00:00When it comes to the Walkers, those that combine together, consume together.
00:04Here's your look at the new Hiya Toys. It's the Walking Dead Dead City Exquisite Mini Walker King.
00:22Hiya Toys introduces the new Exquisite Mini Series Walker King, a 118th scale action figure from the Walking Dead Dead City.
00:29In the June 2023 sequel series, The Walking Dead Dead City, Maggie and Negan confront a formidable foe, the Walker King.
00:36A grotesque amalgamation of multiple Walkers, slime, decayed fat, and other putrid substances.
00:42This brand new Walker King action figure stands 4.2 inches tall, faithfully depicting its bloody and terrifying appearance.
00:50I guess it's the result of having sewer gases, pressure, and human corpses fester.
00:53Before we get a closer look at the new Walker King, I'd like to first thank the folks over at Hiya Toys that did provide this sample.
00:59Hey now, this thing's slated to drop. I say this thing, it's made of many things.
01:03It's slated to drop this month, in fact, July 2025, for the asking price online of $25.
01:09Not bad at all.
01:10The tape measure is going to tell us, though, that despite of its many parts, it's still going to still stand at around 4.5 inches in height.
01:18That's going to work out to be a figure that's about 11.5 centimeters tall.
01:23Though it's made of many bodies.
01:24Comparing it now with one body.
01:26This is the Walking Dead Dead City Exquisite Mini Series Negan.
01:29Already, the problem with Walkers is that they find friends.
01:32The problem, then, with the Walker King is that he's found his friends and he's fused them together.
01:36This is the result of having many of the corpses and the Walkers deep inside the sewer dwellings,
01:41with the pressure and the heat all resulting in them basically being merged together.
01:45Quite a horrific sight.
01:47And now that you have extra hands on your body, there's more hands and opportunities for them to grab a character like Negan.
01:53Speaking of grabbing, let's grab now the display stand that comes in clear with the Walker King.
01:57Out the gate, though, I love the fact that Hiya Toys chose to give us a different type of display stand.
02:01Just to bring in the original Negan display stand, we had ourselves a skull.
02:05We had ourselves what looks to be like the remains of a body, and we had ourselves a hand.
02:10This now gives us also an extra hand, although the hand now is reaching out at the ground.
02:14I had a question when we looked at First Negan.
02:16I wonder how different the display stands were going to be with all the subsequent releases,
02:20and now the Walker King has sort of answered our question.
02:23There seems to be, at least so far, two unique display stands.
02:27These display stands, while I'm tapping them together and talking away, I'll stop that.
02:31You can't actually put them together like the Walker King.
02:33You can fuse them by taking the eye brackets that come in clear with any one of these releases.
02:37You don't necessarily need, though, two.
02:39You have two slots, slots, slots, and slots.
02:43Basically, you take yourself your display stands, and you merge them together.
02:48How cool is that?
02:49The more display stands you have, the more bigger opportunities you have for a really dire-looking diorama.
02:56Very, very cool.
02:56I love the look of these display stands.
02:58The one thing, though, about this one being the one that comes in clear with the Walker King,
03:02if I just remove the eye bracket, we'll just put Negan's off to the side right now.
03:06There is a lot of space that needs to be occupied by the Walker King.
03:10The hand is, though, as you can see, looks like it's reaching out to him.
03:14The placement of the peg, I suppose, isn't all that bad.
03:18But one thing that you will end up finding yourself facing is that this foot always ends
03:22up rubbing against or bumping against this hand.
03:25I was kind of looking at this, and I was looking at Negan's.
03:27Would Negan's have been any bit better?
03:29No, actually, Negan's, I think, is even worse because you've got a big skull in the way.
03:32Maybe they could have maybe given him a different type of display stand.
03:35It's not that it necessarily is in the way, but I just feel like, though, maybe the arm could
03:40have, in fact, been moved a little bit more off to the side, factoring, of course,
03:43the fact that you have to have your peg there, and you have to have the figure's feet.
03:46If you turn this also around, you can, I suppose, also have it displayed that way as well, but
03:50it just looks like he's grabbing it from behind.
03:53Speaking of grabbing things from behind, what a segue that is.
03:56I'm sure there are things that could be grabbing from behind in the fact that the Walker King
04:00does actually have a second corpse body attached onto its shoulders.
04:04Just a horrific thing to see.
04:06Now, I honestly have not seen much of Walking Dead, Dead City.
04:09I did, though, see the clip of the Walker King, and this thing looked gruesome.
04:13The thing, from what I remember, at least, of the clips, I don't recall, though, the corpse,
04:18the one that's on the back here, actually having a second pair of legs.
04:21Now, these legs may not belong, in fact, to this corpse at all.
04:25This corpse, actually, if we see in the clip, looks like it's just kind of hanging off of
04:29its side.
04:30These legs, in fact, could also have been the walkers that are inside the body.
04:33Wait, there's walkers inside the body?
04:35While Maggie is battling the Walker King.
04:38We actually do actually see a couple of heads sticking their way out from the torso.
04:42Sadly, though, we don't get that with this figure.
