00:00Previously on Project Runway...
00:02Designers, we have millions of dollars worth of gems in this room.
00:06For this challenge, you are creating an extravagant evening wear look.
00:11When I presented the challenge to the designers,
00:14I realized that there was a big void among them.
00:16I'm using my Tim Gunn save.
00:18Words cannot express how I feel.
00:21Save is gone.
00:23It makes everyone have to put on their A-game that much more.
00:26Oh, snap.
00:28I want to be on the top.
00:30I've never designed evening wear in my life.
00:33Step it up.
00:38I really love this look.
00:40Karina, congratulations.
00:42You are the winner of this challenge.
00:43Oh, my gosh.
00:45This is grab.
00:46It's a little boring.
00:48This is a design competition,
00:50and there's just not a lot of design here.
00:52I'm sorry you're out.
00:58I'm sorry.
00:59I'm sorry.
01:00I'm sorry.
01:01I'm sorry.
01:02I'm sorry.
01:03Well, I'm sorry.
01:04You're just like a fabulous bot.
01:05I'm sorry.
01:06But I'm sorry then.
01:07I'm sorry.
01:08Okay.
01:09I'm sorry.
01:10I'm sorry.
01:11You're right?
01:12You're right.
01:13Oh, I'm sorry.
01:14I'm not scared of your mouth.
01:15How does immunity feel?
01:17How does immunity feel?
01:18You mean the last immunity?
01:20Yeah, you're really feeling yourself right now.
01:21Yeah, you're really feeling yourself right now.
01:25This morning I feel really good.
01:27I mean, waking up the winner,
01:29I have the last immunity.
01:31I can't wait for the next challenge.
01:33I'm really excited.
01:35Oh, I can't believe I was on the damn bottom.
01:38We're in the very bottom.
01:40Every runway I want to be on top,
01:41and I don't want to be on the bottom,
01:43and I don't want to be safe.
01:44I want to push my boundaries,
01:46and I want to be something
01:47that the judges want to see every week.
01:51I see two TVs,
01:59and I have absolutely no idea
02:01what's going to happen with these TVs.
02:03Good morning, designers.
02:05Hi, designers.
02:07Hi, Heidi.
02:08I'm going to borrow a line from Heidi.
02:10Welcome back to the runway.
02:12As fashion designers,
02:14you know how essential innovation is to your industry.
02:18It's equally essential in the technology industry.
02:20Your new challenge is intended to test your ability
02:23to push the boundaries of design,
02:25just as Samsung has done here
02:27with their new curved ultra-high-definition TV.
02:30In addition to being at the forefront of technology,
02:33its unique shape allows for a perfect viewing experience
02:36from any angle.
02:37So every seat in the house is a great seat.
02:41Absolutely.
02:42And designers,
02:43with the spirit of the curve in mind,
02:45it is now your turn to take the reins
02:47and create forward-thinking designs.
02:49Your looks need to be cutting edge,
02:51innovative,
02:52and a wow from every angle.
02:54This is an avant-garde challenge.
02:56Oh my God.
02:58I am so excited.
03:01Avant-garde is really forward-thinking fashion.
03:03It doesn't necessarily have to be wearable.
03:06It's more of an art form.
03:08So this is a chance for everyone
03:10to just wow the judges and go crazy.
03:14And designers,
03:15there is a twist to this challenge.
03:17I love a twist!
03:20You're going to give the judges
03:22a new, exciting, and fresh runway experience.
03:26One that they have never experienced
03:28on Project Runway.
03:29Never.
03:30And what is it?
03:35Rain!
03:43What the ?
03:47Insane.
03:48Absolutely insane.
03:49Your models will not be walking
03:51on this nice, dry runway
03:53that you've become so familiar with.
03:55Instead,
03:56they're going to be walking
03:57a brand new
03:59Rainway.
04:00Rainway.
04:02What?
04:03A rainway is a runway with rain.
04:06Duh.
04:10You'll be using waterproof textiles
04:12in the construction of your looks.
