three months
32:04haven't had any
32:05breaks
32:06gotta go in
32:07hospital this
32:07week and I
32:08thought well we'll
32:09have a few days
32:09off
32:10I went down
32:10there and as
32:11we were walking
32:12around I thought
32:12it's really nice
32:13down here
32:15there's no agro
32:17it's sort of
32:18peaceful
32:18went around these
32:19nice little
32:20villages and towns
32:21on the south coast
32:22beautiful scenery
32:22thought it'd be
32:23really nice to
32:24just jack all this
32:26stuff in and go
32:26and live down
32:27there and wait
32:28for the second
32:28coming and you
32:30know I don't have
32:30to do anything
32:31about it but I'm
32:32saved so I can
32:33leave it all
32:35and I thought
32:36that would be a
32:36good idea wouldn't
32:38you know I mean
32:38actually we could
32:39do it I mean we
32:41have our own
32:41house we could
32:42sell it and I
32:44could live on a
32:44pension and profit
32:45which you make for
32:46buying somewhere
32:46cheaper down there
32:47and so it would be
32:48a good way out
32:50flee like a bird
32:54but no
32:57something tells me
32:57that's not what
32:58God wants me to
32:59do that's not
33:00what God wants
33:00us to do
33:02the other thing
33:02it says here is
33:03if the foundations
33:04are destroyed what
33:04can the righteous
33:05do and that's
33:07one of the big
33:07problems we have
33:08in this present
33:09society here the
33:10foundations are being
33:11destroyed so the
33:12foundations of
33:14culture of society
33:16are being destroyed
33:17you know I used to
33:18work as a school
33:19teacher and you
33:20could you know
33:21pretty well function
33:22as a Christian
33:23within the education
33:24system at that
33:24time there were
33:26certain Christian
33:27principles and in
33:27fact I taught
33:28religious education
33:29at one school in
33:30Brixton in the
33:3270s and I taught
33:33basically Christianity
33:36but as things were
33:37changing then this
33:39other things come in
33:40and other religions
33:41and the LGBT thing
33:42and all this kind of
33:43stuff comes in and
33:45it's taking over all
33:45of our institutions
33:46one by one and it
33:47becomes much more
33:48difficult I certainly
33:50couldn't function as a
33:50teacher now in the
33:51kind of situation I
33:52did when I was
33:53teaching back in the
33:5470s and 80s
33:55certainly not in the
33:56beginning of my time
33:58and you can see that
33:59when every area you
34:00look at in this
34:01society that's being
34:02taken over by
34:03anti-Christian
34:03forces which are
34:04destroying the
34:05foundations which
34:06make it difficult
34:07to function as a
34:08Christian in so many
34:10areas of society
34:12so what can we do
34:16well we have to
34:17trust in the Lord
34:19we can make a stand
34:20for the Lord
34:21and we can preach
34:23the gospel
34:25we can be aware of
34:26the end time
34:27prophecies
34:29and we can tell
34:30the people what the
34:31answer is
34:32now most of the
34:33church today is
34:34ignoring all this
34:35that's another one of
34:36my gripes
34:38when you believe the
34:39Bible and you believe
34:39that Jesus is coming
34:40back again
34:42and you try and share
34:43this in the average
34:44church
34:45they don't want to
34:46know
34:47and one of the most
34:48common things I have
34:49from people writing
34:50into my life the last
34:51days is people say
34:52we never hear anything
34:53about this in our
34:54church
34:55they don't teach
34:56about it
34:57silence
34:59I think 25% of the
35:00Bible is actually
35:01made up of prophecy
35:04and it's a whole area
35:05which has been
35:06put aside
35:07they don't teach it
35:08why don't they teach
35:09it
35:11well I guess
35:12most of them don't
35:13believe it
35:15or it's controversial
35:16it will cause some
35:17kind of upset in the
35:18church
35:18there will be people
35:18who disagree with
35:19what you're saying
35:22well
35:23we've got to teach
35:24it
35:24because it's what
35:25the Bible says
35:27we've got to spread
35:28the gospel
35:29and we've got to
35:30take
35:31the signs
35:32these leaflets
35:33like it's happening
35:34now
35:34which tell you some
35:35of the signs of the
35:36second coming
35:37and it tells you
35:38that it's happening
35:39and it tells you
35:39what the answer is
35:40the answer is
35:41to turn to Jesus
35:45and we need to have
35:46living churches
35:47in localities
35:48where we can meet
35:48people's needs
35:49and also preach
35:50this message
35:51and reach out
35:52with the message
35:53of the gospel
35:54and we need
35:55people who can
35:56take this message
35:56out
35:56we can be
35:57to build
35:58the church
35:59build it here

36:01and all over
36:03and as
36:04you know
36:04these talks
36:05go out
36:05to different
36:06places
36:06we need people
36:07in different
36:07parts of the
36:08country