04:45That could possibly be something that they could entertain with, maybe a version 2 Walker
04:48King, where maybe it would have one of these arms out of the way and just have, like, larger
04:52heads instead.
04:54All these arms, by the way, are poseable, which was really something that was impressing me,
04:59because I kind of really just expected to get this out of the packaging and think that
05:02things like these arms wouldn't move.
05:04They'd only be there for suggestion alone.
05:06But actually, though, I was surprised and happy to see that all of these arms, in fact,
05:10do have independent poseability.
05:13I'm going to talk more about that in a moment.
05:14First, though, let's look at the gruesome face of the main Walker King.
05:18And, of course, off to the side, though, we've got the smaller King, the smaller corpse.
05:22I don't really think it has necessarily names.
05:24It's just the name that's been given.
05:26Cool-looking head sculpt, though.
05:28Cool, corpsey, and just gross.
05:30Love the coloring that they've done to the face.
05:32Lots of wash of red and just gut colors.
05:35I mean, what would be a guts color, like browns, putrid pinks, like just slimy-looking, like greenish grays?
05:42That's all there.
05:43You'll find them all here on the Corpse King.
05:46Of course, though, on the back of the body, you can kind of see, though, how this corpse is attached on the back of its torso.
05:51Now, this does not have any posability, nor really should it.
05:54I mean, that's already asking a lot for how much this thing can do on its own.
05:58But it does actually have head posability.
06:00You can also even, in fact, move the arms.
06:03Again, I was really surprised to see that.
06:05All in all, though, it's just a gruesome-looking figure.
06:07My only one real issue that I have with the Walker King is the concerns I have with its loose knees.
06:14This one knee isn't so bad.
06:15I did notice, though, getting this out of the packaging, this one knee is loose.
06:19This with all the extra weight that it has to bear on its shoulders and body.
06:23I would worry, though, with the knees.
06:24They have to be structurally strong.
06:27They have to be able to hold the figure.
06:28I wonder if, though, and it might just only be mine, really, too.
06:31I worry, though, that the knees may be starting to get too loose to hold all the weight that's above it.
06:36Speaking, though, of the weight that's above it, let's run through the figure's articulation,
06:40and there's a fair bit to cover as we get closer and closer and more gruesome.
06:44First, though, for the Corpse King's main head, the head's going to be on a ball joint,
06:48so already, right away, you can move the head back and forth, up and down.
06:52There is no mouth articulation.
06:53That would have been cool, but with the size of already what this is,
06:57I think it would be pretty impossible to put mouth articulation.
07:00This head also does move back and forth, up and down.
07:03This also looks like maybe someone that would have had to come across Art the Clown,
07:08maybe in one of the Terrifier films.
07:10Just gruesome looking.
07:12But this also does head poseability.
07:14It moves back and forth.
07:15It does move also the same, up and down.
07:17These shoulders do swivel back and forth.
07:20Thinking, though, first that they were only just going to be swivels,
07:23was, again, happy to find.
07:24I find a lot of happy things finding with this figure.
07:27There's actually hinge joints, so, yeah, you can actually move the arms back and forth.
07:30The elbows do have a bend.
07:32And you can also rotate the forearms as well, and you can rotate the hands.
07:36So that's just this corpse, the little piggybacking hitchhiker on the back of its body.
07:41Then you get all these extra things going on here.
07:44So the main arms, I suppose, for the Walker King, they're on hinges.
07:48I did notice, though, they're very tight, so just tread cautiously, whatever you do.
07:52They do hinge out.
07:53I may even, in fact, recommend heating these, though, in either hot water or a few passes,
07:58just with the hairdryer, just to soften those up.
08:01They do seem like they have hinges, so you can bring the arms out.
08:04They're just really tight.
08:05The arms do rotate all the way around.
08:07There's a single hinge only for the elbow.
08:09You also can rotate the forearm as well and the hands.
08:12So basically, take that idea, this idea, and this, again, add that by another four.
08:19So all these extra arms, I guess there would be three arms, two legs on the back of the
08:23body.
08:24I'm losing track of everything here.
08:25I've never had to count so many limbs on a figure's body before.
08:28This arm does rotate forward and back.
08:30It does have a hinge, so you can move it there.
08:32Again, you've got yourself the hinge on the elbow, which is right there.
08:36You want to make sure, of course, you can see the joint before you start to bend it, because
08:39if you can't see the joint and you go to bend it, you're only going to ultimately break
08:43it, and then you're going to break it, and you're going to cry, cry, cry, cry.
08:46Don't cry, whatever you do.
08:48Hands rotate, though, all the way around.
08:50Hinge back and forth there, too.
08:51The same also for this arm and this arm here.
08:54So without really going redundantly through all the same levels of posability, just, though,
08:58imagine you can do the exact same thing on this arm, forward and back and out.
09:01The same on this side.
09:03Same hinge joint on the elbow, so you can bend them there.
09:05And the same hands, again, you can rotate them all the way around.
09:08Just, again, look at the sight of this.
09:10Let's maybe take a departure away from looking at the lower half of his body instead to look
09:14at the back.
09:16The back, this piece here, doesn't have a swivel.