04:14I don't know.
04:15It's really cool.
04:16It's the perfect avant-garde runway
04:20for an avant-garde challenge.
04:21It's so out there.
04:23Your budget for this challenge
04:24is $300.
04:25And you have two days.
04:32I knew you guys were going to like that.
04:34In the workroom,
04:35you'll be provided with additional
04:36heavy-duty construction items,
04:38which will give you the ability
04:39to add structure and contours
04:40to your avant-garde looks.
04:42Now I'm going to seal a line
04:43of yours, Sam.
04:44Oh.
04:45Head up to the workroom.
04:46You have 30 minutes to sketch,
04:48and then you're off to moot.
04:49And I'll see you in 30 minutes.
04:50And I see you on the Rainway.
04:52It's going to be a lot of fun.
04:54Bye, guys.
04:55Bye.
04:56Whenever I think of rain,
05:06I think of just dark colours to me.
05:08I'm planning on making an upside-down umbrella skirt
05:11and a matching hat.
05:12It's a huge hat,
05:13because I know she's going to be in rain,
05:15so she can be walking in the rain,
05:17and she doesn't get wet.
05:19I had this idea that instead
05:21of deflect the rain,
05:22like I wanted to try and incorporate
05:24the rain into the garment,
05:26I'm making a white dress
05:28which has powdered dye inside it,
05:30which shall change colour
05:32when it walks on the runway.
05:33I think there's an element of risk
05:35in this garment.
05:36It could not work,
05:37but I think I'm going to try
05:39and make sure it does work.
05:40I don't have a clear idea
05:44about it,
05:45but I'm confident
05:47that I will come up
05:48with something interesting.
05:49Having two days
05:50gives me freedom to experiment.
05:53I experiment my LS off.
06:00I'm a TV girl.
06:01I've watched so much television,
06:02so this is my challenge.
06:04I remember as a child
06:05when there was nothing on TV,
06:07the screen would have
06:08these solid neon stripes.
06:10That screen has inspired me.
06:13That's what I'm going to do.
06:18Sketching time is up, everyone.
06:19We're heading off to mood.
06:21Bring whatever you need
06:22with you, okay?
06:29We're all back here today.
06:30Go ahead.
06:31You go.
06:32It's little tints,
06:33and people are throwing
06:34a few more elbows
06:35because we're all going for
06:37the exact same fabrics.
06:38Is this the whole waterproof?
06:40Good night.
06:41This is a mess, people.
06:45Two yards of this big one.
06:47I need a black.
06:49A yard of this.
06:50A yard of this.
06:51A yard of this.
06:52A yard of the yellow and all.
06:53And the blue one yard.
06:55Sandia is using a lot of color.
06:57I see yellow.
06:58A lot of yellow.
06:59Okay, wait to see how this turns out.
07:03Okay, let me just count how many I have.
07:06A lot.
07:07Designers, you have five minutes.
07:13Thanks.
07:14Designers, that's it.
07:15Time is up.
07:16Ooh.
07:18Not bad.
07:19Come on, Alexander.
07:22All right, designers,
07:23let's head back to the workroom.
07:25Thank you, Mood.
07:26Thank you, Mood.
07:27Thank you, Mood.
07:28Let's not run over swatch.
07:36Hello, everyone.
07:37Hey, Tim.
07:38Just want to give you the lay of the land.
07:39You have until 10.30 tonight.
07:41I will be back later to check in with you.
07:43Your model fitting will not be until tomorrow.
07:45I can't wait to see what you develop
07:47for this challenge.
07:48Rain.
07:49I'll see you later.
07:50Thank you so much.
07:51Thank you so much.
07:58Sorry.
07:59I got 15 more to go.
08:00I've been on the top for three times now.
08:03I need a win.
08:05I'm pulling out all the stops
08:06and I'm showing the judges what I really can do.
08:09I want the judges to see this
08:10and be like, okay, yes.
08:12It's his time to win this one.
08:14You gonna be done today?