36:10build fellowships

37:42you believe
37:42in Jesus

37:43final outcome
37:44is going
37:44to be
37:44it's not
37:45going to
37:45be the
37:45world being
37:46blown up
37:46or driven
37:48to ruin
37:48it's going
37:49to be
37:49Jesus
37:49coming
37:49back
37:50and sorting
37:51out the
37:51mess
37:51and ruling
37:52the world
37:52for a thousand
37:53years in which
37:53there's going
37:53to be peace
37:54and justice
37:55and in
37:55preparation for
37:56the eternal
37:56state in which
37:57we'll be with
37:57him forever
37:58in the new
37:59heavens and
37:59new earth

38:03wonderful
38:04now of course
38:05that only applies
38:06to people who
38:06are in
38:07Jesus
38:09which is where
38:09the rubber
38:10hits the road
38:10because most
38:11people are not
38:11in Jesus
38:12so for them

38:14to be fearful

38:15coming on

38:17time of

39:23able to relate to us
39:24able to redeem us

41:16and the second coming

41:20at the first coming
41:21of Jesus

41:22it happened historically
41:25to believe in the second
41:26coming of Christ
41:26you've got to have
41:27some faith
41:27that it's going to happen

41:32at the prophecies

41:33at his first coming
41:34he fulfilled them all

49:25answer which

49:26you can find
49:27peace in
49:28him and I
49:30guess you
49:32have received
49:32peace because
49:33most of you
49:33believe in
49:34Jesus if you
49:35haven't now's
49:36the day of
49:36salvation but
49:38Jesus wants to
49:39give peace to
49:40all those who
49:40believe in him
49:41he wants us
49:42all to be
49:42peacemakers he
49:43wants us to
49:43love our
49:44neighbor even
49:45to love our
49:46enemies and
49:47to pray for
49:47peace and
49:48to work against
49:49all this satanic
49:50horrible war and
49:51troubles which are
49:52coming on the
49:53earth and against
49:54all these forces of
49:55destruction which are
49:56driving the world to
49:57destruction he
49:59doesn't want us to
49:59be bigoted and
50:01hateful but he
50:03does want us to be
50:03faithful to him and
50:04faithful to his
50:05word and that's
50:06another point which
50:08you know I'm trying
50:09to get across because
50:10this time we're
50:11living in now you're
50:13seeing a huge
50:13departure from the
50:14truth especially in
50:16the churches see it
50:18also in many of the
50:19synagogues departing
50:21from the word of
50:21God departing from
50:23the simple truth of
50:24believing what God
50:25says in his word we
50:27have to come back to
50:28just what it says in
50:29the Bible believing in
50:30Jesus as the mediator
50:31between God and
50:32man and when you see
50:34all this trouble
50:34coming which is
50:35happening today and
50:36we're not going to
50:36stop it believe in the
50:38Lord Jesus and he
50:39will save you and
50:41give you eternal
50:41life I did mention
50:46one point I'm not
50:47going to dwell on
50:47this because I've
50:48gone on too long
50:49probably but there
50:51is a question about
50:52the rapture event
50:54and the Bible says
50:55that the Lord
50:57himself will descend
50:58from heaven with a
50:59shout with the voice
50:59of an archangel with
51:01the trumpet of God
51:01the dead in Christ
51:02rise first then we
51:04who are alive and
51:04remain will be caught
51:05up to meet with them
51:06in the clouds to meet
51:07the Lord in the air
51:08thus we should always
51:09be with the Lord
51:11therefore comfort one
51:11another with these
51:12words wherever you
51:15think that's going to
51:15happen the Bible says
51:16it's going to happen
51:17there's going to be
51:18one generation at the
51:19end of this age which
51:20will not see death
51:20that were taken
51:21supernaturally to be
51:22with the Lord it's an
51:23event which happened
51:24in the Bible in the
51:25Old Testament happened
51:26to Enoch he walked
51:27with God and he was
51:27not for God took him
51:28happened to Elijah he
51:29was taken straight up
51:30into heaven happened
51:31to the last generation
51:34if you believe the
51:35pre-tribulation
51:35rapture could happen at
51:37any time now because
51:38we're on the way to
51:38the tribulation so we
51:40could be on the edge
51:41of this event happening
51:42so suddenly all the
51:43believers in Jesus
51:44will disappear go to
51:45be with the Lord
51:46believe the mid-tribulation
51:47you're going to have to
51:48go through three and a
51:48half years of trouble
51:50if you believe in the
51:52post-tribulation have to
51:53go through seven years
51:54of trouble whichever one
51:56it is it is actually two
51:57parts of the second
51:58coming even post-tribulation
52:00the believers are taken
52:02up and then come back
52:03with the Lord but the
52:06Bible says that's going
52:07to happen as well and
52:08if you believe that's
52:09going to happen imminently
52:10and it's another reason
52:12why you should be ready
52:12right now to meet with
52:14the Lord if you don't