09:19It does have a ball joint, though, so just be careful that you don't pop the legs off
09:22in the process.
09:23These just pop back in place.
09:25There we go.
09:26This torso piece, again, doesn't swivel.
09:28So this top doesn't, the lower waist area does not as well.
09:31But the legs are on ball joints, so you can bring the legs, well, you can move them
09:35out.
09:35You can do almost a Van Damme splits.
09:37That's probably one of the worst examples of comparing it to Van Damme splits.
09:41You can also move the legs forward and back.
09:43No issues there.
09:44These back legs also do have knee articulation in two places, one and one.
09:49The feet also do have articulation, so you can move them back and forth.
09:52How many times have I already said now posability or articulation?
09:55So there's a fair bit that you can do just on the back of the feet.
09:58There are no pegs on the backs.
10:00I mean, not that really it would, I guess it could really walk on its back legs.
10:03That'd be a little bit, that'd be a little bit gross.
10:05The legs, though, I say gross.
10:07I mean, look at how gross this thing has been so far.
10:09There are ball joints, though, at the main legs of the Walker King.
10:13So again, you can split the legs about that far.
10:15They go forward and back.
10:17There's a swivel at the top of the thigh.
10:19Again, very loose on the knee.
10:21That's the one thing that kind of, again, concerns me.
10:23This knee isn't so bad.
10:24This knee, I can easily move back and forth.
10:26I feel confident.
10:27I feel secure.
10:28I feel that this knee is going to still hold out.
10:31This knee, on the other hand, though, or on the other knee, is a little loose.
10:35Let's just be careful of that.
10:36Ankle pivot up and down.
10:38Ankle rocker as well.
10:40Surprisingly, though, for all the parts that it has, and it's made of many gross parts,
10:45it seems to be able to hold its weight okay.
10:48It would be one of those things that, if it didn't come included with a display stand,
10:51I would certainly look at this right away and think, you know, a company really need
10:55to include a display stand.
10:56The Walker King, though, does stand on its own.
10:59But I would certainly, though, recommend using a display stand to keep this thing upright.
11:04Again, I do really like the design of it.
11:06It certainly is one of the more interesting monster versions of Walkers.
11:11Because generally, like zombies, we get the characteristic zombies that have notable traits about them.
11:16And they have nicknames.
11:17And they have things that the fans have called them and coined them.
11:20That the Walker King is certainly one by far.
11:22One of the most grotesque things we've seen in The Walking Dead.
11:26Made of many parts.
11:27As you can see, though, all the parts.
11:29Very, again, a credit to Hire Toys that every one of those things could actually move.
11:33The only thing it can't seem to move is, again, the waist on the back legs.
11:37The torso on the piggybacking hitchhiker.
11:40You can't move those, but you can move everything else around it.
11:44Then on top of that, the fact that you get yourself a neat-looking display stand.
11:47Walker King, though, is a fine-looking figure.
11:49Still, though, the fact that they're charging only $24.99, $25 online.
11:53The asking price if you're looking to get any exquisite miniseries for yourself.
11:56If you're a big fan of The Walking Dead, I would imagine you probably already have your sights set on this.
12:02Even if you're not a fan of Walking Dead.
12:03And maybe you don't have any invested interest to get yourself the Negan.
12:06Looking at a character as grotesque and made of the many parts that it has.
12:10The Walker King, I could imagine, would be one that someone would want to pick up.
12:14Even if they're not so familiar with the series.
12:16I knew it was going to happen.
12:17I was going to leave out points of posability.
12:20Talking about limbs so much, I completely overlooked the fact that the Walker King does also have a posable upper torso
12:26and a posable lower stomach right around its waist.
12:29So you can move it around in those places, too.
12:31I wouldn't want to spend the time to try to tally up how many posability points that figure has.
12:37If anybody's been watching along this video, you can let me know down below in the comments section.
12:40It's a lot.
12:42Needless to say, it's a lot.
12:44And Negan and Maggie would definitely be in trouble coming across this thing.
12:47Now, if you would like to come across the Walker King and add it to your current collection
12:51of the exquisite miniseries that you've been collecting from High Toys,
12:54just know, though, this guy's slated to drop this thing.
12:57This many things is slated to drop July this month, 2025.
13:02The asking price online, not bad, $24.99, $25.
13:05For that, you can't beat picking up an exquisite miniseries of a zombie that looks this gross.
13:11I know we don't really call them zombies.
13:12We call them walkers.
13:13What do you guys, though, think of the Walker King?
13:15Let me know down below in the comments section.
13:17Instant pickup, perhaps?
13:19A big thank you again to the folks over at High Toys that did provide this sample.
13:23Certainly, though, if you guys did enjoy this video, you can do it a solid and throw it a like.
13:26You guys want to stick around for more so?
13:28Yeah, I hope so.
13:29Hit the subscribe, turn on that bell.
13:30The most important thing, of course, as always, is that you're coming back.
13:33We're going to be wrapping up things right now for Manhattan and the Dead City,
13:37but just know that there's going to be more videos in the pipeline coming your way.
13:40As always, thanks for watching.
13:42See you guys next time.