08:15I'm not gonna be done today.
08:16Oh.
08:21The avant-garde challenge is so open-ended.
08:23You kind of just get to do whatever you want.
08:25So you can get lost.
08:27You have to have a really strong concept
08:29to be able to make it through something like this.
08:39For some reason, I feel uninspired at this point.
08:42I try to figure out some kind of a construction
08:50that is unexpected.
08:52And I get frustrated if it doesn't turn out
08:56the way I think it should be.
08:58And then it just spoils.
09:01It's not coming off.
09:03Hmm?
09:04Nothing.
09:08I feel stuck.
09:09I feel empty right now.
09:16Coming up on Project Runway.
09:17This is nothing if not the season of the vagina.
09:19It's a huge risk.
09:20This is not easy to execute.
09:22Everybody in the room is like, oh, great.
09:25This has to work.
09:27This challenge is the avant-garde challenge.
09:39We're gonna be showing our designs on a rainway.
09:42So there's gonna be real rain.
09:44And our looks are inspired by the Samsung Curve UHD TV.
09:48I'm feeling really happy because I'm actually sewing stripes
09:54to create my own textile and patterning my jumpsuit.
09:57It's like an organized mess.
10:03Hi, Sam.
10:04What are you doing?
10:05The main focus of the look is this skirt.
10:07I love this twist of cut these out.
10:14You think it's a riff on a pencil skirt.
10:16Oh, my God, it's an umbrella.
10:17Yeah.
10:18Wow.
10:19It makes me smile.
10:20It's a bit like Schiaparelli.
10:22Hello, Sean.
10:23What are you doing?
10:24Um, today we're all in white.
10:26You are.
10:27But I have a grand plan.
10:30My garment, I wanted it to have a gradient of powdered dye inside it.
10:37Oh.
10:38And there's gonna be one in the seam and then one at the bottom of this.
10:42And then there's gonna be another one at the bottom.
10:44So when she gets wet, the dye's gonna start running out of it on the white.
10:48So it's gonna transform on the runway.
10:54I mean, it's spectacular.
10:55It's spectacular.
10:56Coming out.
10:57As an idea.
10:58It's spectacular.
10:59And unforgettable.
11:00I have chills hearing about it.
11:02Uh-huh.
11:03How do you know it's gonna work?
11:04Um, faith.
11:06I'm putting in this really thin, um, mesh.
11:10So it's gonna be in this in little, like, seams.
11:13Oh, my God, I love it.
11:15Sean, it's breathtaking.
11:16You are gonna be a hugely nervous wreck.
11:20I know.
11:21Because she's got a one-time shot at doing this.
11:24Yeah.
11:25Only one time.
11:28Emily.
11:29Hey, Tim.
11:30Hi.
11:31What are those?
11:32Um, it's vinyl and they're, like, shoulder pads that I covered.
11:36Wait, where's the vinyl?
11:37Oh, look at this.
11:38What an interesting texture.
11:40Yeah.
11:41But I wanted to do, like, a sort of, like, armored-looking, um, like, bustier.
11:47I love having you push the armor.
11:50The only thing you have to be careful of is R2-D2.
11:54Is it too fetishy?
11:55I don't think it's fetishy.
11:56I don't think it's fetishy.
11:57Okay.
11:58Oh.
11:59Made.
12:00Hello.
12:01How are you?
12:02Good.
12:03Good.
12:04I'm playing off the power button.
12:05Oh.
12:06The starchy entertainment kind of a thing.
12:08All right.
12:09And then I was thinking maybe some kind of a circuit board using lines going around the dress.
12:16Do you think it's too blank?
12:19Well, I think it is now.
12:21It's a very simple silhouette.
12:23Mm-hmm.
12:24So the success of it is going to depend upon what you do with this embellishment.
12:28Yes.
12:29It can't be too quiet.
12:30Mm-hmm.
12:31But I've thought, like, do you think this is already too loud?
12:36Like, do you think...
12:37Too loud?
12:38No.
