00:00Now because of the activity of the devil and the fall of humanity, the world is now in a fallen
00:05state and not as God intended it to be.
00:08So the Lord Jesus who was there at creation and also saw the fall of mankind, the disobedience of humanity,
00:15uniquely was made man for a purpose.
00:19Purpose was in order to redeem us, to bring us back from our lost condition to become sons and daughters
00:24of the living God.
00:25Well, Genesis chapter 3, it says that the seed of the woman is going to crush the head of the
00:30serpent.
00:31In other words, someone is going to be born of a woman who will crush the head of the serpent
00:35who is the devil and who will be bruised in the process himself.
00:40What happened when Jesus came?
00:42He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was placed upon him, but his stripes were healed.
00:47We like sheep have gone astray, we've turned everyone to his own way, and the Lord has laid on him,
00:52on the Messiah, the iniquity of us all.
00:55It's a quote from Isaiah 53, written some 700 years before Jesus came, prophesying the death and resurrection of Jesus,
01:02the Messiah.
01:04So the Bible says that he's going to come to be born as the seed of a woman, to bear
01:09the sins of the world, in order that we can be redeemed.
01:13And he's therefore the source of true life and all enlightenment.
01:18Go on in John's Gospel, chapter 1, in verse 10, it says,
01:21He was in the world, the world was made through him, the world did not know him.
01:25He came to his own, and his own did not receive him.
01:28But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become children of God, to those who
01:32believe in his name,
01:33who were born not of the blood, nor of the will of man, nor of the will of the flesh,
01:37nor of the will of man, but of God.
01:40In other words, he, Jesus, the word of God, became flesh.
01:44We beheld his glory.
01:45Glory, the glory of the only begotten Son of Father, and through him, those who receive him into their lives
01:52can receive new life,
01:53be born again to eternal life, and become the sons and daughters of the living God.
01:59Have you had that experience?
02:02If not, stay behind after the meeting, and I'll pray with you that you might have it.
02:07But you must be born again.
02:09Jesus said that.
02:10Your flesh life is not good enough.
02:11You need to have a new life through faith in Jesus the Messiah.
02:15And only Jesus can give you this life.
02:17You can't work it out by being good.
02:19You can't work it out by trying to follow any religion.
02:21It can only come to you from outside, by the Holy Spirit, through faith in Jesus Christ.
02:27And to everyone who receives him, whatever background you come from,
02:30whether you're young or old, whether you're black or white, whether you're Jewish or non-Jewish, makes no difference.
02:35If you come to Jesus in repentance and faith, you can become a child of the living God.
02:40It's not difficult to understand.
02:41It's difficult to do because there's a world of flesh and the devil who are trying to make us stop
02:45doing it.
02:46But that's what the Bible says, and it's simply true.
02:51And it can only come through Jesus,
02:54who is the Son of God, who became flesh and dwelt amongst us,
02:56and appeared as the Son of Man.
02:58And it can only come through Jesus,