52:16believe it then well it's
52:19not up to us anyway
52:21one thing I always say is
52:22also it's not worth
52:23fighting about it because
52:24we can't do anything
52:25about it it's entirely in
52:26the Lord's hands but he
52:28does say it's going to
52:28happen and it's a unusual
52:30event that is a unique
52:32event but the Bible says
52:34this is going to happen in
52:35the last generation so
52:37whatever you believe this
52:38we need to be ready for
52:39it we need to be ready to
52:40meet with the Lord and to
52:41meet with his coming be
52:43prepared for his coming so
52:45finally what's to be done
52:48well basically believe the
52:49gospel tell others build
52:53the church the world is like
52:55a sinking ship no one can
52:57reverse the program the
53:00direction it's going in but
53:02we can look to one who does
53:04have the power to reverse it
53:05who is Jesus the Messiah
53:07when he comes back he's not
53:08really come back as he came
53:09the first time with to
53:12suffer and to die he's
53:13coming back with all the
53:13power of God as King of
53:15Kings and Lord of Lords and
53:17able to deal with all of
53:18the mess which humans have
53:19made of this planet he's
53:21also coming back to Israel
53:23and that's one of the
53:24reasons why we do believe in
53:25the present restoration of
53:27the state of Israel it's not
53:29an accident it's a
53:30fulfillment of Bible
53:31prophecy and Jesus is going
53:33to come back it says his feet
53:34are going to stand on the
53:35Mount of Olives which is just
53:36outside Jerusalem and he's
53:38going to then set up his
53:38messianic kingdom ruling from
53:40Jerusalem that's why the
53:42powers of darkness want to
53:43destroy Israel why you've got
53:45so much anti-Israel stuff why
53:48the world is gathering
53:49together using whatever means
53:51and whatever thing they can to
53:53pour scorn upon Israel and
53:55upon the Jewish people and why
53:57Bible believing Christians should
53:58stand with Israel and stand with
54:00the Jewish people doesn't mean to
54:02say we have to agree with
54:03everything Israel does don't
54:05agree with everything that
54:06Britain does but I still don't
54:08want to see Britain destroyed
54:09and we have to stand with
54:11Israel and believe that God has
54:13his purposes in that and Jesus
54:15who is the Jewish Messiah is
54:16going to come back as the Jewish
54:18Messiah to Jerusalem and set up
54:21the messianic kingdom which the
54:24rabbis are pointing to but because
54:27they miss out Jesus it's missing
54:31the main point of the story
54:32because the Messiah has already
54:33come yeah I once talked to an
54:36Orthodox Jewish man he said that
54:38he was quite friendly actually and
54:39he said when the Messiah comes we
54:43can go and ask him we can go to
54:44him together you say we'll ask him
54:47have you been before or is this
54:49your first time you've been here if
54:51he said I've been before then you're
54:53right if he says it's my first time
54:54then I'm right it's a funny story but
54:58you need to be ready now because
55:00now is the day of salvation and if
55:02you're not ready to meet him then
55:03you won't meet him so believe in
55:04Jesus now because he is coming back
55:08and all this stuff which is
55:09happening Iran Israel bombs the
55:13missiles God hates the bombs and the
55:17missiles he hates war I hate war but
55:21he also hates those who want to
55:22destroy Israel as well and he wants
55:25to save Israel and however this
55:27present scenario works out and I hope
55:31it does work out soon rather than
55:33later God's going to preserve Israel
55:35until the second coming of Jesus but
55:39God also wants to correct something
55:40which Israel's got wrong which is the
55:42identity of the Messiah so believe in
55:44Yeshua the Messiah and you shall be
55:46saved amen let's just have a word of
55:48prayer Lord we thank you that we do
55:51have a hope in Jesus we thank you that
55:52you are the Messiah that you have come
55:54and that you're coming again in power
55:56and glory we pray for the present
55:58situation in the Middle East and we see
56:00all this terrible events taking place
56:03and the sufferings of the people in
56:05Iran and the Israel and Lebanon and all
56:09around Lord we long to see peace and
56:12safety for all of those people and yet we
56:14know that these things are prophesied
56:16they're ordained they're going to happen
56:18because of human sin and because of the
56:20activity of the devil we just pray for
56:22your mercy and your peace and your help
56:25to those who are caught up in these
56:26troubles we pray for ourselves Lord
56:28that you help us to believe the gospel
56:30to believe that Yeshua is the Messiah
56:32and to do what we can to prevent this
56:35message and to bring peace and hope to
56:37the world around us we pray this in
56:40Jesus name Amen