12:39I'm saying turn up the volume.
12:40Because, like, coming out with that kind of a button.
12:42No, not a bit.
12:43And I think it needs something large and graphic.
12:45Or then it's just a little dress.
12:47Mm-hmm.
12:50Hi, Sandia.
12:51Hi, Tim.
12:52How are you?
12:53I'm good.
12:54How are you?
12:55As a kid, when television was relatively new, it was a big box.
12:57And how, when there was nothing coming on TV, it would become these solid colored stripes.
13:02Well, that was when I was a kid, not when you were a kid.
13:04So this is...
13:05I did, like, a basic jumpsuit, but I created my own textiles by cutting different colored stripes.
13:11And then I've been trying to work with different, uh, textures.
13:15You know?
13:16Like, sew the whole thing and have these textures.
13:18And play with the transparency of this and have these different textures on here.
13:23Then when the water's going to fall, it's going to have, like, the splatters and it's going to drip in a different way.
13:30I'm just, I'm dubious about how this is actually going to work.
13:36You need some counterpoint to this very, very colorful jumpsuit.
13:43Hi, Karina.
13:44Hi, Tim.
13:45I'm eager to hear what you're doing.
13:46I started thinking about Northwest Coast design.
13:49So I'm basically creating a look as if she's a thunderbird walking through the rain.
13:54So she's this mythological character whose wings are so big that it creates thunder.
14:00Oh.
14:01Are you really going to embellish it with eyes and do articulations of the bones within the wings and...
14:09I'm not sure yet, because I didn't want it to be too literal.
14:13Right.
14:14That's my concern.
14:15But I want it to be really graphic, yeah.
14:16Yeah.
14:17It's an engineering challenge at this point.
14:19Having immunity is time to experiment, and this is a good challenge to experiment on.
14:26All right, designers, your first two-day challenge.
14:30It's very exciting.
14:31It is exciting.
14:32And it needs to look like it.
14:33Okay?
14:34Thank you, everyone.
14:35Okay, thank you, Tim.
14:36Have a good night.
14:37Okay.
14:38All right, guys, it's time to go home.
14:48We have two days.
14:49Two-day challenge.
14:50Are we going to celebrate the two days?
14:51Yes.
14:52Let's go get friends.
14:53You want to go to the roof?
14:54Yeah.
14:55Two-day challenge.
14:56Two-day challenge.
14:57Two-day challenge.
14:58Wine, wine, wine.
14:59Like, we're usually in such a work mode to be able to kind of let our hair down and just
15:16see a different side of each other.
15:19It gives you a chance to recharge a little bit to kind of, you know, let loose and, you
15:23know, appreciate being here.
15:25We made a song.
15:26Two-day challenge.
15:27Two-day challenge.
15:28Yay!
15:29Two-day challenge.
15:30Yay!
15:31Yay!
15:32I hardly remember.
15:36Oh, yeah.
15:37Oh, yeah.
15:38Oh, yeah.
15:39Oh, yeah, oh, yeah, oh, yeah.
15:40Oh, yeah, that's what I mean.
15:42Oh, crap.
