Transcript
00:00I'm Alexandra Bernard and this week in the store cattle market, winter conditions have impacted yarding numbers, quality and prices.
00:09At Gloucester last Thursday, agents said steers were firm to $40 dearer, while heifers slipped $20 to $40 a head with lesser quality and condition.
00:19At Dubbo last Friday, the market felt the winter chill with both prices and quality impacted.
00:25Prices were back about $100 a head on both steers and heifers on the previous week.
00:31Down in Braidwood, agents said recent wild weather reduced yarding numbers.
00:36However, demand was still strong, putting a floor in the market with prices generally firm to dearer.
00:42This week, the land will be on the ground at Carrefour when more than 3,000 head are expected and Tamworth with more than 4,500.