15:44on the second day I'm starting to realize it looks like an Olympic bobsledder I hate
15:54everything about it it looks really stupid at this point I feel very lucky to have immunity
16:02how is everyone all right today you have until 7 o'clock use the Aldo styling wall very very
16:19thoughtfully now tomorrow you'll be going to the Philip B hair studio and the Mary Kay color design
16:26studio and then you'll be dressing your models and you'll have last looks there all right everyone
16:32work hard and I will see you in the morning okay thank you thank you I don't have a very clear path
16:48right now at times I think the look is actually really good and minutes later I think oh it's not
16:57I'm worried about faith because this competition can definitely get in your head and I think the
17:04pressure is getting to them coming up on project runway it's interesting there's something creepy
17:11about it it just is what it is at this point Sean have a small window for an era this could ruin
17:18everything
17:18hello hi hi hi how are you doing did they tell you about the runway it's going to be so weird
17:37they're making it rain oh wow are we going to get wet here we go when you put your hands here just keep
17:46from out this is amazing oh it looks really good I'm not going to have a brain on this thing
17:58I don't hate it now it's interesting it's very cool I was going to put knee pads but now I don't
18:03know because there's so much going on here I feel like it's nicer if it's like real sleek right don't
18:07you I really do like it now that I see my look on the model I think it is just fabulous
18:19die in here I'm happy with the completion of the dress all I have to do is add the dye in
18:26this becomes a little bit of a problem because the fine dye is falling through and going onto the
18:35white dress even though it's not wet it still colors the dress I try to sweep as much off I'm a
18:40little worried it could ruin everything oh this one might be dope oh Amanda you're just going to be
18:54crying oh a thousand tears of sadness
19:02this is really neat I like this part it's like you don't want to open it all the way
19:06you know what I mean yeah and this can be just like easy grabbing stuff I think this is the
19:12cleavest thing I would like to have it oh yeah and the water tastes so much better
19:18what is it oh gosh hey guys it's time to pack get our boxes
19:28as I'm packing up for the runway tomorrow I think maybe I have a shot
19:32I'm super excited to see this rainway I'm just wondering like how it's gonna look we're going
19:39to a different location so it's exciting okay time to go home people let's go
19:52where are we going yeah we're going to Brooklyn baby so it's rainway day we're gonna go walk the
19:58runway in the rain I can't wait to see this water falling falling falling falling the runway I mean
20:05come on it's rain on a runway I want to see this thing
20:15we're gonna do just a really thick black around and then we're gonna do like abstract dots it's gonna
20:21look really cool I love you beautiful awesome line that way yeah lips like super glossy this is
20:31called first blush gorgeous so the dress is all like primary colors and we can go like super costuming
20:38you know it's gonna be awesome because she has a giant eyes
20:43today we're going to do two corner like braids for that the great thing to use is the anti-twist
20:48you can have like a shiny effect shot thank you
20:53so I was thinking about doing maybe like side braid back this way and then like a big braid across and
20:58like tight to her head out of the face and tie it on the head thanks they just want her hair to be
21:03slicked back with like a low bun so I think we can use the balloon yeah to get a little bit more yeah
21:08okay my design is really avant-garde because well the definition of avant-garde is just something that
21:21is new that's different that hasn't been seen before and I really haven't seen anything like this
21:25before so I'm hoping that judges think the same I have done something so exciting I just can't wait
21:33to see it walk down the rainway I want everyone to be as excited and as happy as I felt making it
21:43I feel really excited about the whole thing it comes together beautifully the hair the makeup to
21:50dress everything works very well I hope that my dress works perfectly in the rain and that the effect
21:59is a wow moment if any water gets on this dress before the judges see it it could ruin the surprise
22:06I'm very nervous all right you guys that is fun I love you Alistar coming up on project runway it was
22:14an amazing runway show today it was really so well done he brought it today big time this took my breath away
22:22me too
22:44hello designers and welcome to the rainway
22:47isn't it amazing it's amazing super exciting yeah as you know in fashion one day you're in and the
22:58next day you're out there are nine of you here and after tonight there will be eight we asked you to

24:30that the colors are flowing together i feel that i didn't overdo it i feel that it's still true to
24:35my design aesthetic but it's outside the box for me
24:45i hope the judges like it as much as i do
24:47it's a little brighter than i thought it would be the pinwheels are not moving but it's holding up
25:01really well and looking really good
25:08it still has a good visual impact it looks amazing
25:17you can really see a lot of like curves and cool shapes the work i did is really clean it's really
25:25well made and it fits her really well she's like from the babe army she looks amazing she's totally
25:34working it so i'm feeling really good about it
25:46the way that the water and the lights are hitting that vinyl and the colors it looks like it's walking
25:52glass
25:56i love the way that it's catching all the way
25:58it's amazing and i could not be happier with how things turned out
26:17my look holds up well under the water i am proud of it if i just had like one little thing
26:24that would connect it to rain that's what i wish i would have done
26:46the lights definitely bring out all the brightness and the vinyl and the silver and the gold are popping
26:54it shines so nicely in the light
27:02i'm happy with how it came together and i'm really glad that i decided to change it last minute
27:16design wise i feel good i'm not totally sure if it's avant-garde but i know it's very me
27:24MICHOTUS
27:30we have an eye down there's one eye down i hope it's cool enough to make up for
27:37the fact that eyeballs are peeling off of the dress
27:39amosas
27:40I feel like my design really stepped out of the box.
27:50I feel like I took it to the next level.
27:53It brings the drama.
28:01Out of everyone else, I'm thinking that it just stands out amongst everyone's designs.
28:10She immediately begins to change color.
28:20When she spins, it's getting darker and it's going all over her.
28:25I couldn't imagine it better than this.
28:40It's working even better than I expected.
28:46I am thrilled it looks out of this world.
28:58If I call your name, please step forward.
29:01Amanda, please step forward.
29:03Sharquita, Alexander.
29:05If I've called your name, congratulations.
29:09Your scores have qualified you to move on to the next round.
29:12You can leave the runway.
29:15Good luck, guys.
29:16Good luck.
29:22The six of you have the highest and the lowest scores.
29:27One of you will be named the winner.
29:30And one of you will be out.
29:35Kini, we're going to talk to you first, so let's bring out your model.
29:46Kini, tell us about your look.
29:48When I got inspired by the rain, the first thing that comes to my mind, of course, is an umbrella.
29:53That's what you need.
29:54I wanted to play with that and make that be the focal point.
29:57What a clever idea.
30:00I like the sort of dominatrix-esque vinyl top.
30:03I thought this was sublime.
30:06It was very dramatic.
30:07With the rain coming down, I loved it.
30:12Kini, I think you did a wonderful, wonderful job.
30:15You have such a skillful hand.
30:17You have great technique.
30:18It was so impactful when it came out.
30:20And I thought the pop of the red lip was really effective.
30:24You brought it today, big time.
30:26Thank you, Kini.
30:27Karina, tell us about your look.
30:29Well, when I found out that the challenge was in the rain, my first reaction was to design
30:34a look based on the Thunderbird, which is a mythological character whose wings are so
30:38big that it creates thunder.
30:40So I wanted to do something that kind of mimicked the look of lightning and, like, she was a storm
30:45walking through the rain.
30:47I have to say, I was not very impressed with this look.
30:50You know, this black dress that she's wearing is just, like, a random dress.
30:54And then whatever you put on top of it looks super flimsy.
30:57If it had been made out of metal and, like, really tough and rivets, it would have been
31:01so cool.
31:02But with this material, it does feel like something I would make for, like, a Halloween costume.
31:08You know, when I think of this mythological creature, I would have liked to have seen something
31:12grander.
31:13You're lucky you have immunity.
31:15Very.
31:15Thank you, Karina.
31:19Sandhya, tell us about your look.
31:21So I did the base with the solid stripes that reminded me of the TV in the past.
31:27And then the fact that it was a rain challenge.
31:29I did these engineered pinwheels that were supposed to actually go around when the rain fell.
31:34Your look made me feel very happy.
31:35I love that it has this fun aspect, even though it's raining.
31:40I'm intrigued by the jumpsuit, but it does feel like it needs to come up a notch to be
31:44really interesting to wear in life.
31:47I like this.
31:48However, it is at the tipping point of looking a little bit circusy slash childlike.
31:57It made me want to do a rain dance.
31:59I wanted to wear that and splash in the rain.
32:03I just wish the actual physical garment underneath was a little more sophisticated.
32:08Thank you, Sandhya.
32:10Faye, tell us about your look.
32:11I got inspired by the TV itself, and everything starts with the push of a button, and then information
32:18starts to flow into what I consider like the curve of the screen.
32:23Putting a play button on your dress doesn't necessarily make it look modern or techy.
32:31It just makes it look gimmicky.
32:34To me, it wasn't strong enough.
32:37You know, to me, it kind of looked like a subway map.
32:40I like the graphic nature of it and the way the colors are working together, but a lot
32:45of the other outfits had a nice relationship with the rain and felt really playful, and I
32:50missed that a little bit.
32:51If you're going to put something that says play, well, then something has to happen.
32:56Okay.
32:57Thank you, Faye.
32:59Sean, tell us about your look.
33:01I really wanted to embrace the rain into the garment instead of trying deflecting it,
33:05so I came up with this idea.
33:07I didn't know if it was going to work or not, was to sew dye into some of the seams, and
33:12then as she gets into the rain, she's transforming, and it's like a ray of sunshine.
33:16It was a happy feeling of being in the rain.
33:18I just love how this dress became alive in the rain.
33:22Fantastic job.
33:23I thought this was so exciting, and it was like a fairy tale for her to transform, and
33:29I could imagine wearing it walking through the streets of New York in a summer rainstorm,
33:34and it's just so beautiful.
33:36I love the way you think.
33:39It was really so well done.
33:42At first, I thought, oh, what is this white dress walking down the runway, and then when
33:47it came out in the rain and started to change color, I thought, this could be gimmicky, but
33:52when it's effective like this, I just thought it was exceptional.
33:56Thank you, Sean.
33:58Emily, please tell us about EOLA.
33:59When I found out about the rainway, I immediately started, of course, thinking about different
34:03ways that I could do a spin on protective rain gear.
34:05Thinking about protective gear made me start thinking about armor.
34:09This was really not successful for me.
34:12Oh, no?
34:12No.
34:13No.
34:13It felt like a cliche of a fashion show, and the sculpting and shaping doesn't feel impactful
34:21enough.
34:22And it didn't feel totally cohesive to me.
34:25Like, there's a lot of elements, but they don't all seem to be part of the same look.
34:30This really felt like something that we would have thought looked modern 10 or 15 years ago.
34:37I didn't hate it as much as the other judges.
34:40I thought you looked like a very strong and powerful girl, but yes, you guys, I agree
34:45with you.
34:45We have seen versions of this before.
34:49Okay, we've heard what you had to say.
34:51Now we're taking a closer look at your designs, and then I call you back onto the runway.
35:02The winner of Project Runway will receive $100,000 from Red Robin to launch their business,
35:07and the opportunity to design a fashion accessory for all Red Robin servers.
35:12A shoe and accessory collection from Aldo to help enhance their upcoming runway shows.
35:17A premier home entertainment system courtesy of Samsung.
35:21From Mary Kay, an entire year's worth of beauty products for their fashion shows, and professional
35:25makeup artist services for their debut show.
35:27A complete sewing and crafting studio from Brothers Sewing and Embroidery.
35:33Travel and hotel accommodations to fashion capitals and inspiring locations around the
35:37world from Best Western International.
35:39A 2015 Lexus NXF Sport.
35:42And the winning designer and the winning model will receive a fashion spread in Mary Claire
35:45magazine.
35:46It is a price package worth over $300,000.
35:49That was a fun challenge.
35:52It was a spectacular challenge, and I'm just elated about how well they did.
35:57Tron's I loved.
35:58This took my breath away.
36:01It was just so beautiful to watch.
36:04To me, what I love is that it's such a feminine dress, but then has this really strong idea and
36:09transforms into this amazing statement.
36:11And I just want to add that this was a huge risk, because while yes, he attested it.
36:17He did not know if it was going to work.
36:18He either was going to be in the highest grouping or the lowest if it hadn't worked.
36:25Jasmine R., do you want to come out?
36:26I do agree with Nina and Zach.
36:28We have seen this before.
36:30It's a cliche.
36:31I really am not a fan of these gloves.
36:34The whole thing is just dated.
36:37This did make me very happy.
36:39And you don't think of something that fun in the sun when you think of rain.
36:43It needs a sophisticated hand to be able to elevate this coat into something that is not a joke.
36:51I agree.
36:52Are you taking over my rolls art?
36:54Sorry, I was helping.
36:54Jasmine A.
36:55Sorry.
36:56This is very snoozy.
36:57I don't like the silhouette.
36:59Yeah, this was very lackluster for me.
37:01Looks like a pajama to me.
37:04Now this.
37:05Do a spin.
37:06This is a dress to spin.
37:07Look at that.
37:08This umbrella is so much fun.
37:10And in the slightly toned down version, that's a skirt you could wear on a red carpet.
37:15I don't know.
37:15You guys didn't like that head.
37:16No, it feels like black, dark, smurf gone bad.
37:21It really is between Emily and Fade.
37:24Well, you didn't feel so opposed to Emily.
37:28This was not fashion.
37:29A thing that I did like about Fade's look was the colors and the way that they were working together, but not quite enough to make it a compelling design.
37:38All right, let's talk about who should win today.
37:40It is between Sean and Keeney.
37:42Agreed.
37:43Definitely.
37:43What I loved about Sean is to take something that could have been banal as a white cotton dress to surprise us with transformation is really sophisticated.
37:55I think Sean has done an exceptional work.
37:59And I have not seen a gigantic umbrella dress such as the one that Keeney did.
38:05It was such a complete look to me.
38:07Personally, I think Keeney should win today.
38:10Well, Nina and I really feel strongly that Sean is the clear, clear winner here.
38:15Hmm, we have to get our boxing gloves.
38:28The six of you have the highest and the lowest scores.
38:32One of you will be named the winner.
38:34And one of you will be out.
38:45Sandhya, you're in.
38:57You can leave the runway.
39:01Sean, you are the winner of this challenge.
39:06Thank you so much.
39:07Yeah.
39:08Yay.
39:10But there's more.
39:11Oh.
39:12Keeney, congratulations.
39:15You're also the winner of this challenge.
39:17We just could not make up our mind.
39:19You're both in.
39:20Congratulations again.
39:21You can leave the runway.
39:25We're both winners.
39:28We're both winners.
39:29Double winners.
39:32Oh my God.
39:33Oh my God.
39:34We're going to kill you, badass.
39:38Faith, Emily, Karina, your looks were our least favorite.
39:46Karina.
39:47Luckily for you, I have immunity.
39:50You're in.
39:51You can leave the runway.
39:55Emily, Fade, one of you will be out.
40:00Fade.
40:05I'm sorry, you're out.
40:09Emily, that means you're in.
40:11You can leave the runway.
40:18Fade, I'm sorry to see you go.
40:22Auf Wiedersehen.
40:24Auf Wiedersehen.
40:25Vielleicht gibt es da sogar ein Wiedersehen.
40:27Ja, vielleicht gibt es ein Wiedersehen mit uns.
40:29Mach's gut.
40:29Danke.
40:30Tschüss.
40:30Auf Wiedersehen.
40:31Everyone, that was a spectacular show.
40:48And I'm going to go one step further than that.
40:50It was the best runway presentation in the history of the show.
40:54Wow.
40:54And Fade, we're going to miss you.
40:57Bye.
40:58It's nice to send you through.
41:00We're going to miss you.
41:02We won't miss you.
41:05Bye.
41:05Bye.
41:07I walk away from here knowing I can take on the world.
41:14This will all help me on my path to superstardom.
41:21Next time on Project Runway.
41:29There are all these dolls staring at us.
41:31We don't know why.
41:33I had an American Girl doll.
41:35I had Samantha.
41:37She's going to watch me work.
41:39I'll just be blunt.
41:40I have serious difficulty understanding a lot of your color relationships and proportions.
41:46Tim is saying what everybody else is feeling.
41:49A lot of people aren't getting what she's doing.
41:51It will be beautiful.
41:53Carry on with us.
41:54This is crazy.
41:56Maybe a little compassion would help.
41:58Just a little compassion.
